Hearts Under Fire
I’m finding it a little hard to classify this book because it’s sort of stand-alone, but it’s also not. There are references to events and people that I’m guessing are from the sister series: Red-Hot SEALs, that feel a little out of context within this short read. However, the chemistry between Aiden and Demi in this book is absolutely explosive. You can feel the energy drawing them together, it radiates from the page. I also really loved all the little moments of silliness that are sprinkled throughout the story. This leaves them in a good place, but I definitely want to know more.
Trust Under Fire
I enjoyed this book. In fact, I think I enjoyed it more than the first in the series. Though, as a romantic suspense, it’s heavy on the suspense and extremely light on the romance. Which, to my mind, isn’t a very effective way for a second chance romance to work. Maybe it’s because this story was longer, I wasn’t as able to gloss over the niggly little things that bothered me the way I was with the first one. I understand the emotional connection that can be created in a short period of time in a highly stressful situation. I just wasn’t fully feeling that connection between Emma and Lucas. I understand that deep tissue damage can be more extensive than what appears at skin level, but Emma’s reaction to her injuries seems wildly out of proportion to the hurts we’re told she received. And, I know that in times of crisis people can perform feats that seem supernatural. But even though I thought Cuddles was one of the best characters in the book, I’m having a hard time reconciling the personality shift from cowering and terrified to avenging protector in only a matter of days. In spite of all those things, I still had a lot of fun reading this. Following the dark terror that stalked Emma was extremely compelling. Now that we’ve met Rio, I’m anxious to see where his book takes us.
Loyalty Under Fire
This series gets better and better with each volume published. I loved just about everything about this book. I adore Becca. She is everything a heroine in this genre usually isn’t. She’s strong and smart and feisty. She doesn’t take her safety for granted and she has a bone deep belief in what she knows to be true. She also doesn’t turn into a puddle of goo every time the hero ‘smoulders’ at her. Which, considering how much horrible treatment of her he needed to make up for was delightfully refreshing. Rio, on the other hand, made me want to scream in frustration. Years ago, he judged Becca on other people’s faulty impressions of her and he treated her like crap. And he really hasn’t outgrown that behavior. I really enjoyed the way the suspense played out over the course of this story. The villain wasn’t a surprise to me, but the motive caught me off guard. I’m a little disappointed in how quickly the ending wraps up, though. I wanted to see Rio atone more for his treatment of Becca. I admire her ability to let go of past hurts, but the vindictive part of me really wanted to see more grovelling. I’m very looking forward to seeing what the next book brings us based on the tidbits we’ve been fed throughout this series.

We’ve seen the tension between Tag and Sarah through the earlier books in the series, so I was very ready to finally learn what the end result was going to be. Getting there was a twisty, dramatic roller-coaster ride that frequently left me yelling at my reader – for both good and bad reasons. I loved Sarah’s strength and Tag’s devotion, but I was slightly horrified at how easily the villain was able to manipulate both of them. I suppose it’s the reader’s curse; being able to live in the heads of multiple characters in a book, Because there were a couple of times I got so frustrated that they weren’t seeing clues that I thought should have been easy to recognize. One of my favorite things about this book is that it does a cross-over with Dark Falls. I’m absolutely giddy over it. And the nerd-girl in me did a happy-dance watching the big bad SEALs geek out over laptops. I really enjoyed those little moments of humor in the story. Now that we’ve met the pair who are going to be the stars of the next book, I’m very interested in getting my hands on it.

TRUST UNDER FIRE Book #2
Lucas Trammel and Emma Jannsen had a wild sex filled romantic weekend and then he ghosted her, leaving her hurt and confused. When Emma’s house is broken into and everything is destroyed, Rio tells Lucas who shows up to help her. Things heat up when someone tries to kidnap Emma and Lucas is able to stop them. Cuddles is a great character for Emma.
LOYALTY UNDER FIRE Book #3
This story brings us to Rio and Becca and it's about their second chance. They have a very complicated history. Theirs is a very good story with engaging characters, chemistry, strong story line, suspense, and action.
FUTURE UNDER FIRE Book #4
This is the story I have been waiting for, Brett Taggert “Tag” and Sarah! Two years later and Tag is still hurt, and does not understand why Sarah broke his heart out of the blue & hooked up with another seal that he knows is unscrupulous. When Sarah is kidnapped on the day she is supposed to be marrying Mitch after having postponed the date twice, Tag, along with teammates Lucas Trammel and Devlin Russo get involved to try to find her. The more he learns about Sarah and her situation, the more questions he has to try to get answered.
Trish always writes solid romantic suspense drama that is very well done, that has great engaging characters with hot passion between them, they are action filled. These four stories are connected, I very much enjoy when we get to see previous characters. I make sure to download any new book from Trish, she is one I know that will deliver every time. I stayed up late reading as I could not put it down. I loved this box set, and consider it 5 stars.

There is plenty of action that keeps the plots moving at a perfect pace and characters that are well rounded so that you feel like you know these men and women. Each book reads pretty quickly and kept me engrossed until the end. I do tend to like a longer story but didn't miss that too much in these books.

I was on the edge of my seat. Trish McCallan is an exceptional storyteller. The drama, tension, and heat were perfect throughout the whole boxset. These stories where everything I’ve come to expect and a whole lot more from Trish McCallan. I definite recommend not just read this boxset but the whole series. Just couldn’t get enough of this series. I can’t wait to read more by this author. Happy reading everyone!!

This is a great collection of romances that are full of action, romance, steam, second chances, terrorists, kidnapping, strong women, Navy seals, love, and happy endings. You cannot go wrong with a set like this if you like fierce women and strong sexy men who do what needs to be done to protect those they love. Well-written stories that feel very realistic and characters that would make wonderful friends.

Another awesome collection of strong, sexy, possessive and very protective men. Men who do not shy away from loving their women with all they have. Some very lucky women get to find their perfect man. Great characters, steamy scenes and just awesome romances make for fantastic reads that will not disappoint.

I liked the series. I like how the books are connected and yet stand alones. The guys are protectors and there is a lot of danger, suspense, and chemistry.
