This was my first read by Nicola and I really enjoyed this story. It was a quick easy read for me.
Kane the alpha male bad boy turned Sheriff.
Grace the girl who got her heartbroken and now wants revenge on Kane all come crashing down one night and she winds up in jail. The one person who she hates is also the one person she can’t resist the push and pull I honestly felt some of a slow burn with this and I really enjoyed that.

Nicola has this insane writing style that just sucks me in from the get go, this wasn't a usually story I'm used to from her but it still reeled me in! It was refreshing, fun and easy to read!

I loved that although Kane was a bad boy we all love (and Nicola writes the bad boys so well 😈) he managed to turn his life around, that being said he was still a possessive alphahole that we all love to drool over 😏

And I loved Grace's character! The push and pull between them was EVERYTHING!

This is a quick and easy read. Grace is a girl who was wronged by Kane years ago and if it is the last thing she does she is going to get revenge. When someone destroys in in the way Kane did you really want to see them pay for what they did. But she isn't coming back to town to the same deadbeat, going no where kind of guy he was before. He is now the town sheriff and has worked hard to put his life back together. The man holds her heart and always has even though he destroyed it in the way he did. You can image her surprise when she gets back and he isn't with the Coyote gang anymore and he has had to fight really hard to make his life into something. But can she ever forgive the guy who wronged her and still holds her heart. I really loved Kane and he is guy that you just love watching his redemption but the thing that really got to me what that she just walked away and never even tried to talk to him and what she could possibly do would cost the guy everything he has worked so hard to accomplish.

This book was one that was easy to read and held me captive from start to finish. Grace is heading back to the place where her life was utterly destroyed in the most embarrassing way. She is out for vengeance to the one that caused her demise yet when she gets there she isn’t expecting what she finds. Her nemesis Kane is the one that has her heart even if he shredded it so she wants to bring him down. She plans to do the same that was done to her but when she gets to town Kane is no longer part of the Coyote gang the evil Eric is leader now and Kane is the town’s sheriff. Kane knows his past was wrong and he has tried everyday since to make up for his wrong doings and now with grace back in town not only does he need to protect her but they both need to face the past together. When Grace realizes all is not what it seems and that she has never stopped loving Kane can she forgive him and move on or is the pain still too much to bear? I loved Kane’s character the way he turned his life around and while yes Grace’s fall was painful I felt at times she should have talked to him instead of waiting. She waited ten years to come back and talk to Kane as adults and then she would have had more time with him and time to let go of the pain. She was too hurt and naive to realize that running away not only hurt her but Kane too. Her plan was to bring him down, get him fired, and walk away but she can’t bring herself to do it. I just wanted her to see how immature that plan was and that Kane was a victim as much as she was. Overall this was a great read that held my attention and made fall in love with Kane.

We really enjoyed reading Grace and Kane's story. Nicola really smashed it out of the park with this second chance bad boy turned Sheriff romance.

The cross over with the Salvation Series by Corinne Michaels was absolutely fantastic.

Kane is the ultimate bad boy alpha hole and Grace is the rich princess with a hidden heartache. One explosive night together leads to unimaginable heartache the next day.

Ten years later, Grace returns and Kane is the Sheriff. Sheriff Walker is gorgeous, dominant, and handy with handcuffs. Grace is determined to push all of his buttons. There are so many hot scenes in this book. Enjoy.

How do you celebrate the day your life was ruined when it also happens to be your birthday? By going back to ruin the one who ruined you

Grace returns to the town where she hit rock bottom to get revenge on the boy and his friends who ruined her life 10 years ago but when she returns she finds Kane is a man not a boy and annoyingly he grew up.

Grace continues with he plan anyway and ends up attacked by his friends and arrested.
This wasn’t how the plan was meant to go and now instead of ruining her will Kane be the one to save her?

I really enjoyed this book, its not so much a bully romance than a redemption romance.

Nicola Rose is a new Author for me and love her style of writing! Arrested is an emotionally captivating story that spans decades in all and comes to a head in a small town called Camp Jolie. The two main characters, Kane Walker and Grace Clemente, really sell the story from their individual perspectives. I couldn't be more pleased to give this book 5 stars and to recommend it for all to read!

Arrested is a fast paced steamy romance. Grace and Kane had a steamy one night 10 years before and everything blew up. Kane is the bad boy turned sheriff and Grace is the sad princess that is out for revenge. When she gets back into town their last catches up with them and everything explodes. I enjoyed their story and Nicola Rose’s writing style.

This was a first for me from this author but certainly not from this series. I love The Salvation Society series. I love that each is a different author and a different strong alpha protective male and the strong women. This book was full of pain and anger yet had very sweet moments that will tug at your heart. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Also recommend you go and read the many amazingly good books in the Salvation Society they are so worth it.

As expected, a stunning piece of work, over far too soon for my liking! Nicola never fails to impress and despite not being her paranormal norm, Kane and Grace were just as angsty and steamy as some of her other characters. I loved the sheriff role of Kane and their shared understanding of one another's history. Absolutely stunning!

Once again Nicola has done it. Doing what she does best. Making irresistible men that we can't help but fall in love with. Case in point.... Kane Walker. This man.....

I am obsessed with all things Nicola so the minute I heard about Arrested coming I knew I had to have it. And it did not disappoint. Welcome to the town called Camp Jolie, where all your past nightmares come back to haunt you.. This story with these two was so good!! Seeing the push and pull and the angst between these two characters was EVERYTHING> Loved it! Definitely, a must read.

You guys, the past couple weeks have been... something. Went from stressing about Christmas to isolation for the week of Christmas. Then thinning about my birthday (it was January 3rd) to again, more isolation this week & still need to stress and plan my daughter's birthday for the end of January. 

So I needed something to help distract me from reality. And that's where Arrested by Nicola Rose comes in. 

It follows Grace and Kane, who have a shared history, but what was the start of their relationship, went askew, and Grace fled. Now ten years later Grace is back to seek revenge and close that chapter in her life that has haunted her all this time. 

This book takes place between two different time frames- there is the present and 10 years ago. 

We see Grace as she is now, going into the town she once called home which brings up all the old memories, and the Grace as she was back then. There was two sides to her- the town Princess that everyone else saw, and the version of her that she kept locked away- but Kane saw through her facade. Like calls to like. Kane also had two versions of himself- the town bad boy that everyone else saw, and the version no one, not even his best friend witnessed. But Grace saw through to the real him. 

One night was all they had. They got to know each other on a deeper level, but the next morning everything changed. 

Grace fled town, leaving Kane behind. 

Kane vowed to do better, be better.

So when Grace walked back into town again, he was not the same guy she left behind all those years ago. Will Grace go through with her plan of destroying Kane like she was destroyed, or will they have a second chance at making a relationship between them work? As Grace spends a night locked up by Sheriff Kane, she realizes he isn't the only one she has to watch out for- thanks to another blast from their past vying for her attention. 

So from the months of October through January my reading slows down, a LOT because of everything that is going on between all the birthdays and holidays, and seasonal depression and I just hit a reading block and can't focus on too much. So I read less and change up what I read to try and help get through it. Arrested is a second chance police romance that takes place in the Salvation Society world (but is a stand-alone). Normally second chance isn't my favorite trope, but every once in awhile I love diving into it. This book had less angst and emotional turmoil then what I normally read. There wasn't any heavy bullying, or paranormal. It wasn't super dark- so for me, it was an easier/lighter read BUT it does have some emotional aspects and drama it just wasn't drastically done. It has the small town drama, the bad boy and spoiled princess relationship. The second chance at love and the search not only for revenge, but answers. You not only see Grace and Kane's relationship in the present but also what they were like ten years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed this book & these characters and loved reading another one of Nicola's novels. The only thing I had any issue with, is in not really a fan of the insta-love type trope, and even though they aren't progressing their love for one another in the second chapter it kinda falls under the same category.  4⭐ out of 5⭐.

This is my first book by this author, and I can say it won’t be the last I read by this author …I like her style although, this is a wild one so buckle up and hang on it will be a bumpy ride. Kane sexy as all get out Sheriff (but he wasn’t always a standup kind of guy) he dated a girl (if you can call it that) that he never forgot, and he especially didn’t forget how he ruined her young life causing her to leave her home. Ten years later Kane path has changed by turning it around to help and protecting others, but he never forgot the one person he hurt so many years ago. Grace was young in love or so she thought, the boy she was with hurt her in a way that humiliated her sending her on the run away from home just to find a little peace from it all but that isn’t something you can actually forget so to face her past head on means she has to head back home the one place she doesn’t want to be. Old memories come rushing back to her as she drives back into her hometown where he revealed both sides to herself thinking he was trustworthy now all she feels is revenge by destroying him as he had done to her. But arriving back in town she meets a grownup version of the boy she once knew, and he is the town’s sheriff. She pushes all the right buttons and earns herself locked up for a night (he locked her away to protect her) and this is where it starts to get more interesting oh and a little bumpy because Kane wants to earn her respect but most of all her trust again and possibly her love. Kane knows he ran with the wrong gang, he knows he hurt her something terrible but he wants to make it up to her by showing her the man he has become, and protecting her when it counts but will she allow him to get close to her again, will she learn to forgive, and can they find their second chance at happiness because neither of them stop loving each other but can they move passed it all?

Ok, this book surprised me. The plot was something completely different from what I was expecting and I am over the moon because it was much better than what was on my mind. The narration of this book comes back and forth in a ten-year timespan, so I will try my best not to give any spoilers.

Well, the book tells Grace and Kane's stories and it begins during the last month of high school. Grace is the rich girl who lives with parents that don't love her the way they should, but is still good. Meanwhile, Kane is part of the bad boy crew of the city. He and his friends are vicious. They are downright criminals. They deceive, they destroy and they abuse people.

Grace and Kane end up getting together on her eighteenth birthday and the video of their encounter ends up on the internet. Humiliated and ashamed, Grace leaves the city only to come back ten years later seeking revenge. But now everything has changed, the vicious playboy is now the Town Sheriff and he won't let her go.

There are too many layers in this story. Both their childhoods, and the reason they bond with each other are extremely important in this story and everything makes sense. Arrested is UNPUTDOWNABLE. I couldn't stop reading until I finished! Grace and Kane have a great chemistry and I loved how Kane's character developed during those ten years. He went from a childish nothing-can-affect-me fella to a responsible and reliable man without losing his personality. I really admire Nicola for managing to do that, Kane had a complete character makeover without losing his essence at all... I feel like I can talk about Kane all day because I think I'm love with him (lol).

Overall, the book is amazingly written. The back-and-forth format really made things even better because you keep wondering what happened in the past that caused such behavior in each character. Both Kane and Grace are well-written and lovable, even with their backgrounds. It's an amazing read and I highly recommend it!

It's been 10yrs and Grace still can't get over the events of her 18th birthday and the man she blames for her life imploding. She left town in disgrace and has never gone back until now when she feels that in order to move on with her life she needs revenge against the man who ruined her life. Kane has had to live with his regrets from that night for 10yrs he's no longer the town bad boy he's now the man responsible for protecting the town as the sheriff. He's definitely on the right side of the law these days enforcing it not breaking it. When Grace comes back and she sees that he's not the same guy she left behind will she still seek her revenge? Or can they get another chance to make things work? You really need to read this emotional story to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Arrested by Nicola Rose is A Salvation Society series novel. This is a second chance romance story following the lives of Grace and Kane 10 years after one steamy night. Kane is the ultimate bad boy alpha hole and Grace is the rich princess with a hidden heartache. When they reunite in 10 years Kane is now the sheriff and Grace is not the same quiet, tragic girl he once knew. She has grown up and is stronger than even she knows. This story is explosive and an interesting read. This book was however a little short in length and I wish it was a bit longer to allow the author to develop the characters and plot a little bit more. With that said I still highly recommend giving it a go as it was a good story. I also suggest reading more by this author ad giving her a chance.

In the last ten years Grace has never been able to get over the events of her 18th birthday or the man she holds responsible. She left town in disgrace and has returned to get the revenge she needs to move forward with her life, but she is in for a surprise as well.

Kane regrets the events of that night and is no longer that man. He is now the person enforcing the law rather than breaking it but not everyone wants these star-crossed lovers to have a second chance.

Time nor distance has diminished the chemistry and connection between them, and I enjoyed seeing them fight their way back to each other

Grace and Kane have a history and it's not a pretty one at all. Kane was a jerk and I gotta say I was not a fan at first. When Grace goes back to her hometown for closure she gets more than she bargained for when Kane is not the man she thought he was. These two will have their issues and Grace will have to decide what it is going to take to move forward. Kane knows he messed up years ago things were going on and he was the Alpha what he never thought was that years later he would face the woman who broke him. Now, these two are about to have a battle at will at the same time trying to save Grace from the gang that wants to destroy her.

I was disappointed with this one. I have been waiting for quite a while for this book. When I got the notification it was out I rushed home to read it and was disappointed within 10 pages. It bounces back and forth from past to present and from different POV. It has more past than it does present, the past is a drawn out high school encounter. The spice level is pretty mellow (another bummer) And I didn't even care finish the last few pages honestly. I wouldn't recommend to my friends to read honestly. I gave three stars because it could've been worse, at least I could make it semi through.
All in all, I'd pass this one up.

Kane reformed himself from a bad boy, who is not the town’s sheriff. When Grace has an altercation Kane arrest her. Will these two confront the past and have closure? This is a slow burn, fast paced quick read, with passion, intrigue, emotions, turmoil, revelations, revenge, redemption, and is a steamy page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.

Wow, this book had me so enthralled from beginning to end. One night that changed the lives of two teenagers who were both in pain from similar situations. Grace’s 18 birthday ended in humiliation, scandal, pain and hatred for the boy who she thought really saw her. Now 10 years later, she’s back in Cape Jolie seeking her revenge on the man who she hasn’t forgotten for 10 yrs. What a storyline and characters that grab your heart. Amazing read!

This was my first read by this author but ive just discovered the Salvation Series so this one popped up for me to read it, so i did lol
Grace heads back to her home town after being run out 10 years previously.. shes set out for revenge and is determined to break those that broke her.
Kane has went from leader of the coyotes group to leader of the whole town and cant believe his eyes when he sees just who has returned home.
Sparks, intense moments and emotions galore are then all rolled into one hot session in the cells no less!

Well this was a captivating read. Ten years ago Grace left town angry and hurt. Kane has spent the last ten years trying to be a better person and stay away from the Coyotes aka gang he once belonged to. Grace wants revenge what occurred ten years ago. She and Kane come face to face and need to hash out the past. But will they get past it and move forward or will the past consume them. Meanwhile Eric wants revenge and Grace and Kane are his targets. There is pain, sadness and healing.

Loved the story line. The only fault was the jumping back and forwards not my normal sort of read. But would recommend others to read this book. In a way it is a sad story. Eric is an Asshole, Jane is also too until her grows up and Ganges his life around. Grace is hurting for reasons out of her control. But Jane has always wanted to fix it but never knew how or where to start . Spice level 4

3.5☆ for me this one.
I enjoyed this story overall.
I'm not a massive fan of flashbacks every other chapter etc, but it didn't feel too bad in this book, tho I did find it easy to lose track of the current timeline.
The book definitely deals with some sensitive topics, so if you have any triggers please check the warnings prior to reading as I can imagine some.of the subject matter could be quite distressing for some.
All in all it was a decent story, and worth a read.
