She hates my family & I’m falling for her. A pretty local girl needs some help with moving furniture for a clearance sale, and I was just being nice. I didn’t realize she had serious hate toward my family. It’s almost comical. Regardless, she’s got me trapped. Something about her leaves me willing to ignore the signs to run and instead I find myself wanting more and more time with her. That time wasn’t supposed to include a tumble in the sheets, but it did. One night was all I got. Then we went our separate ways. I tried not to think about her too much, not until I heard she was pregnant. Why wouldn’t she tell me about the little one? There’s no choice but to make her mine, which was my desire in the first damn place. She’s wrong about us Montgomery boys. We may have a rough touch, but we have good hearts. Time to take back what’s mine.
Jessica Mills loves the HEA found in a Hallmark movie, must have coffee first thing in the morning, and a homebody that loves living in the country. She’s definitely family-oriented and an animal lover at heart except for snakes….nope! She recently relocated back to East Tennessee with her husband and daughter to be closer to family, she has a son that lives in Florida, and three furbabies that complete her everyday life. She’s always wanted to be a writer and put the stories from her head to paper. She never thought that would come to fruition until she met Ali Parker.
I love the Montgomery Boys and love Boone and Robyn, that being said I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in this book. This is definitely not Jessica Mills best work. The story felt rushed and so disjointed. So many parts of the story were touched on but never explained or given any context. Most saddened that Boone's story seem to get cheated after 6 wonderful brothers stories this was not up to par. The whole crazy bits and pieces about the strong patriarch Cassidy just seemed to be thrown in there with no explanations. NOT THE BEST JESSICA MILLS EFFORT, SO SAD. PLEASE JESSICA - DO JUSTICE TO CASSIDY'S STORY!!
This is the Seventh book in The Montgomery Boys Series and this is Boone's story. This book can be read as a standalone but you'll have better enjoyment if you read the series. The brothers are all great guys with interesting stories that you won't want to miss. Their stories interact just like you think various family members would. There are eight Montgomery boys and they not only have money, great looks but wild reputations. They're considered reckless and full of themselves. But underneath their public personas are some beautiful souls. For some reason Robyn harbors bad feelings toward the Montgomery's. But after a night of too much to drink she and Boone become intimate and she is left with a 'little reminder'. Boone has to find out via the grapevine that she is expecting and he wants to claim his family. Robyn had some issues but once she worked through them she became likable. The chemistry between the two was off the charts. This was a good story that was full of drama and some twists. Finally we have an HEA, I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.
Will Robyn See Boone's True Self Through His Rough Touch ❤❤🔥❤❤
Of all the brothers, Boone is the charmer always ready with a joke to take the attention away from whoever is on the spot. That's one of the things Robyn dislikes about Boone, besides he's a damn Montgomery. Robyn's life is turned upside down when her parents decide to retire and close their furniture store. It's where she grew up and planned her future around running it when the time came. Boone can't understand Robyn's dislike but that doesn't deter him at the Harvest Dance. One beer turns into another and another until eventually slipping off to talk. A roll in the hay, literally, then a positive or two on a stick changes everything. After the shock wears off, Boone is insistent that he help with anything Robyn needs and be be a part of the baby's life. Their relationship evolves the more Robyn understands the layers that guide the real Boone. They plan on raising the baby as friends until Robyn is in an accident. Their path in life might be going backwards with a baby first but can they get on the right track going forward?? A page turning enemies to lovers story that you MUST READ!!! Boone and Robyn are great for each other on all accounts. I can't wait to see Cassidy's story unfold with all the tidbits given in this book!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and purchased a copy for my favorites collection.
I thought this was the last book and I loved it but I believe there’s one more to go. I have truly enjoyed reading the Montgomery brothers series by Jessica Mills. This is the Seventh book in The Montgomery Boys Series and this is Boone's story. I think this is my fav so far, although I write that in every review. I recommend reading in order. There are 8 Montgomery brothers. They are all handsome, wealthy and have wild reputations but no one, accept those they love know just how sweet their hearts are. This story is about Boone and Robyn. Robyn had an issue with the Montgomery brothers but no one knows what it is. Boone and her get to drinking and have a wild night together and little did she realize he left her with more then just a sweet memory. She doesn’t tell him and Boone has to find out via the grapevine that she is expecting. He’s the kind of man that wants to be a part of his child’s life and Perseus her. I wasn’t a fan or Robyn’s but once she got out what was buggin her and worked through it she was more likeable. This couple had chemistry that could light up the sky. It was a good read with some unexpected twists that kept me reading. I received an arc from the author and purchased a copy as well
I'm struggling with this book. Robyn is the MOST UNLIKABLE woman I've ever read about. She's rude, obnoxious, arrogant, and full of hatred towards a group of brothers for what? Just existing. Literally nothing she can come up with can justify her hatred. Oh and we learn she's in her 30s!!!!!!!
Halfway through she gets better
My biggest pet peeve with this author, besides being long winded, is she seems to forget all about her other couples. Usually one gets mentioned, maybe two. Oh sure they may TALK about the other couples but there's no interactions. Worst part is we find out that a few of his brothers have had babies!!!! Nothing mentioned before now or anything about the babies.
And I'm still waiting for something to be said about the Montgomery patriarch. We were told in Book 1 how mean and violent he was with Jesse and then.........nothing. if this doesn't come out and get closure then what was the point of writing aboutit
Oh I just loved Boone and Robyn story!! Robyn thought she was amused to the Montgomery charm and Boone most of all but in one night that all changed!! He showed her the good man is and they got a little surprise along the way!! They are exactly what each other needed!! I would recommend this book to everyone!!
Wow, what a great read to this series. Reading the books in sequential order makes it all pretty realistic. It’s bad when there are feud in communities that start as inconsequential things and ultimately blow up into generational disputes. Hopefully the next and last book in this series addresses these issues.
This is a fantastic book to read from srartvto end book has held my attention. Story was well written and the characters were awesome. Yet another fantastic book in the series that should be read by all. Highly recommend.
This was Boone and Robyn's story. They both got drunk and were alone during the Harvest Festival, she ends up pregnant. Now to figure out what to do next.
This is Boone Montgomery and Robyn's story. I had some problems with this story. It just didnt seem to flow as well as some of the others. There were timed I was losing interest but I knew there eas only one more book in the seried so I eanted to push on. In the end its a HEA.
Robyn, a gal struggling with her present, has always felt that Boone, Montgomery boy of all trades, is seeking out being the center of attention and doesn’t care for him at all. As the story progresses kind actions go unwanted, a lapse in judgement has consequences, and trying to see the truth through the lies may not allow for a future together. Jessica Mills created an excellent enemies to lovers romance in His Rough Touch. I cannot wait to see how things unfold for Cassidy after the revelations in this book.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Robyn thought she had her future all planned out and that she would assume control of her parent’s furniture store so finding out that they have sold it leaves her floundering.
Boone is one of the Montgomery brothers and is well aware of the reputation his family has but he isn’t about to let that come between him and Robyn. When their one steamy evening together has unexpected consequences, he is determined to show her that it is the best thing to happen to either one of them.
This is a heartwarming story about love and family as although their journey wasn’t without its challenges once they acknowledge their feelings for each other there is no denying that they belong together.
This is Boone and Robyn's story. Boone is the second to last brother left not to have fallen in love and settled down. It is not necessary to read all the books that came before this but it helps you under stand the family dynamics and the other brothers that are mentioned through out the story.
Robyn and Boone have grown up together and the Montgomery Boys all 8 of them have a bad name they are considered reckless and some think the world revolves around them, they have money and looks. Once you actually get to know them you know that what everyone thinks isn't always true some have a beautiful soul that is just waiting to be unlocked.
Robyn's family has owned the furniture store in town for the past 25 years but are having to close down due to economic reasons and big franchise moving in. Boone tries to help move some furniture but Robyn isn't having any of it she doesn't need his help this was suppose to be hers one day and now its all gone, what is she going to do. One night of passion leads to consequences neither imagined. Robyn doesn't want Boone in her life but if Robyn is pregnant with his child than she will see that being with a Montgomery boy isn't all that bad,
Ok, I am getting worried...this is book 7...and there are only 8 brothers. Is it coming to an end? I love these books. I love finding out about all these HOT Montgomery Boys...and they are all HOT. Now it is Boone's turn but no one guessed that it would be with Robyn McClean. Sure her family owned a furniture store in town for years. And sure she is gorgeous, but for some reason she does not like the Montgomery's. WHY!!! Who knows. I see the Montgomery boys around town. I hear about the Montgomery Boys all the time. They have a big ranch, they are loved by all...but I am not one of them. Then in come Boone to my parents store, the one that is closing down for good. My dreams for the future are gone. What am I going to do??? Well one this is for sure...the future is wide open, you never know what is going to happen. Even to Robyn and Boone. This is a great book and you will love reading what happens between these two. It is a must read. Ciao
One more Montgomery brother down and one more to go. This time our story focuses on the happy-go-lucky brother: Boone. Now, I’ve been reading this series for long enough that these boys feel a bit like my babies, and I had a whole bunch of momma bear feelings against Robyn when we first started to get to know her. I didn’t like her very much and I couldn’t understand where all her meanness was coming from directed towards the Montgomery family. I really wasn’t able to warm up to her until she was able to look beyond her own issues and see Boone for himself. But once the pair started getting vulnerable with each other, I fell head over heels for them. And now that we’re seeing the faint outline of what may be coming next, I’m dying to get my hands on Cassidy’s book. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Robyn has had a thing against the Montgomery brothers for as long as she can remember. Boone is the guy who uses humor to put people at ease and smooth out tension... it's just never worked with Robyn and he's not sure why. A drunken encounter seems like it could be the beginning for them... but will she let down her guard and give him a chance? Plenty of chemistry between these two as they face new challenges and battle old foes... will the Hayes family ever get what's coming to them? Will Addy play more of a role in their lives? Guess we'll have to see what's next for Cassidy...have enjoyed this series so far.
This is the seventh book in the series and it doesn't disappoint. This is Boone and Robyn's story that doesn't start out well as Robyn doesn't really like Boone, that is until they spend so time together when they have both had a little too much to drink. Their future together has now changed as she is pregnant but does she want to be with him. Boone knows what he wants but can he get Robyn to change her mind about him. I loved how they were together but will they get their HEA. Plenty of drama with so much emotion and little bit of suspense. Loved how the book ended and can't wait to read Cassidys book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This was a wonderful story of Boone and Robyn. They have been good friends for years but a chance meeting one night will change their life forever! They have a memorable night together and think that’s that but when she finds out she’s got a surprise from that night it’s changes that. As they figure things out they get closer and realize that they are what they want to be a family together. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
He flirted, she deflected. Boone has no idea why Robyn dislikes him. But he’s going to do everything he can to change her mind. One drunken night in a hayloft and their paths are crossed forever. And it is such a glorious forever. I love this book. Soulmates that just have to realize it. Excellent.
Book 7 in the Montgomery Boys series which means there is only one more to go which will be very disappointing. This series has been so very enjoyable. This book is Boone’s turn to find his person. Robyn and Boone’s story is well written and a very good read.
This was a good read. Boone and Robyn have a night together. She ends up pregnant. The problem is that Robyn has some issues. Thankfully it all works out in the end and they get their happy ending.
Boone and Robyn's story has a well thought out plotline that includes suspense, intrigue, drama, suspense and conflict but it also has enough love between two old friends who after a chance meeting one evening realise that their relationship will never be the same again.
You don't have to have read the previous books in this series to enjoy this one but I would recommend that you do read them if you enjoy stories about close families because that what we have here. It's a sometimes spicy, sometimes sweet but always enjoyable and interesting read.
Boone Montgomery was raised to be a gentleman, caring, devoted to making jokes to diffuse tense situations. Robyn on the other hand was always sarcastic towards Boone. She thought he was a class clown with his jokes. All it took was on night at the festival up in the hayloft to change their lives for the better together. Well thought out, great characters by Jessica Mills. Sad to think there is just one more Montgomery brother left who is unattached - or is he? Waiting for Book 8 in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is a wonderful addition to The Montgomery Boys series, fast-paced and fun to read. Well-written and entertaining. The storyline is entertaining and the characters absolutely lovely. Loved them as a couple.
