If you’re looking for a small town romance, that’s gritty, tough, brave and courageous, then look no further! This story was devastatingly heartbreaking when reading everything Sophia had to sacrifice to survive and the things she needed to withstand to protect her younger brother. But don’t worry there is a happy ending!
Sophia has not had an easy life ever since her Nonna died. Her mother isn’t able to handle her death and ultimately turns to drugs and alcohol to cope. Unfortunately, this is where Sophia has to step up to take care of her little brother and shield him from the trauma that unfolds within their tiny trailer.
Then comes along Noah. Gah…Noah! Where can I find a man like him? He comes to town due to his company and is the step-brother to her mom’s current fling. It was instant attraction for Noah when he first laid eyes on Sophia. He was the perfect alpha male with the right amount of protectiveness for Sophia and her little brother Lorenzo. To watch the progression and struggles of Noah and Sophia’s relationship pulled at my heartstrings.

There were so many emotions that I had the pleasure of experiencing while reading this story. Happiness, anger, sadness, heartbreak, and love. There were moments where I laughed from the banter between Noah and Sophia, and cried, especially reading Noah’s letter. To see the conflict and soul searching these characters needed to face head on was beautiful, raw and gut-wrenching.

I absolutely loved how the last chapter essentially was resembling the same lines from the first chapter. To see how the book comes full circle was so neat and something I had never seen before.
