An epic tale of both betrayal and all-consuming love.
Marcus, the villain. Cody Walsh, the FBI agent who knows too much. And Delilah, the lawyer caught in between.
This is the complete This Love Hurts trilogy in one collection.
He enters the car accompanied by a chill from the evening wind and the car rocks gently until he's seated behind me and the door is shut. His scent fills my lungs first and as it does, I remember that I've been told that smell is the sense that holds the most memory. Maybe I read it somewhere, but I've never known something to be truer than that fact is now.
When I open my eyes, his chilling gaze is on mine in the rearview mirror and my treacherous heart chokes me in an attempt to escape. It hovers at the base of my throat, pounding viciously in protest. I did always love him. There wasn't a moment that I didn't love him. He knows that. He has to know that I still love him; we just simply couldn't be together. We decided. We decided together. "You said you'd let me go," I whisper, speaking over my strangled breaths. My gaze never leaves his, even as tears prick my eyes. Not until he answers me. "I changed my mind."
Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.
In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

okay. im going to keep this review vague because the synopsis is vague and its best to go into this blind.
but the whole ‘serial killer + FBI agent + criminal lawyer’ romantic suspense of this is 100% my kind of story. i really loved the greyness of it all. its so twisty, so morally questionable, but absolutely riveting at the same time. i was hooked right from the beginning and happily fell down a rabbit hole of secrets, crime, and passion.
each book is super short, so i recommend picking this up and reading them all in one go. i found the flow to be better and a more enjoyable reading experience overall. its also easier to review the series as a whole.
the plot was engaging, but the romance made no sense. obviously, i shipped the h with the guy she ended up with at the end. but i missed the part where she went from loving the FBI agent to loving the serial killer. when did that happen? what brought it on?
jk it wasn’t terrible at first. I fully intended to rate this 3 stars but there was a turning point about halfway through the book where shit hit the fan.
Characters and love stories started to not make sense. The couples were weird and relationships based on nothing. The whole squad needs therapy man. I hate that girly is not a girlfriend but emotional support placebo psychiatrist. Marcus’ character did not feel realistic. It was just weird. He didn’t come across as the ruthless person he was described as and it put me off. I understand his obsession with main girly, but I don’t understand her feelings towards him and I don’t get the feelings between Cody and her either (except for sexual attraction, real feelings seemed to not have come natural somehow).
The writing was okay but overdone. I don’t need to read a paragraph about how the main character makes her coffee in the morning.
The books also lacked hella spice. I never ask for smut but this book would have benefited from (better written) smutty scenes.
You know, I am always so skeptical about anti-heros. Especially with Marcus and what we’ve seen that he is able to do. When I first read Do You Want Me? and we started to get a taste of what was to come, I didn’t think I’d like Marcus at all. But my mind changed after reading this book. I honestly feel like I am dying over here. I NEED book three right now! Oooo, I wish I could say more on why but just know you are in for a treat. It’s the perfect balance of mystery, suspense and drama and I just want and need more of Delilah and Marcus. If there are two things that Willow is great at, it’s being able to grab your attention and hold it for the duration of the book and she is able to write really interesting characters with backstories that you aren’t even remotely prepared for. She has perfected this in many of her books and this is one of them. We’ve only touched the surface of what I am sure is to come and I can’t wait to see what happens! And that ending, it left my jaw on the ground.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
But I Need You -
Holy moly I’m just going to jump right into it. This is the fastest a book has ever sucked me into it.
All the little clues and tidbits of information on all three of these characters, especially Marcus, we just so mind boggling. I honestly had to sit and think over everything that was given to us and think about all the possible reasons that happened and outcomes that could follow. This book is a total mind fuck and I’m REALLY loving Marcus. A lot. I know I really shouldn’t like him as much, he’s a bad man, but I’m just so drawn to him and all the mystery around him. I also LOVE allllll of the sexual tension between Marcus and Delilah! Their sexy scenes had me fanning my face, boy are they hot, hot, hot!! This book went way above my expectations and truly blew me away! This is one of those books that sink their teeth into you really quick and don’t let you go until you finish. I’m shook to the core and I’m ready for the final book and to, hopefully, get all my questions answered.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And I Love You the Most -
“Never did I play the part of damsel in distress. This isn’t a fairytale; my princes lie and cheat and kill. They hide in dark corners and play vicious games with violent men.”
The final leg of Marcus, Delilah and Cody’s story and I am so sad to see it go. I have been waiting for what feels like a lifetime and boy was that worth it. This book is epic and a rollercoaster of all the emotions. I truly don’t wanna say too much just because I don’t wanna give anything away. But I will say is that you will be taken on a ride of your life, going about 150 miles per hour and not be let go until the end. I honestly couldn’t get enough and really didn’t want this book to end or put it down at all. I was truly biting my nails off until the last page. My heart broke for Marcus, Delilah and Cody. Not once, not twice, but multiple times throughout this book. It was absolutely heartbreaking at times. Wow. It was just an amazing book from beginning to end. What a stellar way to end this series! With all of the emotion, heartbreak and devastation I give this book all of the stars!
“With a black wool coat and dark blue jeans, a hint of stubble on his face and freshly cut hair, he could pretend to be a CEO or businessman and I’d fall for it. Those baby blue eyes of his could fool the best of the world into believing whatever he said.”
Love triangle between a lawyer, a FBI agent, and a serial killer? SIGN ME UP.
The premise of this collection was so so good. Delilah, Marcus, and Cody consumed me the past two days. I had no idea what was going to happen then entire time reading.
There was plot, steam, twists, suspense, and everything else I love in romantic suspense novels.
The only reason this is getting 4 instead of higher is because there was some dragging. Winters is really great at the inner monologues, and less detailed about actions/setting/etc. I love this part of reading because it transports me into the book, and this felt a little lacking to me.
1/ This love hurts Finally we get Marcus’s story. That mysterious boogeyman that we got a glimpse of in every book of the Merciless world. The serial killer who messes with the Cross brothers. Are you interested yet? I sure hope so. As a real constant in the author’s universe, we only got a little teaser about him in the prologue Do you want me? We already knew he had a connection with Cody Walsh–another well known character in the universe, a former FBI agent who blackmails Carter Cross and his brothers–and Delilah Jones–who recently became a recurring character. Let me tell you though, you won’t get all the answers in this book. Just hints that you can read however you want. You’ll end up with a hunch, but no clear explanation.
And that’s why this book is great. It’s real suspense. The main characters don’t know much more than you. They just discover pieces of evidence at the same time that you do. But until the truth is revealed, you’ll stay as confused as them.
It’s very short though, as the first half of the book is actually the prologue, already published. You can skip it if you read it before. That makes for a very quick read, and you can’t help but regret it isn’t longer. At least, it ends with a gripping cliffhanger.
This story happens years before the other books in the Merciless world. So we already know how it ends, sort of. But the journey is more interesting than the destination. If you haven’t read any other book from this universe, don’t worry, I’m sure the current situation will be revealed by the end of the last book of this new series. In the meantime, enjoy the trip.
2/ But I need you Hard to write a review highlighting my favorite moments without giving away major plot points, but let’s see what I can do.
First, damn Willow Winters for making me feel for a serial killer! This book focuses on the mysterious Marcus, and we finally learn who he is, and what his motives are. Most of them, at least. We discover more of his past at the same time as Delilah, and let’s just say I became as intrigued as she was too. The love triangle aspect becomes more prominent. It makes this book sexier than the previous one in the trilogy.
Marcus’s activities are another point of focus, and thus you get more gruesome scenes, on par with the rest of the Merciless universe.
After the tease that was the first book, this one is definitely meatier, but it left me hungry for more Marcus.
3/ And I love you the most It’s always difficult to review such a book without giving anything away. I just want to say, what an ending! I wasn’t sure what to expect because of the mentions of Delilah, Marcus and Cody in other books in the Merciless universe. Everything has always been vague. Now that I know their story, I’ll have to revisit the other series.
Three broken characters who have a deep connection with each other, an unhealthy love/hate/fear relationship that can’t remain the same after Delilah’s kidnapping. Emotions are high between them, and it was sometimes hard to read, only because I felt deeply for them. The three of them.
Sure, there are other characters. Real bad guys–in case you hadn’t figured out that Marcus is more complicated than he seems–friends, family members, co-workers… But this trilogy is first and foremost the story of Marcus, and his relationship with Delilah and Cody. And with this final book, maybe we finally get to see who he really is.
My main complain is about Delilah’s father, especially how she reacts when she learns the truth about him. I felt like this point was quickly resolved, when there are so many things to say about it. But maybe we’ll get more answers in another book. This universe is so dense!
I read book .5 years ago and finally decided to finish the series… and what a treat it was.
Not only is there suspense going on, but we have a love triangle… one I was down for 👀.
Who’s the hero? The FBI Agent Cody who’s well-liked and trusted? Who has a sad past but has secrets of his own?
Or is it the villain? The anti-hero who brings justice and is a known criminal with a tragic backstory?
Sigh. I was gripped and couldn’t get enough…
There’s sooo much tension…
But, I wish it had been steamier 😒. We get so many tense-filled moments, which means I expected epic 🔥 scenes, but they weren’t as 🔥 as I would’ve liked. Sigh.
What I Would Do For You is the complete This Love Hurts trilogy boxset featuring This Love Hurts, But I Need You, And I Love You The Most.
This Love Hurts is a well-written, suspenseful story that will have you engrossed and at the edge of your seat from beginning to end. I've been anxious for this novel for a while now as I'm excited to find out who exactly is Marcus. While this story focuses mostly on Delilah and Cody, Marcus does indeed make a couple appearances and I'm left anxious for more. Some questions are answered and more questions arise as we go on this journey with these three individuals. The story was fast-paced and mysterious, filled with excellent world building, nail biting angst, fascinating characters and a well thought-out, layered and descriptive plot. This Love Hurts is a fantastic page-turner that will give you all the feels as you will experience everything these characters go through. What a fantasttic start to this trilogy.
OMG I've been so anxious for But I Need You and I was not disappointed. This romantic suspense will have you at the edge of your seat frantically turning the pages to know more. Told in multiple POV, the story of Delilah, Cody and Marcus continues and we are still no where closer to knowing their connection. This is the 2nd book in the trilogy and we get a glimpse into Marcus's life and how he became the man he is today. The mystery, twists and turns, the intense chemistry, and revelations all made this novel one I couldn't put down and the jaw dropping cliff hanger ending leaves me anxious for the next book in the trilogy. But I Need You was an action packed, steamy, well-written and layered page turner that will consume you. I loved it and would highly recommend it to all lovers of romantic suspense.
Wow.....this really was an epic tale. The conclusion to Marcus, Cody and Delilah's story was intense, thrilling and just downright brilliant. The story was unpredictable and had me guessing at every turn. It will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride and I was hooked from beginning to end frantically reading to find out more. This angsty, heartbreaking and suspenseful page turner is the 3rd book in the This Love Hurts trilogy and I don't want to give any spoilers but I will say this book was worth the wait as everything was revealed in the end. I loved it. I couldn't get enough of it. I was left speechless. I would highly recommend it.
I was so excited for this because I’m a fan of love triangles (yes I know) and I thought I’d eat this up but that wasn’t the case. I think the concept was great but the execution sucked. Like homegirl fell in love after one kiss. Some parts were confusing af and I really don’t remember much even though I just finished it 2 minutes ago. This isn’t one of those books I’ll be thinking about for a long time, but at least I read the whole trilogy in one book or I wouldn’t have finished it otherwise.
What I Would Do For You follows Marcus who has remained a mystery for so long to us. In This Love Hurts, Willow Winters is finally starting to show us who Marcus really is. He has always been the mystery tying so many people together but who is he? This Love Hurts is the first book in the collection & starts to show us that. It shows us the history between Marcus, Cody & Delilah. Cody & Delilah have been friends for awhile & their relationship has gotten closer. Cody is trying to protect Delilah from Marcus. What is Cody & Marcus' connection? Why is Marcus after Delilah? I love the twisted web that Willow Winters weaves with her stories & characters. But I Need You is the next book in the collection. The dynamics between Marcus, Delilah & Cody are unbelievable. Just when I thought that I was starting to figure things out, here comes another curve ball. Willow is amazing on what she has done. She knows how to grab a hold of you & never let go until the end. She is also the Queen of Cliffhangers & has once again done that with this book. I can't wait to see what happens with Marcus, Delilah & Cody in the next book. I want to find out what is really going on with all of them. How are they are truly connected too? And I Love You The Most is the third book in the collection. What a conclusion!!! I have loved this series from the start. Willow Winters has left us with so many questions but has finally given us the answers from the beginning of this series & even this world...Who is Marcus. This book kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens. Who is Marcus really? What about Cody? How does Delilah fit into it all? I am just amazed by the way that Willow Winters weaves everything together. I can't wait to see what she comes up with for this whole world now that so many questions have been answered. Must read series & world! I am so happy that all three books are together in this wonderful collection.
The way I am absolutely not okay after finishing this book. I fear I will never be okay again. This book is a prequel to the Merciless World Series…and the way Winters backtracks to build more history for the Merciless series is beautifully stunning. And that ending? I can’t. I’ll never recover. I never expected that beautiful plot twist right at the end. Talk to me in 10 business days, maybe I’ll have recovered by then.
Here goes another 5⭐️ read. Fbi, serial killer, prosecutor and mystery it was my type of read and i fully enjoyed it. I like it though she love both of guys even though she love more one than another kinda gives me twillight feeling. I did not see the twists coming being brother and delilah’s father. I wanted more at the end but there wasn’t much of an epilogue and it finished fast.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Oh my gosh, this book! This was dark suspenseful with an engaging plot and morally grey characters.
Delilah is a lawyer and she is mixed up in a whole big mess with Cody, the FBI agent that she has feelings for and Marcus, the serial killer who can't stay away from her. They are all connected in so many ways and the roller coaster that is this boxed set doesn't let up. I love a great morally grey set of characters because it lends some realism in some crazy situations. And this book has PLENTY of crazy! The twists and turns are explosive and the passion is unbridled.
What I Would Do for You will grip your heart and leave you breathless.
I have heard too many praises for Willow Winters and I adore her on tiktok so I'm not gonna let this be a one and done. I'm trying another of her books but this one was a firm no for me.
I don't believe there's anything this amazing author could write that I wouldn't love hard. And y'all are so lucky that you get the This Love Hurts Trilogy in one place because I waited on each book coming out (and not even close to patiently either).
This Love Hurts (Book 1): OH MY EVER LOVIN' HOLY HELL! WHAT DID I JUST READ?! This Love Hurts took me on a wild ride consisting of twists & turns to get the f-bombs dropping with those bombs getting louder & louder. I'm not going into detail since there is so much suspenseful/thriller goodness going on so I believe that even a cryptic description from me may or may not give things away, so just look at the blurb. I seriously still have a book hangover after finishing it, and it took me a cool minute before I could even write this review to be honest. I have so many questions, and am confused about some things because nothing was really answered yet, just tiny pieces of the puzzle given but it's not clear what the whole puzzle will look like. This story is W. Winters at her best, and I desperately NEED more immediately after being pushed off of a cliff which has me dying inside.
But I Need You (Book 2) There are just some books that I hate to review, and But I Need You is one of those because I legit want to scream every detail to every person because it's that INSANE! Of course I won't because I wouldn't do that to an author but seriously, my cat knows every detail so I could get it out of my system since I know he'll never tell. I'm a dark & twisty soul which is why Marcus sings to me, even though he's not exactly a good dude (just needed to get that out of my system). I guess it's because of the fact that he's mysterious & I NEED TO KNOW what is going on as there aren't many questions answered, just more clues to keep me on the edge of my seat with my mind trying to figure it out. It means that the brilliant W. Winters has provided me with such crazy twists that I found myself firmly in my happy place dropping loud f-bomb after loud f-bomb (I really try to keep this particular colorful metaphor dropping to books with twists & sports) so yeah, I'm ALL IN!
And I Love You the Most (Book 3) And I Love You the Most is the conclusion to Marcus, Cody, & Delilah's story, and as such, YOU HAVE TO READ This Love Hurts (Book 1), and But I Need You (Book 2) FIRST AND IN ORDER! If you decide against that fact, just know that you'll have missed so much because it's layers upon layers of chaos with a thousand questions that you'll end up quite lost. This conclusion is explosive as everything and I do mean EVERYTHING is bigger this round so buckle up buttercup for a wild ride. Crazy twists are coming in hot to get me to drop loud f-bomb after f-bomb because it seems like everything is one big twist with the most EPIC TWIST of all coming to light! We also get flashbacks of the past so all of us can see why Marcus is the way he is, answering a ton of questions, some of which I didn't know I even had. It's a race against time to save Delilah before it's too late so the story is moving at breakneck speed. Since it's a love triangle, we'll finally see who ends up with who, and who is left out in the cold until they get a story (I hope), but I'm not naming names so you know what to do to see how it's all going to play out, and trust me, you certainly do NOT want to miss out!
So buckle up y'all because this trilogy is one hell of a wild ride that you totally need in your lives! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
This trilogy is E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G! Fascinating … ✔️ Captivating and breathtaking … ✔️ ... To the point where you feel like you're drowning in the story and all its intense emotions. Contradictory ... ✔️ ... Because who wants to fall for the monster in the dark? I promise you will have no choice EXCEPT falling in love with this mysterious villain!
This is one of the best series I have ever read, maybe even the best ever!
THIS LOVE HURTS
OH MY GOD! This book reads like a thriller. From the first page it is fascinating, captivating and breathtaking. Another one of those books where you can't turn the pages fast enough to learn more ... only to end up even more confused ...
Marcus and his story become more mysterious with each chapter. And he becomes likeable and caring??? He seems to be a monster in the dark, but also a red-blooded man with a heart ... so effing contradictory! Reading this book and trying to understand the man hiding in the shadows is like trying to catch lightning in a bottle or trying to get hold of fog ... arghh!
BUT I NEED YOU
I always found Marcus a fascinating personality in the Merciless World, even though he was the absolute villain. If you know Willow Winters' books, you know that there is more to her protagonists than meets the eye. So when she announced Marcus' story, I was more than excited to get to know the person Marcus and to learn what made him the person who plays such a significant and mysterious role in the Cross Brothers' world. Two books in the series, and I am seriously questioning myself and my sanity as I am falling in love with Marcus ... Seriously, how can you fall in love with a serial killer? His story, which is far from revealing all the mysteries and connecting all the loose threads, paints a picture of him that I just can't resist, that awakens pity for him, makes you understand what he is doing and why... in short, it turns my picture of him completely upside down. Amazing! Once again, Willow Winters has done the seemingly impossible, in a book that captivates and fascinates from the first page to the last. Once again I take my hat off to her literary prowess!
AND I LOVE YOU THE MOST
Gahhh ... Deep breath ... I can't describe how deeply emotional this book is. I eagerly dove in ... and lost myself in the depths of this story. Surfacing after finishing it felt like gasping for air after nearly drowning ... It's the more than worthy conclusion to this series, that's for sure. Although I wish there was some way to learn more about how the protagonists' lives go on ... after the end ... It has never been easy to let go of Ms. Winter's characters ... and this time is no exception. This story is captivating from the first page to the last, and it's great to witness the change that the protagonists go through. Ms. Winters didn't promise too much when she told her readers that they were going to fall in love with this villain ...
What I Would Do For You is an epic collection of Willow Winters' This Love Hurts trilogy. This trilogy is set in the Merciless world. Willow Winters did it again! I don't want to sound like a broken record or anything, but please read her work! When I started to read the first couple of chapters, I thought that I knew where this plot was heading. But, oh boy, was I so wrong! The storyline, is **chef's kiss**. Especially Do You Love Me?'s prologue! It was so suspenseful, it had me asking so many questions e.g. what's going to happen? It was definitely a fantastic start. As I turned each page, I didn't know what to expect. Ever so slowly, the plot started to unravel; a mystery was being unfolded, in front of my very eyes. Unexpected plot twists shocked me; leaving me speechless. You can feel suspense and tension, throughout out this collection. It never stops. An excellent read, I highly recommend it!
When I made it to the second book, "But I Need You", an incident occured, due to this incident a secret was revealed. I was so into the plot that I was so surprised at how quickly it escalated. Of course, at this point I started to connect to dots. But still, it was definitely most unexpected, to say the least. And the love triangle!! Normally, I'm not a huge fan of them. But, as always Willow executed this troupe amazingly! The heroine, Delilah is such a strong character. She loves her job; she's a workaholic. There are problems in Delilah's family, she's aware of them but she doesn't want to acknowledge them. Her father, who was also a lawyer physically abuses her mother. Delilah has the feeling that she's been watched. She can't explain it, but it's just a sensation she feels running down her spine. Ever since they started working together on a case, Delilah developed feelings for Cody. However, when Marcus appears in the picture, everything that she thought she knew was about to change. She begins to question herself, how can she possibly have feelings for both men. Let alone a criminal. Unknowingly, Delilah gets pulled into a dangerous situation. Time is not on their side, Marcus and Cody need to save her before it's too late. And the ending was epic!!!
Delilah a lawyer, prosecutor; Cody a FBI agent and Marcus a criminal, AKA "The Angel of Death". Would could possibly these three people have in common? An unsolved case, from many years ago, where the evidence trail went cold. A tragedy and secret/truth intertwines them. And in the midst a love story. Delilah is caught between two men: a respectable agent and a criminal, a man who is impossible to catch; a ghost. Delilah just wants the truth; she has unanswered questions. Cody has secrets, he keeps them hidden. Cody has the answers to what Delilah is seeking. But, he denies the fact that he has any knowledge of what she's looking for. And Marcus, well he is a man of many secrets; an enigma. But he is the key to all of this.
**I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review
Willow knocked this story out of the park and made it a grand slam. She knows how to hook the reader, keep them hooked and always wanting more. I know we all want to know who Marcus is, but this story is more than finding out who the man in the shadows is. If you have read the other books in this world, you have all heard of the man in the shadows. However, you do not need to read them to understand this story. It can completely stand on its own. Willow has had me interested in Marcus’s story since the beginning, and I am so glad to have finally read it. She weaves a tale of two men and the one woman they want. The drama, secrets, quite a bit of suspense, some oh my moments and twists and turns will give you a different type of feels. Your heart will be pounding ,reading what unfolds on the pages. I was stuck on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. “I’m not the one who changed things. What happens next is his fault, his doing. Not mine.” “To love is never wrong.”
Marcus, Delilah and Cody’s continues to be heart pounding, mind blowing, suspenseful and heart wrenching. I was taken on such a twisty turn ride full of lies, secrets, truths, lust and love. The tension between all three characters is so taut. Neither man is willing to give up the woman they both crave, want and need. My heart and mind were completely blown, shocked and torn. “”I’m not mad. You don’t have to be afraid. But I deserve a chance. I don’t regret much in life, but I regret not taking you when I had the chance.”” “”Close your eyes,” he whispers and they’re the most seductive words I’ve ever heard. If only sinning with your eyes closed saved your soul from the devil.”
The final book for these three is utterly mind blowing. Cody and Marcus are hurrying to find Delilah. We get to find out more about Marcus. There is more suspense, questions answered, a love triangle and in true Willow fashion, there are the twists. These twists will shock you and leave you speechless. My heart ached for these three. What they dealt with and deal with. You might want to have the tissues nearby. #downtherabbitholeagain “Love and hate are both insane. If they were products of a sane mind, the two emotions would be logical and controllable. God knows they aren’t.” “It’s difficult to forgive an all-powerful god-or a devil, for that matter. It’s far easier to have compassion for a mere mortal. For a damaged f*** like me.”
-This Love Hurts (4 Stars) Marcus is still lurking in the shadows but soon we will know more. Delilah knows someone is following her. As a prosecutor she meets a lot of unsavory people. However, one case might just lead her in some trouble of her own. Someone is threatening her but who? Marcus is a powerful man, a murderer, a ghost, but no one truly knows the real man. When he sets his sights on Delilah there is no where she can turn. What does he really want from her? Is he a friend or foe? A great beginning to this dark suspense trilogy. I can’t wait to find out about Marcus as this is more from Deliah’s POV along with officer Cody’s POV. You will know of Cody and Marcus from prior books but this can be read as a new standalone series. We’re finally going to get to meet Marcus and I couldn’t be happier to see what happens.
-But I Need You (5 Stars) Holy This Is So Good!!! Marcus, Delilah Jones and Cody Walsh are back in book 2 of this trilogy. We get a little glimpse into who Marcus is and how he became the man...the mystery he is today. The maze weaved between these three characters is superb and I need more. What is Cody really hiding from Delilah. Can she uncover the truth of these two men or will she end up even more lost? A cold case from the past might have all the answers. This is a thrilling romantic suspense, love triangle that will keep you guessing. Of course this ends in yet another epic cliffhanger but fear not as there is only one book to go for all our answers. Be prepared to say “OMG, What?!?” Told in multiple POV
-And I Love You The Most (5 Stars) The Final Installment to the illusive Marcus’s story is here. With secrets and truths coming out around every turn what will happen to these three lives? This begins right where the cliffhanger in book two left us. Can they save Delilah before it’s too late? With the revelations made, what will happen to Cody Walsh, Delilah Jones & Marcus? Told with a few flashbacks, we finally see how Marcus became who he is. It’s a race against time for the truth. Buckle up...you’re in for a bumpy ride!! The thrilling conclusion to this romantic suspense trilogy is here and get ready for a big OMG moment. Told in multiple POV.
Oh WOW! This trilogy is phenomenal. It's a rollercoaster ride of every emotion possible. Willow Winters has blown me away with Delilah, Marcus and Cody's story!
𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙃𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙨 Oh my..... What a gripping read. A rollercoaster of emotions. I want more. No, I need more. I need all the answers to all the questions swirling inside my head.
This Love Hurts is a suspense filled tale, weaved with secrets, drama and two guys who both want the same girl. Who will she choose? Who is going to be her hero?
Cody, the guy who has been protecting her, the guy who she has grown to trust or Marcus, the mystery man who hides in the shadows, the one who wants to protect her. Delilah and Cody have a growing chemistry throughout but one interaction with Marcus and Delilah's head is spinning.
The last few chapters pulled me in even further than I thought could be possible. The ending left me hungry for more. I don't know how long I have to wait for the next part of this series, but I'll definitely be looking out for it.
𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙄 𝙉𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙔𝙤𝙪 WOW! Just WOW! Phenomenal writing AGAIN from Willow Winters! But I Need You is everything! Intense. Mind blowing. Jaw dropping. Heart pounding. I feel like I had thousands of "What?!" "Wow" and "OMG" moments.
We get more details about mystery man Marcus. We find out what Cody is hiding and we finally understand why Delilah is torn between two different men - I mean who wouldn't be! The twists and shocks that Willow adds are brilliantly woven into the storyline.
BUT I NEED YOU does end on a cliffhanger but its going to be so worth the wait for the epic conclusion of Marcus, Delilah and Cody's story. I thought BUT I NEED YOU was my most anticipated read, I now think AND I LOVE YOU MOST just topped it.
𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙩 Willow Winters knows how to deliver the angst and suspense! And I Love You The Most, the third and final book in this epic trilogy.
Marcus, Cody and Delilah - what can I say? Their story is phenomenally mind-blowing. It's intriguingly thrilling, the secrets that are revealed are unexpected. And that twist....OMG! You'll know what I mean when you get to it.
I was so excited to dive in but a little nervous for what was to come. Now I'm sad that it's the end but even more excited for what's to come next.
What I Would Do for You is a wonderful collection of the This Love Hurts series. The best part is you can just binge read this gripping story that will take you through some twist and turns that you will just love Delilah, Marcus and Cody's dynamic. The stories individually will leave you with a cliffhanger but now that they are all in one amazing book you do not have to worry anymore about waiting to download the next one. I loved this book so much and you just need to one click this one and hang onto the ride
This Love Hurts sucks you in from the very beginning. Such a fantastic read that will leave you wanting for more as you navigate Delilah and Cody and throw Marcus into the mix. There is such mystery surrounding who Marcus is and I for one cannot wait to find out more. I need more Delilah, Cody and Marcus. You are just left with so many questions that I know will get answered as this series goes on. Yes there is a cliffhanger but it is so worth it. Take this suspense filled ride today and find out who Delilah, Cody and Marcus are because they will suck you in and will not let you go.
But I Need You is a fantastic second book in the This Love Hurts series. I love the little glimpses of the relationship between Marcus, Delilah and Cody. We got more of Marcus in this one. He is still the man of mystery but we do get to know him more. I really can't wait for it to all come together and see what happens with Delilah, Cody and Marcus. I'm loving this series so far and can not wait for the final book.
And I love You the Most will blow you away. I loved this one so much. We finally get some must needed answers to the whole Cody, Delilah and Marcus triangle. We get to see a different side of each as they search for Delilah and how Delilah handles her kidnapping. This is so good. I love the reasons why Delilah choose who she did. It will all make sense the more you read. The truth behind Marcus comes out in more and more detail then ever before. I could not put this down at all. This was everything I wanted and more when it came to the story of Delilah, Cody and Marcus. You need to read this in order and find out who Delilah ends up with.
This Love Hurts: After reading the books in the Merciless world you already know some thing about the mystery that is Marcus. He‘s a shadow in a world full of darkness. He somehow manages to peek your interest especially after the Seth and Laura‘s books where we also meet Delilah and Officer Cody Walsh.
Naturally my interest was high after that. This love hurts takes us back a few years to the beginning of this gripping mystery that is Marcus, Delilah and Cody. We get to see all those characters in their element. Halfway through the book we also get to see the chemistry between Marchs and Delilah which is sizzling!
I can‘t wait to read more of those three and find out who Marcus really is.
4⭐️
But I need you: Holy Moly, what a book! This story was sooo much more than I expected when I started to read it.
This is the second book in this trilogy about Marcus, Delilah and Cody. But I need you shows us more of Marcus' past and present and tells us who he really is. Which honestly was a little shocking to me! His past is a really dark one and those flashbacks really got me breathing heavily. I needed to take a break after one particular flashback.
After the events in book one, Delilah is still trying to figure out what is going on. Her growing attraction for Marcus and love for Cody confuses her alot. Cody hides alot of secrets from Delilah which are starting to come to light throughout the book.
This story ends with a big cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the epic finale and to see how it plays out!
5⭐️
And I love you most: The finale of the famous Marcus mystery is here and you‘re not ready for it!
This story which is a love triangle of epic porportions is coming to an end. I don‘t even know where to start my review!
Marcus, Cody and Delilah brought me so much joy and tears. They all are somewhat haunted by the past and are just trying to navigate through life. It is action packed and just amazing! You really don‘t know what you are in for and that ending! Omg I somehow saw it coming but I was not prepared!
I picked this book up because of the promise in the blurb, and while I enjoyed the book itself, the original promise did not deliver--in fact, it fell so short that I felt baited and cheated. When the "I changed my mind" bit rolled around, I was excited to see how everything would fall apart--because that's the promise of a dark romance right?
Wrong. The moment turned out to be so inconsequential that I felt gullible for believing the author 600 pages ago. I felt like I'd fallen for clickbait, and in a real way, I had. So imagine my feelings, coming to the goodreads page and seeing how many reviews were the same five-star review copy-pasted. Even more sus.
I'll try not to let the tackiness of the whole affair taint this review too much. Maybe I'm too naive to know how the Goodreads world works, and this is normal behavior.
The good: It was a quick read--definitely didn't feel like 3 separate books. There were a couple grammatical errors and typos that a beta reader or line editor ought to have spotted (and how many times did we read about Delilah's "caramel skin"?), but until tonight I was willing to look past those. I thought Delilah was remarkably likeable--she was smart and driven, and I really liked that she was legitimately afraid of Marcus. I thought Marcus's back story was a good one, too. And I was impressed that the author was very final in the decisions she made with her characters--so the cheap hook was doubly a disappointment. I liked that the crimes committed were, in fact, regarded as crimes and not blown over by, "Oh he's just misunderstood." It made the characters a little more believable and the stakes a little higher, which I thought was well-done. I also thought that the characters were all competent in their careers, which was nice to see.
It was a fun between-reads read, and maybe I'll pick up another one of Willow's works sometime. I'll see if I can find one that has legitimate reviews.

What I Would Do For You by Willow Winters is the This Love Hurts collection, books 1-3!
Willow Winters delivers a suspenseful read that will give you chills as you read on the edge of your seat! I could not stop reading, and had to read through in one setting, dying with the need for more words!
This Love Hurts gives the back story of the man we're all dying to know! Marcus! Who is this mysterious man in the shadows that pulls all the strings?!
Some many answers but also new questions! Cannot wait for more from this series!!!
... Wow, what a ride!!! But I need you from W. Winters is an absolutely thrilling romantic suspense with a love triangle element, and twists sure to keep you guessing!
The more Marcus we get, the more I want to know! Halfway through this book I felt like I was starving for every little breadcrumb Willow gave! Marcus' backstory, his mind, it's all so intriguing! I loved the multiple POV, and cannot get enough of this world and series!!!
If you enjoy romantic suspense, an intricate plot, and intense chemistry, start this mindblowing series today! (book 1 must be read first)
... WHOA! The third piece of the puzzle is in place! I feel like I'm still processing these complicated characters, but I DID really enjoy their story. It was messy and complicated, but felt true to the dynamic between Delilah, Walsh, & the enigmatic Marcus.
Author Willow Winters delivered a trilogy that was angsty, suspenseful, and packs a major punch. In book three, I felt like we had less of a connection with Delilah, BUT I felt like that really represented the way she withdrew from who she was in the beginning, to the person she became. That's all I'll say to keep it spoiler free!
I can't wait to see where Willow takes this Merciless World next!
I am there waiting, watching, keeping to the shadows....
This story demands your attention and once you have started it, it will rivet and enthrall you. Marcus is an enigma with many moveable parts. Once he gets under your skin, he permanently stays there. A trio of characters are showcased in this tale and they are forever bound to each other. Willow Winters cleverly dangles suspense like a carrot, drawing you in and never letting you go.
I was captivated from the very beginning to the dramatic last chapter. You don't want to miss reading this, I strongly urge you to immediately add this to our TBR.
But I Need You
The best way to keep a secret is to pretend there isn't one...
There is no rhyme or reason why I am drawn to Marcus. He is a bad man, but one with a tortured soul. Delilah, Marcus and Cody are all entangled in a web of secrets that I'm not sure will ever unravel. Delilah seems to trust Marcus over Cody. Cody has held back answers that Delilah craves to know.
This second story in the series arouses all your senses and stimulates your mind with wanting all the information that Marcus and Cody are holding back. Willow Winters once again leaves us dangling and I cannot wait for the next book.
And I Love You The Most
Don't let the past steal your present...
The Trinity of Delilah, Cody and Marcus comes full circle. The dark becomes lighter as skeletons in the closet emerge and Marcus finally unveils his past. Delilah struggles with the realization that she loves both Marcus and Cody, but knows who she will stay with. Both men would go to the ends of the earth to guard and protect her from harm's way. She is aware that she will hurt the man left behind. She will carry that heartbreak for the rest of her life.
As always Willow Winters gives us another stunning epic series that left me astounded and speechless.
Delilah Jones has found herself trapped between two men, one the devil and the other a sweet and genuine man who wants to save her. They are like night and day, Markus brings darkness, intensity and unbridled passion to her life. Cody brings safety, strength, and makes her feel loved and cared for... all things she isn't so sure she can live without? But how do you choose between two men who mean so much to you, for so many different reasons?
What I Would Do For You is a steamy and exhilarating literary ride that will have you white-knuckling your tablet the whole way through. Every perfectly penned page will have you diving deeper into the dangerous life of it's heroine, and completely wrapped up in every little dramatic detail. Delilah is a wanted woman in more ways than one, she has found herself in the hands of a dangerous man, and it's up to her suitors to rescue her. Both want her whole heart, but only one can be the keeper of it. The path they take to save her isn't an easy one, it causes them to work together despite their feelings of distaste for one another, and it pushes them to lengths they never thought they would go. But when you love someone as deeply as they do, it's the only way.
This was truly a phenomenal story, it's perfectly weaved words will take you on a journey filled with many twists and turns, moments that will steal the breath from your lungs, and an ending that will leave your heart forever moved! It's definitely my favorite from Ms. Winters to date! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
4.5 Stars for What I Would Do For You a collection of This Love Hurts Series. Can you believe this is the first book I have read by Ms Winters, well it certainly won’t be the last. This is the ideal opportunity to binge read the This Love Hurts Series and very any new readers like me to really get to know this very talented author’s work. Each story does end with a cliffhanger but that shouldn’t be a problem because you are getting books 1-3 together. This Love Hurts captivated me and I fell hook, line and sinker for Delilah, Cody and Marcus, this is the perfect romance mixed with mystery surrounding Marcus and it will appeal to all romance suspense lovers. But I Need You picks up right where book one finished but in this book we get to really know the man surrounded in mystery because this is Marcus’s tale mixed with Delilah and Cody’s relationship this one will certainly leave you wanting more. But this story is not without some more twists and turns as we see Delilah coming to terms with her kidnapping. This Love Hurts Trilogy consists of all three books: This Love Hurts, But I Need You, and And I Love You the Most. The trilogy tells the tale Marcus, an anti villain, Cody, an FBI Agent, and Delilah, a lawyer. This trilogy had everything you could want in a romantic suspense novel. I loved every twist and turn of this epic ride. I was constantly on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who was on whose side. Not to mention there were some super steamy scenes.
It was hard not to fall in love with dark and disturbing Marcus. The way his character evolves throughout each book was epic! Delilah was such a strong female lead, and I love that she embraced all that was thrown her way. Her bravery and courage was endearing. I also loved how Cody was super heroic, but at the same time had a tough time coping with his overall feelings. Each character was very well written, each with their own twisted past.
Overall, I really enjoyed this gripping, suspenseful trilogy! I loved that I had all three books in one complete collection. If I would have read separately I would be left hanging, as each book ended in a cliffhanger! I look forward to reading more from Willow Winters!
