The time for a zealous reckoning has come. The western lands tremble. The city of Eh-Rin is under siege and with the nearing eclipse of the moon, the powerful spells protecting the ancient city will fail. The legions of the Grand Protectorate ready their forces to smite the very place that stands as the last beacon of hope in a darkening world.
In a desperate assault to save Eh-Rin, Kealin and his companions draw upon the power of death magic and unleash a horde of their own in a final attempt to defeat the enemy that has already claimed two elven kingdoms, the last rebelling kingdom of men, and will soon reveal a true terror against all peoples of magic.
But this is all a distraction. A power worse than all the armies of the land draws near... something that has been among them the entire time...
There are maybe 10 authors that I have found that can write books that shake me to my core. This entire series has just gotten better and better as I go deeper into Kealins journey.
No one is safe, not even the dead. No one is always as they seem. There is so much deep seeded meaning in every character. ugh. It's so good! For the last few chapters of this book I was literally on the edge of my office chair wishing I could read faster to discover the fates of everyone. I urge you to read these books! Get sucked into darkness, and find yourself yelling "no!!" in a room full of unsuspecting people.
I feel like I need a long walk and a hot shower to wash away the intensity of this book. I'm not ready for book 6. I can't even fathom what death soaked fate Kealin will experience next.
So to keep believing the sister or not is my thought through out then you get to a point or at least I did that I was screaming WHY ARE YOU STILL BELIEVING! Think about it when you love someone you don’t want to think bad things about them especially if there is a somewhat plausible reason if you close one eye cover one ear and squint well so many avenues to go down I now want a book about where do all the un dead go to live so that would be a great side story as well as the Gods what’s up with that there’s just to much to address so I’ll just say read this you won’t be the least bit sorry except that you have to get the next book
The story of a Kealin, the half-elf, who lost all his family and keeps loosing them. This is such a double edged sword of a book. The story line is captivating enough that I will finish the series. That said, the constant loss is depressing. The other negative is the shear number of editing mishaps! Need a better proofreader. The battles are amazingly written and the friends are very likable.
Each book in this set "Half-Blood Chronicles" gets better and better. Just about the time you think you have figured it out BOOM it all gets turned sideways . Great story development unusual twists and turns and a promise from the Author that there are more and larger surprises coming in the final book. These have been some of the best reading! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Average plot. Takes shortcuts and character development is stunted. I am completing the series just to get to the end. The story is enjoyable but I won’t lose sleep over it. These books or not those that would keep you up for hours and hours into the night because you can’t put them down. Easy to pick up Reed for a few minutes and come back hours or days later.
Great, kept me reading. I am not sure I followed all the author is hoping I got. I sad and out loud oh no when Veonra revealed her secret. It felt like a cheap shock. But all in all I look forward to finishing the series. I hope Kaelen can find some small majorcofcresolution.
Magic. Can one imagine just how magic came into their world. Long day dormant but easily found. I have enjoyed the feelings this book generated. When one reads a book and immediately upon completion, goes searching for the next book, one knows it was a good story a d one well worth reading. Now on to book 6!
This has to be one of JT's best books in the series! I can begin to see how things are going to be brought full circle in the next book! I loved it and would highly recommend it! Kealin kicks ass as always!!!
There are so many plot twists, you may get a bit lost. I enjoyed the overall story, and all teh character twists, although I missed some of the fullness of previous books. I am looking forward to the next in hopes of clearing up a few missing links.
I absolutely adore Kealin and his tortured soul. I picked up Rouges of Magic for 99cent and have been hooked on this world since. I just can't get enough!!!!
Mr. Williams keeps the action flowing smoothly and fast paced. There are times when you can see where the action is headed and yet he finds a different way to bring it about. Hope and despair hang in the balance as we move forward from here.
Kealin has found his sister, but things don't go too well. His sister has changed and not sure why. He is trying to get to his baby brother but when he finds out what has happened it breaks him. He is realizing the powers that he has and is not too sure about it. Very intense and will keep you reading till the end.
This is the fifth book in this series and all 5 have been great. If you like stories on elves, magic and wizards and of course demons then you should give this a go!!!!
