Rugged and Royal #1

The Playboy Prince

Rate this book
As a rule, I stay away from good girls. To be fair, the nice ones usually steer clear of me, too.

But that's exactly the type of woman my grandfather picks as my future wife. Sweet. Polished. Distractingly cute.

No clue why I'm so intrigued by her.

Yes, her intelligence is a turn-on. And sure, her secret feisty side is fun to rile up. But it's more than that.

If I didn't know better, I'd say I'm falling for the one woman everyone thinks I'm all wrong for.

As it turns out, there's a freaking hilarious twist even I didn't see coming. And when I figure out what my bride-to-be has been hiding, hell, I know I've finally met my match.

I know the world thinks I'll never be more than the playboy prince--I don't give a damn. There's only one person I have anything to prove to now.

Her.

Previously titled Royal Package. Same fun story, just with a fresh title and cover makeover.

Honestly I don't know how I've ended up reading this, reading stories about fictional royalty is not something I'd ever say I'd do, but here I am. Prince and princess, arranged marriage, switched identities between twins...
I grit my teeth and pray it looks like a grin as I give him two thumbs-up. Yay. Super exciting. So glad to see you, Douche-noggin. What a delightful surprise.

She’s a fucking imposter, and it seems I’m not the only one running a con game. [...] Playing chess with a worthy opponent is so much preferable to torturing an innocent woman with my bad behavior. In fact, this might end up being fun.

...and fun it was, indeed. And I have no regrets😄

A match made in heaven:)
Lili Valente is the queen of the romantic comedy (in my opinion) and this latest royal matchup takes the cake. When Prince Andrew and Princess Elizabeth were promised to each other they both thought they’d have more time to get out of the arrangement. But when Prince Andrew’s grandfather passes away their timetable gets moved up.
So what other option does Andrew have than to turn off the charm and hope that his betrothed calls off the wedding. Only the woman who shows up isn’t Elizabeth, it’s her twin sister Sabrina...let the royal games begin!

I don’t know

I normally like Lili Valente, but I don’t know which character I liked less. The twin who lied to her sister to get her to take her place, the Prince who wanted to catch the lying sister so much he was willing to feed her food she was allergic to, or the lying twin who magically fell in love with the guy she couldn’t stand.

It was a short read to me but I loved the story and the characters. I wanted more drama but I’m happy how the story ended.

This relatively short story is the first book in Valente’s Royal Package series. The series revolves around the three Rochat triplets, Elizabeth, Sabrina and Alexandria princesses all of the royal family of the tiny mountain kingdom of Rindersland and the three brothers Andrew, Jeffery and Nicholas of the Von Berg family princes of the neighboring kingdom of Gallantia. The Rochat family having been reduced to just ceremonial duties after centuries of ruling Rindersland with less than spectacular results has fallen into difficult financial times. Stripped of all of their assets except for their primary residence on which sits an ancient castle in disrepair, the family home, and headed by two parents the king and queen who are clueless of as to how to support themselves after years of being the entitled heads of the monarchy and have their heads stuck in the sand ignoring the economic realities of their situation. They do have one idea. They make an arranged marriage between the eldest triplet Elizabeth and the eldest Von Berg Andrew who will become king of Gallanatia, when the two are just small children. Gallantia’s royal family still rules and rules wisely. Both the country and the family prosper. By marrying Elizabeth off to Andrew the Rochat parents will have a steady stream of money to sustain them in the affluent lifestyle they’ve always taken for granted. In the interim the three now adult daughters have worked to support their parents as best they can. Elizabeth with a degree in fashion design is a lingerie designer and Sabrina with a degree in botany leads nature tours on the family estate. It’s not really clear what the secretive Alexandria or Zan who rarely returns home does for a living. Now twenty years after Elizabeth and Andrew’s arranged betrothal the time is drawing near for their marriage. The problem is it would be hard to imagine anyone less suited to fulfill the role of queen or wife for Andrew than the painfully shy, introverted Elizabeth who stutters whenever she is around strangers. Although they’ve had only minimal contact since their engagement as children both Elizabeth and Andrew realize the truth in that and have no interest in marrying one another. But neither wants to be the one to break the engagement and both have different plans as to how to end it.
Elizabeth convinces her identical twin Sabrina to go to Gallantia in her place for the month leading up to the wedding promising she will come and take her rightful place and marry Andrew as soon as she is done working on her latest line of lingerie she convinces Sabrina will go a long way to helping the family out of its latest financial bind. The problem is while Elizabeth and Sabrina look so much alike only those who know them really well can tell them apart, their personalities are completely different. While Elizabeth is an introvert who prefers her own company and being indoors, abhorring physical activity, Sabrina is an extrovert who enjoys being around people and spending time outdoors hiking and jogging. Elizabeth knows her younger sister is far more suited for Andrew than she is and suspects if she can get them to spend time together they will see that too.
Andrew does not want to break the promise he made to his grandfather on his deathbed to go through with the arranged marriage. So he comes up with a scheme to convince Elizabeth to call off the engagement by behaving in ways that will make her want to run as far away from him as possible. Shortly after Sabrina’s arrival pretending to be Elizabeth Andrew begins to suspect something is wrong and his plan won’t work. Sabrina just rolls with all the antics Andrew had devised he was certain would scare Elizabeth off. More surprising he feels a powerful physical attraction to Sabrina and finds Sabrina charming and perfect to fill the role as his future queen and wife. What he is unsure of is if this is the woman he has been long engaged to or her sister?
As Elizabeth suspected these two have a powerful chemistry. Andrew constantly fights his attraction to Elizabeth whom he suspects is really Sabrina. Sabrina likewise fights her attraction to the man her sister is supposed to marry. Much of the story is a cat and mouse game as Andrew attempts to discover if the woman he’s falling in love with is the woman he’s been engaged to for most of his life but barely knows or her twin sister Sabrina. The more Sabrina feels for Andrew the more pressure she feels to reveal her true identity to him. The suspense continues to mount as the day of the formal engagement celebration grows closer. Will Andrew discover Sabrina’s true identity before she reveals it to him herself? What will happen when the truth is discovered? Will Andrew’s love for Sabrina allow him to forgive her for the ruse and take her as wife or will he send her packing back to Rindersland?

The Playboy Prince is Lili Valente’s newest novel. I have read all of Lili’s books and this is the first with a royal and I loved it. As usual, I didn’t read the synopsis so all I knew was that it was about a hot prince. I don’t want to spoil anything so...

One arranged marriage. Two royals. Two complete opposites. One month until the big day. Thirty days to get to know the one they are to marry to bring two families together. A promise was made twenty years ago and it was time to fulfill that vow. Only neither of them want to.

She didn’t want to marry a man who traveled the world to party then post his ass on his PicWithFriends page. He didn’t want to marry a woman who never leaves her tower. He was an adventurer while she stayed in her room sewing lingerie. The next thirty days was going to be torture. He has a plan and what he doesn’t know is that she does too. And that might just be the only thing Elizabeth and Andrew have in common.

Yeah. Like I said, I can’t really say much. I can say that it was a very royal treat! It felt like a hallmark movie with a twist and with more sex appeal. I also enjoyed the crazy families. I can not wait for the next book!! Lili, you are a little tease and I love it.

Overall...it was a fun ride full of laughter, angst, sweetness, twists, and sexiness.

Quotes:

He looks expensive. Beautiful. And royal as hell.

“Seriously. Not another word,” I say, shooting daggers at him with my eyes.
He rolls his. “Yes, my liege and future king, your wish is my command, yadda yadda.”

“You just need to start thinking of yourself as the kingdom’s daddy instead of its boyfriend.”
My lips quirk, and I can’t help but ask, “Does this mean you secretly want to call me daddy?”

This was the first romance I picked up in 2022. I'm so glad I did. It's funny and sweet and complicated. Both of the main characters as well as all the side characters were all fleshed out so well. Even though the story takes place in completely fictional European countries, it felt very real to me. I've already read the next book in the series, and I'm looking forward to finishing off the trilogy very soon.

So I'm going to get this out of the way now. This book starts off with a lie. Basically Elizabeth, one of the princesses in this series, has been betrothed to the prince of a neighboring country for most of her life. The day they formalize their engagement and then get married is almost here. However, Elizabeth has work to do. She needs some help from her identical sister, Sabrina. So when Andrew comes to pick up Elizabeth it's actually Sabrina. Andrew doesn't know this but he's dedicated himself to getting "Elizabeth" to call off their wedding. So basically both the main characters start this story off lying/trying to manipulate the other person. I completely recognize that this might not work for some people. But I really liked the way this worked out. I think it was a lot of fun to see them both figure out what the other person was doing.

Andrew and Sabrina are both terrible liars. Like Sabrina is trying to be Elizabeth and for so many reasons that was a terrible idea. The two of them may look nearly identical, but their personalities are complete opposites. Sabrina is very outdoorsy, very active etc. She was absolutely love to see the world. Coincidentally that describes Andrew too. Andrew is trying to be obnoxious and disgusting. However even then he's still such a kind thoughtful person that it sort of doesn't work the way he wants it to.

I loved the glimpses into future books in this series with the other princes/princesses too. I've already read Elizabeth and Jeffrey's book. I've still got Alexandra/Nick's book to read, but I think this entire series is a new favorite.

I really love Lili Valente's hockey series but Royal Package missed the mark for me (by miles).

I'll continue to read this author! But the character in this book seem like nice people who needed to grow TF up.

Lili Valente writes the best rom-coms, and add in a royal story line and I ate this up. Listening to the audiobook narrated by Lili and Shane East was the best. Their voices complimented each other perfectly and together they were both sexy and sweet. This is an arranged marriage story with a twist. There is some scheming going on between Prince Andrew and his bethroled Lizzy. As she sends her twin sister, Sabrina in her place. There were moments of angst that kept me guessing as I wondered how it would all unfold knowing both were hiding secrets. There was also a ton of laughs and sizzling heat between Sabrina and Andrew and I loved it all.

Ummmm, okay?

I cannot figure out how to write this review. I guess I’ll start with the basics and see where it goes from there.

Written in dual first person POV (which I enjoy). There are sexy times and the amount makes sense in the context of the plot but I think more could have been added in “fantasy” scenes. The plot is a simple “twin switch” with an added royal element - Prince Andrew and Princess Elizabeth are betrothed from childhood and while neither wants to marry the other they can’t just say so due to, let’s just say “familial obligations”. Elizabeth convinces her twin Sabrina to attend engagement events for a month with Andrew while she finishes a project, fully intending to switch back and marry the prince. Andrew is determined to get Elizabeth to call off the engagement by pretending to be “charmless”. Hijinks ensue.

The first half of the book is pretty decent, with the exception that the European princes speak, both inner monologues and dialogue, like Americans. The European princesses also speak like Americans but at least they had an American nanny at some point to explain this. I suspended disbelief and kept going.

The twin switch seems relatively harmless and the only reason that it would work is because Andrew and Elizabeth have been speaking monthly on the phone for years but have only interacted in person a couple of times, when they were both children. The month of engagement events should give the couple a better chance to get to know each other and confirm that the match makes sense. In reality, Andrew will get to know a slightly different version of Sabrina before marrying Elizabeth. That’s not cool. I suspended disbelief and kept going.

Andrew’s “charmless” routine is geared to Elizabeth who is more “fragile” than Sabrina in almost all respects - Elizabeth is socially awkward, has a stutter, reclusive, etc. Basically, Andrew is going to make Elizabeth so uncomfortable and miserable that she runs screaming for the hills and calls off the engagement. This could be seen as bullying. I suspended disbelief and kept going.

There is a turning point in the book where both Sabrina and Andrew become more likable but I won’t spoil the reasoning. And yet again, I suspended disbelief and kept going.

Again, I don’t want to spoil anything, but once you get halfway you have to suspend a lot of disbelief in order to keep going. Things started to get repetitive and boring, and then crazy comes out to play. Still, I suspended disbelief and kept going.

Yes, I finished the book. It was not the best nor the worst book I’ve ever read. The epilogue does more to set up the next book than to provide a conclusion for the MCs. You get a HFN with the possibility of an HEA in future books. I was left feeling like there were too many loose ends to believe that I read the complete story.

Hope this was helpful!

It probably ended with a hea

But when we get right down to planning to potentially murder your fiancé, or whoever she may be, because, well, she MAY have lied - for my part, we’ve left the ‘romance’ in the mud.
I stuck with it right up to the flask incident, and even slightly beyond.
But then I realized, at this point, I wouldn’t WANT him to have a hea.
For me, this is likely the worst mistaken identity romance I’ve ever read.
And for the record, it’s Once IN a while’, not ‘Once AND a while’. And it’s ‘You’ve got another THINK coming’, not ‘Another THING coming.’
You’re welcome.

Once upon a time, two kings from neighboring countries decreed a union between their first-born granddaughter and grandson. The young prince teased and tormented the little princess while they were young, then he grew to be a carefree, jet-setting womanizer with a wildly popular IG account featuring hot, royal high-nies (clothed, of course) The meek, innocent princess also grew up, keeping to herself, and working hard to overcome her stutter, and she was finally on the cusp of fulfilling her dream to create a runway-worthy lingerie line.

Now the time has come for Prince Andrew to prepare to take the throne, and the month of wedding festivities is about to begin. While Prince Andrew likes Princess Elizabeth well enough, having gotten to know her through their monthly telephone conversations, their personalities are diametrically opposed and they have zero spark. The prince's honor precludes him from backing out, but maybe Andrew can make the next month so awful that he can get Elizabeth to call things off. Let Operation Prince Charmless commence!

But the prince is in for a surprise. His princess is engaging, funny and feisty, and they seem to have a lot more in common than he first believed. The princess meets all of his daredevil, crass attempts to run her off, somehow managing to face each antic and turn it around, giving as good as she gets. With no effort at all, the princess woos the prince's family, including his most jaded brother, and the ingenious Operation PC is doomed. There is trouble in the kingdom, and the prince is beginning to suspect that all is definitely not well. Something is very, very wrong, and the prince will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of things.

The royal scribe who penned this captivating tale never fails to exhaust my abs better than any Cross Fit drill sergeant and manipulate my heart like the maestro of a string orchestra. But this book? This big, hot, hilarious, royal mess is her best yet and has made a prime spot for itself on my list of top romcoms for the year. In the blink of an eye, I fell crown over court shoes for these lively, loveable, quirky characters and couldn’t get enough of them! Add in the wild, crazy, twisty, surprising storyline, and this book owned me, heart cockles, funny bone and all.

There are so many details of the story this common reader would love to share, but this tale is enjoyed best without even the smallest of spoilers. It will take you away from the circumstances surrounding you and spirit you off to an enchanting, delightful world you'll want to stay in forever. Make haste to the 1-Click and be sure you don’t miss out on this fantastic, outrageously funny, heartfelt, royal read. Especially because, as we all love to see, . . .

They all live happily, hilariously ever after.

The End.
~ But not quite; there are more royals to come. ;) ~

Ever since I read a book earlier this month with a setting for royals, I’ve been looking for another one, that and supernatural themes. I came across this one after reading a few of Lili’s books and was delighted to start this series. I was expecting something like “Royally Complicated” but this one didn’t blow me away as much as that one did. While I enjoyed “Playboy Prince” it was frustrating reading how Andrew and Sabrina found out about each other’s motive. They were talking it out with others except each other and plotting for their own agenda and I was over here rolling my eyes at the absurdity of it all. Had they just been up front with each other, the whole charade could have been avoided and feelings wouldn’t have gotten hurt. Honestly, their head games with each other should have been enough to gain a lower rating but I found myself wanting to read when they would admit everything and see who would break first. It was more like a slow burn but without accepting feelings and not going through with it until they really knew who the other person was and the trust happening. To me, this is just as annoying as the burn that pulls you and stringing us as readers along when you know the hero and heroine both have feelings but want to still hold off. This book you can’t tell if they really like each other or not, Andrew because he didn’t trust who was sitting in front of him and Sabrina because she was pretending to be someone else. She couldn’t be herself and had to calculate everything her sister Lizzy would do. This held her off with expressing how she really felt and Sabrina is actually the first one who admits to the reader that she likes Andrew romantically. It was all a bunch of games, and part of me wants to give it a lower rating but the other part wants to leave this as a 4. I think the issue is because this book was good, but not amazing like the last royal book I read. I think I wanted more escapades and romance with this one because it didn’t seem to have a lot of it, being that most of the book was Sabrina and Andrew playing with each other and protesting the idea of an arranged marriage. I wanted more heat, emotion and that feeling like you cannot function without getting a taste or feel of the other person if you don’t do this right now, in this moment. The book fell short on these kind of moments and I love this about romance, so the fact that this book didn’t have it, was enough to give this a 4. I’m hoping the next book makes up for that.

Royal Package by Lili Valente stars Prince Andrew and Princess Sabrina. Sabrina has taken the place of her twin sister Elizabeth who has been bestowed to marry Prince Andrew in an arranged marriage. Elizabeth sent Sabrina in her place to help buy her some time to complete her lingerie line. Sabrina has no intent in making Prince Andrew's life easy, remembering how he tortured her poor sister when they were young; but she also had to play the part of the quiet, shy twin with a stutter. How hard can that be? Prince Andrew has no intent on marrying a woman he barely knows; who he has spoken to once a month on the phone and especially a woman he doesn't love. Operation Prince Charmless is in effect with no intent for any prisoners.
From the moment Andrew saw Elizabeth (aka: Sabrina) he noticed something was different about her. She spoke, acted and even stuttered like the Elizabeth he knew BUT the way she held her head high with this air of confidence was different. He knew little details about Elizabeth from speaking to her over the phone for years and what his spy told him. He had no intention of building a relationship with her, his mind set in making her back out of the arrangement. Sabrina knew that she had a job to do. Last for a month until the engagement party, buying time for Elizabeth to finish her line and the they could switch places for the wedding. What Sabrina didn't plan for was liking Andrew. The more time they spend together, the more each one found they enjoyed the others company. Andrew and Sabrina had a lot more in common than Andrew and Elizabeth. Soon they both found themselves falling for the other and thinking maybe this could work. BUT could it when Prince Andrew is falling for the wrong twin? Will Operation Prince Charmless back fire and become Operation Prince Charming?
Sabrina and Andrew challenged each other and their relationship was sweet, adorable, sexy and real. Once again Lili Valente didn't disappoint with her spectacular writing which uses wittiness and charm to win over her readers.

What????
Okay the blurb is misleading and maybe if you read by the name Royal Package you would have a different experience, the thing is the plot makes you think that this is an arranged marriage where one of the two parties doesn't want to marry the other but when they start to know each other that changes, typical trope of arranged marriages, right?
WRONG
First of all neither of them want to be trap in a loveless marriage but the other doesn't know that, then we have this triplets where one is out in the world and the other two are trying to maintain the old family castle, sister 1 is the one marrying this prince but in her place goes sister 2 pretending to be the opposite of her because that how her sister acts, mind you this supposed change is only for the preparations for the wedding after that they exchange places again, kind of weird parent trap.

At the beginning i was invest in the story reading about what sister 2 (the main character) wants to do vs what she need to do and so on, then the exchange happens and after her first encounter she is like omg what if he is the one for me but also she is like he is the fiancee of my sis. Then we have his POV wanting to do the worst things to scare her away and give her money to cancel the wedding but SHE DOESNT FUCKING TAKE IT, of course if she accepted there wont be any book but its so irracional because through the whole book (at least what i read) her sister is marrying this dude because they need money and she is clearly unhappy and unfit for the marriage so why?! Why doesn't she take it? Why did the author make him do that? Why not invent another interesting plot point?

In my opinion it was a dumb dumb decision from the main character and from the author, between that and the whole insta-love-lusting but i cant have these feeling because he is my sister fiancee was too much for me to read, it took me out of the reading and make me mad so, noup.

So far I like the author writing right along with Pippa grant, alone? I don't think so, sadly :(

The Playboy Prince is the first book in the Rugged and Royal series. It can be read as a standalone book but the series covers all three Princes in the Von Bergen family of Gallantia.

Andrew is the oldest brother and will be king within months of the opening of this book. He is engaged to the oldest of three triplets and has been since they were young children. Elizabeth and Andrew are about to start a month-long engagement series of events leading to their wedding and then the coronation. Neither of them is happy about it. The Rinderland royalty have moved from official to ceremonial. That is to say, no longer supported by the taxpayers. As a result, bills are defaulting, the castle is deteriorating and likely all could be lost at any moment. Elizabeth has a plan. She will stay home during the engagement celebrations and work on her lingerie collection to get a collection contract. Her identical twin, Sabrina, who is only 4 minutes younger and much better in social settings than shy Elizabeth with a mild stutter, will step in and pretend to be Elizabeth leading up to the actual wedding. Then they will switch and the collection contract will pay a lot of the overdue expenses for the Rochat family of Rinderland. The youngest of their sisters, Alexandra, thinks the whole idea is crazy.

The plan goes into action with Andrew trying to be gross and irritating to convince "Elizabeth" to leave their engagement. Sabrina is just trying to fake being her sister without anyone figuring it out. The truth is that they are strongly attracted, which is upsetting to Sabrina who doesn't want to be attracted to her future brother-in-law, and Andrew has been talking to Lizzy for years with no attraction, so why suddenly now? How will all these complications work out and can they find peace and forgiveness with each other and their respective kingdoms?

Royal Package by Lili Valente is a brand new story with a royal them (I LOVE THESE!!!). Welcome to the fictional royal world of Baden Bergen & Gallantia! Prince Andrew is on a mission to effectively "dissuade" his betrothed from wanting to marry him. They have nothing in common after all and an arranged marriage is NOT how he wants to spend his future life. He loves the outdoors, she is asthmatic, he will be King and be around many people, speaking publicly as will his wife, the future queen, and she has a stutter made worse the larger the crowd. Do you see his point here? Meanwhile, back in Gallantia, Princess Elizabeth (the betrothed) is convincing her identical twin sister to take her place for the good of their kingdom. Just temporarily, until before the wedding, so she can work on her project and bail the family out of debt. Feeling like her hand has been forced, Princess Sabrina agrees. She isn't dissuaded by Andrew's terrible table manners and is enjoying her time outdoors with him, even while trying to pretend to be Lizzy. But, alas, secrets this big can't stay secret for long and between Lizzy, Jeff, Sabrina, Zan and Andrew - there are a horde of secrets. Sweet, funny, romantic with a slow build to the sexy stuff. I LOVED this book and want, desperately, MORE ROYALS from the wonderful Ms. Lili!!! Enjoy

The audio version was spectacularly narrated by Lili Valente and Shane East. I mean - Swoon! Their voices embody the comedy of some of the situations they find themselves in as well as they do the more serious parts of the story. Loved the Audio!

I’m so in love with this story!

I never really had a thing for Royal romances, but I’ve fallen in love with a few over the last couple of years, and this is definitely a new one to add to my favorites collection!

I loved the roguish and quirky Andrew from the start. Sure, he didn’t exactly make the best first impression with his less-than-stellar ideas, but his intentions behind them were nothing but honest. He only wants to live his life by his own rules, and no one should fault him for that. He’s a natural born leader who’s funny, charming, and a bit misguided at times. But his heart is enough to swoon you into submission. You can’t help but fall in love with him.

Sabrina is loyal to a fault, which is how she ends up in this mess of a situation in the first place. She’d do anything for family, and often takes the weight of their missteps on her own shoulders. But she isn’t perfect by any means, and oftentimes she gets in over her head. She’ll never let you see it though. She’s tough, smart, witty, determined, and quick on her feet. And she’ll need all of those qualities when it comes to Andrew.

These two were a riot from the start. The slow-burning chemistry was there from the beginning, even if it was covered up by sarcasm, wit, and a few little white lies. But you can only resist the irresistible for so long. Their story was sexy, sweet, and laugh-out-loud funny. And one you definitely don’t want to miss.

A hilarious swoony twin switch royal romance

I loved Andrew and Sabrina’s arranged marriage, twin switching hilarious love story. Sabrina has an identical twin but they are as different as night and day. They are princesses but in title only. Their family is without funds. Sabrina’s twin, Lizzy, has been engaged to Prince Andrew since she was a child. Lizzy convinces Sabrina to take her place for the engagement festivities while she finishes a work commitment. Sabrina is convinced Lizzy shouldn’t marry Andrew but agrees to pretend to be her sister until the wedding. Andrew does not want to marry Lizzy and comes up with a plan to be just awful enough that she breaks the engagement. Thus begins the eye twitching hilarious games between Andrew and not Lizzy while they follow the winding road to their HEA. The book is well written with three dimensional characters who grow and an engaging storyline. The story has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, steamy scenes, supportive siblings, snort worthy laughs, shenanigans, pranks, and all the swoony love. Experiencing the journey of Andrew and Sabrina as they accept and embrace their true feelings and work through their twisted up relationship gave me all the feels - you will laugh, cry, swoon, grind your teeth, cheer, and happy sigh. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This book didn’t exactly go in the direction I expected but I did enjoy it.

Andrew was such a turd burger, but it was so much fun watching him try not to fall for his princess that he was so sure was not for him. Sabrina was really relatable and I enjoyed watching her interact with Andrew and her sisters. They are just so many secrets and twists, I wasn’t sure who I was cheering for more: Andrew and his childish plan because he wanted real love or Sabrina‘s plan to make things easier for Lizzy. All these secrets that were revealed throughout the book were a bit eye opening: secrets kept by sisters, secrets kept from fiancés, just a secrets everywhere ;)

Favorite part of the book has to be the first kiss between Andrew and Sabrina because wth was he thinking; he faked a fainting spell, I couldn’t stop laughing.

I loved Andrew’s brothers: Jeffery and Nick, I hope we gets books on them as well as Sabrina’s sisters: Lizzy and Zan.

I enjoyed the epilogue about crazy couple and loved how Andrew made their wish come true. I need to know what is goin on with Lizzy and Jeffery, will there be an appearance from Rafe? I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for these crazy royals.

Loved reading Royal Package by Lili Valente

This story was awesome! I truly laughed out loud in several parts. Great story about a Prince who is betrothed to the eldest identical triplet in a neighboring country. Andrew is a rather spoiled Prince in that he almost always gets his way. His grandfather was very close to him and promised him to be married to Elizabeth. Elizabeth or Lizzy as she is known by, is a rather shy introvert who designs and sews lingerie and often speaks in a stutter.

Prince Andrew does not want this marriage so he will do anything to get out of his betrothal. Lizzy begs her outgoing and adventurous sister Sabrina to trade her place for a month while she finishes her designs she's working on and they can trade back before the wedding.

Oh my goodness, the things that both Andrew and Sabrina do are truly laugh out loud funny. They both put forth great effort to make the other want to give up their secrets and it just made me giggle in parts. When these two come together it's like no other story. You will love this book and the lead up to the next in the series is fantastic. Definitely put this in your must read category.

Thank you so much Lily Valente. Bring on book 2.

OMG I loved this book! I was so addicted that i didn't want to stop reading. And the plot is so different from what I know. I just though that the title didn't have much to do with de story. Maybe a 'The Sister's Swap' or something like that, because it doesn't talk about Andrew being a playboy, and I don't even consider him one. But okay.
All Andrew and Sabrina's story was so cute. I just wasn'te expecting the end, about Lizzie and Jeffrey, but I liked it ahah
They rushed the ending, at least for my liking, and i wish they've made a final chapter about how everything was gonna be for the couple in a few months, or years.

Three princes, one of which has had an arranged marriage, for his future, since he was young. Andrew remembers Lizzy as a kid, she was shy and awkward. He was really horrible to her, but all in fun (according to him). Now, the time has come for them to get married. She wants to come and spend time with him and "get to know him" before the wedding. His goal is to make her call it off and he will go to any length to make this happen. Between him and his brothers surely they can send her running for the hills!

Lizzy is a triplet and an introvert. She is betrothed to Prince Andrew and it makes her ill to even think about it. He was so mean to her as a child, but she feels like this is her duty and will go through with the wedding, as planned. If only she could make him back out of the marriage before it happens. She has a deadline to meet in her business and gets an idea to get to know Andrew that involves her identical twin, Sabrina, who is also her polar opposite.

What a story! I loved the characters so much and I hope there are stories in the works for the remaining siblings!!

Previously titled Royal Package. Same delicious story but new sexy cover. A Lili Valenti story about a Royal twin switch to add to my list of favorites. Prince Andrew is stuck in an arranged marriage promise with Princess Elizabeth. She convinces her twin sister Sabrina to act in her place temporarily just until the wedding while she completes a project. While Sabrina is pretending to be Elizabeth and going through the motions of all pre-wedding preparations, Prince Andrew is doing whatever he can to make himself uncharming to get her to break it off. And the complications begin. The build up of passion between the couples is slow but combustible. And as usual, secrets don’t stay secret. Right up to the very steamy epilogue, there is still some question as to the outcome if their relationship. So engrossing! Couldn’t put down until the fate of their relationship was revealed. Shane East and Lili Valenti are fabulous together in the narration of this quirky, humorous and oh so sexy story. Loved every minute if it. Now I Need to read Elizabeth’s story to discover where she’s been hiding. Love it!!

An enjoyable read...

I read this book as a fun and light read, not trying to bend it and all it's details to the hard and fast truths of life and relationships. I know, it's unusual for me to read with that POV, but I'm tired of reading every book with a critical eye. Princes, Princesses and arranged marriages are all the makings of fantasy, so anything goes. I enjoyed the author's writing style, her slow and steady development of the characters and the vividly described scenes. I'm a visual reader and recreate the story in my mind's eye, like a tiny projector film running in my mind. That's why I'm a slow reader, but I also enjoy every minute of every story. This was very easy to do with this story. There were about a dozen typos and proofreading errors, and some really, really, very bad foul language sentences that this story would have been stronger without. For these I take away one star. Otherwise, it was a very smooth read. I had to break my reading of this book into 4 sittings, but the story kept drawing me back to finish it. This author has earned a seat on my coveted Whitelist and I look forward to reading more of her work after the holidays.
