Of my brothers, I’m the royal no one messes with. More intense than princely. The gruffest grouch in all the land.
But not with her.
Lizzy…gets to me. Always has, probably always will.
Too adorably different for her own good, she brings out a protective side of me I can’t seem to temper. Especially when she puts everyone else’s dreams before her own.
Now I hear she’s risking her health for her twin, with the reasoning that some family curse is going to cut her life short anyway.
Hell, not on my watch.
She’s the only one who makes me crack a smile, makes me believe love isn’t only for less hardened men like my brothers.
And I’ll be damned if I’m going to lose her.
Previously titled Prince of my Panties. Same fun story, just with a fresh title and cover makeover.

I had higher expectations for this book because of the synopsis and from what I read from book 1 but it took a weird 'magical' turn where our main heroine believes in a curse and that she will die. Like...ok. Anyways the relationship was cute but it didn't have the fun/exciting events like the last book.
3.5 Stars In case you are like me and didn’t realize it, this is the second book in The Royal Package series. The first being Royal Package. It can certainly be read as a standalone because the events in the first two books happen in parallel. Since they take place at the same time the story in this book isn’t built upon what happened in the first but instead intertwined. In fact since Princess Elizabeth the female lead in this story is the architect of what happened in the first book The Royal Package, it almost makes more sense to read Prince of My Panties first. The only caveat is if you read this book first you will be made aware of the outcome of the first book. Of course if you’re a veteran contemporary romance reader you already know how it will end. In contemporary romance it's always the journey, not the destination that matters. Our heroine Princess Elizabeth or Lizzy is the first born triplet of the royal family of the imaginary small European country of Rendish. Her sisters are her identical twin Sabrina and Alexandria or Zan as they call her. Lizzy’s family had ruled Rendish for generations but often not so wisely. During her parents rein the good citizens decide to overthrow the monarchy and create a democracy leaving Lizzy’s family with only their titles and a rundown castle to call home. Her late grandfather makes an agreement with the then king of the bordering monarchy of Galantia for their first born grandchildren to wed. The arranged marriage will provide Lizzy’s family with the much needed cash flow to fix up their crumbling castle and keep them in the lifestyle they’ve become accustomed to. So at five years old Princess Elizabeth of Rendish is betrothed to Prince Andrew of Galantia. But there’s a problem with the plan. When she was seven years old Lizzy was kidnapped from a playground she and her sisters were playing on by a Gypsy fortune teller who tells her that due to a curse put upon her family for their treatment of the Romani or Gypsies she as the first born of her generation is destined to die on her 26th birthday as many first borne of her line had done. So Lizzy spends the next nineteen years of her life believing she’s going to die on her 26th birthday. By the time she’s thirteen as the book opens she’s already made a plan to send her identical twin Sabrina to marry the handsome outgoing Prince Andrew in her place. Not only does Sabrina not have a death sentence hanging over her head but Lizzy sees the outgoing, adventurous Sabrina as a far better match for the prince who will be king. Sabrina and Andrew’s story is the subject of Royal Package, the first book in this series. Lizzy is painfully, thin and a stuttering problem has made her shy and introverted. She has spent most of her life within the walls of her castle home. She did have a sexual relationship with the family cook’s son Rafe when she was a teenager but never gave him her virginity and refused his offer of marriage because thinking she was living on borrowed time, she didn’t want to break his heart. So now as a twenty-five-year-old virgin thinking she has only six months left to live, she’s looking to lose her V-card. Just not with someone who might fall in love with her and be broken hearted when she leaves this “Earthly Coil.” Enter Prince Jeffery, Prince Andrew’s extremely handsome, slightly younger brother. When as a 13-year-old Lizzy was attending a royal function in Galantia she got to know Jeffrey whose kindness to her made quite the impression. Unbeknownst to Lizzy the shy, awkward but intelligent and funny 13 year old had also made quite the impression on then sixteen year old Jeffrey. Now twelve years later their three year age difference doesn’t matter. What does matter is that Lizzy is betrothed to Jeffrey’s brother and he’s figured out that the woman now in Galantia pretending to be Lizzy. preparing to marry his brother and become queen is not Lizzy, it’s Sabrina. Jeffery sets out for Rendish intending to find Lizzy and force her to reveal the truth before his brother can marry Sabrina under false pretenses. Fate seems to play a large role in the lives of these two. It is fate that allows Jeffery to discover where Lizzy is living temporarily, hiding so her mother doesn’t know she’s not in Galantia while she works on finishing the line of lingerie she’s designing in hopes of leaving a lasting legacy and stream of income for her family. When she manages to escape Jeffery, fate again allows him to find her and nurse her through a serious case of pneumonia which may have otherwise killed her. While nursing Lizzy back to health she is forced to reveal her secret. That she is the victim of a curse and will die on her next birthday. By this point Jeffery has fallen in love with Lizzy and is determined to help her find the fortune teller who told her she was doomed and dispel her fears allowing her to plan a future that hopefully includes him. At an early point during their search for the gypsy fortune teller Lizzy realizes she’s in love with Jeffery and decides Jeffery is old enough to make up his own mind so if she gives him her V-card and he falls in love with her its his informed adult choice. Once she has sex with Jeffery and discovers the joy of sex, she becomes rather obsessed with it. Even though every sexual episode isn’t detailed in the story many are and its clear these two can’t keep their hands off one another. The tension mounts as the two search for the fortune teller in hopes that in her frightened seven year old mind Lizzy may have misunderstood what the Gypsy told her. Even though it sounds rather silly I found the search for the fortune teller and the truth behind the curse to be a compelling part of the story that kept me turning the pages. It was also nice to watch Lizzy with Jeffery's help find her inner strength and confidence. It’s always nice when you discover a book is more than you expected it to be. While this one definitely won’t be winning any Pulitzers is certainly was a fun and exciting romp.
I absolutely could not stand how Elizabeth took something she saw as a child and decided to lie and deceive and betray TWO families. She was a f**king lunatic and she should have been institutionalized. There was nothing cute about the way she acted, and I am so tired of grown-ass men falling for women who're "adorable" when they are just being mouthy brats.
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
This is the second book in the series and can certainly be read as a stand alone, you just get more about the characters they talk about, (Andrew and Sabrina) who are their respective siblings.
Elizabeth, known as Lizzy is in hiding and trying to finish her underwear collection, whilst also sending her sister Sabrina in her place as the finale to Andew. Knowing that they should be a perfect match, she work hard, but does not recon on Andrews brother Prince Jeffrey finding her, following her when she runs and then looking after her as she becomes really, really ill.
Elizabeth has been harbouring a secret for years and Elizabeth in her illness tells Jeffrey all about it. He decides eventually to help track down the woman involved and set the record straight, however what he uncovers has the sceptic changing his mind.
The chemistry between the pair simmers right until they finally give into each other when it explodes and they find more than they bargained for. Jeffery proves to be the dependable type and is there and supportive when it really matters, he is also very good at listening to Elizabeth and being an all round good companion.
Really looking forward to the next book in the series when the last two siblings Nick and Zan get their story.
Prince of my Panties is a sweet, fun, royal romance! Lili Valente has written a cute story, with a little bit of suspense which I found super entertaining. Lili Valente and Shane East narrate this audiobook.
Lizzy and Jeffrey met when she was only 13 and he was 16. Lizzy was in an arranged marriage to Jeffrey's brother. Lizzy knew when she was younger that she could never go through with the marriage. On a chance encounter with Jeffrey as a teenager, he left a lasting impression on her heart.
Lili Valente and Shane East's voices complimented each other so well in this book. Lili conveyed Lizzy's passion and determination in her performance. Shane was super sexy, as an experienced, intrigued Jeffrey. I love their performances, and their storytelling kept me hooked to the story.
Overall Lili has written another great story. I now need to go back and listen to Royal Package, book one in the series. I am also looking forward to the third book in their series as well!
Living her life with a curse hanging over her head wasn’t really living at all. In order to protect others from her curse Lizzie never allowed herself to do the things she wanted, enjoy life or fall in love. Enter Prince Jeffrey who decides it’s time to help her break this curse once and for all. I loved the innocence of the relationship between Lizzie and Jeffrey. If you are a fan of contemporary romance you will enjoy this story
This book has such a unique story line! I wasn’t sure what to think when I read the blurb, but I am so happy I took a chance! This story is set in modern times. It’s not a historical fiction novel.
Elizabeth is quirky and hilarious. I absolutely love her. Prince Jeffrey has this grumpy, buttoned-up exterior, but underneath he is the perfect match for Elizabeth.
So many royal secrets. You’ll have to read for all the delicious tension and to see how everything plays out.
As a fan of interconnected events in stories, this one definitely filled in the blanks of what happened once Jeffrey realized Sabrina and Elizabeth were switching places. I’m writing this review as if another reader already read the first story, so if you’re reading this and haven’t read the first one yet, well you just spoiled it for yourself and I’m sorry. I liked this book much better than the last one. I connected with Jeffrey and Elizabeth more because they didn’t play games with each other, nor did they try to disrupt their connection. The only thing holding Elizabeth back from losing herself in Jeffrey was a curse she claims was cast on her family and that she will die after her 26th birthday. She bases this on a run in she has with a gypsy who told her. It was the way it was told to Elizabeth that had her on edge and thinking she didn’t have much time on her hands and what causes her to close herself off from the world and ensure she doesn’t put her family at risk. When Jeffrey finds her, you witness Elizabeth grow into herself and become more confident, unafraid and willing to come out of her shell. If you read the last book, you’ll know she has a stutter and this disappears when she spends time with Jeffrey and realizes she feels safe and trusts him. Honestly this was a really feel good story and there wasn’t any misunderstanding or disconnect from Jeffrey and Elizabeth. Jeffrey gets rid of his brooding personality and anger which was causing him to appear serious and mad all the time. He immediately drops his guard with Elizabeth and becomes this vulnerable, sweet, caring guy that it’s crazy to think he was closed off in the first book. He felt comfortable with her and fell first. He was the first to admit this to us as the readers and Elizabeth took a little bit longer. She wanted to wait until it seemed like the curse could have sent the wrong message to her as a child. That is, until her feelings for Jeffrey became too strong to ignore so she just allowed herself to fall in love and enjoy the tender, heated and beautiful moments between the two of them and there were a lot! I loved being a part of their whimsical world and the passion and emotion they showed to each other in the way they care and express themselves, not just physically, but emotionally. This has everything I want in romance. I’m bittersweet the last of the brothers is coming up because I’ve really enjoyed this series. If Nick and Zan’s stories end this series on a high note, I would finish it with that same sense of happiness and connection I felt when I read it.

I already loved Andrew & Sabrina´s story in Royal Package but I have to say I loved this one even more. Also, “Prince of my Panties” must be one of my favourite book titles. It´s just awesome!
This can be read/listened to as standalone, but I would highly recommend reading Royal Package first.
This is a sweet, sexy, light-hearted story mixed with a bit of mystery and some twists.
Lizzy thought all her life that she was cursed since she was kidnapped as a child by a gipsy woman. This also influenced decisions that she made for her future. She is part of a triplet and loves her sisters Sabrina and Alexandra. Sabrina being her identical twin.
We already know from reading/listening to the first book that Lizzy (being the eldest triplet) was also promised to Prince Andrew (Jeffrey´s older brother) when they were children. She does not want to marry him but thinks her identical twin Sabrina would be perfect. She suggests a swap but is lying to Sabrina about the real reasons to swap places. Prince Jeffrey quickly figures out that Sabrina is not who she says she is and sets out to find Lizzy.
Jeffrey soon finds a very sick Lizzy and tends to her. One night she tells him about the family curse in her feverish state. Jeffrey does not want to believe that this is true and encourages Lizzy to find out more about that curse. She is reluctant at first, but they set out to seek what truly lies behind this curse.
I loved the chemistry between Lizzy & Jeffrey and their undeniable connection, which seemed to be still there since their first encounter 12 years ago. I adored Jeffrey, this muscly, scowling, broad 6 feet 3 inches of princely hotness, who was nothing but sweet to Lizzy. Well, he did get quite frustrated at times as she is certainly spirited, but he showed her how to believe in herself and overcome her own insecurities.
There is not much to say to the audio performance as they were both brilliant. I adore Shane Easts performances. So again, this one was royally awesome. I can also never get enough of angry Shane who does make a small appearance in Chapter 7.
Lili Valente I loved listening to this book, and your audio performance and portrayal of Lizzy are perfect. You were Lizzy with all her passions and imperfections. I felt I was there with them and I especially loved your accent for Prince Jeffrey.
Can I tell you how much I adore these princess triplets from Rindish and the princely Brothers of Gallantia?! We'll get to my effusive aggrandizing of these characters a little later, but first, I feel the need to address the book title.
Yes, it's corny. It’s tongue-in-cheek, and surely not meant to be taken seriously. Princess Elizabeth (Lizzy) is betrothed to Andrew, the eldest brother slated to become king. But Lizzy has more important things to attend to, like her designer lingerie line she's under a deadline to complete (hence, the aforementioned panties from the title). Lizzy sends her identical sister to Gallantia to partake in all of the pre-wedding festivities In Lizzy's place. If you’ve read the first book in the series, you know how well that works out.
That’s not the only hiccup in Lizzy's plan. You see, she's definitely taken with one of the Gallantia princes, but it's Jeffrey rather than Andrew who's captured her heart. He was so kind to her as children (whereas Andrew put snakes in her bed!) and she's been crushing on Jeffrey ever since. Then there's the whole curse thing, that a the oldest female from each generation of her family will die tragically at the age of 26. As if that isn’t enough to deal with, Jeffrey has found Lizzy at the secluded cottage she escaped to in order to finish her designs. Sorry Lizzy. The jig is up.
These characters may be royalty, but they’re flawed, endearing and relatable, and so much fun that I snorted, laughed and grinned my way through the book. Lizzy seems shy and introverted, especially with her life-long stutter, but she's smart and strong, and a little conniving. Also, her stutter seems to vanish when she's with Jeffrey, which just shows how comfortable she is around him. And his royal hotness, Jeffrey, well I blame him for this excruciatingly slow burn of a romance. He’s plenty attracted to Lizzy but he wouldn’t even kiss her while she was “engaged.” Prince Jeffrey is nothing if not a gentleman, after all.
Steep your tea, settle in to your favorite book nook, and hit that 1-Click. Then prepare yourself for a uproarious, bedazzling, heartwarming, happy-sigh-inducing, phenomenal read! Fair warning though, once you start reading you won’t want to put it down.
“𝙉𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙪𝙨 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙄 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙧 𝙣𝙤𝙩, 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙅𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙. 𝘽𝙮 𝙢𝙚. 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨.” 👸🏼 Let’s talk about “Prince of My Panties by Lili Valente”, second book of the Royal Package series. 🤴🏻 Sometimes I wonder why do I do this to myself? Start a series in the middle thinking that I’ll be ok. Because as I finished this book, I’m sooo addicted to this series that I want to read the first book and I want the next right now, all together. The triplets girls, Elizabeth, Sabrina and Alexandra, formers princesses and now all involved with the three brothers from another country, all of them princes are so much fun! In this story we have Lizzy and Jeffrey and they are so opposite that they are perfect together.
Lizzy was kidnapped when she was 7 by a clairvoyant who said that her family is cursed and being the first born, she is set to die with 26yo. The poor girl lives her life trying to set her life in order so she can go peacefully and with everyone but her happy. Enter Prince Jeffrey who has his mind set to give her his whole future and love. They just need to find out if the curse is real and how to break.
Together they embark in a journey to find the truth and what they find surpass everything they thought. They find friendship, a lot of love, with a chemistry that is explosive and trust. But to reach there there’s a lot of funny and WTH moments, I could read their story for a long long time. I loved how they become open to one another and supportive even if the scenario is totally crazy. And this curse and everything surround totally crazy!
I’m obsessed with the epilogue I wish it had more pages! If someone find a bonus epilogue around, let me know! Now I need to read Sabrina and Andrew, but most of all, Alexandra’s and Nick’s story because this one will be to much of gem to missed. Prince of My Panties is definitely my favorite book from Lili! If you enjoy Royal romance, with a lot of steam and shenanigans this is for you.
I did not think a book could surpass The Playboy Prince, but this managed it. It's sweet and heartfelt. This one is definitely more a friends to lovers situation. Friends who have a disagreement. For reasons Elizabeth thinks she's going to die on her twenty sixth birthday. Jeffrey is out to prove her wrong any way he can. So they go on a sort of adventure to find out the truth behind her "curse." This was so interesting to watch and figure out. Especially as the whole time they're trying to figure out what's going on they're growing closer to each other.
Elizabeth's life has been consumed by what she believes is going to happen to her. She's let it control her entire life up until this point. For reasons that you find out in the first book she's kind of hiding out. Jeffrey comes to find her and he's kind of mad at her for a whole five seconds. However this book has one of my romance favorite tropes which is where one character is sick and the other one takes care of them. It happens so early on in the book, but it's just so sweet. Jeffrey is seen as the scary brother because he tends to look perpetually grumpy. He's such a kind and sweet man, though. He doesn't miss a beat in the switch from being upset with her to taking care of her. I loved seeing Elizabeth grow throughout their adventure too.
Something I wasn't expecting was a look into the treatment of the Romani people in Europe. I think Lili Valente wanted to bring attention to the terrible way they've been treated so she included this within her own fictional countries as well. It definitely gave the story more serious moments compared to the first book, but I think that worked well for this story and these characters.
You definitely see parts of the previous book in this one. I think if you want you could read this one by itself, though. There are just certain things that will have more impact if you read this book after The Playboy Prince. There are of course hints to the last book with Alexandra/Nick. I'm really excited to see their story play out in the final book of the series.
Prince Jeffrey is so perfect in this story and has my heart. What a great story line.
I absolutely loved this story. From the beginning you read how Jeffrey saves Elizabeth in the library when she accidentally burns the rug when her candle falls on the floor. He doesn't embarrass her when he sees that she has a rather scandalous book. He just accepts her and lets her on her way.
6 years later when the two families come together again Jeffrey takes it upon himself to find out the truth of why Elizabeth is pretending to be her twin sister Sabrina in Sabrina has traded places with Elizabeth. Jeffrey brother Andrew is supposed to marry Elizabeth but for some reason Sabrina has shown up in her place. Jeffrey knows that isn't Elizabeth he remembers her well from the library. He could always tell the 2 of them apart.
Now he must find Elizabeth and see what kind of horrible game these 2 are playing at. When Jeffrey finally Elizabeth he asked her what kind of game that she is playing. Elizabeth then tells Jeffrey the story about when she was kidnapped as a child by lone woman. This woman was a gypsy who told stories of Elizabeth's family and that she would die on the night of her 26th birthday. Jeffrey has feelings for Elizabeth and swears to do everything he can to find this woman and have her fix whatever curset that Elizabeth feels she is under.
Oh what happens on this crusade is loads of intrigue and a realization that they are truly in love. Will they fight all that comes against them to get this perfect thing that's just a grasp away? I love this 2nd story of the series and i can't wait for the 3rd. I absolutely love stories by Lily Valente and I know you will too. Enjoy!!
Prince of My Panties is the second book in the Royal Package series and follows Elizabeth and Jeffery. While it can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the first book in the series to gain background on certain events.
Elizabeth is the oldest of three princesses who are triplets and when she was younger, she was promised in marriage to Prince Jeffrey’s brother. However, an encounter with a gypsy when she was a child has convinced her that it’s actually her sister that should marry Jeffrey’s brother so she sends her sister in her place and goes into hiding. Jeffrey instantly knew that Lizzie had not been the one who had shown up to wed his brother and he is determined to find Lizzie. When he does, he finds Lizzie is hiding a secret. Can he help Lizzie solve the mystery of her past and realize she does have a future?
Lizzie and Jeffrey were a perfect match for each other. When they were younger, they had developed a bond after spending a night talking about books and life and the bond is quickly reignited when they reunite. Their journey of self-discovery only strengthens that bond and allows Lizzie to become strong enough to face her secret.
I alternated between the book and the audio version of this story. Narrated by Shane East and Lili Valente, they bring the characters to life. I always enjoy Lili Valente’s performance and she truly embodied Lizzie. Shane East’s accent for Jeffrey was great and I could feel his passion for Lizzie.
As always, Lili Valente has blessed us with a sweet, sexy, funny and lighthearted romance that will bring a smile to your face.
Prince of my Panties is the 2nd book in the Royal Package series. The title says it all..... Prince Jefferey, the General, is out to prove that the royal twin he has set his eyes on is Elizabeth. He won't allow his brother Prince Andrew be the laughing stock of his people. Elizabeth will be accountable for the twin switch.
Elizabeth knows she has been found out and will stop at nothing to get away from Jeffery. While attempting her escape, Elizabeth gets really sick. Thank goodness for Jeffery's persistence, who knows what Elizabeth's fate would have been if he hadn't found her when he did.
While taking care of Elizabeth, Jeffery comes to find out what has been driving Elizabeth to be so adamant about having Sabrina take her place and her urgency to have everything in place by her 26th birthday. Spending time together also has solidified Elizabeth and Jeffery's feelings for one another that started years ago when they were younger. Elizabeth knew that under that rough exterior lied and extraordinary man and Jeffery always saw the strength Elizabeth possessed. They each saw and see the best in each other and bring out the best of each other. Together they are force to be reckoned with. Jeffery knows that his place is to help Elizabeth face the demons that have stolen her youth. Together they set their eyes on finding out the truth and along the way they find their way to each other.
What a great addition Prince of my Panties is to this series. Looks like each of the triplets may just have a future with all the princes! Great job as always Lili Valente! What do you have in store for Zen and Nick?? I can't wait!!!!
Princess Elizabeth was betrothed to Prince Andrew when she was very young - to save the dwindling reputation of her family, who have lost their importance in their country, which is now democratic. But she's very sure that it would be her twin sister, Sabrina, who will fall in love with the Prince and marry happily ever after. And that she will die when she turns 26 - just like all the other firstborns in her family from several decades. She doesn't dare say this to anyone because she knows no one would believe her and might consider admitting her to a mental hospital for imagining curses and predictions.
Prince Jeffrey knows that the Princess with his brother Andrew for the engagement is not the Princess he was betrothed to. Though it has been years since his last conversation with Elizabeth, he is sure that Sabrina is posing as her elder twin. Determined to prove their 'twin swap' and to save his brother from being betrayed, he sets out to find Elizabeth. He is also curious to know how she has turned out after the interesting incident that sparked their conversation when they were in their teens.
I have been judging books by their covers lately, after having had not so good experiences with novels that have just a picture of a guy and very obvious and sometimes cringeworthy names. But among those books, I am glad I chose this gem. It was very well written, with an intriguing and mysterious plot, funny and lovely characters, and a touch of magic. I enjoyed the interactions between Elizabeth and Jeffrey. How polar opposites they were and how well they fit together.
I highly recommend this book if you love a good grumpy sunshine trope or a romcom with a little sprinkle of magic.
This is book 2 in the Royal Package series and can be read as standalone. We’ve met Princess Elizabeth and Prince Jeffrey briefly in book one, and Prince of my Panties tells their story. Oldest of the royal triplets, Princess Elizabeth, aka Lizzy, had been betrothed to Prince Andrew when they were children. Only now, at 25, she sends her identical sister Sabrina to pretend to be her and to be happily in love with Andrew. Lizzy has more pressing matters to do - for one, finishing the spring lingerie collection she is working on to establish herself as the most sought after designer of intimate apparel. She is hiding away in a cabin but Prince Jeffrey is hot on het trail and he suspects there’s been a switch. Lizzy falls ill and when Jeffrey finds her feverish and passed out she shares a secret that she’s carried most of her life, one she believes will soon negatively impact her life. Jeffrey agrees to help her track down the origin of the secret and help her overcome the fears she’s been living with most of her life. As they embark on their journey, not only they discover what Lizzy had been seeking, but also become aware of feelings they’ve harbored for each other since childhood. I truly enjoyed this sweet, romantic, witty, funny and steamy story and would recommend it to any romcom enthusiast.
This is a standalone story, but I loved the first book following these dashing princes. I adored Andrew first, and now it’s time for Jeffrey to steal the spotlight from him.
And boy, did he!
Jeffrey is the strong, silent type - except when he’s being overbearing and barking orders from time to time. But don’t let that bossy, gruff exterior fool you. This man has a beautiful heart and is a great guy straight to his core. He’s smart, funny, extremely sexy and just as stubborn as Elizabeth is.
Speaking of Elizabeth, she’s definitely my new girl crush! This girl is a beautiful mess. She’s a little bit nutty at times but she’s strong, resilient, and the aforementioned stubborn. She knows what she’s doing and how she’s going to do it, and she won’t let anyone tell her otherwise.
These two together are an absolute adventure. They aren’t alike, but yet they are. These two will definitely keep you on your toes as you read their story. They have tons of chemistry, but it’s not all about the heat in this book (although there are some really steamy encounters to look forward to). There’s an equal number of sweet, heartfelt moments in this book too. And trust me when I tell you that you are going to fall in love with these two. I highly recommend this book!
Two brothers down, only one more to go. I can’t wait to read Nick’s story!
Next up in the Royal Package series, Prince Jeffrey and Princess Elizabeth. This story happens not quite at the end of Prince Andrew and Princess Sabrina's story in the previous book. Jeffrey has suspected for a while that Sabrina is pretending to be Elizabeth, the one betrothed to Prince Andrew. He doesn't have proof of the deception, but he's working on getting it. Meanwhile, Elizabeth has taken some time away from her family's castle to work on her project and stay out of sight for a while. She's certain Sabrina and Andrew are falling in love, and they just need a little more time. Jeffrey has plans to blow up the princess' scheme in their faces. He tracks down Elizabeth, and things take an unforseen turn. As they spend time together, they see each other quite differently, and instead of enemies, they form a great friendship. And they bang--duh!
This was such a beautiful love story unfolding that began a long time ago. The heat between Jeffrey and Elizabeth is quite dirty and sweet, and hot AF! This was a wonderful adventure, and there's even a scavenger hunt. I already want to listen to it again!
I'm in love with this series, and Shane and Lili's narration is so perfect!
Under the list of ‘must read everything they ever wrote authors’, Lili Valente is the one who started the lis. I’ve always read romance, starting by sneaking mom’s books whenever possible. I kind of got out of the genre but this author’s words pulled me back in. Cowboys, rebels, now royalty? Yup, it’s all amazingly good so Elizabeth (Lizzy) and Jeffrey were no surprise but no less wonderful!
From Lizzy as a shy, introverted teenager to a focused adult, her journey was linked to her prince’s brother of all people. Years later, they were both still alone though not supposedly ‘taken’. Searching for the truth, Jeffrey was going to find out where Lizzy fit, and what he found surprised him…
Identical twins, family honor, promises made, could not stand in the way of love and their romance was all I wanted for them. Humour, desire, and even more importantly, the matching of souls really, meant this duo crawled their way into my heart quickly. And notched a permanent place there.
Realizing I missed the first in this series (how the heck did that happen?? *mutters* that never happens) means I have something to keep me occupied while I impatiently wait for the next…
The Grumpy Prince is the second book in the Rugged and Royal series. The series is centered around 3 brothers who are the Von Bergen Princes of Gallantia and 3 Rochat sisters who are ceremonial only princesses of Rinderland. The first book and second book take place at the same time. The third book starts toward the end of the first two books and happens a few months later. It can be read as a standalone book, but there is a bit of overlap between the first two books.
Jeffrey is the 2nd brother of the three. His oldest brother is about to be crowned king and has been preparing for an arranged marriage with Elizabeth, the oldest of the Rochat sisters. Elizabeth and Sabrina are identical twins who are triplets with their youngest sister. Elizabeth has convinced Sabrina to stand in for her month-long engagement ceremonies. The truth is Lizzy thinks that Sabrina and Andrew will fall in love. Suspecting the switch, Jeffrey goes looking for Lizzy in Rinderland. He finds her mostly by mistake but stays on her tail until she settles in a cabin. When he goes to confront her, he finds her seriously ill with pneumonia. This story has a lot of twists and turns in it that challenge reality a bit. Overall, it is fun with some mysticism and Romany people involved in it.
A sort of second-chance romance where the MCs meet as teens (13 &15) then reconnect 12 years later when their siblings marry.
Princess Elizabeth was betrothed to Prince Jeffrey's elder brother as a baby, but did an identical twin swap with her sister Sabrina (in book 1 of the series), resulting in their HEA.
Elizabeth has grown up with a secret crush on Jeffrey after his care and kindness to her when their families visited each other years ago, but when they reconnect just prior to Sabrina's engagement, it's basically insta-love on both sides. Jeffrey is just as besotted, although his grumpy facade and tendency to be bossy hides his caring, protective nature.
There is a nebulous threat to Lizzie via a curse that an old Romany woman proclaimed would kill her by her 26th birthday. Lizzie has secretly been planning her life to coincide with an end date at her birthday in 6 months. Jeffrey and she embark on a road trip of sorts to hunt down the source of the curse and nullify it, or at least disprove it. The plot got a little woo-woo for a while, but all was resolved neatly in the end.
I don’t think I could love this book if I tried! As soon as sweet, shy Elizabeth met the gallant and lovely Jeffrey in the library when they were teens, I knew their story would be swoon-worthy from start to finish. The addition of an identical twin switch, an arranged royal marriage and...my favorite part...a curse and I wasn’t going to be pulled away from this book, even if the house flooded! Thankfully, it did not and I was able to follow Elizabeth and Jeffrey on their quest (if you’re trying to understand and track down information on a curse, of course it’s called a quest) in one sitting. Readers don’t need to have read book one in the series, in my opinion, because everything you need to know is explained in this story. Plus, while Andrew and Sabrina are fine, likable characters and siblings to our H/h, they don’t hold a candle to the romance and connection of Jeffrey and Elizabeth. This story was the perfect storm of yummy goodness, which I highly recommend to new and established fans of both Lili Valente and the romance genre in general.
Price of My Panties is the second book in the Royal Package series by Lili Valente. I love Lili and I love royal stories so this was just perfect. I actually think I liked this one more than the last one! If you read Royal Package then you already know a little bit about Jeffrey and Lizzie. But their story started years ago. They had an instant connection when they were younger and Lizzie always felt safe with him. Now he's taking care of her when she's sick and he's not a young kid anymore. He's all grown up and sexy and sweet. They both have responsibilities to their families, but when it's just the two of them, they seem to relax and just be themselves. But something is holding Lizzie back and Jeffrey is determined to help her get past it and show her they have a future. Together. I loved everything about this story! The mystery, the fate, the story, the characters! Jeffrey was so…everything! I loved that he could always tell Lizzie from her sisters. There was always something more between them. Overall I smiled, swooned and laughed! Looking forward to the next book!
Prince of My Panties is the second release of this series by one of my all time favorite authors, Lili Valente. Ms. Valente has an undeniable knack for romance, and she has once again completely captivated me with Lizzie and Jeffrey. Though Lizzy was betrothed as a young girl to his eldest brother, the bond Jeffrey and Lizzy formed all those years ago could not be ignored. With a family curse thrown into their story, I just didn’t want to stop reading until I knew they got their happily ever after.
Though Prince of My Panties is a standalone story, having read the first book in this series did help fill in the background of their families’ connection which helped to round out Lizzy and Jeffrey’s romance as well as the other characters. Ms. Valente’s books are always entertaining with very smart and witty interactions between her characters, not to mention the hot and oh-so-steamy romance as well. I can’t wait for more in the Royal Package series.
This book is fantastic! I love how all the sweet and sexy is mixed in with the more serious aspects of the story and then humor is interlaced throughout and tied up neatly with a carnal bow. Not only can Lili Valente write the heck out of a RomCom, but she narrates like a dream too. With Shane East as Prince Jeffrey (so swoony) and Lili as Elizabeth (sweet ), magic surely happens when you listen to this story. It really adds so much to the feeling and emotion of a book when the narrators are this wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed this one from beginning to end and felt all the things. I especially enjoyed laughing out loud at some of the quirkiness of Elizabeth and how she even seems to lead Jeffrey more in that direction as the story goes on. And he did in fact become the prince of her panties but I am pretty sure she ruled his royal package! This was a lot of fun and a real pleasure to listen to.
I so adored Lizzy and Jeffrey! It felt like I was in the middle of an adventure with these two. I could imagine the book playing out as if it were a movie in my head, which says something about Lili Valente's ability to paint not just a scene but a thought or an emotion as well. The humor is there, as is the wit, and don't even get me started on the romance because that was ever-present, both sweetly and deliciously so. I loved seeing how being around Lizzy nudged, prodded, and pushed Jeffrey out of his own comfort zone. On the other hand, Jeffrey saw Lizzy for who she was and accepted her wholeheartedly, and that was something that was obvious even during that first meeting of theirs in the library when they were sixteen and thirteen, and now twelve years later. I thoroughly enjoyed Prince of My Panties, and look forward to Nick and Zan's story next!
Lizzie has an arranged marriage looming over her to someone she doesn't even know. Well, she knows him but she knows nothing about him to want to spend the rest of her life with him. She forms a plan and gets her twin (Lizzie is a triplet, but only her and Sabrina are identical) to step in because, unlike her, Sabrina does like Prince Andrew. She thinks the plan will work until she runs into Jeffrey, while pretending to be Sabrina. Jeffrey and her were friends when they were young and he knows her and her quirks. Of course, Jeffrey realizes it's Lizzie he's run into and not Sabrina, and he's going to prove it, even though she denied who she was. His brother won't be marrying who he thinks he's marrying because of the switch that Lizzie pulled.
I loved this story so much! So many twists and turns! I was so in love with Jeffrey from the beginning! A wonderful story that was hard not to read straight through!
Leave it to Lily to come with royal families like this with such complex histories and interpersonal relationships. Everyone is hiding something... Add in the element of the family curse weighing heavily on Elizabeth's shoulders and you get excellent shenanigans! Jeffrey and Elizabeth connected on a deep level even as children in their brief interactions. Now he knows something is up, so he is determined to find out what is going on so he can protect his family...and the hot mess of a princess on the run from him. This story is fresh, fun, and definitely steamy when they finally surrender to their attraction for each other. I thoroughly enjoyed this fun listen!
Lily and Shane work so well together you always know it will be good with them together! This is no exception. They both deliver terrific performances with all of the passion for this roller coaster adventure through fear, pain, resentment, awkwardness, attraction, and ultimately a beautiful romantic connection!
