I love this series ❤️ Thank you for writing these wonderful Books Morgana Best.
I needed this! I had just started another book, by a different author, different genre, that I didn’t take to at all, and I so needed a few good laughs! So when I started this, I breathed a sigh of relief. Good, this is better, this is great! I LOVE JenniFur! This book perked me right up, and I think it’s a good medicine against feeling a bit blue! Well-written, and full of imagination. Just as I like it! Recommend!
This is the second book in the new Morgana Best paranormal cozy mystery series. I am enjoying this series with Nell and her talking cat, JenniFur. I love the crazy humor in this book. It makes the book go fast but in a delightful manner. In this book, someone is killing the members of Nell’s book club! The remaining members know one of them could be next. Of course, despite Detective Cole telling Nell not to investigate, they feel they must. That’s as far as I go with the mystery as I’m not one for spoilers. I like the paranormal part and find the Seelie with their Night Court and Summer Court quite interesting. Reading this book was a light and pleasant way to spend my evenings. It is a faster read than I took but it absolutely took my mind off of being ill. If you are looking for a light hearted, fun, cozy mystery to get lost in this may be just what you need. *I was given an electronic version of this book for review consideration. My review is voluntary and based upon my enjoyment of the book.*
Nell is hosting the book club at the store. She is surprised by the way some of the members act. They are waiting on a member to show, Detective Cole shows up with news. He informs them that there was an accident. When another member appears to die by an accident, things aren't what they thought. Nell and the others realize that is seems that the book club might be the target. Nell will have to figure out just what is really going on.
This was a really fun book with a snark that will have you laughing through the book. Each character brings a different level to this series. I am really looking forward to see if Nell and Detective Cole are going to admit feelings for each other. Jennifur makes the book though, she is hilarious. Can't wait for the next one.
Another hit in this series, I maybe didn’t love it as other books by this author but I still had a fun time. I really enjoyed the addition in the main cast of Daphne and Delilah, even if they seem so bizarre and I still need to figure them out. I really want to hear more about fairies, the whole thing was just mentioned in the previous book and here they say only a little more but there’s so much to still uncover.
The mystery was fun, people in the book club keep dying like flies and the tension’s high. I
Nell is busy running her bookstore in Wild Lime Mountain. A member of the store’s book club is dead from an accident. Soon, more members are dead in a short amount of time. Wait! Are these accidents or foul play? Nell and her friends suspect they were murdered but now they need to prove it. I love these characters and their thought processes along with JenniFur, a talking cat that only Nell can hear. As per my usual, I didn’t figure this one out! I really loved this story! I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however, I voluntarily wrote an honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
Nell, Jennifur, Edison, and the twins are back in another mystery. A book club formed many many years ago is taking place at the bookstore. Nell is excited but one of the members has had a fatal accident. At first, no one thought too much of it until another one had an accident and another…and so on. Nell and the gang will go traipsing around in the fashion they do to try and discover clues to point to the murderer! They believe it someone from the Night Court! Even the Detective is in on this one! It seems like there might be a little interest in Nell from him as well! Come along on another insanely hilarious journey with the motley crew to solve another murder mystery!
I ambivalent about this book. I find these characters annoying; having read other books by this author, it seems she's good at irritating and/or obnoxious characters with the mental and dietary proclivities of adolescents. (Where, other than in children's campy fare, does someone rush in announcing "I'm here to rescue you"?) The very limited use of magic is well-imagined, and she's also good at creating engaging mysteries. I think children would enjoy these books.
When one of the book club members is killed in an accident. And then two others die within days of the first death. Nell and the remaining members are sure someone is targeting the book club. How many more will die, and what is the reason behind the deaths. Are the deaths due to the Night Court as two of the members insist? Or, is it something more mundane, but just as deadly? At least to the members of the Summer Court.
Oh my gosh this is is a wonderful, hilarious book! The 5 main characters (6 if you include the cat) are each quirky and funny. The things they say and do are unbelievable. The author's wit is seen more in this series than some of the others, and it is superb! (Just thinking about Daphne and Delilah's house gets me laughing.) All those murders! All that crazy investigating! Potatoes and stuffed cats! You have to read this one ASAP! It's purrfect! I can't wait for the next book!!!
This was murderous fun in a cozy mystery! The book club is dying, literally! Nell, Edison, Daphne and Delilah have to figure out who is killing everyone before they’re next. Is it really the Night Court going after the Summer Court? Or is it just a human with another agenda? Super fun, with lots of twists, and a crazy cat named JenniFur that likes to get drunk and then complain about her hangover the next morning. Hilarious!
Full of mystery and mayhem. Nell and her bookclub buddies are investigating the murders of 5 of their book club members against the wishes of detective Cole. With the help of JenniFur the talking cat they stick together during the investigation. Unsure if they will be next on the murderers list , they are careful not to eat or drink anything other than what they themselves have made. An amusing read . Thanks Morgana
Nell owns a bookstore on Wild Lime Mountain. The book club members are dropping like flies. At first the police see them as accidents but that doesn’t make sense to the remaining book club members. Join Nell and the remaining book club members in solving this case. Will there be a book club remaining? Fun read, can’t wait for more.
Nell and JenniFur, with the help of Edison, Daphne and Delilah, are investigating a bunch of accidents that are actually murders. It seems the members of her book club are being picked off one by one. Can the gang figure out who is behind the murders before they are the next victims? A wonderful read! I received an advance readers copy of this book and I am leaving a voluntary review.
This is another fun addition to the series by one of my favorite cozy mystery authors. Nell, Edison, Delilah, and Daphne fear a rival court is targeting theirs when people start dying. Their investigation into the deaths are some of the funniest yet especially when they involve JenniFur. If you like paranormal cozy mysteries, you'll love this series.
Nell is still working on her new life and her new friends. She's attracted to the detective but is not sure if it's reciprocated. Jennifur is a real pawful. Her group must solve the murders of their fellow book club members before they're next! It's exciting right up to the end with Jennifur by her side!
More fun! Get sleuthing with Nell the bookseller who would NEVER be mistaken for Barbie or any of the eating disorder thin folks. She might be old enough to know better, but that doesn't stop her from getting into trouble while snooping about to find out who is killing off the members of the book club! Laughed my sox off!
With five such diverse victums and more (useless) clues than they know what to do with everyone is getting nowhere....until an old bit of gossip comes to light. The scene at the reading of the will was priceless.
In the second addition of this series, the members of Nell’s book club are being killed off at a rapid rate. After losing 5, the remaining members decide to root out the killer before another one dies. Mayhem, hilarity and a bit of magic ensues.
Enjoyable, funny and with a bit of magic, we follow Nell as she and her 'off' band of friends investigate the murders of five members of the local book club. Who will be next?
Someone is very busy in this little town. Wild Lime Mountain has people dropping like flys. This is another cosy mystery tale., an enjoyable read Can you guess who the killer is?
I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their interactions. The story had multiple murders and keeps the intense factor high. It has a touch of magic, mayhem, and romance. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Amazing, the turns and twists, the never ending list of possible murders! This book is impossible to figure out who dunnit! more twists and dead ends than a maze. Loved the way this story was woven. a definite page turner you will not be able to out down,
