Jubelian and Regis, her father, communicate just like the players of that game where one player needs to wear headphones blasting music and read the other player's lips to decipher what is being said.
So...this was more annoying then I thought it would be. The entire story relies on no communication ever. No one says what they mean - not Jubelian. Not her father. Not her maid. Not her father's disciple. Not a single person.
Except maybe Rose. She's pretty forthright.
What's worse is they all come to the worst conclusions through each other's silence. Jubelian is convinced her father means to have her killed. Her father is convinced Jubelian wants to marry and leave him. Merilyn, the maid, is convinced Jubelian is anxious because she misses her father. Her father's disciple Max is convinced Jubelian will be the end of his master so he's totally watching her for HIS sake not because he likes her.
Rose is just happy Jubelian wants to be her friend.
Its truly the most frustrating set of circumstances compounded by at least one, maybe two, treasonous plots against the useless Emperor. Plus Jubelian's ex-lover Mikhail who... I don't even know where to start with him.
I read a lot of these reincarnation novels and comics, its possibly my favorite relaxing thing, so the vast majority of these tropes don't usually bother me...except here they go in utter nonsensical circles that make me wonder if they shouldn't all just burn.
The fact that we’re still riding on the misunderstanding train is starting to annoy me a bit. The author is relying too much on misunderstanding to move the plot, which makes it all very flimsy. When the authors will realize too much misunderstanding doesn't make a good plot device!
If everyone sat down and had an honest conversation, there would be no story to be had and that says a lot.
I'm only sticking around to see if father and daughter relationship improves and I'm also kinda invested in the romance plot. I love the fact that Juvel doesn’t know Max is the Crown Prince and I would love seeing them grow closer. I like how Max is changing to be better for her without even realizing it. Hopefully soon he'll stop suddenly changing moods because I feel like he changes moods more than when I have my period ~(˘▾˘~)
I read the manhwa version, but I think this is only for the novel (although, I could be mistaken). I'll review the manhwa anyways because this will be more of a personal record anyway.
The manhwa is really good. Overall 8/10 Art 9/10 Plot 7/10 The dramatic irony 10/10 Ah, the irony is hilarious here, istg that's like 90% of the reason why I enjoyed it so much xD
That was epic ❤️🔥 The story, the plot, the characters were amazing 👏 The misunderstanding between the female main character and her father was so heartbreaking 💔, he avoided her not because he hated her 💔on the contrary he loved her sooo much that he was ready to be slave for the evil king so he could protect her against him 😢. It was the ultimate daughter father relationship 🫂. The female main character was very very very cute when she was young 😍, basically adorable to the bone ❤️. She helped the main male character to change and grow into his better self👌. And she also safed all those who was mistreated and misjudged in her previous life, she brought justice to all those weak and misjudged lives ⚖️. The final fight was epic ⚔️, when the mmc and the fmc father worked together to break the curse and seek justice💘.
This book is so fucking funny to read in all seriousness. Like it’s just misunderstanding after misunderstanding after misunderstanding. At some point, I was like omg actually something different happened (that ball where the prince reveals himself) just for it to be in his head!!! I was screaming like this is why she thinks your crazy! The dad also being loving in the 2nd life had me kicking my feet. The bickering he does with the ML OMGGGG. I was snickering so much. I rate this one highly because it’s indulgent and the heroine isn’t insufferable or like so focused on one troupe. She is many and I love that for her lol. I say if your familiar with cliches in these types of series to give it a read as it’s mostly fluffy romance and a slow ass burn like omg so much slow burn here!!

This is cute at the beginning, but dang is there so much miscommunication! This is about a girl who died a villain and then goes back in time to when she was alive and now she's trying anything to change and avoid her death.
The ml is a cinnamon roll who only has a soft spot for the FL. He's the type that I usually like but I HATE how he enters the FL room threw the window whenever he feels like. It's annoying. I hope he changes in this regard.
Okay, now the FL father is sooo good looking. I'm willing to be her step mom. 🥵 joked aside, while I do like him, the father is so bad at communicating it's insane. I also hope he changes in this regard.
1. Plot: Transmigrated (close enough) girl tries to avoid the original humiliation-and-suicide she went through in the novel. To do this she needs to avoid a now-ex and make sure her Dad doesn't betray her again. Meanwhile, her father is emotionally constipated and very stressed about his daughter and the love interest is closing in.
2. The first couple of chapters of this manga? Ouch. They were really very intense, and made me tear up at the end because of how badly things ended for the protagonist. I really wasn't expecting that.
3. This is somewhere between a transmigration and a rebirth, where the heroine actually lived and grew up as the character, but who suddenly had the real-world life memories of reading the novel shoved into her brain one year before her death. I mean, I think so anyway. Sometimes plot points get passed over in webtoon adaptations. Either way, she's effectively a transmigrator.
4. The aloof and neglectful father figure is one of those persons. Which is always fun, because characters who are always great.
5. The love interest and the heroine have a great dynamic. It's very cute and fluffy and first-crushy (especially on the part of the love interest) and they are both very good at communicating with each other, with a couple of exceptions. I ship it.
6. I'm also really interested in whatever's going on with the Yandere ex. He's an unhinged stalker asshole and I hope he's halfway competent at being an antagonist.
7. A lot of the tension between the characters hinges on key misunderstandings, which I'm not entirely fond of. It's nowhere near as bad as it could be and is (as of now, where things are all fluff with a couple of throwaway idiot antagonists) more funny than infuriating, but I forsee it will be way more plot relevant (and ergo, annoying) soon.
ML is an angry looking man who fl sees as a helpless stingy cat and mistakes him to be her father’s disciple. (Which he is but..)
One day she misunderstands that her father wants her to marry the tyrant crown Prince. 🙅♀️ Actually the father loves his daughter a lot and doesn’t want the crown Prince near her. Cue in music - Rude by magic! 🎶 Cuz that’s literally where this is heading.
[If the novel wasn’t to your taste. Maybe the manhwa will be!]
FL doesn’t know ML 👉IS👈the crown Prince. She tells the news to ml and asks him to be in a fake relationship with her so she won’t have to marry the crown Prince. 👀 WHY hasn’t he told her yet that it’s HIM ?? Probably cuz she’s terrified of the rumoured cold-hearted crown Prince, jumped to all the wrong conclusions first and even thinks her father doesn’t care about her. 🤦♀️
ML falls in love with FL first. He’s smitten, a blushy mess for her, has cat ears pop up whenever she’s being affectionate to him it’s so freaking cute! He’s literally like a wild cat who would hiss and scratch you but she tamed him somehow and now he’s an adorable mess only for her. The way max softly smiles around jubellian is so cute ! 😔💘💓💞🐈⬛🐾
I finished up to season 1 (c.53) of the manhwa. It uses miscommunication at the comedic expense of carrying on the story so I can see why it might not be as enjoyable as a novel. But if you want to visualise the story, the manhwa will make you smile and you’ll love their contrasting aesthetics. It’s like that pink and black house next to each other.🖤 They’re such a cute match up so I’ll suffer the slowburn. But it will be a long one.
They made my heart flutter and I also find it very touching how much her father loves her a lot, she’s literally his reason to live and she just doesn’t know it yet cuz of a misunderstanding! 😭 Very typical of isekai stories but I love these three
Other title names: father, I don’t want this marriage !
Art: A for an amazing absolutely beautiful adaptation, but her father is definitely the most gorgeous one 🤩
Started off pretty good if I'm being honest, the art was nice and the concept was funny... and the mystery behind her dad and Max was intriguing... but omg it tanked so hard near the end like idk seemed very low stakes despite the author trying to convince us it was high stakes.... someone should've died!!!!
Also, why is the crown princess' love interest a copy paste of her brother but make it long hair like um security?????
This rating is for the manhwa, since I can't find it on Goodreads (and I'm too lazy to enter the data for the manhwas). I've only read about a third of the novel.
Been doing binge reading of the finished manhwas that I've following this past years and this is one of them... The manhwas are very funny and entertaining, especially the end part where they put teasers for the next episode. Sadly, I haven't read the side stories yet. Really look forward to reading the father's love story ❤️
Imo this deserves all the loves & hype bcs srsly, it’s one amazing story. Yes, it’s full of misunderstandings but i think they are cute & all of those actually move the story forward. The characters are lovely. Max is truly like a cat and a green flag. Fl’s father is amazing both as a husband & a father. The fl does need protection but she is also strong in her own way. If you’re looking for a story where you could laugh, blush & also cry, I’d recommend this.

Read up to chapter 40 before I realized the whole miscommunications and misunderstandings would probably drag the story until who knows how long. Don't get me wrong the art style and the story was highly enjoyable and entertaining- I mean it did carry me through 40 chapters but it just felt like everything could've easily been resolved if they just all sat down and talked.
(Webcomic Reader) This is truly a rare story. All elements are balanced so well! Humor, romance, mystery, heartbreak, action, worldbuilding… EVERYTHING is so good! And the pacing? Ahhhh sensational! The story has a clear through line and works it way towards it wonderfully. Not to mention the ending is as strong and enjoyable as the beginning! Could not recommend more highly!!
I love love love this manga too much. With every re-read i fall more in love with the main characters. Max, Jubel are so cute & perfect together. And and and what to say about Jubel's father, our duke ,he so hot, perfect and loving If there is one manga I want every one to read, it's this one🫶🏼
I am delighted to read this, as the previous manhwas I've read are very traumatic. This is such an entertaining read, and the characters are very funny. I love that all of them are misunderstanding each other. However, I will be putting this manhwa on hold for a while as the pacing was very slow.

Worth reading if you're into the graphic novel version. I don't think I would have enjoyed it if I didn't start with the graphic novel -- the writing (or the translation?) isn't the highest quality.
