Argumento:
Bleiz
Me ofrecí como voluntario para el largo viaje para verificar nuestras fronteras porque se prometió una compañera de los mundos que protegen los Merlzhen.
La Tierra es una de nuestras últimas paradas. No me negarán solo porque pueda cambiar completamente a dragón.
Zoe
Cuando el cielo se llena de estrellas fugaces, y aterrizan no muy lejos de mí, dejo todo para echar un vistazo. Espero conseguir uno para poder venderlo por una fortuna. Pero no encuentro un meteorito, ni siquiera un trozo de basura espacial. Es un dragón ... ¿o es un hombre?
Sea lo que sea, ahora estamos huyendo.
Mí humilde opinión:
Este fue un libro que disfruté de principio a fin. Es un romance de ciencia ficción que tiene un alien que es cambiante de dragón.
Los Merlzhen defendían la Tierra de los Fomuri por lo que cada cien años, como pago, se les permitía regresar y reclamar veinticinco mujeres. Estaban los que podían convertirse en dragón como Bleiz y otros que no. A los que eran como Bleiz se les llamaban bestias y no eran aceptados, por lo que en algunos mundo no les dejaban reclamar una mujer.
Sin embargo, por su buen comportamiento en la nave, el nombre de Bleiz aparece en la lista entre los que bajarán a la tierra para la caza de compañeras. Él no puede creerlo y está feliz de que por fin ha llegado su oportunidad de encontrar a su pareja compatible.
Cuando llega a la tierra se encuentra con Zoe o mejor dicho ella lo encuentra a él, desnudo como vino al mundo, era una escena tipo Terminator tras viajar en el tiempo.
Enseguida son blanco de los Fomuri y se dan cuenta de que estos aliens enemigos están camuflados entre los humanos, policías y militares, planeando la destrucción del planeta tierra.
Deciciones deben tomarse, Zoe quiere ser la pareja de por vida de un alien, uno que puede convertirse en dragón? Quiere dejar su planeta y dejar todo lo que conoce? Si Zoe rechaza a Bleiz, él deberá ir a buscar otra pareja compatible. Cómo podría hacerlo cuando ya quiere a Zoe? Pero su tiempo está corriendo...
Una lucha está comenzando, los Fomuri quieren apoderarse de la tierra y solo Bleiz y sus compañeros pueden detenerlos. Será demasiado tarde ya?
Con mucha aventura, humor, tórrido romance, mitología y magia este comienzo de serie de Riley Onyx fue muy entretenido y fresco.
No son muchas las veces que los protagonistas me caen bien a la primera pero Bleiz y Zoe simplemente hicieron click. Ambos encontraron en el otro la razón para un nuevo comienzo. Simpatice enseguida con ambos. Me encantó la facilidad que se estableció entre ellos y la camaderia.
Zoe era una heroína divertida, su vida no estaba en su mejor momento y me gustó lo valiente, decidida y optimista que era. Me gustó también que ella entendiera la situación de Bleiz y aunque él era un alien, no le dio muchas vueltas y aceptó las cosas sin ponerse loca.
Bleiz fue un personaje muy lindo. Me gustaron todas sus características físicas. Era adorable y lo era aún más porque era el rechazado por todos los de su especie. Yo decía, pero cómo? Es malditamente genial que pueda convertirse en dragón!
El libro en general estuvo muy bien por lo que cuando llegué al final me di cuenta de que solo era el principio! Quiero saber más de este mundo...
Quiero la continuación yaaaa!!!

I enjoyed the premise of this book series. It’s funny to blame global warming and other issues on aliens. Both MCs were relatable and personable, although I would have appreciated more time to get to know each of them. But it was a novella, so that’s expected.

well I liked a lot but it dragged and abruptly ended
well I liked the story line a lot. but it dragged on and then without resolution abruptly ended, leading into a different character story but there was no resolution to the first two mates, story. I’m assuming that they are going to do several books bringing multiple characters together in final book for the final showdown but honestly I do not like series like that. I want each couple to have a angst get together and a resolution but opens into other characters I. Other books that each have a get together/angst then battle then resolution that moves into a final book where all characters come together for the final showdown battle! No one does it better than Zoe chant . I think Riley Oynx should read a few. But the thing is RILEY ONYX DID NOT USED TO WRITE BOOKS THIS WAY.. unless this is one of her older series and she changed her methods after this series. I have read other Riley onyx’s series before and they were well written with each couple getting a HEA and a resolution per each book in series
So this confuses me. I’ll read next book in series. Hoping for the better.

What? Tons of typos. There’s no HEA or HFN. It ends very abruptly and on something akin to a cliffhanger. But this is the couple’s only book. The series goes on to different couples. So you get basically no resolution to their relationship.
It’s a short book and the concept is cool and interesting. So it’s a quick and fun read. But there’s not much to it. It’s kind of to the point. I think the story would have been better as a series following the same couple. As it is, the ending is extremely disappointing

Very enjoyable read! I especially like how the legend of Arthur and Camelot has been integrated, definitely a pleasant surprise. I would have loved for the book to be a bit longer just so that we have more of Zoe and Bleiz.
The book would also benefit from another around of editing as there were typos and extra words that did not belong. Nonetheless, the plot interests me and I will continue the series~

Sort of a cliffhanger.
Definitely lately book one of a series.
But I will assume the series has a book for each mate hunter that landed on earth and how they address the other aliens on earth.
Not very spicy. Not very romantic. Maybe an adventure story?
Its fine, I won't run to get the next book. but I would read it if I fell in my lap.

I’m not spelling or grammar wiz. So when your editing bothers me it’s really bad. Coupled with the logic wholes and the plot gaps … this is a first draft that needed to be polished, refined and edited a few times before publishing.

The Beast: alien dragon shifter romance (Mate Hunt Book 1) by Riley Onyx – I think a lady who goes chasing falling stars instead of delivering pizza is the perfect candidate for alien romances lol! Happy Reading!

Good story. I liked the King Arthur legend stuff. The book definitely needs better editing though but the writing was good enough for me to want to read the next book in the series.

Mythology with a sci-fi twist The Beast grabs you from chapter one and does not let you go. Belize is a dragon shifter from the race of Merlzhen. He is tasked with finding a mate on earth. Zoe, a down on her luck ex-teacher follows what she thinks is a meteor and discovers Beliz. From there, it is a world wind adventure filled with intrigue and romance. This looks like it will be a series which I am hoping we will not to have to wait too long for the next book. Excellent read! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
