What did I think of this one... hmmm...
Kidding. I thought it was well-plotted, well written, very steamy, and so much insanity! I can explain.
Well-plotted because the flow of events didn't feel forced or over the top.
Well written because it's beautiful and full of voice. Every character is unique and it's not a bunch of the same voice between characters.
Steamy... you know... It's an obvious factor. There is heat. But not so much that it's unbearable to read this book in a public venue, but not so absent that there feels like something is missing. It's the perfect temperature. Enough heat to feel warm on a cold day, like sunbathing in spring... And even better, each of the characters had their own voice here. Certain ones would like certain things, and you knew they were different beyond just the way it read... Didn't make it any less spicy.
And insanity... it comes down to having Thalia decide between two men. One, Rob, a pompous British professor, who, once you get to know him, isn't quite reserved and pompous. The other was Josh, another professor, who was a former family man and a dad. Both worlds different and yet both are the potential love of her life. That, and I have issues with anyone named Josh being a romantic lead, that's my own personal issue that no one can fix. LOL
So, who would Thalia choose? And why can the one man I want to win be the one? Because I do have a clear choice in my head. I really don't want to see the other guy heartbroken... All I know is that this story left me wanting so much more. Thankfully, there is a book 2... I NEED ANSWERS!!! STAT!!!
As though this is a hospital drama...
Anyway, would I recommend this book? Absolutely. If you're looking for something steamy, yes, please read. If you're searching for something with more depth in a love story, yes, please read. It's really good. Really addictive. And really makes you want to scream in frustration in a good way.
I did my best to keep this spoiler-free... which is not an easy thing to do since I want to talk it all out with someone. Please read, enjoy, and feel free to hit me up should you ever want to discuss.
