Underworld #1-8

Underworld: The Complete Series

Rate this book
1. Ivan: A Dark Mafia Romance – If you liked Callum and Aida in "Brutal Prince" then you will love Ivan and Sloane. She is a fierce lady assassin tasked with taking down a Bratva Boss Ivan. Their banter and heat level is off the charts. Ivan is my forever book boyfriend

2. Snow: A Dark Mafia Romance – Sasha and Snow are a secret favorite... He fights for her like no other hero I have ever written. Don't miss this love story!

3. Roman: An Enemies To Lovers Mafia Romance – My first bully-lite romance. This one takes a minute to get going but Roman and Mila come together hard...

4. Ash: A Dark Mafia Romance – Ivan's little brother Dom is forced into an intense love with Lara. Look for the bonus epilogue with cameos from Ivan, Sloane, Sasha, and Snow.

5. Anton: A Mafia Romance – The Bratva have plans for this sweet and innocent nightclub singer Violet...

6. Crimson: A Mafia Romance – A Mafia Romeo and Princess Juliet story

7. Luca: A Heist Romance – My first heist romance. Lex is a strong character (like Sloane) and is being chased by two love interests and the mafia.

8. Black: A Friends To Lovers Romance – Byron Black must stop a terrorist before he blows up London and his friends to lovers heroine Holly.

"Underworld" is an action-packed, supremely sexy romance series, full of thieves, detectives, mafia princesses, and Bratva bad boys. Each book is a stand-alone and can be read independently. However, if you read in order, you'll find hidden connections to make the story even more fun. There's no cheating or cliffhangers, but there are plenty of spicy scenes, including rough sex and spanking. Many characters will return in Kingmakers as well...

4.4 Colors of Crime Stars!

I really enjoyed this series and the books individually, but for some reason, the order of in this collection is all wrong as far as the chronological AND publication order. Books 1-4 should be read AFTER books 5-8 {The events in *Violet* (book 5) occur before the events in *Ink* (book 3)}. So, they should have been in this order: *Sapphire* [Oct 2019], *Black* [Nov 2019], *Violet* [Dec 2019], *Crimson* [Jan 2020], *Emerald* [Feb 2020], *Snow* [Mar 2020], *Ink* [May 2020], *Ash* [Jun 2020]. I can't imagine WHY they were ordered the way they are in this collection, or why they're ordered the same way in Goodreads (especially when the blurb for this collection states that they should be read in order to get the maximum enjoyment from them). Because of how they're ordered, there are spoilers for books that should have been read first.

I reviewed each of these books on their own book pages, but will say here, that I really enjoyed these stories, and highly recommend this collection to anyone who enjoys romance. These stories aren't overly dark and violent, although they can get pretty close at times. I would just recommend reading in the order I stated above.

If you are looking for a “Dark Mafia Romance” to read, then this magnificent collection (with eight absolutely, fascinating standalone books in it), is definitely worth reading. All the storylines are well-thought & written with intriguing action-packed plots & have outstanding scene descriptions with good world building. The characters are all individually unique & realistically flawed.

Violet: Colors of Crime #3
This is an interesting mafia romance with a mild mythology undertone. The complex characters are quite well-developed & portray realistic emotional feelings although one of them is quite naïve in the beginning of the story but continues to mature throughout the story-line.
It is about: a talented young female singer (Violet) is noticed by a second-in-command Bratva boss (Anton) & is promptly abducted by him when his boss (Viktor Turgenev) orders the abduction.
There is: twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, Russian Bratva, secrets, mystery, family issues, adventure, action, attractions, longings, threats, danger, violence, conflict, deceit, betrayal, death, murder, abduction, discovery, warnings, alliances, manipulations, confrontations, protectiveness, contentment, happiness, love, some steam & a satisfying conclusion.

Crimson: Colors of Crime #4
This is an intriguing mafia romance has a slow-burn love story to it The main characters are well-developed & some of them exhibit devious intentions in order to get their goals while another character tries to adjust in a new & unfamiliar world filled with secrets.
It is about: a young woman (Nadia) travels to Moscow to discover the truth about a mystery in her mother’s journal but does not realize the consequences of her actions until a Bratva boss (Nikolai) decides to claim her so that there will be an end to the feuding between two families that have been enemies for a decades, her detestable fiancé (Maxim), Nikolai’s manipulative father (Zavier).
There is: adventure, intrigue, drama, suspense, twists & turns, Bratva mafia, feuds, rivalry, action, mystery, secrets, mystery, deceit, betrayal, enemies, heartache, confrontations, suspicions, attractions, devious plans, obsession, manipulations, guilt, regrets, vulnerability, discovery, realization, love, mild kink, steamy scenes, contentment & a well-deserved happy conclusion.

Snow: Colors of Crime #6
This is a splendid bratva/mafia romance & it was a pleasure to read even though I am not very enthusiastic about any kind of sport. The well-developed characters are likable & continue to develop throughout the story-line.
It is about: a virginal young female doctor (Sasha) is trapped by a Bratva Boss (Krupin) who has a devious plans to sell her but a male boxer (Snow) has a different plan in mind for her & makes a deal with Krupin.
There is: Bratva/mafia, boxers, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, family issues, adventure, action, attractions, longings, ultimatums, threats, danger, violence, conflict, brutality, death, murder, manipulations, humiliation, confrontations, protectiveness, compromises, contentment, happiness, love, some steam & a satisfying conclusion.
I would definitely recommend this mafia romance series collection to people who enjoy reading this genre & look forward to future books from this author.

The Colors of Crime Boxset includes 8 stories: Emerald, Snow, Ink, Ash, Sapphire, Black, Violet and Crimson.

Emerald:
Emerald is my first novel by Sophie Lark and I enjoyed it. This Bratva mafia romance held my interest from beginning to end with its non stop action, fascinating characters and interesting storyline. I loved Ivan and Sloane together and I enjoyed going on this adventure with them. They were perfectly matched and you could just feel the connection between them from the start . This story was fast-paced, original and highly-entertaining. It was well-written and layered and draws you into the tangled web the author weaves. With drama, tension, intrigue and suspense this novel will have you at the edge of your seat. I enjoyed and would highly recommend it to all lovers of mafia romance.

Snow, was a suspenseful intense novel that will hold your interest until the end. This was a Bratva/Boxing story with hott steamy scenes, violence, action and suspense. Snow and Sasha had an instant connection when they met with undeniable chemistry and I enjoyed seeing their relationship evolve. Snow is the 6th book in the Colors of Crime series and the author did an excellent job with world building, bringing us into the world of the Russian MMA and the realities of the Bratva. I enjoyed this engrossing, well-developed, page-turner with all its tangled twists and turns and I would recommend this novel to all lovers of mafia romance.

Ink, included enemies to lovers, bully romance and mafia romance all in one story. It was suspenseful, steamy and entertaining and I was hooked until the end.
The love/hate relationship between Mila and Roman from high school soon turned to lust and I enjoyed seeing the progression of their relationship all these years later. The story is given to us in dual POV and we get to see into the mind of both characters. It was a fast paced, quick read and I enjoyed it and would recommend it to all lovers of enemies to lovers romance.

Ash, was engrossing, action packed, swoony and highly entertaining. This was Lara and Dom's story. These two were so perfectly together. I loved how their relationship developed, and how patient, caring and respectful he was with her. From the start they had intense chemistry and their steamy scenes were hott.
The story was filled with angst, drama, romance, brotherhood with some twists and turns I wasn't expecting, and it all had me hooked until the end. It was more focused on the family side of the Bratva and not too much on the dark side. I loved the appearance of Ivan and Sloane, they along with the other secondary characters added a level of humor to the story and helped to more it along. Ash was a fantastic addition to the Colors of Crime series. I enjoyed it and would recommend it all lovers of mafia romance.

I'm loving each book in this so far and I can't wait to dive into the rest. I would highly recommend this boxset to all lovers of mafia romance.

Eight full length Bratva/Mafia romances. I have never read anything from Sophie Lark before, but I will be reading more! I loved every one of these books. I read them back-to-back, some had secondary characters from the other stories. They are each a complete story with no cliffhangers. The females are all strong but not annoying. The males are all alpha, but not annoying. I loved everything about these books, and I normally don’t read this genre.

Well done, Lark

I’d been looking for some good stories to read. I wanted intelligent conversations, understandable emotions. I wanted strong characters well defined. Different locales, things we don’t see or hear about in the ordinary rom-com. Then I found Sophie Lark. And I found the best stories I’ve read in a long, long time. I’ve read thousands of books; I’d put Ms Larks stories in the Best 10%.

This is an amazing Boxset. I am a mega fan of Sophie Lark's work and this boxset is just brilliant
here are a few of my favourites!!!
Ash
OUTSTANDING READ 10/10
Ash is the last book in the series Colors of Crime
Dom is in the Bratva, his brother Ivan is the leader Who we have met before in Emerald. They are moving drugs when they come under attach from the police. Dom and his two bratva brothers have to make a run for it. One was shot but was ok. But they needed to get there drugs back and show the new commissioner not to mess with them. So plan an attack on the police station. And this is where Dom gets his first look at the commissioners daughter Lara. She is beautiful and there is something about her, making him want to protect her but he must think of the Bratva first.
Lara felt like she was a prisoner. Her papa wouldn't let her leave the flat, he brings her paints and refuses to even think of her going out. But its the policeman's ball and he must attend so he takes her to the police station to be babysat!!! She understood but it didnt make it any easier.
When the police station comes under attack, the men quickly work out who she is and they use her to make a point. When the commissioner final talks to Lara after weeks of being lost in herself he agrees to let her out but only close by and always home before 4
But Dom cant stop thinking of her and starts to follow her. When something happens that gets them talking , Dom jumps in with both feet. But what would her papa say if he knew Lara was involved with a member of the Bratva?? The Bratva he is trying to take down!! Or is the more to Lara's story??? Could there be a reason she was a prisoner in her own home????
The connection between them is brilliant its electric. It makes you feel alive just reading their story. The chemistry is hot but its so much more than that. Its the trust and patience. OMG this book is just outstanding!!! I couldnt put this book down but that's been with most of this series and im really going to miss these guys. It was great seeing Sloane and Ivan too And see that their banter is still going strong!!!
A MAAZZZZ INNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Snow
This is so good. You will be hook!!!
Sasha is returning to St Petersburg after completing her training to become a doctor, she was so happy that she had finished in the top 10 % of her class.
But when she first saw her dad she knew something was wrong. He looked thinner, stressed and older. And when she asked to go to the family restaurant that used to be so busy it was like a ghost town. There were only a couple of people eating and the place looked run down. What had happened which she was away at school???? When she had finished her meal two men came in tell her father he need to pay as he was already behind on payments Sasha had to say something. It didnt go down well. They were from the Bratva.
When they got home her dad explains everything and there is no way out!!.
Snow was a unground boxer. He would go to these fight organised by Bratva and so far he had no loses. One night while he was walking through the warehouse where the fights were happen he spotted a beautiful young lady who looked so out of place. Who was she?? What was she doing here??
He found out when he was sent to see the doctor to get a cut above his eye Stitched. BUT what was her story?
When Sasha first went to the boxing that was being held in the warehouse she was horrified but when she spotted Snow all she felt was heat!! Who was this man??
This is a fantastic story ive been pretty vague with the storyline because I want you to enjoy the book with no bias. You are going to be blown away with the storyline and the chemistry between Snow and Sasha. its dreamy but this is also a thriller OMG its sooooo good
Ink
OH this is such a lush read
Roman and Mila didnt have the best time at school. Roman didnt like the fact that Mila showed him up on the slopes so he made her life hell at school. He was such a bully. So when they bumped into one another one day 5 years later it doesn't go well. But it seems like fate has its own ideas.
Roman is now part of the Bratva with his sister Violet who he didnt know anything about growing up. Their father was killed leaving them in charge and together they are building the Casino Vivre
Mila who we met in the previous book called Snow has just got a job as a reported and of course her first job is to get the inside story of Roman and the new Casino. Which might be a problem as they cant seem to speak to each other without starting a row ( over what we never really know)
But this soon turns into a enemy to lovers read.
OMG I loved these two. I just found their banter brilliant it make me smile and laugh out loud. There was just something about these two. I knew within the first chapter I was going to love this book. Another fantastic read from Sophie Lark. This series is just amazing.
You will not be disappointed in this boxset its just brilliant!!

Love the series though I've only been able to read 3 of the books in this series Ink,Ash, and Violet but I cant wait to read all the others in the series and I would definitely buy the box set especially if your into crime, romance strong females and dark men with and edge of danger.

(Ash)
Dominic and Lara have a difficult first meeting well kidnapping. There romance isn't easy hes over bearing protective and part of the mob major Alpha who will do anything for the women he loves. Lara is sweet and brings out the best in Dom he gives her strength when she needs it plenty of twists and secrets another good read by this Author.

(Violet)
Violet Black had a ruff childhood but now as and adult all she cares about is music but it dosen't pay the Bill's so she sings in a nightclub owned by the Russian Mob. Violet is having a bad day her money is gone her guitar stolen and now the head Russian mob boss in Paris has taken and interest in her he knows a secret about her. Now she's been kidnapped and taken to Paris and the secret could get her killed because everyone knows that when your at the top theres always someone who wants to bring you down.

Anton Vasily dose what hes told and when he sees Violet he wants her but now his boss is having him watch her there can be know future for them if the secret is true but he will have to protect Violet when things get dangerous with dirty mobsters and vindictive family you never know who you can trust.

(Ink)
I just love this series I first read about Roman Turgenev in the book titled Violet in that book she discovered she had a past tied to the Paris Mafia Russian Bratva and her father was the leader she fell in love with Anton first lutenit to her father her brother Roman was not pleased to have a half sister but eventually they came to care about each other as a family should only in a bloody murderous plot kind away. I always wondered what happened to the family after her fathers was murdered and now we find out more about Roman this time.

Romans very dark and intense hes learned to control his temper better except for one women Mila only she was just a girl when they first met. Roman and his sister and Anton the only remaining family left are trying to go strait but being who they are there's always enemies and then there's Roman's perfect match in everything Mila and they hate each other or do they.

Mila has know love for the Russian mob from her formative years in a prestigious Academy were she meet Roman he tormented her then years later her mother caused more chaos with the Bratva. And as for Roman she couldn't stand him funny thing was they both secretly wanted each other. Now in Paris Mila is doing a piece on Roman and there empire legal or otherwise but what she discovers along the way is corruption, in the highest ranks of society and government one that can lead to her death and a man both passionate and possessive of her

Roman they may have started out enemies but they can't keep there hands of each other now. Will Roman and his sister be able to go straight will there fathers dream of a casino happen or will his enemy take it and the women he loves from him. This was by far my favorite and I cant wait till I can dig into the rest of these books.

I read the last three books in this series as they were released. They're all well-written with intriguing stories and interesting characters, and have moved this author to my must-read list.

Snow - Sasha seller her soul to the devil. Well, close enough... Anatoly Krupin, a Bratva bass, owns her for 20 year as his personal physician, in exchange for her father's debts being erased. Snow is a heavy-weight underground boxer with a goal to leave Russia for the US. She's small and sweet, a contrast to him being huge and cold. But there's a little warmth deep inside of him, and she brings it out, Holy cow - what an incredible book! This book has it all - the Bratva, crime, romance, gambling, boxing, suspense, murder. My adrenaline was pumping during that last fight. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter are so appropriate for what happens in the chapter. This is my first book in this series, but the third from this author. It's amazing that all the books I've read are so different, and all have provided incredible reading.

Ink - She's beautiful, intelligent, fearless. He's sexy, smart, arrogant. She hates him. He hates her. They can't stop thinking about each other. Mila and Roman attend secondary school together, but they are never friends. After college, she gets a job as a journalist in Paris. Her first assignment - a story on the upcoming opening of his casino. She's ready to dig up and dish all the dirt she can find. He's not the only one with secrets. This was a wonderful book. I didn't read the earlier books in this series, but started with Snow (book 6). My impression of Mila from that reading was of her being spoiled and immature. She's certainly grown up. The banter between Roman and Mila is witty and amusing. And omg... the sex between them is just explosive! So much action, so much suspense, so many plot twists... I couldn't put this book down once I started reading.

Ash - Lara is sweet and artistic. Dom is strong and possessive. Lara's father is the police chief, honest to a fault. Dom is from the most feared of all Bratva families. But he's not the only one with secrets. They're both broken, in different ways. This story is intense and emotional, with enough action that it kept me on the edge of my seat at times. It never dragged, holding my interest so that I read it in one day. I picked up this series starting at Snow, then read Ink and then Ash. And all I can say is holy cow - this author is incredible!

Oh what a feast of reading, I have read all these books and loved them all, I really didn't want them to finish.
Sophie Lark has managed to put so much edge of your seat action and so much sizzling romance into each and every book, they are all stories about the Russian mafia or Bratva but not all are set in Russia, each has a strong, dominant male, the characters are all fantastic and the authors attention to detail makes them all likable despite their backgrounds
I didn't read them in order perhaps I should have but it didn't make any difference as they are all standalone.
The last one I read was Ink. Roman Turgenev was to become the head of the high rated Turgenev Bratva in Paris. Mila Drozdov was to become a reporter in Paris. Roman was wealthy and Mila was poor, her family had been cheated out of it's fortune by another Bratva family.
Roman and Mila attended the same school in Russia , he was hateful to her, humiliating her at every opportunity.
Five year later the story that unfolds in Paris is one of hate turning to love between Mila and Roman after a very aggressive start and Roman's attempt to go straight and build a high class hotel as promised to his late father. This was to be thwarted in the most extreme way by Hugo Renard, a wealthy banker and enemy of Roman.
The tension and the love are almost palpable, the action is fast and furious. Sophie Lark has captured the atmosphere of the Bratva families and has obviously done a lot of research, a well earned five stars.

Excellent! Sophie delivers once again tilting our world on its axis with this sensational bundle, presenting one action packed hard hitting nail-biting block busting thrill, launching this incredible collection to life flawlessly. A surging multitude of tangled mishaps and dubious events showcase the grueling trials and heart pounding triumphs, stumbling through the dramatic twists and intricate turns, hooking you from the start and reeling you in for the duration. Every story is incredibly thrilling and beautifully composed with separate plots, desires, passion and destinations, each one is different and unique, baring such exuberance and fervor, leading our characters deeper, drawing them closer than they could have ever envisioned. The magnetism, attraction and chemistry collides with such intensity, unveiling such profound emotions, drawing our characters closer binding them to one another beautifully. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits adding depth and diversity, transforming into genuine formidable personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Sophie, thanks for sharing this fabulous collection with us.

Emerald

This is the first I’ve read of this author. Now I’m
A little confuses as the reading order on good reads differs from the reading order in the collection nonetheless it’s a good start to what I hope is going to be a great story line. It has me intrigued

Snow

I quite enjoyed this one. I thought it was going to be predictable but there was giraffes and not zebras!

Ink

I’m definitely digging this series. Borderline non-con but that’s about the darkest thing in this one. My interest is peaked about Anton and Violet. This books leads me to believe that Anton’s story will be truly dark!

Ash

This was unexpected. I thought she was going to zig but she zagged and I really liked these main characters

Sapphire

I’m not too sure how I feel about this one. The beginning sucked me in and I was hooked but then it just kind of fizzled out for me.

Black

Although this one I found highly predictable I still loved it and couldn’t wait to turn every page

Violet

Loved this one!! Shadows of darkness, twists and turns, deceit and forbidden sex equals I couldn’t put it down.

Crimson

I loved this one. Predictable but so satisfying to follow the twists and turns and feel the anticipation to flip each page to find out if I’m right!

Color Me Happy with Colors of Crime

Well color me happy with this complete box set of Colors of Crime!!! This contains the 8 fantastic books of the series - Emerald, Snow, Ink, Ash, Sapphire, Black, Violet and Crimson. Each of these books is a intense tale of Mafia, suspense, mystery, action, secrets, assassinations, Russia, drama and a whole lot of twists and turns so you get dizzy. But there are also deep connections and love in this world that Sophie Lark has immersed the reader in.
I started reading and reviewing the books in this connection when it as already a few in. So I am excited now that this complete series box set is available and I can read the first three books that I had missed. BTW - the author has reordered the sequence of the books in the series, not sure why but she did so you just have to go with it. I think it might have to do with the overarching plot that is woven through the books.
The books that I had read were a mix of fantastic to good. But each was a wild ride that I enjoyed.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

At first Lark's concise way of writing was a bit jarring, but the more I read the more I fell in love with her no nonsense style. These stories are short (not novella length but shorter than your average romance novel) and to the point, meaning that we get all the good stuff and none of the filler.

Mafia romances aren't my typically go-to as far as romance novels go, but I absolutely love romance involving big powerful, take no shits men and the women who bring them to their knees, so this entire series was right up my alley.

I won't break down a review of each book. There are some I absolutely salivated over and others that were entertaining but not favorites. In the end though, this was an awesome series that I read over three nights and it definitely got me out of my reading slump. The perfect book to read if you only have an hour before bed and want to go to sleep on time.

Can't beat it for the price (especially if you have KU).

Colors of Crime shows just why readers can’t help but sing the praises of author Sophie Lark. The series is a collection of hate to love stories that are sure to capture some part of you. Her writing draws you in almost immediately and takes you on an empirical ride into her imagination and deep into the sometimes dark lives of her characters. From high society to the seedy underbelly of some of the most well know cities in the world, there is something for everyone. The characters are well rounded and relatable even if the situations are not always so. Best of all, she writes strong female characters that are powerful on their own without the need of a man. Meanwhile, she writes male characters that could make even the coldest heart swoon. Add to this the HEAs and what more could you ask for?! This is a series I know that I will read again.

I received a free copy of this book courtesy of the author Sophie Lark in exchange for my honest review.

An amazing complete collection of Dark Mafia Romances. The entire Colors of Crime series is phenomenal. This series is full of powerhouse couples that you can easily fall in love with. They contain drama, suspense, romance, action, and really hot bedroom scenes. Every book that I have read from Sophie Lark has been read in one sitting because I just can't put them down. Her writing and story telling are absolutely amazing. I love her attention to detail and that it is not excessively done. She will have you hooked from the very beginning. She has a way of creating characters that you instantly connect to and stories that make you feel like you are right there in the midst of it. She is able to bring every character to life and each one ties in perfectly with the story.
Each book is unique with exciting, well written story-lines and plots that will draw you straight in.

This is a MUST read series that you don't want to miss.

Note from another reader {Thanks for sharing this!}
I really enjoyed this series and the books individually, but for some reason, the order of in this collection is all wrong as far as the chronological AND publication order.

Decided to read the Underworld series because I was curious about Snow's character from the Kingmakers series by Lark. His story was second or third, after Ivan's, who I enjoyed more than I anticipated. He and Sloane were very well-rounded characters. I wish the publication had been chronological, as I had to go back and forth between books within my Kindle. Maybe this was a formatting error? Having a jumbled timeline made it too difficult to follow if you attempt to go through the book as printed.

Some of the stories and action becomes redundant, but overall these are enjoyable and non-stressful to read. (Sometimes you wanna challenge yourself, and sometimes your just wanna relax, ya know?) Be warned if you have triggers: the smut scenes dabble in BDSM, assumed consent, and virgin fetishization. It won't be every scene, but enough that they're worth noting.

Each book is different in their own way. Not like some series that once you've read one you might as well have read them all. The plots are well thought out and attention grabbing. I did without so much sleep while reading these books because I didn't want to put them down. They are filled with powerful, alpha men. They aren't perfect and they do make mistakes but man oh man do they make up for all of that by loving and protecting their women with a fierceness not to be reckoned with. They are loyal to a fault and sexy as ever. The women aren't push overs or weaklings. After all, it takes strong women to be an equal to these men. I definitely recommend this boxset because in my opinion you won't be disappointed.

This series was great! It keeps you on the edge of your seat and you can’t wait to get to the next book. I understand why Sophie changed the order of the books in this series when she changed the name from Colors of Crime to Underworld. She moved the best ones to the front! My favorites were Ivan, Dom and Snow. I read Sophie’s two other series (Brutal Birthright and Kingmakers) before most of the underworld series. I did read the first 4 books in Underworld before finishing Kingmakers per Sophie’s suggestion since the characters in those books appear in Kingmakers. I love how the characters from both the Brutal Birthright series and the Underworld series are referenced or appear in Kingmakers. Sophie, your writing just keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Love the books, revise the reading order!

I happened to come across the Kingmakers series and absolutely LOVED every book so I looked up the appropriate reading order for the first series she wrote and intended to start reading about how it all started with Kingmakers with Underworld. While I did enjoy the books, almost every single one gave away the ending for a different book in the series! It’s like someone carelessly asking if you can believe the hero dies in the end of a new book you’re excited to read! Some crossover giveaway was expected because a few of the parents were referenced in Kingmakers, but she unnecessarily gave away the entire ending multiple times with the reading order!

4.5 stars! A Great Mafia/Bratva Collection!

Colors of Crime: The Complete Series by Sophie Lark compounds all eight full lenght novels in this collection and a great read for mafia/bratva lovers! All books are standalones, with their own plots, but family entwined characters. Extremelly well written, it imposes the reader's attention on the first book until the last, it's accurate, gripping and believable! This was my introduction to Sophie Lark's world and I've been hooked since then. Each book reigns in its own originality as such as you read one, you will be wanting to read the others! So good they are available in a box set!!!
Definitively a must read!

This is a not to be missed series! though each can be read alone there are some overlapping characters- but who would want to miss one of these hot reads anyway! Delve deep into the criminal underworld (literally all over the world- from London to France and Russia and more!) Meet the men controlling these criminal worlds and the woman who control their hearts. With Action, violence, wit, desire, trust, betrayals, secrets, love and more you'll be set for hours of laughter, hear ache and love with this incredible series!

Intriguing, sexy, steamy, dangerous, thought provoking series on the men in and around the Bratva and the strong women that they fall in love with. Each story different than the other but the hot, hot, steamy sex scenes were off the chart. None of the books had a typical romance. Each one seemed so unreal. But the emotions, the feelings, the actions, the reactions all had my complete attention. So very realistic is this fictional setting. A good read. Recommended.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Action-packed
Easy-to-read
Entertaining
Informative
Original
Page-turner
Steamy
Tragic
Unpredictable
Wonderful characters
