Loved this story about Vanessa, human, and Krag, Sanax. Vanessa recently returned to Earth and got a corporation job working for Krag. Complaining about the pay discrimination with the other women. She asked by a co-worker to fix a computer glitch in the system, which she fixes. This action is reported by Loth to Krag who decides to maybe introduce himself. After work Vanessa and her co-workers decide to go to a bar to vent and blow off steam. During their venting, Vanessa brings up that they should strike which the co-workers agree. Krag who thinks humans are dumb is having a hard time convincing the Earth people to go completely digital instead of currency in his dealings. Earth people are afraid the Sanax will take over Earth. Vanessa starts a strike which brings her to his office and the negotiations begins. Will they find a compromise? This is another well written alien romance with touches of humor, steamy attraction, and drama I enjoyed reading from her previous written books. Vanessa, our leading lady, is super smart, super sassy, and so very funny. She truly is someone I would have loved to be friends with. Kral, her sizzling hottie alien boss, notices her when she leads a strike against their company to get better pay and work conditions. The fireworks start shooting almost from the first moment these two strong-willed characters get together. It was and amazing story to read. It had funny moments that had me laughing out loud (to my husband's raised eyebrows). The author did a great job fleshing out both characters and the overarching story line of sabotage and intrigue that had to be solved while Vanessa and Kral butted heads straight into their HEA. Totally recommend this story. Worth all five stars. Celeste King is a new-to-me author whose work I am definitely following from now on.

This was such a fun read! I really enjoyed how their romance unfolded, and yeah, her sass ;) It's full of humour, drama, action, serious topics like pay equality, and enough steam to burn up your reader. And lets not forget the bad guy...yikes! It moved smoothly and yet with a fast pace and entertained with fun side characters. All great things that keep me coming back for more from this author :)

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This story is about Vanessa and Kral. Vanessa is sassy, smart, courageous, confidence, strength, while Kral is gorgeous, dominate, alpha alien male and grumpy. Their was times they argue over working conditions, at times you had a little giggle while reading. The chemistry was hot between now the fun begins.

Hilariously funny and thoroughly entertaining I loved this naughty little read!
Human Vanessa has rounded up her fellow human and alien female co-workers to organize a strike for better wages against their Sanax Boss Kral and his company.
Kral and Vanessa’s first meeting had me in stitches as I didn’t see THAT coming!
Excellent writing and a well told narrative bring this fun fest alive.
Throw in some suspenseful action and hot tamale (REAL HOT) lovin’ and we have a tale that’s going in the TBR again pile, a definite keeper. Highly recommended!!!

Suddenly I see
This was such a fantastic story! I love the take charge attitude of Vanessa and the women who have her back, and the grumpiness of Kral. These two really put a brand new twist to heating up the boardroom. Their story unfolded slowly but surely, with some nasty bad guys thrown in to keep the book exciting and the danger level high. I love how one man's love can turn the tide of almost any negotiations. This book was well worth the purchase and I can't wait to see what the author brings us next.

Hot Combo: Alien + Office Romance

Sci-fi romances can be just a bit of fun fluff, but they can also include a comment on social issues. I liked how this story by Ms. King touches on pay equality between men and women and issues of xenophobia.
Plus, the chemistry between Vanessa and Kral is super duper hot! And oh boy, the “bad guy” in this story is one infuriating snivelling little weasel - he made my blood boil! A great story overall.

Wow!

Well that was interesting! Not at all what I was expecting either. This story was so steamy it burnt my fingers a couple of times. Vanessa and Kral had sparks flying of the pages from the first time they met. A more matched, kinky pair than even they knew. Wow.

So much fun! Kral was rather fun as the grumpy, moody boss! And then he had to contend with Vanessa and her sassy character. They were so good together and stuck through thick and thin. A great couple tackling all that was thrown at them. Did not like the sleazy Hunter but he got his just deserts in the end. I hope we get to enjoy more of these 'mating's'.

What can you say about this one? Gotta love a handsome grump who gets his rude awakening. Kral is stuck seeing the world one way but somehow Vanessa seems to get through to him. It is easy to dismiss those who are smaller than you as weak, stupid and expendable until you realise that those very things makes them a far more formiable enemy that you realised. The women are being paid less and working more (history repeats itself) and yet they are taken for granted. Vanessa has had enough and is prepared to make a stand and that very act brings her to the notice of Kral. They have very differing views of the world but as he starts to care for Vanessa he also starts to see what she has been trying to show him.

Not my cup of tea. Vanessa works for a Sanax boss named Kral at the First Intergalactic Bank. He is trying to get all the banks on Earth to go digital, no paper money. He also seems to think that male workers are superior to female workers and so he does not pay equal wages to the women workers. Vanessa and her co-workers arrange a strike to negotiate raises. When they are taken to Kral’s office they think they have won. Instead, Kral grabs Vanessa, puts her over his lap, pulls her skirt up and begins to spank her in front of everyone. This supposedly turns both of them on and when he is finished, he sends everyone else out and then Kral and Vanessa have sex. The story and characters were interesting but I could not relate to them. I have read other books by this author I have enjoyed much better.

First of all, I wish Goodreads let you give half stars. I officially give this 3-1/2 stars. And I’ll preface this by saying that romance is not of my preferred genres. I’m pretty particular in my tastes and what I look for in a romance. And this one is decent. If you are looking for spice, and don’t care about much else, this is a good book to read. It’s short, sweet, and wastes no time getting to the good stuff. And I like the characters. But I wish the story, and the characters, were more fleshed out (so to speak 😉). It’s all a little too fast and convenient for me. The twist also wasn’t a surprise. But still a short, fun read. I’d definitely pick up another one of her books if I was in the mood, now that I know what I’m getting.

The Sanax came to earth not to make war but to try to control and change our money and Kral is in charge of the first intergalactic bank on earth where the males treat the women like sexual things but there is one human female Vanessa who’s very important at the bank she works with computers and when the males make a mistake they run to her but Vanessa believes that all of the women working there get underpaid so she gets all of the women to go on strike, and what happens after that well you’re just going to have to find out for yourself. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book.

So of course when alien businessmen come to Earth women are again relegated to positions where equal work doesn't mean equal pay!. Gotta admit it does make for a unique story, Loved the storyline and the characters. The interactions between Vanessa and Kral are both steamy and humorous at times. It has all the elements that I look for to keep me entertained, action, romance, steamy sex and an element of danger thrown in for some spice. A really great read!

This very well written SciFi Romance Book is a steamy, Alien Alpha Romance and was intriguing with well-developed scenes, and story with amazing and interesting characters. These characters have strong wills, personalities and believable interactions. This intriguing story has the following: twists, turns, adventure, action, love, steam and a HEA. It is a well-paced, alien romance book that will keep you entranced throughout the story.

A striking read ;)

Alright, Vanessa & Kral's story is, wow. I love the fast pace, detailed, plot-twisting story with the well written, likeable characters (even the jerks).

The HEA is well earned by all the characters. I believe you'll like it. Especially the steamy bits. Even to yelling at both Vanessa & Kral to communicate or look deeper..ahem... I mean further into accusations, yet squirming punishment scenes

Interesting story line into equal rights & the road to end. Enjoy

Karl is from Sanax and it's his mission to get humans to accept the idea of getting rid of currency. Then human, Vanessa, stirs up a strike to get better wages. She is going to be troublesome for him.

But from the moment Vanessa and Kral met, the two of them feel the attraction to each other. Their sizzling chemistry made them good together, and she loves their passionate encounters. What does this mean for them? Where will it go from here?

This story had so much potential but its such a mess. So much doesn't make sense and is just not believable. The sex scenes are a little hot, but the context is just wrong. It feels like whole sections are missing. It almost reads like a first draft that has to be fleshed out.

Could not finish. I thought this was more of an enemies to lovers but it ended up being a power exchange instead. That was not made clear in the description. Also, the whole thing about humans wanting to hold onto paper currency. What century is this supposed to be set? Most transactions now are electronic and that will only continue to increase, so that was such an arbitrary thing to include.

Great start to a series

Enjoyed the characters of Kral and Vanessa. Some of the characters were really funny especially during the strike: one of two of the female aliens were shouting some inappropriate comments but they were so funny. I was cracking up!! Their enthusiasm in support of the strike stood out as one of the high points of the story!! . But a great plot!!

I couldn't bel it when I saw the title...and I thought what the hey...so I got it. Surprisingly it was a good bet. The story was interesting and I think that pig, Hunter, hot everything he deserved and should have gotten more. Yeah for the Hot Aliens.
