Sadie Alden would love nothing more than to spend the weekend soaking up the sunshine with her boyfriend, but it seems that’s not on the cards.
With a golf tournament taking over the islands, Sadie is required to supervise the event despite having little interest in the sport. Will she make a faux pas on the fairway? Absolutely.
Ryder has assured her that there will be clear blue skies for the next few days, but it seems his weather control magic has gone wrong in the worst way possible. Can he fix it before anyone gets hurt?
An IRS agent is making a nuisance of himself at the café and the staff are struggling to keep up with his many demands. Sadie’s talking cat seems to think that there is something fishy going on, but doesn’t he always?
Miller and Sadie’s relationship is put to the test when a dangerous situation arises and she has to think fast in order to save her own life. Unfortunately, it looks like not everyone will be getting out of this thing alive.

I just love this authors books! This one was awesome. Sadie is the peacekeepers on a crazy island full of paranormals. She is a magnet for trouble and is constantly getting into crazy situations and this time is no exception. I can hardly wait for the next one as this one left me hanging !

Sadie has to go to a golf tournament due her being the peacekeeper. Sadie and Miller are having a good start to trip until there is a murder. Then something happened with the moon that affects Miller. Ryder shows up and finds her hurt. Sadie with the help of others are able to fit pieces of the puzzle regarding the murder. Sadie finds out Effie in at the cafe, she looked hurt. Sadie is also still dealing with the Ryder and Miller situation.
This was a good story. Sadie is dealing with a lot of things plus being hurt. I really like Sadie and Miller together, the dynamic they have. I am kind of tired of the Miller and Ryder thing. Ryder character is not that that great. The story is kind of played out for me. Really do anything for the main character, it is a turn off at this point. I really hope that the author does keep Miller and Sadie together.
Sadie is still getting used to be the new Peacekeeper at Hallow Haven and attending the various events the Peacekeeper is invited to. She is off to a golf tournament and time along with Miller. Unfortunately things do not go as planned. The island's nastiest woman is killed in the resort pool Ryder decided to play with the weather which causes a full moon. Miller turns into a werewolf and in the confusion of his turning, injures Sadie. Kate comes over to help Sadie while Emmy, who is photographer for the Gold magazine is attacked in her room. Effie is anxiously waiting for the IRS auditor to arrive and then Sadie finds Effie hiding in their sandwich shop with a lot of blood on her.
Ryder and Miller as her Guardians are very possessive and keep putting Sadie in the middle of their feud. Between that and the chaos surrounding her she is at a loss regarding her life and where she needs to be. In the meantime, she gets information on several of the suspects and helps Miller take the bad guy down.
This is another fun tale in Sadie's new adventures on Hallow Haven.

Sadie would like to take time to explore her fledgling relationship with her boyfriend/guardian, Miller, but as the peacekeeper, she has been tabbed to supervise a major golf tournament taking place on one of the islands. Sadie knows nothing about the sport, but there's no ducking out of it. Her other guardian, Ryder, promises he'll brew up perfect weather for the weekend, but something goes awry. In the meantime, Sadie's friend Effie is having a meltdown because their café, the Sand Witch, is about to be audited by the IRS. Things really take a turn for the worse, however, when a woman is found floating in the hotel pool. Now Sadie has to fake it through a golf tournament, get Effie some calming tea, and, oh yeah, solve another murder.
This book was a slight improvement over others in the series, although I'm growing weary of Sadie's waffling between Miller and Ryder. Shit or get off the pot! The solution to the murder was lackadaisical and didn't involve much sleuthing at all. The biggest drama was the jealousy and enmity between Miller and Ryder, while Sadie's lady bits tingled around both of them.
I think I shall be very kind today and rate this one a four.
This is an entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series with a great cast of characters and a unique and fun storyline. Young woman breaks up with her boyfriend in Virginia and decide she wants to change in her life. She buys a small café on a tropical island and pack up and move there. She’s been realizes that what she thinks is going on is not quite what is going on. The café that she bought was owned by her cousin that she didn’t even not even know. Her cousin was The local supernatural enforcer on this tropical group of islands. She was killed while on a mission. The fates made it where she found the café and basically inherited her cousins role and life. Now she is the supernatural in charge of keeping peace on the islands. In conjunction with the local police departments of the Monday in humans as well as running her café and keeping track of everything going on on the island. Very entertaining and a unique twist.
I really like these books! They are jam packed with peculiar developments and drama, conflicting emotions and good versus bad, plus magic and murder!
Sadie keeps getting blindsided by peacemaker obligations nobody has thought to tell her about, her guardians despise one another and powerful magic gone awry is causing problems on the islands. Her cooking lessons aren't going well and the bakery is about be be audited. Nobody thought to tell her some of the islands practice the darkest of dark magic. Sadie keeps getting injured and some of her friends, too. What in the seven hells is going on? Why is her familiar about as helpful as not having one at all? Why does she have to attend a damn golf tournament? You all have to read this fourth book to find out! I get to read the fifth one next! :)
Rags to Witches is the fourth book in the Hallow Haven Witch Mysteries series. I am not sure that this story would make a lot of sense to start off with if you have not read the previous stories since you learn about the different general characters that end up in the next story in some way. Sadie has finally started to understand the differences in the people on each island and who she can trust and who the trouble makers are. Between her talking cat and her boyfriend, the werewolf sheriff, she should be safe, but there is always someone up to no good. This story continues the crazy antics as well paranormal creatures and activities and then adds in an IRS agent. Well written, off center humor, and lots of twists and turns.

Sadie is the guest of honor at a golf tournament on a neighboring island resort and she is looking forward to a romantic time with Miller. But when Ryder, Sadie's second guardian, practices his weather magic, his jealousy flows into the magic and he creates a permanent full moon. Miller, as a werewolf, becomes uncontrollable and when a murder is committed on the island, he cannot work and there is a danger of him attacking others in this state. Sadie has her hands full, but in addition to all that her café is audited by an IRS agent, who keeps everyone on their toes. IN short, this is another typical for this series - maybe a little more love triangle than before. Still - an interesting plot, unique characters and lots of entertainment. A golf tournament that she has no interest in, bad weather and a tax agent. Can things get worse? Of course they can.
This is book four of the series, but it works just fine as a standalone.
This is a cozy witch mystery with a very nice tropical setting (which sometimes means lots of rain). The story is well written, easy to read with a great setting filled with mystery and intrigue. There is a lot going on in this one with the mystery just being the tip of the iceberg. As usual, we get to meet more unusual characters which is always fun. Overall, another great entry in the series and I look forward to seeing more.
Highly recommended.

As I mentioned in a review for an earlier book - I am enjoying reading these stories but I am also starting to get a bit frustrated that we are not really getting an information about Sadie's family even as far as four books into the series. That aspect is feeling a bit dragged out to me.
I keep reading though because I really enjoy the characters and I am really starting to love Hallow Haven. The individual stories and mysteries are interesting. Maybe not as surprising in some of the endings as other books I have read, but there is drama and intrigue to get to the ending. It always feels worth it at the end to read. And the cliffhanger at the end of this one required me to immediately start the next book.
As Sadie attempts to settle into her Peacekeeper role, things get weird.
Ryder seems to be a dangerous threat. His interference has allowed dark agents better opportunities for success more than once. Is he an agent of confusion? Dark magic? Death?
Miller needs to get his wolfy side better managed. As long as the islands are filled with magic wielding supernaturals, challenges with the weather and moon cycles are not unlikely. What better options are there?
Much ado with personal and magical mayhem

This was an enjoyable story where we watch Sadie, Miller, and Ryder trying to straighten things out, yet everything seems to be going wrong! Sadie is the peacekeeper on the island of supernaturals, and she continues to deal with constant trouble she seems incapable of avoiding. In fact, it seems to follow her around!
Ryder’s weather-control magic goes whacky and promises the golf tournament Sadie is responsible for will be rained out, or worse! Can Ryder actually be trusted? And Miller may have moon issues! Can Sadie get all of this under control before the chaos erupts everywhere? Grab your copy and find out how bad it gets!
Sadie is the new Peacekeeper at Hallow Haven, with Ryder and Miller to protect her. Ryder has issues with the weather magic and has a full moon showing up, and Miller is a wolf again with the full moon. Northing seems to be going right and with a murder in town, this could be the worst golf tournament ever. Figuring out the killer is top on her list as the suspect pool dwindles down. Stress from what she should do about Ryder and Miller. Good characters and storyline. Lots of twists and surprises. Great ending and it gets spookier.

An IRS audit, a golf tournament, an off the wall, raging woman, a dead woman, messed up lunar cycle, werewolf encounter, Ryder showing up, a less than honest lawyer, and a shady husband. Then the end of the story left me with my mouth hanging open! How much could happen in one story? A lot! And I’ve not even touched on everything! Great book!

Sadie is a peacekeeper on the island for paranormals and as usual finds herself in crazy situations. The end left me wishing forthe next book. . This book is entertaining and filled with action and adventure. The chemistry and interaction between the characters is great. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Still loving Sadie and gang adventures and mishaps...but this one is a bit on the confusing side...however it's so engaging and entertaining that I loved it and can't wait for the next one.

I'm eagerly waiting for the next book in this captivating series. The series is a quirky blend British and American dialects. The islands that surround Hallow Haven is an eclectic mix that could be Scotland or Ireland or even a place in a Harry Potter book.
Maybe I'm just reading too many of these back-to-back. But this Kate lady is getting to be a bit of a cell I say witch. Maybe that should just start with a B. Oh well but she's got me and I'll probably have to read another one right now.
I love it when an author can juggle several storylines at once and inner weave them together and they make sense and they complement each other and they are both as twisted as they can be. This is so much fun!!
This is a well written and developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
These are really cute stories and I am enjoying them but these books desperately need an editor. There way too many instances of incorrect word usage or verb tense. The further I get in the series, the worse it seems to be. I keep reading because I'm enjoying the stories, but it is distracting.
