𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰!! 🧡🧡

He broke this kiss, catching Hazel’s whimper for more. “We won’t be long,” he told Hawke.
“All right,” Hawke said with a shit-eating grin, and shut the door behind him.
Kieran didn’t doubt that Hawke now stood outside the door, giving Kieran the privacy he needed, and that Hawke expected a case of beer for it. Kieran turned to Hazel again. He expected to find a shy glance from her, but that’s not what he found. She sparkled with uncontrolled lust. “It’s rare I’m surprised by anything, Hazel, but this surprises me.” And not only that she’d kissed him, but that he was losing sense of why he’d been holding himself back from her.
Her lips were swollen and puffy from his kiss. He’d never seen her look so confident before, so determined. She slid her hands up his biceps gingerly, as if she’d been longing to feel his flesh. “I … I don’t … I don’t know this. Show me this.”
He saw her need and understood she’d been tipped over the edge. Desire that had been long ignored was now unleashed completely. He’d been fighting against touching her, but that fight ended here. He couldn’t refuse what she wanted, what he wanted, when she looked at him with such desperation. Any other woman he’d have slammed against the mirror and ridden her hard, but this wasn’t any other woman, this was Hazel. Sliding an arm around her waist, he held her to him. “You want me to show you pleasure?” he murmured.
“Yes,” she whispered.
“I can’t give you more than this, Hazel. Only friendship and pleasure. It’s all I’m capable of.”
Her fingers tightened on his arms. “I don’t want more. Just this.”
He didn’t need to hear another word. “Then spread your legs for me.”

*3.75 EMPOWERED STARS*

While I absolutely love the world of Phoenix, I think this was my least favorite book out of the series so far. It was still very enjoyable though.

I just love Phoenix and it's patrons, and the way it restored Hazel's confidence and made her become less shy and more empowered.
I've also loved Kieran since reading about him in book 1, but some stupid decisions and mistakes were made in this book which made me deduct a star. Lack of communication is one of my pet peeves, as is running off, so I'm not completely on board with how these characters got together.
Zoey and Rhys are still my OG couple ❤️

I'll still definitely be continuing the series though!

Shadow and Jennifer's two-fer review

Shadow's 5 star review
This was a delightful froth of a book with a yummy hero, a strong, caring heroine and the kind of friends everyone wishes they had. Hazel had horrible parents and a bad experience with a vicious boyfriend in high school left her terrified of becoming close to men. When she is left homeless, her friend Kieran, moves her in with him. Both try keeping each other firmly in the friend zone, but the attraction between them is too strong to resist. Kieran’s parents are even worse than Hazel’s, and he is a commitment-phobe, enjoying the single life and planning on staying that way. He knows Hazel wants and deserves a home and family, but he feels obligated to teach her about passion. When the unexpected happens, will he step forward and be the man she needs? Kieran is delicious, if a little bit of an idiot about his own feelings. A firefighter and competitor in the Ironman contest, he is sweet and charming. Hazel proves to have both strength and courage, and her caring nature has already endeared her not only to Kieran, but to her friends and their men. The book is emotional and has its own form of page-turning questions, but overall is an easy, pleasing read.

Jennifer's 4.5 star review
The men of the Phoenix Club are off the charts alpha and smoking hot. When Hazel needs to find somewhere to live, Kieran offers up the spare room in his house. Apparently he forgot that every time he is around Hazel his body reacts inappropriately. Hazel is a reporter and is assigned to find members of the exclusive Phoenix Club. Her best friends and their significant others, including Kieran, are all members and she wants to avoid exposing them. As they work together to stop anyone from talking, they grow closer and lines are crossed. Kieran has always thought that a serious relationship was not for him, but he cannot imagine his life without Hazel. I cannot express how much I love these characters and their stories. They are so wonderfully kinky and settled at the same. It is a really enjoyable series that will not disappoint.

Save Me is the third book in Stacey Kennedy’s Phoenix series, and I was eager to dive into this one after enjoying the prior books. In fact, this was the story I was most excited to dive into. I was desperate to find out more about our female lead, and I had high hopes of how this one would play out.

I’ll be honest and say that this one moved a bit slower than I’d expected at the start. It certainly had me curious to see how the pieces would come together, but the intense feelings I’ve experienced with the author’s other books did not hit me for a while. Once those feelings hit, I fell in even deeper. I think part of this is because of how this one was a bit predictable for me. I saw most of the details coming early, and it meant I wasn’t quite as wowed by it as I had hoped. That is not to say I disliked it – I did like it, as shown by the fact I devoured this one in a single sitting – but I didn’t love it quite as much as I had hoped.

All in all, this was a great addition to the series. It certainly has me eager to see what comes in the next book.

This is the 3rd book in this series. It's a standalone and a great book! Reporter Hazel's next assignment is to find out the identity of the hunky masked man in a picture taken at a rumored sex club. Only when she see's the picture she absolutely knows who that masked man is! Kieran is a hot, alpha firefighter who runs a foundation for kids. He is the masked man in the picture and member of the sex club. He's also Hazel's friend and new roommate.

Put all this together and it gives you one steamy book! Hazel and Kieran both have issues with relationships. They are living together and she is trying to keep his identity hidden, but these two realize the growing attraction between them.

This book has it all...drama, angst, love, friendship and it's all wrapped up in a steamy, hot bow! Their chemistry is off the charts and I loved watching these two overcome obstacles and come together. I also loved seeing Kieran's dual life. One as a firefighter putting out fires and the other life as a sex club member starting fires!

4 Star review of Save Me (Phoenix #3) by Stacey Kennedy
Save me is the third book in the Phoenix series from Stacey Kennedy and this was a sizzling read. I was intrigued when I first read the blurb and my heart went out to shy reporter Hazel Rose and the position she finds herself in.
When she is given an assignment to identify and interview a masked man from the Phoenix Club she is put into an awkward position. She knows who the man is but she has no intention of revealing his identity.
Hazel has little to no self confidence after her ex boyfriend did a number on her. Her new room mate is Kieran Black a man who avoids relationships. When they both attend a wedding they begin to learn more about each other and their journey begins. Offering to fulfil her fantasies if she will help him learn what a woman wants in a partner they enter into an arrangement.
However it quickly becomes obvious that there is more at stake than ether of them realized. Hazel has a lot of baggage from her past. I loved the development of their relationship, it was steamy and loving. Can Kieran break down the walls that she has built up? Can he convince her to take a chance on a relationship with him?

A lehce.

I wanted to enjoy this story more, as I liked both Kieran and Hazel. The author just over did the drama. I can see Hazel being upset over her high school boyfriend for awhile, but not years later. I saw no reason why Kieran would lower himself to go after the guy.
As expected, the scenes at the Phoenix were steamy. The plot centered around friendship, as the gang certainly displayed loyalty and protectiveness of each other.

I look forward to each book that author Stacey Kennedy puts out and this is one of my favorite series from her.

Hazel Rose works as a reporter and is tasked to find out who the masked man in the photo is, get an interview with him, and find out all she can about club Phoenix. She knows who the man is and about the club but doesn't want to tell anyone because it involves most of her friends.

Kieran Black is a firefighter and a member of club Phoenix who avoids relationships like they are they plaque. When Hazel needs a place to stay, he offers her his spare room. Oh what a mistake, he knows she is innocent but he didn't realize just what she would do to him.

As Hazel and Kieran grow closer, they learn about each other's past and he wants to protect her while she wants to show him about true love.

While this seemed to not be as sizzling hot as the others in the series, I still found this story heartfelt, loving, protective, caring, and filled with friendship. If you haven't read anything from this author before, I highly recommend Stacey Kennedy, any of her stories are worth reading.

Triggers: Hidden because they may contain spoilers.

This is the third book in the series and I highly recommend you read the first two so that you know that backstory well. It comes in with this book too.

Hazel loves her job and knows that she wants to be the best that she can be. She also is so happy for her friends finding the loves of their lives. What she is sad about is seeing her friends leave their house. Now, knowing that she can't afford the place herself, Hazel has to find a new place to live.

Kieran has chosen his family well. After going through a tumultuous childhood, Kieran knew that he wanted to surround himself with people he chose instead of those he was born to. His new family is amazing, and he is now up for a promotion at work.

When Kieran hears that Hazel needs a place to stay, he offers his house and extra room so that Hazel can save money and not just move for the sake of moving. What neither of them realize is that living together will heighten their already burning attraction to each other. Despite their attraction to each other, neither is wanting to take their friendship to a different level, both for different reasons.

As you get to watch Kieran and Hazel fight their attraction, outside forces are putting a strain on the group and the Phoenix. Hazel is doing her best to make sure that her friends are protected and when someone from Hazel's past comes around again, Kieran will stop at nothing to make sure that Hazel feels safe, loved, and protected.

Now, what to do? Friends with benefits? Kieran wants to show Hazel that sex isn't something to be scared of. Hazel desperately wants to connect with someone but given her hang-ups, hasn't been able to. Maybe together, Kieran and Hazel can heal their pasts and more forward to a new future neither ever expected.

These characters are complex, sexy, confident, and funny. You'll love seeing the whole group again and I absolutely love how fierce the women are in this friends group. You won't be disappointed.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the third book in the series, and you will understand the dynamics better if you have read them in order. However, I do believe that there is enough catch-up information to ensure that you are in the know either way.

Kieran's two closest friends are engaged to Hazel's best friends, so they inevitably are spending more time together. When Hazel admits that she can't afford the apartment the women previously shared, he offers her a place to stay. They both really like each other, but Kieran has no intention of following his parents into an unhappy marriage and nasty divorce, and Hazel is so smitten and aware of his feelings, so would never make a move.

This stalemate is obviously going to be broken as the chemistry between them is clear, but the way it happens is maybe not what we would have expected. I love that Hazel is so loyal to her friends above the demands of her job. She is also a trust fund baby who refuses to bow to family pressure, and lives on her own earnings.

As Kieran gets to know her better, he has to review his opinions too – and we get to enjoy them having fun and growing ever closer – delicious!

ARC for honest review with no compensation Received from Social Butterfly

Save Me is book 3 in the Phoenix series by Stacey Kennedy and while each book is a standalone reading in order gives you the background on the Phoenix Club.

Up next is Kieran Black, firefighter, Phoenix partner, and Hazel Rose, reporter and friend. When a grainy photograph of people from Phoenix shows up, Hazel’s boss offers a bonus to her friends and colleagues to figure out who they are and expose the club. Hazel has to warn her friends and figure out a way to not expose the club or Kieran who is in the picture..

So much happens..they become roommates, both have relationship phobias, but there are sparks, crush, past struggles, no strings arrangement, sexy times, club exposure and so much more…can’t wait to see where this all leads…

Something about this story spoke to me. I'm not sure if it was the power of friendship that these girls have with watching each other's backs or Hazel's inability to believe that good things can happen to her. That broke my heart and just when I thought she will get all she deserves, she is once again put in that place of hurt. But thankfully Kieran figured it out pretty fast his mistake and he more than made up for it. What I loved the most was the way that the entire group had each other's backs and when one is hurt they all do what it takes to make it better.

Now I'm super excited to see if the next chase is Hunt and Lottie.

I liked this book a lot more than book 2.
Kieran and Hazel just fit. I liked that things were easy [but not] but so natural between them. And the budding attraction through book 2 as well/the hints there.

Also for how ~timid Hazel is written in the other books, she isn't really.
I was pleasantly surprised by the major turnaround from her parents.

TBH I was concerned/wrong about a number of things while reading this book and that made me happy! So Hazel's a reporter for a tabloid. [Which ... >.> "reporter" then...] BUT ANYWAY. Her boss wants them to discover who is in/behind the sex club and all the salacious details. She even offers a $20,000 bounty.
When Hazel didn't first/immediately tell her friends, I thought "oh geez - this is going to be the 'dark moment' isn't it - Hazel isn't going to tell anyone and then Phoenix will be outed or the [guys] will find out and everyone will be mad at her with good reason." But! She does tell her girlfriends the next day! WHEW.

And there were just a number of things like that.

And it was nice to see Hazel be HONEST with Kieran. And him with her. Of course there are feelings getting involved but it's more the characters don't even realize/are willing to admit to themselves; so that's not manufactured dramas.

Also it's sexy. [Kinda wish there had been more/it's all this buildup and then of course they have the sexysex but then there's like no intimacy depicted - there's the "oh we've slept together for a month" which I think is just literally a sentence.
And sure of course the book can't all be all sex - even in a book about a sex club.
But you know.

[And then the end/epilogue really just being a set up for book 4...]
Whatever though - still liked the book overall.

I'd say ... C or C+?

Of the chart hot and swoon-worthy in one story isn't easy to achieve but Stacey Kennedy has done this brilliantly in Save Me, I bounced between my heart pounding as Kieran blow me away with how perfect he was as he took baby steps with the wonderful yet slightly broken Hazel and then my heart pounded in a completely of the chart hot way when he gradually introduced her to the delights of Phoenix the hidden club where fantasies are played out.

Hazel has always had a soft spot for Kieran as their friends have become couples have drawn them closer together as a group, but Hazel has something in her past that holds her back from intimacy, Kieran is the perfect person to help her blossom but that is all it could ever be, friends with benefits, Kieran has seen what family does when it is torn apart and he will never go down that road, but those doe eyes of Hazel keeps drawing closer and closer to her inner flame.

What I loved about Save Me is that Stacey Kennedy balanced every piece of this story out perfectly, the hotness is overbearing it is just right, the swoon blends with the hotness and the touches of humour are just brilliantly placed at just the right time, not too much just a sprinkling to make Hazel and Kierans story everything you could want

I can't believe I missed the first two books in the series, but do now have

Hazel is beside herself since Elise is moving out and in with Archer. She can't afford to stay so Kieran offers his extra room. Kieran is her crush and he's been attracted to her but she's so innocent. What starts out as friendship turns more as Kieran shares his horrible childhood and Hazel shares her heartbreak first time story. The come to an agreement for Kieran to show Hazel sensuality at Phoenix and Hazel will teach him how to date. Along the way she has to put a stop to the rumored stories about the club and the grainy picture of Kieran that her workplace is trying to identify. Help from Rhys, Zoey, Archer, Elise, and Hunt trying to find the mole in the club has the walls closing in. Out of nowhere a surprise has the couple's relationship tested to the make or break level.

I hate the whole inexperienced virginal - or very close to untouched - heroine and an experienced hero. I hate the inequality, misogyny, and power dynamic that come with that. STOP writing these unexperienced female leads.

I cannot look past this in a book -- i rated this while reading so the two stars can still drop to 1! I really do not enjoy these dynamics - it really shows in the relationship when the woman is inexperienced. There is power play and a form of male dominance (in a head of household/im better than you/ive had life experiences you havent dynamic)

NAH - one star because the whole premise of this book is his experience/her inexperience.

SHES mid to late 20s. so no, STOP WRITING THESE WEAK WILLED LADIES. thats what they are!!!!

You can read my review of Watch Me on my blog, here: https://thepaperworlds.blogspot.com/2....

This is a spoiler-free review!

I have to say I was pretty excited to get to Hazel and Kieran's book, especially after the epilogue for Keep Me -- a firefighter who goes to a sex club and a journalist with a traumatic past surrounding a high school relationship -- considered me intrigued. I do not think I have ever read a book where the main male character was a firefighter, so I was definitely happy to add that to my list.

Kieran is already so protective of Hazel right off the bat, which comes to us as no surprise, considering how Rhys and Archer were so protective of Zoey and Elise when they first started getting together. With Hazel in Kieran's life, he is in for a new perspective and she is in for a total reevaluation of what being intimate really means.

I would say that Save Me has more toned down smut compared to the prior two books, but all of the scenes at Phoenix and other places definitely allow the story to move forward and let Kieran and Hazel to understand what they want in life and in a relationship. The scenes they share reflect how they are as people, and while they are steamy, you can tell that they have their own personal touch to it. Their living arrangement definitely proves that they have more on their minds than having Hazel find a new place, and their dynamic reminded me a lot of what is seen in The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata.

Save Me has a sweet undertone to it compared to the other relationships that we have seen in the series -- Hazel is much more innocent than Zoey and Elise, and when you learn more about her past, you understand why. I really enjoyed the depth that Kennedy went into when exploring Kieran and Hazel's pasts and their individual relationships with their parents. It definitely added a lot of character behind them, and as a reader you can really understand their way of thinking.

The friendship between Hazel, Elise, and Zoey is still just as strong as it was in the first two books, and we get to see how protective they are over Hazel as the very hint of someone hurting her. The same goes with Kieran, Rhys, Archer, and Hunt -- they all parallel the relationship the girls have with each other, and they are not afraid to put each other in their place.

If you are looking for a short and sweet story thats starts fast and then slows down as the main characters discover more about each other, this is the book for you. It was a great follow up to Keep Me, and once again the epilogue has me excited to read the next book.

Stacey Kennedy has written a number of books that I've loved reading, and Save Me is one of my favorites. Save Me is a standalone in her Phoenix series, and while it is the third book in the series in no way do you need to have read books one and two. Save Me is the love story of a shy reporter who doesn't think that she'll ever find anyone to love her but wants a loving husband and children and a firefighter who never wanted to get married or have kids. But when they become roommates their differences in what they want in life begin to be put off to the side. What could go wrong?
Hazel Rose grew up with a mother that only ever saw her flaws and wanted her to be a good society wife and a father that was always gone on business, so she has always wanted someone who will truly love her for who she is. Since moving in with the Kieran Black, the handsome firefighter that's best friends with her friends' husbands, she can't help but feel attracted to him. But she knows how he feels about relationships and she's also too shy and doesn't have enough confidence to do anything about her feelings towards Kieran.
Plus now she's accidentally caused trouble for Kieran and his friends that owner the secret, exlusive Phoenix S** Club, before her friend, Zoey married the owner of Phoenix, Rhys, they investigated the club and she wrote a small expose the secret club and she snagged a photo of a masked Kieran and ran the story at work. Since that story was her most popular story they've had in months, Hazel's boss wants more about the club and the mysterious man in the photo and has offered up a $20,000 reward for another story to her and her colleagues and they're hot on the story.
Kieran grew up in a toxic home, his parents had an acrimonious divorce and decided to use him as a tool against the other. Because of that he never wants to get married or bring a child into the world. Since Hazel moved in with him he can't help but be attracted to her, but he knows he can't give her want she needs and wants. But when he finds out the reason that she is so insecure about herself and her sexuality he is determined to help her like she is with her work looking for him. He starts by bringing her to Phoenix and showing her that you don't have to live life by such strict rules. By bringing her to Phoenix their passions for one another is brought to the surface. After spending the night together Kieran and Hazel decide to have a no strings, no label relationship with one another, but those feelings soon become something more. Can Hazel put aside her insecurities and truly trust Kieran and can Kieran realize that not all relationships are like his parents so they can both have the lives they both deserve?

Oops, I did it again. Smack dab in the middle of a series, but it reads well as a standalone and I am definitely going to read the rest of this series.

The deal Hazel and Kieran agreed upon is excruciatingly frustrating. He'll give her pleasure at a secret sex club and she will give him dating lessons as friends. Sounds easy right? Wrong. They happen to live together and, well, close proximity and all.

Hazel is sweet and selfless. She wants marriage and a family and she is not delusional that Kieran has big red warning signs about commitment. Her past trauma with her first boyfriend destroyed any future relationships so taking Kieran up on his offer to free herself sexually is an eye-opener. And who better to do it with than the man she has been crushing on for years. Of course, it is incredible. However, there is a problem.

Kieran is the strong and silent type with a swoony bad boy vibe. He's a fireman by day and a sexy exhibitionist at night. He's also a good person and a lost soul. Relationships leave him cold after watching his parents use him to hurt each other, but Hazel surprises him with her kindness and trust in him. Does he deserve that trust? Can he be just friends without hurting her?

What a beautiful love story. Hazel and Kieran both have shitty parents so they both have no clue what it's like to be loved unconditionally. Being together changes them both for the better and when stuff gets real, their fear gets in the way of happiness. Yes, relationships are messy and we all have baggage, but these two work it out in a healthy way by making amends with each other, family, and friends.

I love the supporting characters in this book who are Hazel and Kieran's true family. In particular, Elise is fierce, baby!!!  She has her bestie's back and she owns it. And the whole magazine subscription thing is priceless. LOL. Hunt also stands out to me as a fantastic friend to Kieran and I can't wait for his story. Yummy! Like I said before, I'm reading the whole series.

I recommend highly this delightful incredibly romantic story that shows the power of sex in a positive way. It shows that a woman can desire what she wants with someone who doesn't push for anything else. Well done!

Thank you to Ms. Kennedy for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

This book seemed to be better and more interesting than the first two. Hazel and Kieran were kind of different than some of the other couples. I liked the way they got together, and frankly, the $ex was seriously hot. It was a little convicted to believe that, as Kieran said, going to the Phoenix was "life changing," but OK, I can suspend my disbelief there. The pace of their new relationship and how it worked was charming, too. It was a little closer to the YA world since Hazel let her single bad first-time $ex experience color her ENTIRE life. And she was a major doormat to her mother.

I also liked the scrambling everyone was doing to prevent a serious leak about the private $ex club. Although, is it really possible for private hackers like the Penny character to monitor and bug private people like that? I guess it's possible, but wow, that's scary.

Everything seemed to be going great for this story. Then, there was the incredibly stupid surprise pregnancy. Holy cow. I couldn't believe supposedly grownup people were discussing a potential pregnancy with such shock. They used two methods of birth control at almost every encounter, then relied on the FMC's birth control pills for several more, but she became pregnant anyway. In other words, they used birth control at every encounter. There was no mention of antibiotics, or a slipup somewhere. Seriously? Yes, birth control pills are milder than in the past decades, but unless something happened that wasn't mentioned in the story, the odds of a pregnancy were pretty low. To be using birth control correctly and still getting pregnant is pretty rare. Yes, I know, it works in 98% of cases, but come on! My point is, what a stupid stupid plot point. The surprise pregnancy trope is probably my most hated. I definitely would never have read this if I'd known. Not only is that the laziest of tropes, but it sends a crappy message to women that having a baby moves a relationship along and fixes things. IRL, any woman will tell you that's a giant load of crap to ever think that.

This story would have been so much better if the couple had simply had to work out what kind of relationship they were going to have, you know, like adults. Instead, the author used that ridiculous trope instead of writing a much better story. These characters were pretty good, and they deserved a better story.

Warning…This book may cause any of the following things to occur…Fanning yourself over incredibly hot🔥 scenes,
Excessive Smiling,
Excessive Squirming
Inability to put this book down.
I didn’t see the time pass, falling in love with these characters with their sizzling chemistry. Refreshing, convincingly heartfelt, swoony and hot.

Hazel Rose was overjoyed that her friends had found their soulmate, she wanted what they had and yet she was too broken from something in her past to ever achieve it. But now she had to deal with finding a place to live since she couldn’t afford the loft that they had all lived in, and that is when her best male friend Kieran Black moved her into his place until she found something else.

Kieran Black’s new roommate and best friend was slowly killing him. He hadn’t realized the depth of his desire for her until they were forced into close proximity. She was good, sweet, nurturing, sexy everything a man would want if he was looking for a wife. All the things he shouldn’t want after his parents nasty divorce. He had always surrounded himself with passionate people, who understood that it was just one night, no attachments. He had never met anyone as innocent as Hazel.

But these two aren’t ready for what happens next when they come to each other rescue by making a bargain that could possibly change their relationship dynamics forever! You don’t want to miss this part. Hot!

If you haven’t grabbed up Save Me you’re missing out because this story is sexy, romantic and charming! Full of heat and heart. One to pick up and savior!

Voluntarily requested a early copy and this is my honest review.

Hazel and Kieran are pining for one another but they can’t go there because it would ruin their friendship. He doesn’t do relationships and she wants marriage with a white picket fence and babies so there’s no way they’re compatible. Instead, they decide she’ll teach him how to be a good date and he’ll give her sex lessons, but there won’t be any feelings involved. You can guess how that works out for them.

There are outside forces at work here but their emotional baggage is the only thing standing in the way of their happiness. Hazel is irresistible but Kieran tells himself she deserves a man who will give her everything and he’s not that guy. Kieran is funny, sweet and just happens to be the sexiest man she’s ever laid eyes on, but Hazel is convinced this is just a crush that won’t go anywhere.

Just weeks into their new arrangement, they’re both fighting feelings and fate is about to force their hand. The Phoenix Club storyline is fascinating and I loved the supporting cast so I’ll probably read the earlier books in the series and I really hope Hunt’s story is coming next. This is a steamy friends to lovers with a HEA that will make you smile.
