We are really getting into the meat of the story now and Paris is learning more about her family. Even meeting the ones that are available to meet. Getting more into the Fairy Godmother business and magic. Opening the eyes of the teachers at the school a little at a time.
I love the characters and the family of the heroin. I can only hope that the upcoming books will be as engaging and entertaining as this. I love the squirrel and the staff at the fairy godmother college.
This is the second book in the Inscrutable Paris Beaufont series by Sarah Noffke and Michael Anderle.
Paris and Faraday, the intelligent squirrel, are back in another Fairy Godmother story. This series is just stand out amazing. Totally digging Paris and the Fairy Godmother School.
This series really just feels like a continuation from the previous book. This is like the second book in a multi-book series. Just an ongoing saga. It would be perfect for a bind-up when the time comes and it reaches its conculsion.
Paris is half fairy, half magician and her unique outlook is putting a new spin on the Fairy Godmother School. Dusting out the old cobwebs and inserting new life into the Fairy Godmother game. This is a fun series to follow and love the unique spin the author has put on the classic fairy tale character.
Paris learns more about her family and how her Uncle became her guardian. This story is turning into a search for Paris's parents. Definitely a series I want to continue to follow.
Highly recommended. Read this book for free via my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Another great Paris story. Here we have Fairy Godmothers who are in charge of making matches. Things are not working out with this. Light and easy reading.
The mystery of how we have this series is finally revealed and we get to see the why and the now of it came to be. The characters that we love appear ,and I particularly like the sidekick role Faraday plays in these books. It'll be interesting how we see how the evil is finally defeated as this is a serious big bad and our youthful heroine needs to win the day. Sounds familiar then this is where Noffke excels and the changes are subtle enough to keeps us entranced with these events.
Mystery, magic, and mayhem! There are things revealed that beg more questions to be answered, and I know I’m being teased with hints of things to come, as well as events happening in the intervening years since Sophia’s last book.
King Rudolf is a favourite character! Both wise and a complete moron, all rolled up in a bundle like a happy puppy.
The mix is sarcasm, caring, hilarity, loyalty, and everything in between is perfect: as always with Sarah’s novels.
Well I loved book one but book two is believe it or not even better! It’s so entertaining and exciting as once again we join Paris on her adventures. Our snarky and sassy fairy godmother has her work cut out for her as she tries to help love and the others godmothers in the modern world. It’s full of magic, mystery, suspense, mayhem, chaos, secrets, hilarity and loyalty . I love the characters, love the continuing storyline and I would love to read more! A truly magical series!
I loved 🥰 reading about Liv and then it continued with Sophia... and now Paris!!! I love it more Beaufont...!!! I’ve been hooked to Sarah Knofke (sorry if not spelled correctly) since Liv which was 11 books 📚 and Sophia and Lunis 🐉 12 books 📚!!! If you haven’t read them you need to!!! I find myself lol 😂 (literally) and sad 😢 and getting teary 🥲 eyed...!!! They are the best books 📚 I’ve read!!! Well I did start with BA and who doesn’t love Bethany Anne another bad ass!!!
Things are starting to come together for Paris in In the Mysterious Lost Child. Questions she didn't even realise she had are starting to be answered, but there is plenty more to learn. I love how the Liv, Sophia and Paris books are intertwined. We get the characters of the old books, along with some new ones to love! Faraday is a hoot and the characters at the Fairy Godmother College are so much fun. Paris clearly has Liv's snark! Paris is rocking the Fairy Godmother world, whilst sorting through her own issues. Can't wait for the next book.
From start to finish, this book tells the amazing story of Paris who makes startling discoveries, kicking ass and taking names, with her trusty sidekick, Faraday :-) while turning the Fairy Godmother college upside down
I am loving this series! We get to find out more about Paris's world and are reconnected with characters from the previous two series. It has been so fun to watch this world grow and change and experience all the discoveries that Paris makes. I cannot wait to see the events of book 2 resolved (hopefully!) in book 3.
I love this new character. Her story is a mystery that can't be told. Its about time that FGC got a shakeup. Old fashioned ways don't work in the modern world and Paris is just the person they need. Now if she could figure out her own life. Then, there is Far a day. What a delightful surprise.
This series gets better and better. We find out more about who Paris really is, but that also creates deadly danger and even more mysteries that need to be solved. There is lots of adventure, peril, suspense, magic and humour in this book. I love how invested Paris becomes in helping bring the Fairy Godmothers come into the modern world and in finding solutions to help save love. I really enjoy the cross overs and cameos from the authors other series’ and yet you could still just as easily read these books as a stand-alone series. It is a fun, enthralling read with great characters, lots of action and mystery, and a suspenseful villain hovering in the wings.
The Mysrerious Lost Child (The Inscrutable Paris Beaufont Book2)
I chose 5 Stars because this book was so good, it is funny, touching, mysterious and just plain good. The characters are amusing and belivable. I can't wait for the next book comes out. I love Sarah Noffke & Michael Anderle books. I would recommend them to everybody who likes fixtion.
How will you feel when you found out that everything you thought you know about yourself is a lie? That's exactly what happened to Paris, after the whole crazy teacher episode in book one. And yes, setting sugar minefield at dessert to ensure your friend's child got sugar high at home is the nastiest trick 😁😁😁
Loving the series! Paris has an interesting life, must be a family thing. Great twists and turns! I have book 3 loaded and have pre ordered books 4 and 5. As with everything Sarah this is already a great ride, loving it!
The fun characters are still with us and Paris's story gets even more interesting. Besides finding out how she wound up where she was she discovers the truth.
Paris is finally learning the secrets of her past and her family. It's a lot to take in and she is going to have to work hard to set things right, and at the same time help save the Fairy Godmother college. I am looking forward to the rest of the series to see how everything goes.
This book starts with a new bad guy, the Deathly Shadow, roaming the streets as mist looking for someone. Someone who is a Halfling of magician and fairy….. I wonder who that can be….. Since the truth was revealed the night before, the Deathly Shadow can now find her.
Paris tries to uncover her past – who her parents were, where are her parents. So off she goes in search of the truth. However, everyone who knows Paris and her parents, Liv and Stefan, have all been spelled so they can’t tell her what happened. Now that the truth of Paris’s real identity has come out, Paris can meet the family she didn’t know existed (I did need a tissue or 2 at one point lol).
During all this, Paris is given a mission to try to bring Amelia and Grayson together (the failed match at the beginning of the first book) because despite the day before being Valentines Day, the love meter is dropping dangerously low which is causing real world problems.
Faraday gets up to some mischief, he just had to find out why the Serenity Gardens is off limits on a Tuesday, and of course gets into trouble….
I loved this book and Paris’s character – she’s very much like Liv and Sophia in that she believes in fair justice and standing up for people.
There were dangerous bits, of course, and slapstick bits, and definitely not enough talking to squirrel bits, (I'm missing the talking to cats bits, that I'd got used to, with Liv and Sophia, so a talking Squirrel is a wonderful substitute!), and there was stuff that made me stop and think, quite seriously, about the ideas I was reading about, too.
Paris Beaufont is definitely on an amazing life journey and, from reading both the first book of this series, plus this one, I can see it's probably going to be a long and bumpy one.
There will probably be a few ice patches thrown in, too!
But I'm very much looking forwards to reading the rest of this series because, just like the Liv Beaufont series, and the Sophia Beaufont series, this one is already setting out to be yet another cracker!
So, now that I've finished book two, it's time for me to start book three: Unsuspecting Trouble - which sounds about the right title for this unusual Beaufont girl.
Anyway, I'll catch you on the flip side, and let you know what happens next!
Paris/Guinevere has discovered she’s half fairy-half magician and the Godmother school has accepted her to stay. But she wants to find out why she was hidden and a silencing spell placed on her family and friends, unable to tell her anything. But now everything’s coming out. But it’s dangerous for her to leave the school grounds. A deadly lost shadow demon is searching for her wanting her body for his own.
She discovers more about herself and why she was hidden away and what she has to do now. Faraday is a fascinating character.
Fave scenes: Paris discussing the movie, Paris’s chili, Faraday visiting the garden and Mei Ling’s rescue.
Paris has discovered how little she knows in the prior book and even in the beginning of this book. Is it worth 🤔 trying to discover what she has learned she doesn't know or would remaining ignorant be better? She might not get a choice. On the fun side she gets to design an escape room!!!!!
…and I am reminded why I avoid anything with Michael Anderle’s name attached to it. The first book was mild and fairly charming in a similar way that Hallmark Christmas movies are featherweight and mostly inoffensive. However, this book starts with the disembodied “Deathly Shadow” that has been hunting Paris since birth and goes precipitously downhill from there.
