Taking a chance on love can be the greatest thrill of all…

When a free-climbing accident lands Arron Bosch at the Wild River Community Hospital, he’s reunited with his ex, emergency room nurse Alisha Miller. His impulsive plan to travel the world broke them up. Now he needs someone to help him recover and can’t resist seeing a chance for them to start over. Besides…it’s kind of her fault that he fell.

Alisha wanted closure—that’s the only reason she called Arron. And now he’s living in her tiny apartment until he’s all healed. The longer he stays, the closer they get, but Arron’s only going to leave again. Alisha’s built a life in Wild River and wants to stay in one place. But what if the place she'll be happiest is by his side?

In Wild Alaskan Hearts, Arron Bosch and Alisha Miller had dated in the past and never had closure on their relationship. When Aaron's twin brother died suddenly, he packed up everything he owned, sold what he couldn't take and left town. He didn't deal with his loss well and when Alisha wasn't ready to pack in her new job and leave with him after only dating 3 months, he left and didn't call for 16 months. Alisha tried to move on, dated other men, but never found someone she cared about as much as Arron. He is back, now injured after falling from a mountain during a free climb and living at Alisha's apartment while he recuperates. It's a good thing they already had history, because at only 39 pages, this is a very short story. Aaron tries to convince Alisha that he never forgot her and that he is ready to settle down, but she's not sure she should believe him. Can she take a chance on their love? Once again, I liked these characters and wanted them to get together. This is a second chance romance that was cute and introduced more wonderful characters to the Wild River series.

Alisha can't get Aaron out of her mind, but when she mixes up her current boyfriend's birthday with Aaron's, Nick walks out. Who can blame him? But Alisha isn't right for him, even if she wants to be. But does she? Her best friend doesn't think so, so she breaks down--after all, it's been 16 months since Aaron took off for adventures around the world--and sends him a message.

Unfortunately, her call occurs when he's free-climbing, misses a handhold and ends up in the hospital where she works as a nurse. Ack! He insists on leaving the hospital, but he can't manage on his own while his broken bones are healing, so she reluctantly takes him home, only to discover that she still wants him in her life. But does he want her?

When Aaron tries to convince her that he has never forgotten her and that his adventure-seeking is over, she's not sure she should believe him. What to do? Take a leave of absence from her job at the hospital so that they can travel together. But will it work?

Cute short story. I wish it was longer, I know it’s not a full length book but novella’s are usually longer than this story.
