A little bit bait and switch

So reading the book sample you get a decent way into book one, fine premise and some good humor that made me laugh so purchase to continue reading... and learn the author really likes to build up... only to yank it out from under you with some meh deus ex machina or something just nonsensical to lead into the next book(s). It is a parody and also kind of serious at the same time. Authors approach with this just kind of ends up.... meh.

Enjoyable LitRPG/dungeon core series that held my interest from start to finish. Execellent world building and variety of settings. A thoroughly enjoyable series about a core that embraces his shadow self, and uses his cunning in an unapologetically self-interested way - that just happens to enrich the lives of those around him. Highly recommended!

Good story

I gave this series 5 stars because it held my interest all the way through.
I was a bit disappointed with the ending. It did leave an opening for a future book , which I would gladly read.
Don't give up after the first book . The series gets better .
