If i could give 4.5 here I would. I honestly loved this book.
It is the first book in the series and the Author’s first full novel (first was a book of short stories) and of course you can tell this in some areas but even with that, the story was still very entertaining, immersive, and makes you feel emotion!
I was constantly needing to know what happens next to the point I was grabbing the book and reading it at 5am when I woke up.
The author is really good with descriptions and helping the reader visualize the horrors the characters are facing. It had me HOLDING MY BREATH during many moments the horror/suspense was just so good!
If you enjoy The Mist, A Quiet Place, or any apocalyptic style horror movies/books, then I recommend this book.
It was easy to ready, kept me fully entertained the whole time, and I actually teared up with the main male character in the book at the end.
I can’t wait to start book two and see the authors writing grow!

One of those short stories made into a longer set of stories. I absolutely love it I love where it goes every new detail is basically something I feel like I've never heard before which is hard to find these days with how many books I read. Just a great journey.

Amazing and suspenseful!

Drama at every turn. New discoveries and questions at all the right moments. Kept my interest during each page turn. Worth the read if you’re into Sy-fi and enjoyed “The Mist” original.
