Le retour de Colton McCreary à Bear Mountain n’a pas été aussi facile que prévu. Son visage abîmé a toujours attiré les regards indiscrets, mais pour une quelconque raison, ces mêmes regards lui pèsent dix fois plus, une fois de retour chez lui, parce qu’ils lui sont adressés par ceux qui jugent le clan tout entier pour de mauvaises raisons. Son anomalie ne fait qu’attiser leur dégoût. Il finit par se cacher dans l’ombre autant que possible, par ne devenir rien de plus qu’un simple spectateur de sa propre vie.
Brandon et Zander se voient offrir des vacances à Bear Mountain afin d’y rencontrer l’alpha. Les compétences médicales de Brandon n’ont pas échappé à Declan, et bon nombre d’habitants de la tanière souhaitent que le couple de shifters s’installe en ville, afin d’apporter de l’aide quant à la gestion de la nouvelle clinique. Dès leur arrivée, ils tombent immédiatement sur Colton et comprennent qu’il est leur compagnon en un regard.
Brandon est prêt à rester, mais Zander n’est pas certain que Bear Mountain puisse devenir leur foyer. Au-delà du fait qu’ils n’accueillent pratiquement que des shifters ours, et face aux attaques de loups-garous aux frontières du territoire… Zander craint qu’il soit préférable de s’en aller avant qu’il ne soit trop tard.
Auront-ils tous les trois suffisamment de temps pour parvenir à se lier avant que la violence n’éclate ?

Another fun read from Kelex. I love this author’s ability to keep a series fresh. I had so feared that this one would get stale after so many books, but I seem to enjoy each one that comes out as much as the previous ones!
This time the author has REALLY gone out on a limb. We might have bear on man sex…and we might have a polar bear on man sex at that. I was intrigued, and instantly had to rush to my Google “press and speak” bar on my phone. I now have absolutely no idea what will begin appearing in my Google searches, Amazon searches and Facebook suggestions going forward. We know they are all in cahoots, and share data…so let’s see what comes of my “How Big is a Polar Bear Penis?” query. Sadly it is only 7.3 inches! So much for bear sex. Very disappointed. LOL. OK, that was the one and only spoiler I’m giving you from the book!
In Cherished by His Two Bears, Kelex again takes us back to Bear Mountain and the bears we’ve come to know and love. This time the focus of the story shifts to Colton McCreary, who we’ve met in previous installments. He is one of the three older McCreary boys who ran away and then came back. Well, he is one of the two that actually came back to stay. Colton is the brother who was severely disfigured by the physical abuse from one of his fathers. The last of the beatings led to his smashed face which, because of the rapid healing of bear shifters and the lack of being properly set, never healed correctly. He is back in town, but hiding in the shadows.
Two bears have arrived in town at the request of the Alpha, Declan. They’re on vacation, an all-expense paid vacation, courtesy of the town. But is there an ulterior motive? As you probably remember from the previous installments, Declan has been talking about expanding the hospital along with adding new EMTs, but who is going to staff it?
Enter Brandon, a successful surgeon and university professor. Along with him is Zander, his partner. Brandon is entranced with the small town feel of Bear Mountain and not having to hide their shifter sides. Zander misses the big city. When they both stumble onto Colton and get one sniff…well, you’ve read the series…you know where I’m going with that…
I liked this installment, plus there is a chapter near the end that tells us who the next main character is. I had been hoping he would get a story!
Pick this one up today. If you haven’t been reading along…shame on you. The stories build on each other, and you would be a little lost starting in the middle. I recommend all the books in the series, so go back and get started immediately!

Diese Reihe ist irgendwie zu einer Art monatlichem Treffen geworden und durch sie lese ich inzwischen auch deutlich mehr Wandlergeschichten.
Ich kann weiterhin nicht sagen, dass mich diese vom Thema her besonders ansprechen oder mich die einzelnen Bücher wahnsinnig tief berühren, aber in der Regel fühle ich mich meist gut unterhalten und kann etwas abschalten.
So auch heute. Ich habe aus der Reihe schon etwas stimmigere gelesen, nichtsdestotrotz gefiel mir wieder, dass die Problematiken weiter aufeinander aufbauend sind und es immer mehr und detailliertere Einblicke in die Welt rund um Bear Mountain gibt. Dazu ist es schön zu lesen, wie die Personen, auch nachdem ihre Geschichten erzählt worden sind, mit den aktuellen Protagonisten und der Handlung verknüpft werden.
Ich bin kein allzugroßer Fan von vielen Perspektiven und drei sind es ja immer, durch die sich entwickelnden Beziehungen. Hier kommt noch ein bisschen durch ein Problem von außen dazu, welches nicht von den Hauptcharakteren im Buch beleuchtet werden kann. Das ist noch in Ordnung, der Verlauf wird dadurch jedenfalls nicht groß gestört.
Die Entwicklung gegen Ende empfand ich dieses Mal als etwas schnell abgehandelt, aber allgemein war es wieder unterhaltend und es hat mir einen guten Gefühlsmix geboten.

Un bon tome.
La psychologie des personnages est intéressante.
Leur relation est mignonne et on en apprend de plus en plus sur ce qu'il se trame depuis quelques tomes.
Même si j'en ai marre des McCreary, j'aime bien leurs tomes.
Ma chronique littéraire est purement personnelle ! Ce que j'ai dit à propos de ce livre est mon propre ressenti. Vous êtes libre de ne pas être d'accord avec moi.

Bear Mountain is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE series I'm reading right now, definitely my favorite mpreg shifter series, and one of the best menage relationship pairings series, too! The bar has been set pretty damn high with the last few stories, each continuing to advance the overall story and set things up for even more great things to come!
So...having said that, for me personally, this story didn't pack quite the punch that the last few did (eek, sorry!). I had been really looking forward to Colton's story, since my heart broke for everything that he had been through. I think that's why I wish his HEA had gotten a bit more time in the spotlight in this story, and he had gotten more time with Brandon and Zander before the book ended. There was a lot going on with the werewolves and the bears having to deal with them, so I know that took some time away from Colt, Brandon, and Zander.
I LOVE this series and I can't wait for more...there are plenty of characters to write stories for! I highly recommend this series, but I definitely think you need to start at the beginning, since these stories all build off one another.

Brandon was a self centered asshat. He said the words but his actions spoke otherwise. More page time spent on the failing long time relationship between Brandon and Zander. The addition of young virgin bear Colt felt out of place. Brandon and Zander referred to Colt as the third to bring them together. And Colt could keep Zander company since Brandon was gone so much. Only one sex scene with the three and it was rushed. Very unbalanced menage.

Omg I'm so happy for Colton. The hell, tortured pain he has lived through, the daily reminder just broke my heart. I'm so happy hes able to start living again, and find the love he deserves

I think it was one of my favourites so far, a bit more low key in terms of the relationship drama but with really interesting worldbuilding developments.

Disappointed
This was not my favorite in this series for sure...I liked Colton but I guess I expected more from his.story...it was too calm or something...I thought it would be emotional or have more emotion...it wasn't bad I just wanted more...off to book 13

Since book 10 author is just trying to get books done. Books use to be longer, more depth, more enjoyable. They are so rushed, barely a connection. You can feel how done the author is with series but trying to still put out content. Tiny bit of story progression. New mating. Book end. So empty.

A perfect mating triad
I loved that Brandon and Zander completely disregarded Colt's scarring from the very first. They recognized his beauty behind the scars, rather than just seeing the scars as his whole being. They were exactly what Colt needed, and he was what they needed.
