A Reverse Harem Romance

I didn't sign up for this.

Everything is a mess. My guys still haven't made up which makes our situation very difficult to navigate. What's worse, the tour starts in a few weeks so I'm going to have to get used to life without them for a while. But not before Matt's wife Candace comes to town and makes things awkward. And then there's Taz, who still has it out for me.

It's too much.

But one thing hasn't changed: my feelings for my guys. Actually, that's not exactly true. My feelings for Matt have definitely changed...but that's another story. I truly love them all and they love me, but I'm beginning to feel the pressure. Once the tour ends and life is normal again, I'm going to have to make a decision.

Happily ever after never comes easy, and before I made my decision, the path to happy took a few detours that I never saw coming.

I loved, I lost, I learned, and then I made the right choice for me.

***This is book 2, the final book in the Crave Series. Guaranteed HEA.

“Feelings get you twisted and discombobulated. Feelings get you to snotting and crying and messing up your Fenty face and ain’t nobody got time for that.”

Whew what a ride!! Book two was completely different from book one in the best way possible. This foursome has been living in their freaky bubble for months but didn’t take into consideration what their arrangement would look like in the real world!

This was new to them all and they all had very different ideas of what the aftermath would look like for their situation. After the rug was literally snatched from underneath them, they aren’t sure if they will ever recover. Secrets are exposed and hearts are broken. As the saying goes, “if something seems to go to be true then it probably is” and this was a too good to be true situation.

I’m happy that Skye had someone like Chaney in her corner because sis was a real one. I wasn’t sure what type of HEA we were going to get with a story of this magnitude however I was pleasantly surprised and ultimately really enjoyed this series! This has been on my TBR forever and I’m glad I was finally able to experience this crew.

If this book has shown me anything is that Shae Sanders is a bomb writer! The erotic scenes were steammmy! I feel that she truly brought to life this scenario for me. I do feel like the main character Skye was a bit selfish at times. It’s like she couldn’t understand the others feelings outside her own. Her even wanting Matt I personally thought was selfish. In the end I see how this situation worked for all of them but I truly feel like emotionally Skye wasn’t mature enough to handle all of these men and their emotions. She could barely handle her own. I also felt that men outside of Jamal weren’t mature enough either. Jamal ending felt a bit unresolved and I hope that means a future update on him. Overall I enjoyed this book, and learned that there is a lot more that goes into harem.

A journey of sexual freedom at its best!

This book……was….amazing! 🙌🏾🥵🔥 I just want to take a moment to give a round of applause to Shae Sanders for bringing us Crave. This reverse harem story was perfectly executed. I cannot believe I took this long to finally read it. Times are changing and sexuality is becoming more fluid and less black and white. Crave is the perfect book for these changing dynamics. Crave centers around the beautiful Skye and the legendary and talented men of the R & B group, Crave. Skye finds herself in close living quarters with these men and I was NOT prepared for what happens. When we think of polyamory, we think of multiple women sharing one male. But honnnnnneeeyyyyy Shae Sanders flipped the script on us! This story was liberating! I love how Skye was a black woman that took her power back when it comes to her sexuality. This book was a huge f you to the slut shamers. This has to one of the most freak nasty books I’ve come across. My poor panties had no chance! 🤣 The sex scenes were so well done and absolutely arousing! This story explores the polyamory lifestyle outside of just the sex. Skye’s needs were met by these men. A black woman been catered to and valued by a group of black men was so refreshing and very much deserved. Skye grew up without familial love and support and these men gave her that. Angelo, G, and Jamal found healing through Skye. It takes a special woman to balance and tame these varying personalities and this does speaks volumes of Skye. I absolutely loved her! I loved the guys as well! It takes a lot of security in a man’s masculinity to be in this lifestyle and I love them for that and everything they contributed to Skye and their lives together! Of course this lifestyle comes with its share of issues, on top of the fact that the guys are best friends, a famous singing group planning a reunion tour, and each of them have been harboring secrets from eachother! So you know things got verrry messy! This is a must read! This is a book that I know I’ll be reading over and over again! Amazing job Shae!

Just wowwww

This series was truly amazing. We don’t see a lot of books with this type of relationship and I’m glad the author wrote it. Loved the growth of each character. Definitely recommend reading.

I have a lot of feelings about this book.

Matt and his wife, just yuck. Sorry, I'm not about to play out your fantasies. I know Skye was open some what but just seemed no good. I'm glad they were able to be friends.

Jamal and his addiction, he tried and loved. Life gives us a lot of things, but trying to force things does more harms which is a lesson he will learn.

Lo and G ego is a hellava drug. I'm glad Chaney read them. I do think that this particular dynamic kitchen table style for major decisions would be best. I'm glad Skye, G, and Lo worked it out.

This book is a 3 bc Matt and his wife mess just irked me, lol

I enjoyed the breakdown of the lives of each of the characters. I appreciated how different real life issues were presented (i.e. grooming, parent/child relationship issues, drugs, etc.), discussed and worked through.

I know this book was written from the female’s perspective and focused on the main female character but I wish the sexual perspectives of the men involved in the relationship would have been discussed a little more (i.e. Did anyone ever question their sexuality based on their sexual encounters?).

I’m glad the author showed a black man righting his wrongs to the best of his ability. Jamal went back to his family after his relapse and was determined to make it right. I loved the honesty and determination showed in that situation.

She ended up with two, Lo & G, and she asked one of them to give her a baby. Lo said he would. The author ended the book right were it needed to end because I can only imagine how emotions, attitudes, and interests would have changed once Skye was pregnant and had the baby.

The spelling and grammar errors were too common in this book too. I understand the occasional error but if this book was proofread by a professional before the final draft… need to 🔥🔥🔥 their 🍑.

Shae, you did that honey! I knew that this one would be explosive, and you did not disappoint! The way you were able to make me genuinely "feel" something for all of these men, just as Skye had was just amazing! Loved how you were able to teach us about this unconventional lifestyle, without being too over the top. The drama, the angst, then the acceptance and love! My feelings and anxiety were all over the place with this one, wondering if there could be an HEA! I let out a big sigh of relief, as we got to the epilogue, and knew that all was right again! I hope this isn't the end, and I would love to see how this next phase of life pans out for Skye. Great read! 👍👍👍

Such a beautiful and amazing wrapup

I know at first I was confused on who I loved the most between G and Angelo but its definitely clear that I can't choose and they are both #bookhusband material. This was the perfect ending to the series and I still need more from Skye and her men. I'm glad Taz stop being a jerk for 5 seconds to help Jamal. My heart is with Jamal it can't be easy doing what is right when your hearts not in it. Shae showed out with this series and I enjoyed it in its entirety and I can't wait for more in the future

“Can Black girls do this?” The answer is yes! This is definitely gonna be on my favorite series of the year list. The author really went there, she stepped out of the box, up to the plate and hit a home run.

She tackled so many issues but not in a forceful way but a way to make you think. She did all that while giving you laughs, the naughtiest sex I’ve read in a while and love. That HEA was perfect and I can’t wait to see what she has in store next. Amazing read!

So far this is my favorite series of the year. I loved the way she took a taboo issue and made it acceptable. If this was possible in my life I would for sure try it. I loved the HEA especially because it wasn't in the traditional sense but everyone's life isn't traditional. Can't wait to read more from this author

This picks up after all of the secrets and fights break out in Crave Part 1, but I like that it wasn't really *too* angsty, all things considered. Since I'm not the biggest angst reader, I didn't like this one quite as much as book 1, but it was still so good.

I did absolutely love getting to meet Matt's wife, Candace, and seeing her interact with Skye. (Ngl, I really wanted a wlw scene though)

I can not describe how good this book is. I have read many, many, many poly books. All with multiple men. Never with a Black woman and Black men and I loved every minute of it.

I can relate to Skye. Why choose any one? Especially if it works with all.

If people can love their friends equally and differently and no one doubts that you can have multiple friends that you love, how far-fetched is it that a person can love multiple romantic partners equally and differently?

I loved the nuggets that Shae had in there about Black love, womanism, etc. I know her in real life so I loved those parts of the book. Made me so happy.

I laughed. I cried. And this was the result that I guessed would be how it ended. Including Skye's final thoughts.

Shae covers consent, grooming, sexuality, womanism, addiction with impeccable ease. Her books are relatable and just so good.

Mildly disappointed

Again conceptually I love everything about this series. I loved and appreciated the health doses of realism. Personally and as an avid lover of RH I would have preferred a different outcome but it definitely fit the book. I don’t like when the HEA is forced. Candace was trip but I really appreciate the role she played and purpose she served. And may god bless the Chaney’s of the world. I knew after Santa’s Helper Ms Sanders was going to be making solid appearances in my TBR and this solidified that.

not as good as the first.

I feel like a lot of nothing happened in book 2. Like we read what happened but didn’t experience it. Like what made Mal fall back into old habits? Just pressure? What was the point of hinting at something between Candace, Matt and Skye just for nothing to happen? Just to show that they were better as friends? Hate that they tried to make her choose but glad they accepted it and got it together. Actually didn’t see the end happening with Mal.

Two words...Rhythm and Blues. The surprise of finding her favorite group living next door takes Skye "down the rabbit hole." As she spends time with Angelo, Jamal, G, and Matt, the inevitable turns into reality. Feelings, anger, and unresolved hurt explode bigger than any of them could have imagined! Shae Sanders understood the assignment as it relates to reverse harem!

Is love enough?

We picked up right where we left off, Tax came through like the Tasmania Devil and opened Pandora's Box to expose all the secrets and lies of Crave's brotherhood. No one is speaking, except to Skye and she's playing mediator to all of her guys.Angelo has become sweet and attentive with her wrist being broken, but she can keep that talking about G all to herself. Matt is dead to him, if he won't talk to his mama, he damn sure won't talk to his cousin, and Jamal needs to come off his high horse. G isn't willing to accept things Skye has to say about his relationship with Genesis mother, and Matt...needs to be groveling on hands and knees. Skye's main issue is when the tour ends. The arrangement was originally for the time they had in the house, but she's fallen in love with the guys and vice versa. After meeting Angelo's Dad and G's daughter they want her to choose. Jamal is distant, but she knows he'll go with the flow. Skye isn't happy about Angelo and Gs ambush, Taz has outed their situationship and the guys feel some type of way, Skye's ex is refusing to allow her to be in her stepdaughter's life at all now, and they now have a bigger problem on their hand that no one saw coming. The conclusion was great, but I wanted just a little more. The book was awesome, don't get me wrong, but it didn't have the same pull as the first. I am grateful for the resolutions, but I still ache for Jamal. I'm happy that Skye found a friend in Candace even though Matt low-key was trying to keep them apart. Candace was his wife, but she was a woman too. Wives want to be smutted out des temps on temps! Screw that vanilla bean, we want all the flavors!😉

I need more CRAVE!!

Skye went up that little mountain and thought she was going to gain some peace, clarity and reinvent herself and instead walked right into her dream lol. When the boys first met her, they made a promise that they wouldn’t pursue her. That pack of course gets ignored and soon they’re all vying for her attention. Skye didn’t expect herself to be apart of it all, but how could she choose? Their feelings grew for Skye through the book past limits they never imagined and vice versa. But things change once Taz, the boys manager arrives and wrecks havoc on their fun. Secrets came out and caused a shift and disconnected between them all, driving Skye insane and putting her in the middle of the boys feud. My mouth hung open at some of it because constantly they referred to themselves as family and the shady stuff that was revealed determined that was a lie😂. Book two was a potential road to recover while the boys went on tour but more chaos arise causing the boys to back Skye into a corner and do something she truly didn’t want to do. Also Skye’s feelings for Matt, the married one.... Whew chile ✋🏾. We also get insight on Matt’s marriage to Candace who surprised me. Y’all this book was naaasty! Out of all the guys my favorite was G. Described as handsome AF and throughout the book he was sensitive too. He exuded confidence throughout his music which sold me and caused me to gravitated to him. Angelo was a close second. Overly cocky in everything that he did but sometimes got on my nerves 🙄😂.I enjoyed this series. It had a couple of gems, especially in part two. I was a bit sad at the ending😭. Ok.. a lot lol but it was definitely a good read!

Crave Part 2 is a solid 3.5 star read for me. When I finished Crave Part 1, I was eager for the second installment because author Shae Sanders left us with what could be described as a cliffhanger. But Part 2 doesn't investigate that cliffhanger further (as a matter of fact it seems like the Sanders wanted to show readers that Skye (FMC) has grown, so there's absolutely NO exploration of her problems with her ex-husband Dante). The result? I'm left wondering why Sanders didn't just write one book.

I've given these stars mostly for the writing. The passage below really sums up what would be the premise of the book, if Shae Sanders explored it a bit more: "I don't know why I ever thought this could work out for me. What the hell was I thinking?" "You were thinking men do this shit all the time. You just got caught up and forgot that the rules are different for us. The world just ain't ready for brother-husbands."

Spice: 🥵🥵🥵
Final rating: 3.5 stars

Content Warnings:
Graphic: Sexual content and Cursing
Moderate: Alcohol, Drug use, Drug abuse, and Addiction
Minor: Lesbophobia, Alcoholism, Abandonment, Medical content, Pedophilia, Drug use, Adult/minor relationship, Toxic relationship, and Homophobia

Riveting, Enticing and simply Beautiful!

This story gives the good good and is very descriptive so you’re getting the succulent details and inner most thoughts of the characters that is a riveting, enticing and beautifully written story. Author Shae Sanders is remarkably talented with her depiction, her insight, depth to the plight of the integrity of the characterization in how she weaves this lovely tale.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series that shed a light on polyamory while Black. This reverse harem was beautifully written capturing the essence of love through all the skepticism, doubt, judgement, apprehension and fear everyone has in sharing a body.

Skye, Lo, G, Mal and Matt found each other and took the shame and doubt from the negative and through the basic human need to be wanted and desired unconditionally, they made a family.

I can say so much more but you should read for yourself how love heal, soothes, opens and conquers hearts and minds to possibilities.

Brava Shae Sanders…Brava👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Bravo to the author!

This author can really craft a storyline that is engaging especially with this particular content that is seldom discussed. There is so much to glean as to why this topic is considered taboo in our community and the author held nothing back in revealing those complexities and truth. One of my struggles with this book was Matt, why did Skye felt like that he should be considered? I wasn't a fan of it even though his wife Candace was not tripping but I felt Skye was being selfishly greedy. The other part of the story that concerned me was Jamal, what really triggered him to go back into his dark place. I felt some kind of way about him and hope that he finds his HEA because whew, he deserves it. I still applaud this author for this work, this series and plan to read more of her works.

This series is a great introduction into the polyamrous lifestyle for Black couples

Someone recommended this series and it definitely didn't disappoint!! This story was everything! This helps you see the other side of the polyamrous lifestyle that's different from how society and pornography views it. Skye was truly a brave woman to do what she did. It's not hard to see why she fell in love with all 4 men in all aspects. There were definitely some twists and surprises that I wasn't expecting. Of course the sex scenes were explosive and made you feel as if you were watching a naughty movie because of how vividly descriptive those scenes were. This was my first time reading a book and series from this author and it surely won't be the last.

If They Like It…

Hmmmm 🤔..”if they like it, I love it”⁉️ Honestly, I don’t understand how/why someone would willfully engage and or share their intimate partner with multiple people let alone friends/housemates? …I felt violated (for Skye) reading of their various intimate encounters. Nevertheless, as I navigated through Skye & her Crave family’s weird poly arrangement (barely), I realized there was no formal agreement (other than the obvious, to satisfy sexual desires). Ultimately, Skye as well the other participants still don’t address the basic human desire companionship and love. Thereafter, yes I completed “Crave 2: A BW/BM Reverse Harem Romance” but it wasn’t my favorite read.

Speechless 🤭

This author outdid herself with this series. She created the best characters and it is for sure a page tuner. I would have called Sky all kinds of names until I begin to see another perspective. It was so well written I felt as though it was not fiction at all.

The author actually showed the characters how to use their voice to communicate and she dealt with so many aspects of life. This time it was not about men being in control.

I think the warnings at the beginning of the book is great 😉

Wow! 😜

I was sceptical at first but, DAMN, this series was HOT and SEXY!¡! 💥 A fantasy that I didn't even know I had. I appreciated the relationships and nuances she had with each man although I personally wish she woulda chosen Angelo. I felt he loved her completely and differently than the other two but I also understand that the guys would not have been able to remain friends. Great read and my guy thanks the Author too! 😏

not a step missed!

Crave 2 just as good as book one! The question of if a black woman can be allowed to love who and how she wishes to love is prevalent throughout this book. Skye is forced to have to make a choice because society doesn’t accept the relationships she has with her men. Crave is just so damn good and well written. I hated to say good bye to the characters in this book. Skye remains my hero!’
