Lady Ruby Earnston took a DNA test but when she travelled to Reading to meet a relative, who didn’t appear on the Earnston family tree, she was floored by what she learned. Transported back to 1822 she is drawn into London Society, she also turns the head of the handsome Carter Folley, the Duke of Onslow. Her time in Regency England is scarce only six weeks uncover the truth about her ancestors. However compelling the attraction between them burns, even their burgeoning desire cannot bridge the gap of time.
This is the third book in the series & is easily read on its own. I loved this well written engrossing book. I loved both Carter & Ruby, their attraction to each other sizzled from their first meeting but they agreed to be friends but the more time they spent together the more their feelings grew. I loved how their feelings for each other grew but Ruby knew that she couldn’t stay in nineteenth century England but how could she leave Carter? I found this to be an emotional read & was in tears for the last quarter. The epilogue was a complete tear jerker & a perfect ending
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Enjoyed this story immensely. I'd love to go back to Regency days, wouldn't like to stay too long though. Love the whole series of time travellers. Brilliant. 5☆

Ruby, having done an DNA test, finds a very unlikely, unbelievable, impossible result! To investigate she gives a rather sizeable donation to TimeArch to travel back to meet her great grandparents Sarah and Eric (A Stolen Season) she has a letter of introduction and Sarah and Eric give Ruby a very loving welcome. Sarah gives Ruby advice not to flirt, and not to fall in love. Ruby meets Carter. Carter is Eric's friend. Sarah wants Ruby to be careful - not to form any attachments, only be friends, and definitely don't fall in love....

I am in awe of this book, theres not many i have read in which i feel complete jealousy of the fact she could travel in time and meet her great grandparents, and that they are so loving towards her. I really loved the way that the story developed i was completely hooked and couldn't put the book down!! I loved the character developments and that the family was very loving and supportive of Ruby and later of Carter. Its a beautifully crafted love story of the ages. The book has become one of my favourites and its one i've already reread! and will definitely be rereading again. Its that special! The characters are well described, with their personality, character development, flaws and strengths. Theres plenty of mystery, angst, suspense, romance, friendship, and love. Told from dual POV Ruby and Carter's thoughts, feelings and emotions are described and a reader can feel empathy for them and become invested in the story. There's an HEA!!

Tamara Gill’s “A Stolen Season: London” is book 3 in this fabulous series.

Ruby is such a delightful character! Lady Ruby Earnston discovered she was related to Harrison Baxter through his daughter, Sarah, the Countess of Earnston, who time travel to and is alive in 1822. Learning about TimeArch from Harrison, with a desire to learn about our family history Ruby goes back to 1822, to meet her great, great, great, great grandmother and grandfather. It is there she meets the 6th Duke of Onslow, Carter Folley. Oh no, Ruby only has six weeks in the past and then she returns to her own time. Falling in love will only complicate things and break hearts, her and his. She can’t possibly fall in love, can she?

I just love a good time travel romance and this book checks out all the right boxes! With great characters both main and secondary, excellent writing style, and an intriguing romance and love story the author renders a beautifully written romance you are sure to enjoy.

Thank you so much Ms. Gill for this lovely, romantic story of love.

A Stolen Season: London
A Stolen Season #3
Tamara Gill
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lady Ruby Earnston lives in the twenty-first century however she discovers through an ancestry DNA test that there is a hiden family secret and she wants to find out what it is so she decides she wants to go and see for herself. Transported back to 1822 Lady Ruby meets her ancestors who glady accept her into the family so that she can see first hand what a London Season is all about.
As she is drawn into London Society, she also turns the head of the handsome Carter Folley, who is a Duke himself.

Her time in Regency England is scarce. She only has the one Season to uncover the truth about her ancestors. But it doesn't take long, just a few weeks to dance, be seduced, and fall in love. Something she swore she would not do, but no matter how strong the attraction between them is. Nothing can come of it as she's going back to the twenty-first century and there is nothing that can bridge the span of time.

Tamara Gill is absolutely fabulous. This author can take any historical time frame, add time travel and have a great book. The characters were both so perfect for each other that I wanted to cry out at the injustice of them being so far apart in time. They both had such an honest unconditional love that you couldn't help, but secretly root for them in every possible way. These two had to be together. All in all this was a fantastic book that had me from the get go and sucked me right in, spitting me out with a happy smile left on my lips.
Ms. Gill I absolutely adore your time travel novels and I do hope you will be writing more at some point in the future.

This was such a fun and fabulous story I read it in one day, could not put it down! I have not read any of this series and feel that you don't need to in order to enjoy this one.
Lady Ruby travels back time to 1822 to find out about her family history and falls in love, but what will she do when she has to leave and return to 2021?
The whole storyline in this novel was so interesting and creative, it was nice to get lost in the story. The writing is superb and very strong, the editing looks good.
Steamy scenes- yes, two of them. Kissing throughout.
Loved the twist at the end.

Critiques- not much in the way of character background or development at all, we learn a little of Ruby but I felt more was needed.
-Carter's sister-in-law was a fun touch and I so badly wanted to see Ruby tell her off but she was dropped from the story midway through and we never hear from her or speak of her again.
-The contrast between the time periods didn't seem to be noted much by Ruby, she slipped too easily into 19th-century life and even spoke as they would have. I really think she needed to keep her 21st-century mouth and note some differences, or at least be somewhat awkward at first at fitting in. This is what makes me not believe in a time travel story.
-Carter never questions the fact that she is not a virgin yet is concerned about ruining her reputation.
-How she time travels is never revealed (which while it would have been intriguing to know, doesn't make or break this story).
-Some repetition on the fact that the sister-in-law dumped Carter for his brother.

So why 5 stars? The storyline and writing is just great, it is an entertaining story that will pull you in and give you good feels.
I received an advanced copy in exchange for my review.

I just finished reading the three books in this series. Though time travel is not one of my favorites, I find these books interesting, particularly since I’m also interested in genealogy. The concept boggles my mind BUT I love the love story! The forbidden love, the constricts of time, even warnings from all involved could not keep these two away.

I do recommend reading these books in order since the stories build on each other.

Lady Ruby Earnston the only daughter of the Earl of Earnston just found out a great secret of her family.
She has a relative living in 1822 England!! She has just been granted time travel back to meet her many times Grandmother and spend six weeks during the Season. Ruby wants to see and be in the rush of the balls and events.
After meeting her Grandparents, Sarah and Eric who are more than welcoming she is ready to get started.
At the first ball she meets Eric's best friend, The Duke of Onslow, Carter Folley. He is a kind gentleman and also a rouge. He is very handsome, sweet and her grandmother has told her to behave. They cannot be anything but friends, or can they ??
What a cute love story across time and two really great H and h. Both have had sad times in their past and secrets too.
It's a fun read with some steamy parts but the interaction between the two is wonderful. The Epilogue is the best, perfect for this story... I loved this book. I have read book one and now book three, I can't wait to go back and read the book two.. I need to fill in the rest of the story..
Be sure and get you copy and get started you will not be sorry. Or better yet buy all three and read them in order.
I received and ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it.

I received "A Stolen Season: London" from the fabulous Tamara Gill and voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I never thought I would lile time travel books but Tamara Gill has a way with words that puts her readers right in the middle of the story experiencing all the emotions of the characters, and making two completely different time periods movement seem flawless
Lady Ruby Earnston travels back in time to meet her grandmother who is someone from Ruby's present time who decided to stay back in a different time perod for the sake of love. While enjoying this old London, she meets Carter Folley, Duke of Onslow. They start enjoying each other's company but Ruby knows nothing can come from their relationship because of her previous diagnosis of cancer and thus her inability to stay in the 1800s if she were to get sick again. What ensues is a story of love, passion and commitment.

Lady Ruby Earnston has questions, lots of questions as to why one of her ancestors looks surprisingly like the daughter of TimeAr hs founder and why did a DNA test link her to him.  The answers she gets not only shocks her, but intrigues her enough to make her want to travel back in time to the Regency Era to meet Sarah Baxter, the late Lady Earnston her great, great grandmother.

Ruby only wishes to experience the season, it's balls, soirees, culture and to connect with her great grandparents to find out why she choose to give up all that she knew for a place in history and she has six weeks in which to do so. Love was never an option and neither was staying in a time where medicine could not heal her should a childhood disease return to claim her.

Carter Folley, Duke of Onslow is on the hunt for a wife, a woman who will complete his ever changing world. As a second son he never expected to become a Duke and was wholly unprepared for the task ahead and with his late brother's wife sniffing at his heels he needs to procure a wife to stave off her advances. Meeting Ruby someone so like Sarah his friend's wife is a revelation and slowly he begins to fall despite his friend's warnings, Carter can start to see a future with Sarah, but how to convince her to stay.

The more time they spend together the more they fall. Will the truth that Ruby must tell Carter make or break them as Ruby must go home as she could never stay. Will Carter stay or sacrifice everything for love.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ruby and Carter's story, I couldn’t put it down the epilogue was beautiful and fitting for such a wonderful couple who gave up so much for love. Tamara Gill has once more weaved her magic around this couple's story and it was lovely to catch up with Sarah and Eric.

Carter must choose between staying in the past and coming forward to the present.
As usual Tamara Gill has written a winner.

A love story that travels through time. Curiosity sends Lady Ruby Earnston to unravel a family secret discovered by a DNA test. This discovery allows her to travel back in time to the year 1822 to meet her four great-grandparents. While visiting, she falls in love. However, she cannot stay in the past and must leave her true love behind. Can Carter Folley, Duke of Onslow, live without his true love? The wonderful characters make for an exciting read. I don't read many time travel books, but this is worth the time.

Lady Ruby Earnston is the eldest daughter of the Earl of Earnston. Curious about her family she takes a DNA test. It comes back that she has a living relative, she did not know about. She must meet him and find out about the other side of her family. She goes back to meet her Grandparents and take part in the season. She has only six weeks and she must return. She is introduced to Carter Foley, the Duke of Onslow. The attraction is immediate. Carter is her grandfather's best friend.

I loved this novel. It was sweet and kind. The love flows throughout the entire story. It is beautifully written and moves smoothly. It keeps a comfortable pace and is entertaining. It is a little risqué but still an excellent book.

I received this ARC from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

I must admit first and foremost that I am not a fan of time traveling stories. However, this one was lovely. I really enjoyed the premises having Ruby being sent back to Eric and Sarah. Carter is a dear and Ruby is a true 21st century woman, with opinions, ideas and a beautiful personality. I have loved getting to know them and was glad how their love story turned out to be!

Travel in time to meet your hearts love?
This was a wonderful time-travel love story. When the heroine finds out she has a relative she never knew she goes and checks it out not expecting what she finds out. This will lead to an adventure and man who is just the right one for her. There is a problem and it is a pretty big too. I love how the story played out it was such an enjoyable read. If you like Ms. Gill this is a books should not miss! I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

3.5 STARS

I am not a fan of time travel stories. Usually, not everything I want explained is answered. This had some of it for me.

The character's are engaging and I enjoyed the interactions between the h and her relatives in the past. The H had his heart broken and knows he must seek a wife to continue the line. The h travels back in time to meet her 4 times great grandparents. I isn't explained how she exactly time traveled nor how she came back. I'm assuming some machine, but how did she leave to go back to the 21st Century - unanswered! I wanted her to have reactions to having to use the chamber pot, doing without deodorant or any other hygiene, etc. This was only touched on barely in one sentence.

I wanted to know the reaction from the H's sister in law when he left. What became of her life?

There is lovemaking outside of marriage - heat level 5 out of 5 and described twice. In this time period women were expected to be virgins. He didn't have a reaction when she wasn't.

The ending was emotional and raised my rating. No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, some romance and steam. The Lord's name used once.

I received an advanced copy, all opinions are my own and freely given. (ljb)

Delightful Regency Time-Travel Romance

Regency romance is my favorite subgenre of love story, and I adore well-written time-travel romance as well. Though I am a voracious reader, I've only seen a handful of Regency time-travel romances. This was an immensely enjoyable one. I like how the author set up the time travel aspect (a secret contemporary scientific enterprise), as it could certainly lead to more time travel stories. I especially like the way the author portrayed the hero, with a little contemporary sense built in. The heroine had him blushing at times… loved that! The heroine actually goes back in time to spend part of a London season with her several-times great-grandparents. Her grandmother is actually a modern woman who chose to stay in the past because she met her true love there. Will the heroine of this story choose to do the same when she meets and falls for the hero? You'll have to read the book to find out. But if you enjoy Regency and time-travel romances, this is a great combination of those delightful subgenres of romance.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

This is a time travel romance. Ruby goes back in time to meet her family, and when she is there, she also meets a Duke, Carter, who she does not want to fall in love with because she can not stay in the 1800’s. Carter falls in love with Ruby and wants to marry her, but this is a problem with them living 200 years apart. This story is well written and enjoyable. This book is the 3rd book in the series, and I have not read the other books, and I was not lost at all. I might have had some questions on how they time travel and know exactly where they are going, which might have been answered in previous books, but it did not really matter because I was more interested in the love story of the book and not the details. I have enjoyed previous books by this author, and I was not disappointed in this one. I also like how the Epilogue gave a little closure.
I received an ARC of this book by the author and have decided to leave my honest opinion.
