New York Times Bestselling author, Connie Queen married her high-school sweetheart. Together they’ve raised eight children and are enjoying their grandchildren. As a child, Connie remembers her mom and sisters reading, but she preferred to be outside. It wasn't until later, she found the joy of being whisked away into another world. Today she resides in Texas with her husband, and Murphy, her Great Dane, where she’s working on her next suspense.
I’ve always had a soft spot for suspense with the added challenge of keeping a baby safe. This one was non-stop action and this is a new author I’m glad to have discovered.
Texas Christmas Revenge is an awesome story of the love between sisters, transcending fear as Brandi searches for the truth even as a killer hunts her down. Connie Queen has done it again with a fantastic suspense-filled story in Texas Christmas Revenge. Brandi’s determination to protect her nephew and Rhett’s willingness to fight for her makes this book an unputdownable read. Action packed with a plot twist that left me saying, “Whaaaaaaaat? No way!”
Quotables: “He was going to make this right. No matter how long it took, the lady he had once hoped to share his life with deserved his love and respect. If she could find it in her heart to give him the chance.”
Texas Christmas Revenge was a story packed with suspense and danger around every corner. Right from the beginning of the story, bullets fly and the heroine, Brandi, barely escapes with her life. I liked that Brandi was thrown together with her ex-fiancé, Rhett. It became very clear that these two would need to rely on each other and that Brandi would have to let down her guard and trust Rhett once again in order to survive.
This novel really kept me guessing and wondering who was behind all the attempts on Brandi’s life. There was also the question of whether Brandi’s sister was still alive, and if she was, why had she stayed away for two years. On top of that, Brandi was convinced that the investigation surrounding her late father had been handled badly. Brandi had so much baggage and hurt to deal with while also trying to care for the toddler she found.
I felt bad for both of these characters and the way their lives were ripped apart two years earlier. They went from a happy relationship to a painful breakup in the midst of scandal. It made for tense feelings at times during the story, yet I thought Rhett showed that he truly cared what happened to Brandi and that he would do all he could to help her. This is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
When a baby is found abandoned, and a 911 call raises a powerful question, things begin to move along swiftly in this very good suspense book from Connie Queen. Action packed and full of surprises from the get-go, this one will satisfy any fan of inspirational suspense. But remember: nothing is ever what it seems. Good read!
My thanks to the publisher and author for a copy of this book. The opinion here is my own.
Wow to another great book by Queen! Brandi is a 911 dispatcher and is at work when she gets a strange call, believing it to be her missing sister she immediately goes to the location the caller mentions and finds a deserted child. Things only escalate from there until she is forced to seek out her ex-fiance for help as a last resort to keep the child safe.
Rhett is getting ready for work when Brandi shows up on his property with a mysterious child in her custody. Even though they broke up, he is eager to protect them both AND gets answers. Is there really a leak in the sheriff's office? Is Brandi's kid sister still alive after all this time?
Brandi and Rhett will have to stick together if they're going to get answers and justice for Brandi's family. Truly loved Rhett's sister, Pam. She went over and above to help Brandi and the child, no questions asked :)
Queen truly knows how to write a satisfying story from the first chapter and keep my attention throughout! Never knew who the culprit was either. So well written!
Thanks to the author and publisher for the free copy provided. I was not required to write a positive review. The thoughts and comments are my own.
A broken engagement leaves two souls hurting, each going their separate ways, but neither willing to truly let the other go in their hearts. When Brandi finds herself swallowed up in a mystery that has plagued her family for years, there is only one man that she can turn to with whom she knows, even if her heart isn’t ready to trust again. This time around there is a sweet little boy who clings to her, a tot that she is sure belongs to her missing sister. Now if she can prove the truth that she has known all along, her family’s innocence, while also protecting this precious child’s life, as well as her own life, mind, and heart.
From the get-go the action is a swift push into the suspenseful narrative, but I never once felt lost. Brandi is so desperate to find her sister, and that is something the reader feels right along with her. I can also understand her mistrust of Rhett, especially when the details of their failed engagement come to light, though her keeping him at arms length for as long as she did became tiresome for me.
You can instantly tell that Rhett is one of those men with a heart of gold, and the fact that he is willing to put up with Brandi’s distrust, while also putting his life on the line for her and sweet little Levi, says so much about his character.
Though full of suspense, there were moments that lagged for me, and I found myself skimming the pages to get back to the action. I do feel like the characters were well fleshed-out, I just fought to connect with them on more than a superficial level. The writing itself was descriptive, painting a good word picture, and did not leave me wanting. My favorite part, hands down, were the few twists at the end that actually had me shaking my head in dismay. I had an inkling who was behind it all, but one twist in particular had eluded me the entire time, and was a pleasant plot twist.
All in all, this was a decent suspenseful read with a holiday twist, and one I could see reading while cozying up next two a twinkling Christmas tree.
*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours. All views and opinions are completely honest, and my own.
Brandi Callahan's life was thrown into a big mess when her father was accused of stealing money and was later found dead. Then her little sister disappeared and was assumed dead. But now Brandi is convinced that Sadie is alive and is in trouble. But she has no one to turn to as the citizens of Mulberry Gap turned against her and her family when she most needed them. But when someone seems intent on ending her life she has no choice but to turn to the one man whose betrayal hurt the most, her ex-fiancé.
Texas Ranger Rhett Kincaid never meant to hurt Brandi, but he had to follow orders. Now the very thing that broke them up has brought them back together Could Brandi's long-missing sister truly be alive? And who is trying to kill Brandi? He'll do everything in his power to keep her safe. Could this threat have anything to do with the accusations leveled against her late father? And if so why did the killer wait so long to act?
Texas Christmas Revenge draws the reader into the action and danger from the opening scene and the suspense grows with each page. Join Brandi as she fights for the truth and tries to keep a little boy safe from the very people who want her dead. If she lives through this danger could she get a second chance at friendship and love? Or has the rift that has divided her from everyone caused too much damage?
If you are looking for clean reading suspense that offers unexpected twists and the promise of a romance look no further than this book. I will admit Brandi is an angry young woman who, though her anger is somewhat justified, seems too intent on holding onto it and her mistrust too tightly. But overall I would recommend this book for a weekend read.
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations - all thoughts expressed are my own.
911 dispatcher Brandi Callahan takes a call that sounds like her presumed dead sister that leads her back to the family farm and terrified little boy. She is determined to get to the bottom of things even if it means depending on ex-fiancé and Texas Ranger Rhett Kincaid.
A small town pariah, Brandi never stopped believing that her sister had survived despite what everyone else said. I loved Brandi's determination and how she is fiercely protective of Levi. I liked how she and Rhett worked together, realizing how much they cared about each other.
It is an action packed read full of twists and turns along the way, with an explosive ending. This was a fast read, I didn't want to put it down. An engaging plot, strong characters, action, with an adorable little boy, an inspirational suspense that you won't want to miss!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Texas Christmas Revenge is an action-packed drama with lots of twists and turns. Though all the evidence indicated that her sister was dead, Brandi refused to believe it.
Brandi's singlemindedness was admirable and a little frustrating. I liked that she kept trying to find her sister when everyone had given up, but there were times when she was downright reckless in her pursuit. She also stubbornly held on to her opinion that Rhett wasn't being sincere and that no one was willing to help her.
I would have liked to see more of her faith come out as she learned to lean on God and was glad when she was able to see differences between her unforgiveness and God's willingness to forgive.
Readers will be reminded that we need to trust others even though some people will disappoint us. Otherwise, we will be filled with bitterness and unforgiveness which is not what God wants for any of us.
I received an advanced reader's copy from the publisher through Just Read Tours; a positive review was not required.
I didn’t feel like Texas Christmas Revenge by Connie Queen was a packed full of action as other Love Inspired Suspense books. But that’s a good thing.
The breathing room allowed me to get to know Rhett and Brandi better. They’ve got some baggage—both together and separately. I appreciated that Rhett was bound and determined to not make the same mistake twice. Brandi has relied on herself the past two years, but she’s going to have to put her trust in Rhett to stay alive.
There’s also the question of who little Levi belongs to (and I have to say, the way he says Rhett’s name is absolutely adorable), what really happened to Brandi’s dad, and who is behind it all. Yes, there are a few intense action scenes that will get your heart racing and you won’t want to put the book down until you discover the truth.

This fast paced suspense book was really enjoyable to read and hard to put down once I started it. I really liked Texas Ranger Rhett and his determination to protect his ex fiance Brandi from danger despite his personal feelings. Lots of non stop running away and action as Brandi and Rhett try to figure out who is trying to kill them and what happened to Brandi's missing sister. I have read other books by this author and highly recommend this book as well. I love reading Love Inspired Suspense books by Harlequin because they have clean suspense and romance along with thrilling and fascinating characters and story lines. Most LIS books even include faith, forgiveness and recognizing God's love which I really enjoy reading about as well. I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
Rhett and Brandi were once engaged. The possibility of her missing sister brings them together which becomes a race for their lives and that of her sister. Corruption, cover-ups, and an assault on her life and her sisters make her face horrible memories from her past.
Texas Christmas Revenge is about family, relationships, acceptance, and forgiveness. A time of second chances and leaning on the Lord for comfort and strength. The main characters are relatable and down-to-earth and my emotions were on a roller-coaster ride as they fought against one assault after another. The ending wrapped up everything nicely and answered the mystery built up throughout the story.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and voluntarily choose to review it.
There's a chilling creep factor to the opening scene that morphs into a flurry of danger and action. An abandoned toddler, a missing-presumed-dead sister and the tragic history of a closed case that never felt right to Brandi. In fact, the emotional fallout was at the root of her split with Rhett. But now, fate has brought them together again, puzzling over the same issues that pulled them apart...only this time they're coming up with more questions then answers all while being pursued by a relentless killer.
A reunion romance paired with a twisty-turny suspense that leads Brandi and Rhett on a race against time -- to solve the mystery and possibly (probably, this is a Love Inspired Suspense after all) heal their broken hearts.
This was an excellent suspense read! I really liked the mystery angle of this story and little Liam was an adorable heart stealing character. This book really kept me guessing, my suspected villain through out the read was completely wrong and the ending was exciting and fantastic. This is one of the best Love Inspired Suspense ones I have read, and I have read a ton of them. Great Read!

In this small Texas town, there are many secrets. Brandi Callahan is the daughter of a man who was accused of stealing the million dollars in the town’s tornado fund. After this he committed suicide and Brandi’s sister disappeared. She was presumed dead, but Brandi wouldn’t believe it. Brandi was treated with suspicion by the entire town, because the money was never found.
After Brandi received a 911 call at work, she was sure that the caller was her sister. The message was for her to go to her grandparent’s farm. When Brandi arrived she found a toddler in the barn and then there were strange men and gunshots. Brandi barely escaped with the child and drove to the only safe place she knew…..her ex-fiancé’s house. Rhett was a Texas Ranger and she knew she could trust him.
This book is really exciting and truly suspenseful. I found it to be well written and captivating in every way. I read it quickly and couldn’t put it down. The characters were very believable and the constant action contained intervals of emotion. The killer was consumed with revenge! Could anyone stop him before he finished his killing spree?
This is a clean romance and inspirational suspense. I really enjoyed it.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Texas Christmas Revenge may be my first ever Connie Queen novel but I can tell you with complete certainty that it won't be my last. This Love Inspired Suspense book had me riveted from page one and I couldn't seem to flip those digital pages fast enough to keep up.
Texas Christmas Revenge was one tense Love Inspired Suspense novel. I enjoyed the long-lost-and-presumed-dead sister plot, though I really thought Rhett should have explained to Brandi a long time ago why he seemed to have not helped look for her sister. I had plenty of thoughts and ideas as to who was guilty of what, and some of them proved correct, but Connie Queen also threw in enough surprises to keep me a little off kilter, definitely intrigued, and quite entertained.
I really enjoyed Texas Christmas Revenge, it was a great way to check out Connie Queen's romantic suspense, and I think it was one of the best Love Inspired Suspense novels that I've read recently. It's a standalone book and I highly recommend you check it out as soon as you can...
(I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)
Texas Christmas Revenge is an action packed mystery suspense with a strong romantic element added for good measure. Another second chance romance novel, emergency dispatcher Brandi Callahan must turn to her ex-fiance Texas Ranger Rhett Kincaid for help after receiving a cryptic message from a person who seems to be her missing and assumed dead sister.
The fast paced plot moves from one dangerous scene to another from the very start as Brandi and Rhett do everything they can to protect the toddler Brandi believes to be her nephew, even as the threat to their own lives continues to escalate.
Another suspense filled offering from Love Inspired Suspense, Texas Christmas Revenge kept me turning the pages on my tablet as quickly as I could read them. I enjoyed the many twists and turns as well as surprises along the way and was quite satisfied with the resolution to the mystery.

I really LOVE to read LOVE Inspired Suspense novels. Texas Christmas Revenge by Connie Queen is the latest book I have read. Connie Queen is a new to me author.
WOW, I was captivated from the very first couple of pages of the book. I can honestly say that is probably the fastest I have been hooked into a storyline ever! Brandi Callahan finds an abandoned toddler and she knows there is only one person who can help her find out who this toddler belongs to. Rhett Kincaid is a Texas Ranger and also Brandi's ex-fiancé. Brandi is desperate to find her sister who has been missing for a few years and wonders if there is any connection with the Toddler to her sister. Rhett and Brandi work together and solve many parts of this Mystery. They are also putting their own lives at risk as someone is lurking who might want them killed. I really appreciate how Faith was woven into the book. Texas Christmas Revenge is a book about Second Chances, Faith, Family and Forgiveness. I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone who likes Mystery and Suspense, and with Christianity!
This was a fast paced suspense story that kept me guessing! Brandi Callahan has lived a closed off life ever since her dad died, following a small town scandal, and her sister's disappearance. Two years later, she serves as a dispatcher, and receives a 911 call from someone asking for help that sounds exactly like her sister. This begins an adventure where she discovers many things about her family and herself, and her ex-fiancee, that she could've never foreseen. I thought that the characters were well written and I couldn't figure out who the villain was. This was action packed, and it kept me turning the pages into the night! I did wish the romance could have been more developed, but otherwise really enjoyed this one. This was my first one by this author and I was thankful to get the opportunity to read it! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
What a ride! This book definitely kept me guessing until the very end. I appreciated that I didn't see it coming at all. Every intense moment had me on the edge of my seat, hopeful for a good outcome. This read is perfect for fans of suspense.
Though I wasn't Brandi's biggest fan throughout most of the book, she's been placed in such a difficult position and I admired her tenacity in advocating for her family. On the other hand, I was a fan of Rhett almost from the beginning. He's just trying to do the best he can with what he's given, and I think the author really captured his struggle well.
Overall, this is a fantastic Love Inspired Suspense novel! I recommend it for fans of the genre.
I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the author. All expressed opinions belong to me.
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Texas Christmas Refuge. Connie is a fairly new author for LIS. I really enjoy her work. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense. I know you are going to love it.
Brandi Callahan is an emergency dispatcher. She receives a 911 call that can only be from her presumed-dead sister. The call takes her to her grandparent's barn. There in the tack room, she finds a toddler in grandpa's rusted-out truck. As she runs toward the house shots are fired. A deputy orders her to stop but as the shooting kept up he commands her to get down and calls for backup. She runs to her car as the deputy falls to the ground. What is going on? She goes to the only man she can trust.
Texas Ranger Rhett Kincaid had just finished a run when a car pulled into his drive. Who would be here at five fifteen in the morning? As Brandi got out of the car a second car came barreling down his drive. Shots are fired and Brandi takes off. Rhett jumps in his truck to help his ex-fiance. Who would be after Brandi? Why would she want his help?
A terrifying journey to find the baby's mother and find out what is going on before the killer finds them. God has a plan for these two broken souls. A plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a plan for peace and not for destruction even in these times of turmoil. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
As soon as I saw this was touring with JustRead, and knowing I’d only get an eBook, I decided to use my Amazon gift card balance to get this book. And, right off – I knew it was going to be a good one. It had its own tale of woes. Took five (5) days to get to me. Even after landing in my area, it was delayed for three (3) days. The day it was to be delivered (10/26)? Twice it was delayed in delivery. The next day (10/27)? Another delay.
When a book starts a journey like that – you know it might might be a “must-read”. Call from a presumed deceased sibling, an abandoned little toddler, being shot at, chased, and a car nearly plunging off of tree limbs – all before the end of chapter one. Yup, definitely got my interest there. Right off, I didn’t want to put it down.
Getting back to the cover – this right off has an ominous and sinister tone to it. And, that poor little bear! Believe it or not, what happens to the bear was the worst part, for me. Yeah, I know it is a teddy bear – but look at it! Poor thing!
Moving on …
In addition to the cover, and being the genre I like – it is set in Texas. Any romantic suspense novel set in Texas (or most any book there) – I’m definitely in for reading it.
But, also, the plot grabbed me – a 9·1·1 dispatcher in trouble, a little boy, and a Texas Ranger. And, already? It seems like the sheriff’s department has it in for Brandi.
Who is the little boy? Is Brandi’s missing sister, Sadie, still alive?
Queen hits the ground running on this one. Even for a short, “snack-book”, this is an intense, action-packed, edge of seat read. The short chapters definitely keep the story on pace and doesn’t let up until the very end. By halfway it went from “can’t put it down” to “HAVE TO KEEP READING”.
As far as characters go, while I understood Brandi’s urgency to find her sister – it was annoying after a while. Rhett, bless his heart, was trying to find her while keeping it real – the caller may not have been her and Levi might not be Sadie’s little boy (I’m sure we can predict how that turns out).
Levi was adorable and knowing the type of book it was, I wasn’t too upset of his lack of “screen-time”. I dearly adored Rhett’s realism. He was real, honest, yet wanted to help Brandi – only because he cared so much for her. This is despite her ending their engagement two (2) years earlier when her sister disappeared.
This came on the heels of a theft that implicated their family and an argument Sadie and Brandi had (not related). The incident shattered Brandi’s trust in those around her. Yet, that was easy when some viewed her with suspicion.
It doesn’t help that one of those people is Rhett’s uncle – the county sheriff among a few of his deputies.
For that reason, I understood Brandi’s attitude. But, honestly, Rhett was the hero.
The other characters? Queen made NO secret of who was “bad” and who was “good” for the most part. I did doubt one character, but was surprised by the fact they remained the same from beginning to end. There were a few characters that surprised me. She definitely kept me guessing on certain aspects.
While I have another book by the author, Justice Undercover, this is the first book I’ve read. As a result, I am not familiar with her style – but it could be!
There are mentions and references to suicide, drug addiction/use, as well as underage drinking.
As stated, this starts off with quite the incident.
Someone obviously wants Brandi killed. Thankfully, Rhett won’t late that happen. But, Brandi, given what she has been through – won’t ask for help. That doesn’t stop him from giving it. Despite his father leaving him and Sadie compounding that sense of abandonment, Rhett won’t leave her side.
Brandi obviously feels betrayed by Rhett who dropped the ball on her missing sister which is why she broke things off.
There is little doubt that the sheriff’s department is involved, though the why is definitely a huge question. Even Rhett is a bit suspicious of his uncle (the sheriff). Rhett also doesn’t know who else is involved though, or why.
There are little clues and evidence that Sadie was the caller, and Levi is her son. Still, Brandi has her “feelings”; Rhett deals in facts. It won’t be easy for either one of them to “work together” to find out what is going on.
While the two try to figure out where Sadie is, there are numerous attempts on Brandi’s life.
In addition, she’s very distrustful of her mother’s new husband. Even more so because he bought her mother a new vehicle and changed several things about her and her home. Brandi has her suspicions about him.
It isn’t just Brandi that the “killer” is after, but Sadie as well.
Queen definitely kept the suspicions and tension high. Along with the investigation solely being focused on Brandi’s family.
Just as Brandi and Rhett find a viable clue (one after the other), they’re being chased after and shot at. One of the clues stunned me, but it wasn’t too surprising. Eventually, a lead pans out, and Rhett soon comes around to believing what Brandi has “known”.
And, apparently, so does(do) the “killer/s”.
The story journey towards the end and conclusion was exciting. By the last 25 pages, I didn’t stop reading it. I was turning page after page. I was surprised by the “main” bad guy along with his motives though.
By the end, Queen wraps up the story and tells the reader what has happened to everyone involved. The ending was quite predictable, but happy as the genre goes. It appears to be a standalone read which is fine with me.
It was, for the most part, a satisfying read with few disappointments.
I love how the author explained each side of law enforcement, especially Rhett “dropping” Sadie’s case. Though, I would’ve hoped that Brandi understood why he HAD to. But, the author also shared the other side – the person or family who doesn’t care and just wants answers or results. Sadly, it doesn’t work that way.
As a Love Inspired Suspense book, there will be Christian and faith themed references such as mentions of God, prayer, and characters practicing their faith in different ways. It is not in a preachy manner and is a part of the character backgrounds.
Fans of the author, genre, and Love Inspired Suspense line are sure to enjoy this read. I’m definitely interested in future books by the author.
Emergency dispatch workers often get strange calls, but how many times do they get a call from someone who's been missing for two years, and presumed dead? Brandi Callahan believes that she's just answered a frantic call from her sister, and her life is about to change forever. What follows is an action-packed story involving a disillusioned young woman and the Texas Ranger she once loved. Brandi and Rhett Kinkaid experience extreme danger, painful memories, and a surge of emotions, as they begin their perilous search for the truth.
This is Connie Queen's second book and her writing just keeps getting better. Texas Christmas Revenge is a compelling story that kept me turning the pages, and I recommend it to all who enjoy inspirational romantic suspense.
I received a copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review, and I am voluntarily sharing my thoughts.
This was a new-to-me author, and I am so glad I had the chance to read it. It was well written, had likable characters, and the pacing was perfect. I loved the storyline and how the author slowly revealed the details of the past. The book started off with a lot of action and it kept on going until the end. Dispatcher Brandi Callahan’s life took a dramatic turn the funds her father managed for the town went missing, her father was found dead, and Sadie, her sister, disappears. The people of Mulberry Gap were quick to blame her father and shun their family. Brandi knew her father was innocent, and her sister was still alive but no one else believed her. Even Rhett, the man she was engaged to, did not believe it. A mysterious call sends her to her deserted family’s farm where she discovers a terrified toddler and almost is killed. Texas Ranger Rhett Kincaid knew Brandi was in real trouble when she appears on his doorstep. She had broken their engagement and managed to avoid him for two years. He never stopped caring for her and when her life is endangered, he will do all he can to protect her. The closer they get to the truth, the closer they realize that someone is also setting up Brandi. Can they find her sister in time? This was an intense book with lots of intrigues, action, and an unexpected ending. I loved how the main characters were able to work together even though there was tension from their past. I was cheering them on the entire book and was so glad to see them succeed. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
After receiving a puzzling 911 call, dispatcher Brandi Callahan is shocked to discover an abandoned toddler. Could he possibly be her nephew? After rescuing the child, she is threatened and reluctantly asks her former fiancé, Texas Ranger Rhett Kincaid, for protection. (And he’s a great hero!) I enjoyed the fast-paced action as danger followed every step with many unforeseen twists along the way. The characters were believable in their struggle for safety and for reconciliation of past hurts. If you like romance stories filled with suspense and inspired with faith, author Connie Queen’s Texas Christmas Revenge is a highly recommended book.
Inspiring story full of surprises and actions! Connie Queen keeps you on your toes throughout the whole story and you won't see the end coming.
Wonderful characters that will leave you wanting to bop them upside the head for being blind to the people around them but will also leave you wanting to clap and cheer when they learn to forgive and move on. Levi is probably the best character though. Who doesn't love an adorable little boy left alone with his teddy bear?
Highly recommend if you want a good suspenseful but feel good love story!
Texas Christmas Revenge by Connie Queen is a Love Inspired Suspense. The story starts off with a bang and careens through car chases, freezing weather, and the characters struggling to discern just who they can trust.
Brandi goes to the one person she hopes will help her, her ex-fiance, and though she hurt him terribly, Rhett won’t let Brandi face the danger alone. I really liked how Rhett handled things. He recognized his personal struggles, but didn’t allow them to interfere with what needed to be done. Brandi is a hot mess, but understandably so, especially as the story unfolds and we see all that she is facing. Wow! But, what I love most about an LI story is the Happily Ever After ending and this has a sweet one.
If you love an LIS story, then definitely give this one a read!
