This was a great 5 star read that pulled me in right from the beginning. You could say that Dereck was relentless in his pursuit of Layla.
Dereck and his team are working on keeping a woman safe. When he has to talk to Layla to try and get more information from her, things take a dangerous unexpected twist. There is something about her that pulls him right in and calls to his dominant side.
Will Layla submit to Dereck? What will happen when her secret comes out?
Layla has a plan and Dereck wasn’t part of it, but he is determined to keep her in his sights. As we move forward in the story, things get even more interesting. Overall this was a great read. I really liked both characters; they both had strength and challenged each other. And their chemistry was off the charts. The author does a great job with her writing and I look forward to reading more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

Oh my goodness, she's done it again with this great story. I love Derek and Layla so much and was a little sad when I finished the book.
So much happens starting at the very beginning and it never let's up. Between the sparks flying between Derek and Layla to the revelations close to the end of the story which I totally didn't see I couldn't stop reading.
I loved this book which can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the book before this in the series at least. There is a bit of crossover and reading both will make everything make more sense.
I have no patience waiting for books and thankfully I don't have to wait for the next in the series. It's already in my kindle waiting for me.

Relentless is the fourth book in the Billionaire Bodyguard series. You can read it as a standalone, but it’s a good idea to read the previous ones as there are some tie ins.
I’m going to start off by saying that the repeated use of the endearment ‘Princess’ grated on me. Pretty sure that’s a personal preference thing, though. Outside of that, the story is pretty good. Definitely full of the drama, danger, intrigue, and steamy scenes you would expect to find in a mafia romance series.

Dereck and Layla's story is intense and suspenseful. I never saw the twist coming near the end. It really made sense, once revealed. I enjoyed this book thoroughly.

Secrets, Lies & a sub that keeps running away. What is Dereck supposed to do? Chase after her to keep her safe of course. Layla is trying to find her sister who has been abducted by a sex trafficking ring and uses her training to find her. Lots of hot sex and sass to keep you riveted and turning pages to see what happens. I couldn't put it down!

In the fourth book of the Bodyguards by Via Mari, it is Dereck’s and Layla’s story now. Dereck is one of the securities put on Bryanna’s case. He manages to see and her friend Layla and wants to keep her safe and for himself. As with Bryanna, everything is not as it seems~ Only Layla has even bigger secrets than Bryanna. She, too, is out to find and protect a family member taken for trafficking~ Another family member was killed in the process as well. Layla has had to do things she normally would never do and will continue to do so until her sister is back with her and safe. Only, Dereck refuses to let this occur! When they finally do come together, Layla’s resistance weakens and she will finally receive the help she has needed all along whether she agrees or not. What will happen? Who dies and stays alive? This time, Via has given us a shock factor toward the end~ Well played Via~ This is Via’s steamiest story to date! I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

Dereck and Layla’s story was so good. I was quickly engrossed and flipping the pages to see what would happen next. The unpredictability, sizzling chemistry, well developed characters, and overall plot made this a page turning read.

Dereck and Layla’s story is all-consuming. The suspense, the surprising twists, that abound within the pages is amazing. I loved their chemistry together, so sinfully hot! I've enjoyed reading the Billionaire Bodyguards Series by Via Mari.

Wow....derek is amazing in this book...and Layla....i never expected that turn. This was incredible. 5 stars. So well written. The twists in this book were so well done. Via Mari is an incredible author. I'm so in love with these bodyguards she is writing about.

Relentless by Via Mari a four-star read that won’t allow you to give up. This is number four in the Billionaire Bodyguard series and its best to read them in order to get the most out of the series, as they do build and develop the characters and the overall stories, they could be read as stand-alone as they do focus on a main couple, but I have loved them as a series. This author brings something fresh to each story they write, there is some amazing banter in this one, and Layla kept me on my toes, it was so nice to finally get under Dereks skin, get his story and the sizzling chemistry he creates.

What a delightful story of mystery and suspense with a mix of dominance and submission. Dereck is a man who takes charge and when he meets Layla, he just knows she is the one for him. She just doesn’t know it yet. Layla is a strong, young woman who is on a mission and no one, not even Dereck is going to stop her. Or will he?
Quite a bit goes on in this story that will make your head spin! I loved the interactions between them, so much sizzling chemistry that my fingers burned as I turned the pages! Dereck wants to show Layla that he can help her in her mission and to show her that she is the perfect submissive for him. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more by this author.

Relentless is the fourth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. It is another engrossing romantic suspense from Via Mari. The story is full of danger, drama, action, mystery, suspense, a sex trafficking ring, secrets, intrigue, chemistry, and a whole lot of sizzle.
As with the rest of the series, this book could be read as a standalone, as each book in the series focuses on a different couple. But, having said that, I really recommend reading the previous three books before starting on this one, because not only are they great stories in their own right/s- but there are also recurring characters who you will want to know more about and a bridging storyline with interconnected details, and crossovers of timelines, settings, and events- so knowing what happens in each book will definitely enhance your appreciation of this story, and the series as a whole.
I have followed Via Mari from her first book in the Prestian series all the way through all her book, so I know I can always count on her to deliver a superb romantic suspense with palpable tension, sizzling chemistry, dramatic developments, and surprising twists. This is the fourth book in this tantalizing series. A series filled with action, intrigue and hot male bodyguards. Each book focuses on a separate couple but the story continues through each book. It can be read as a stand-alone but the books are good so it’s worth reading them all. This book centres around Dereck and Layla. Layla is strong and full of attitude but has a heart of gold. She tries her best to help Brianna but has goals and secrets that she must keep hidden. Dereck is assigned to watch Layla and can’t help but be attracted to the fiery beauty. She calls to his dominant side and he has decided that she’ll be his regardless of what she thinks. He knows the attraction is mutual and realizes that she is keeping secrets. Trust must be earned and he plans on earning her trust. He needs to protect her, even from herself.
This book will catch your attention from the get go and keep you interested until the end. Layla was a secondary character in the last book and I really enjoyed getting to know her story in this one. The chemistry was on fire between the two main characters and I was rooting for them from the start. This was a great addition to the series and I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

Relentless brings the Dom/sub relationship of the MCs to the forefront. Layla is the closeted submissive, trying to suppress that side of herself. Dereck is attracted to Layla from the beginning and recognizes her desire to submit to him. He’s not the overpowering and domineering Dom type though, wanting her to discover her own wants and desires within their relationship.
Problems arise when Layla’s desire to find and help her sister, who she believes has been trafficked, interferes with her ability to embrace her submissive role in the relationship. Will family hinder the budding relationship from succeeding?
I am not a participant in the Dom/sub culture, so I do not know if the character development in relation to it is accurate or not, but as a reader I enjoyed seeing Layla fighting her inner demons, both “professionally” and relating to the relationship. I enjoyed reading the narrator POV switching from Layla to Dereck, getting insight into what they were thinking and feeling. It allowed us to feel the relationship building from both sides and see how each was rationalizing their actions.
I really enjoyed reading this book after Auctioned, which basically occurs at the same time with a few cross references. Relentless continues to build upon the mafia connections and fighting trafficking that have been prevalent throughout the series.

Dereck is helping a buddy out. When he finds himself falling for a friend of his buddy's girl. He wants to help out and he wants to keep her safe. The quote I chose for Dereck is: “I’ll get you to a safe place, but close enough to see what’s going on. We’re short men, so I need to focus on the task at hand, and if you’re in danger, my focus will be on you. Put this in, Layla. You’ll be plugged into the team chat. Stay off the line unless you need something. I know how much this means to you, and for the record, I wouldn’t have really left you home if you hadn’t been listening, but you would be watching from a safe place and not in the middle of a fucking mafia war zone if it were up to me.”

I love every book I've read of hers and I can't wait to read the next! This book is amazing. It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order to get the best experience. Its the story of Layla Contreras who is on a mission and that mission involves finding and rescuing her sister who has been taken to be sold to the highest bidder. Layla not only wants to rescue her sister but all the women that have been taken. Dereck is a member of an elite security team who works for 2 different men. When one of the men send him on an assignment he doesn't expect to be smack dab in the middle of a trafficking ring. He also doesn't expect to meet the most beautiful and fascinating women he's ever met. Layla and Derek have immediate chemistry but Layla is focused on finding her sister. When Derek finds out who Layla really is he realizes he may be in over his head. Will they find her sister in time and will they survive if they do. Will Derek and Layla make that chemistry work??? Read Relentless to find out!

WOW WOW WOW!!! I am so hooked on this series!!
Relentless by the wonderful Via Mari had me hooked from the very start and kept me captivated until the very last word. I was literally on the edge of my seat towards the conclusion of the book. Part of the story does run along side the previous book in the series so I found it very beneficial that I had read the previous book. My recommendation would be to start this series from the very beginning not just because the characters story lines will flow better for you but because its so AWESOME and you don't want to miss anything!!
Relentless Brings us the story of Layla, a very strong willed determined woman, hiding a genuine soft tender side, who is looking for her sister and the man who killed her cousin. Along comes the Super hot, determined and VERY dominant Dereck. He wants to protect her and be with her but knows she is hiding things from him. Lies is one thing he does not tolerate but at the same time he knows trust must be earnt, he just hopes he can earn her trust before its too late.

I loved this book. This is an author that I have loved and read every book by her and they just keep getting better and better. This one is no different. It is the fourth book in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous books before this one to help your enjoyment of this series. This is a well written story that pulled me in right from the beginning. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and kept me turning pages to the end. In this book we get to see Dereck’s story. He is assigned a task of one of the men he is bodyguard for. What he gets himself into is trafficking which is where he meets Layla. Now he is faced with losing his heart to her and they both find themselves in a situation that could be deadly. I loved these characters and what they bring to the story. Their growth in the story makes it feel realistic. They made the story entertaining to read and I highly recommend it.

Just not sure what more I can write in a review that explains how much I love reading this author's books. I feel like a broken record because I've said it all before in reviews for her other books.
I loved loved loved this one. Dereck had his hands full with Layla who was determined to save her sister, and let nobody stand in her way. I love a dominant leading man and a sassy hard to handle tough as nails leading lady. This makes for some of my favorite reading. This addition sits up in my favorites of all these series. Although I've loved them all, I have some favorites. I can't imagine going into any of these books without having read all of the series leading up to this one. The suspense, heat, mystery, danger, and edge of your seat reading is what makes this author a forever one click for me.

Although I've loved them all, I have some favorites. I can't imagine going into any of these books without having read all of the series leading up to this one. The suspense, heat, mystery, danger, and edge of your seat reading is what makes this author a forever one click for me.

Relentless is the 4th book in the amazing Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. I have become a huge fan of Via Mari over the last couple of years and I absolutely love the Billionaire Bodyguards series.
Relentless takes place at the same time as the previous book Auctioned and there is a bit of overlap with the events that take place. It is as fact paced and gripping as Auctioned was. I think this is my favourite series of Via Mari that I have read so far and the only series I haven’t read yet is the Prestian series.
We met Layla in Auctioned as she tried to help Bryanna. This time it’s Layla’s turned to be ‘rescued’ by Dereck. I really loved Layla and Dereck’s story. It is most certainly not a love at first sight story as Layla pretty much hated Dereck and did everything possible to get him out of her life. Many of their earlier exchanges are extremely funny as she continually puts him down. He just doesn’t know how to deal with a female that doesn’t fall at his feet.
This book is filled with drama, intrigue, suspense and, as expected with Via Mari, some pretty hot sexy times that you may need a fan to cool off.
I really can’t wait to read more of this series and I’m so glad that I already have the next book Elusive waiting on my kindle for me to dive into.

This is the fourth book - Relentless: Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by one of my fav authors Via Mari. This is a contemporary romance with an edge that is intense and full of suspense and mystery. Via’s stories are always unpredictable and very well written with fantastic characters. She always keeps you on the edge and reveals things that you never see coming. There is sizzling chemistry that is hot sexy with a touch of dominance and submission from these elite security team of alpha men. Add in lots of danger, attitude and sass, a sex trafficking ring and you will be riveted, and engrossed and will keep the pages turning to see what happens.
Layla will do whatever it takes to get her sister back with her and make sure she is safe. Dereck tries to keep the spitfire out of trouble but even this could be too much for him.

This is the second book by this author I have read in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. I think I enjoyed this one as much as the previous book honestly. I am quite glad that I had read book three otherwise I would have been a little out of the loop, but I don’t think it is necessary as a reader to have to read it. You could pick it up without it, but it may take a few more chapters to really get into the nitty gritty and understanding of it. As with the previous book this one is also full of action and adventure, drama and danger, and sex, secrets, and suspense. In other words, everything that a keeps me interested and gripping the edge of my seat reading. Just as with the previous book, the author does a tremendous job of keeping the characters interesting and their connection instantaneous. A recommended book from me.

This is the fourth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series and these stories keep getting better and better. It is full of romance and suspense, as well as danger.
Dereck is a member of the elite security team. When he is sent to question a women with regards to the person they are looking to rescue, he didn't expect the sparks to fly.
Layla works as an exotic dancer and also has the inside knowledge of the trafficking ring Dereck and his team are trying to stop. Layla is fiesty and needs no man in shining armour to rescue her until she meets Dereck.
The connection is instant and Dereck awakens something inside of her that she forgot existed. But with her own past and secrets can they work through them and be together? With vengence in Layla's mind will she be able to trust Dereck enough to help or is this relationship doomed from the start?

I really enjoy just about everything I pick up that is penned by Via Mari, and this, Relentless, is no exception to the rule. It is the fourth in her Billionaire Bodyguards series, and I personally recommend reading the others before diving into this one for the maximum enjoyment, but it ultimately isn't necessary to the story really. I love how these books bring the romance and the intrigue all in one well developed and quickly read package. I can always expect some high suspense and twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Relentless gives us the story of Dereck and Layla (I love that her name!) and it is one that will keep you fanning yourself as you turn the pages following the adventurous story they have to share. I cannot wait to see what we will get in the next book.
