It’s probably a bad idea to get involved with a much younger guy, but there’s no way around this crazy connection.

Cruz Adams has finally found a soft place to land. He’s content with life and not looking for anything more. So, of course, he finds himself falling down the “more” rabbit hole with a guy fifteen-years his junior.

Logan Miles escaped a horrific past, but he’s yet to find his safe place. When he ends up in a dangerous situation, he can’t help but see Cruz as his knight in shining armor. But is Logan ready for what Cruz has to offer?

Will Cruz be able to give Logan what he needs while they navigate their new relationship? Or will they lose the chance at happiness before it even begins?

**Desire is a steamy, age-gap, hurt/comfort M/M romance featuring a heart-of-gold mechanic and a twink who’s a lot stronger than he realizes. It’s the third book in the Remington Place series and can be read as a stand-alone, but is likely best enjoyed when read in order. Please note: This story has mention of sex trafficking and sexual abuse.**

It is estimated that 2300 children go missing EVERY day in America...
Gang youth commit over 11% of all crimes in America...

How are these issues even a thing? All of the political battles going on about parent's right to choose what is best for their kids and they aren't even considering that if their child dies or disappears it is all for nothing! America needs to wake up and realize that our children are our future...

We need better funding for social services. We need better funding for after-school programs... the government needs to step in and make these things happen. Local communities work hard to raise funds for many after-school programs, but they can't do it alone... we need HELP!

Yes, Logan and Cruz are fictional characters, but they exist in real life... maybe with a different name or maybe from a different ethnic background, but they are out there and they need to be found and saved! OK, rant over... *headdesk*

As for the story, Logan and Cruz are the definition of "soul mates"! Love, at first sight, is a real thing, and our hearts don't care about age, skin color, or gender... all that matters is that the person is right for us!

I am looking forward to seeing how Dre and Khi figure out how not to sabotage their own relationship in Yearn...

Wow! Loving this series. Third book in and it was so sweet. Fate/Luck led Cruz to that back alley that night that Logan was getting assaulted and he became his savior and friend. Their connection was instant. This was oh so different kind of romance that I'm use to and I love it. These two start off as friends that led to love quickly. Really no angst...just Logan dealing with his past and Cruz being his number one supporter. While dealing with his past, Logan and Cruz develop a very strong connection/relationship. Everything is done right in this story. Constant support of friends (Remington place is soooo cool...love Bev)...always open communication between the guys...so when Logan wants to find himself(be a grownup) without relying on Cruz for help, that was even easy. Everything was nice and easy... I wouldn't call this a sticky sweet romance because we get our steamy sexy times and those were HOT...but a very lovely romance. Nice ending and a very satisfying HEA for the guys...now I'm so ready for the next story in the series...looks to be good.

Powerful Love . . .

Cruz Adams heard shattering glass and immediately left his doorman job at the bar and ran to the alley. He knew the sound of gangs beating up on someone, and he found two men really hurting what looked like a kid. He grabbed a sharp board from a wooden pallet and demanded they get off the kid. When the cops arrived, the attackers ran and the cops went after them, leaving Cruz to call an ambulance, but the kid asked him not to. Jesse stepped outside and suggested Cruz take him to Bev at Remington Place and Jessie would tell the cops what he knew if they came back. Logan Miles was not very trusting and was afraid to accept the kind offer, especially since he wasn’t physically able to “pay” with his current injuries. Cruz assured him he was not asking for that, but an EMT who lived there could at least check him out and they could feed him. Logan still looked like he wanted to argue, but he needed help right now.

Bev King gently hugged Logan and would be offering a place to stay. He would room with Cruz, who took him upstairs for a shower before his injuries were checked. Bev was cooking something for him while he showered. Logan didn’t know it yet, but his life was going to change with the love and help of these good people who would be his family. And if he could convince Cruz that age didn’t matter, would the two of them get to the point where they could declare their love for each other?

This book has such powerful messages. Those of us who have never gone through such abusive horrors can still feel the pain and amazement that people can be so cruel. What Bev offers each of her tenants is a dream, bringing them in to a loving family and allowing them to help each other in addition to the resources she can find for them if they need more. This book is so cathartic and highly recommended. It will show you there is hope and all it takes is a bit of love to start it working. Don’t miss this one. It really will touch your heart in unexpected ways and give you hope that we can all care about others and make a difference.

When Cruz rescues Logan from being beaten up in an alley and brings him back to the boarding house, he’s providing Logan with a lifeline and setting the two of them up for the kind of romance that neither expected and both want very much. I like the patience and care both men show each other, and I appreciate the emphasis they place on communication and understanding. I did, however, have trouble connecting with the characters as characters, rather than a collection of experiences and helpful insights into healthy coping mechanisms for those experiences.

All of the characters in this book are very, very well adjusted— which is a good thing. The fact, however, that dialog can often sound like it came straight out a therapist’s handbook is somewhat jarring. Do I think it’s true that “people who feel different, experience exclusion in one for or another, or have to focus on surviving are understandably going to arrive at certain milestones later than others?” Absolutely. Do I think it’s super plausible that this is, verbatim, how two casual acquaintances in their twenties would discuss this? Not so much. And this is fairly typical for the exchanges in the book. Though the message is on point, the way it’s delivered can be a bit clumsy, and makes this feel at times like a didactic text rather than a romance novel.

That said, I really like this series, and overall, I’m happy that Logan and Cruz got their HEA.

This is the third book in the Remington Place series. It can be read as a standalone but you will enjoy it much more if you have read the earlier books. This is the story of Cruz Adams and Logan Miles. Cruz is already living at Remington Place and grateful for the change that brought into his life. He is working his second job as a bouncer when he interrupts an assault in the back alley. This is how we meet Logan Miles. He is the victim of the assault who obviously is down on his luck and needs help. Cruz talks to him for a few minutes and then decides to bring Logan home to Remington Place. Logan who has not met many genuinely nice people in his life, is trying to decide what Cruz will want or accept for helping him out. Even though Cruz is instantly attracted to Logan, he decides that Logan needs a friend and that is what he will be. It is heartbreaking when you read Logan's life story. With his new friends and the love freely given at Remington Place, Logan begins to flourish. He can't believe his good fortune to be there. Slowly Logan and Cruz's relationship grows into more. This is a story that you will not want to miss. The book is well written and easy to read.

Logan's story broke my heart from the get go. It is unfortunately a story that is not as far fetch as we would like to believe. Cruz's story is also one that is unfortunately one that is very well known to people also. Together both of these gentleman have had their fair share of different tortures' and let downs. It always amazes me the reactions everyone has to Mrs. Beverly. She is a force to be reckoned with. I truly believe she knows everyone and can get anything done that she puts her mind to. Logan and Cruz are great from the beginning and it is great to watch them each over come their demons. Throughout the story it is fantastic to watch Logan come into his own as a independent person and learn that he can do things on his own but still have support and love. While it great to watch Cruz realize that sometime you just have to allow things to play out and it does not always make a turn for the worse. Both of them learn that sometimes you have to let something go to see if it will come back. It always so great to read about these couples because they are always realistic and not made to make the reader have to question everything.

Ex-con and mechanic Cruz Adams is in a place where he is content with his life, and has a safe place to live and a good job. Then he finds himself falling for a guy fifteen years his junior. Logan Miles has escaped abuse and trafficking in a horrific past and ends up in a dangerous situation when Cruz arrives as a knight in shining armour to save him and offer him a safe place. Will Cruz be able to give Logan what he needs while they navigate their new relationship? Or will they lose the chance at happiness before it even begins?

I enjoyed this story although there are some heartbreaking moments when I know I had tears streaming down my face as I read. I loved the way that Cruz had such a big heart and that Logan was so much stronger than he ever realised. This was read to read, feel and understand as we followed their relationship from the inception to the establishment of something solid between them. This is a steamy MM romance containing mature content and an age gap. There is a mention of abuse and tracking.

Desire is Book 3 in the Remington Place series. This is a beautifully written hurt/comfort, age gap story about Logan and Cruz. This story really tugged on my heart and may be a trigger for some readers. Logan grew up in a way no child should. Thankfully Cruz found him one night while he was getting beat up and took him home to Bev and Remington Place. The entire house took Logan under their wing to help him feel worthy and loved. I love how Cruz would do anything if it helped Logan get better, even stay next door with Jesse and Cooper. Cruz is a perfect match for Logan and I loved watching them fall in love. I loved seeing characters from other series make their way into this one. I love this series and definitely recommend it. I can't wait for the next book.

This is steamy, interesting and sweet. After escaping a horrific life, Logan is living on the street when he finds himself in trouble, and is rescued by Cruz. Cruz hasn't had his own life together for too long, but he now has a home, friends and a family of the heart. He brings Logan home and takes care of making sure that he's not injured. The landlady, who has helped a few people, invites him to move in. He and Cruz become close, because there's something pulling them together. Logan has issues, but he's got a mouth on him, he's strong and he's caring. Cruz is kind, considerate and sweet. It's a very good story, the trauma Logan endured is not explicit, he hints at things, which makes it interesting without being triggering. The men in the series overcoming their pasts, and becoming strong, amusing men is wonderful to read.

An emotional and touching age gap, hurt/comfort romance. Desire is a great addition to this sweet and steamy series. I actually think it might just be my favourite because of the MCs. Cruz is the most gorgeously kind marshmallow of a man, and Logan is so heartbreakingly courageous. They have both been through pain - Logan especially with what he had to face as a kid. But together they find the kind of support and love they’ve always needed. Not only that, but the Remington Place gang also adopts Logan and make him one of their own which is heartwarming to see. Theirs is a beautiful journey in which both Logan and Cruz get to grow and mature individually and as a couple. I loved this sweet story!

Hurt/Comfort romance.

A story about two people who have suffered from different traumatic experiences. I liked the two main characters Logan and Cruz. Cruz is especially likeable, he comes across as being humble and caring, realising immediately that Logan needs both kindness and space.

Logan really broke my heart, he's truly broken and struggling with private issues hoping no one will found out about. Both his and Logan's experiences were, unfortunately, believable.

It's a very slow burn romance, for reasons which are obvious, if you read the book. Watching them fall in love, in spite of their issues, was lovely.

A. D. Ellis has tackled some difficult and sensitive issues in this story. The characters fully deserved their reward of love, trust and healing.

aww i want one

I want my very own Cruz... and I want him to look just like the cover model who is sexy af! Logan is a sweetheart breaking free from an effed up adolescence. Cruz is so protective but sweet and understanding and sexy af. I also want my very own Alicia... if only she were available IRL for counseling! I've loved every moment @ 69069 at the corner of Remington Place and Pleasure Blvd. so far and can hardly wait for Dre and Khi's story. **there is a trigger warning which for me was balanced and low angst within the story - but please check it before jumping in just in case.

Oh my! So good! I loved how genuine Logan's and Cruz's backstories were and how true the emotions rang in them! The author definitely didn't spare them hardships and their personalities were really well developed around that! Nothing better than a believable character creation and A.D. Ellis sure knows how it's done!
Then there is the story itself and character development that makes them see past the hurt into a hopeful future together! I really liked the plot and progression here!
The story is great and fits the series to a t!

Gonna keep saying it but I looooove Remington Place. I want to live there. This book is about Cruz and Logan. They met when Cruz came to rescue Logan from getting beat up more than he was. This is a great love story with a bit of age gap and learning to love oneself. I highly recommend but suggest they be read in order. Looking forward to Dre and Khi’s book.

Logan and Cruz's book is very moving and emotional and it's a great addition to the new Remington Place series. The moment Cruz sees Logan he's just want to help and protect him. Logan has had a rough life and he's not very trusting until he meets the men of Remington Place. Their book is romantic, sweet, very emotional, well-written, and will have your attention from start to finish. The two balance each other out.

A great dramatic start as Cruz stops an assault on a young person being attacked. The book begins much like the books before hand in this series with Bev and her army of boarders.
Baggage and past hurts for both Cruz 35 yrs and Logan 20 years.

Includes age gap, V card holder, traumas, fast love, friends to lovers and more. Lots of firsts to happen but I loved it with Logan's cheekiness included to bring some humour to a heavy themed book.
Logan, 20 yrs and nowhere to go but he needed money enough to solicit men in an alley.

I loved Cruz and Logan. I also loved Remington Place and all of the people who live there and support each other. I cried when Logan stepped back from his relationship with Cruz, but I agree with his reasons for doing it and was so excited when the break was over. I can't wait to read the next book in the series when it comes out.

I love age-gap and Desire, a love story of Cruz and Logan, definitely has that with their 15 year age gap. I also love the hurt/comfort trope with both Cruz and Logan having to deal with terrible situations.

However with Logan's backstory, I thought this story would be darker with more grit. I guess I'm just biased towards darker stories. Besides this, it's well-written with wonderful characters.

A sweet love story with dark pasts

This book has a lot of deep emotions running throughout but the love between the two MC's and the support from the whole Crew help to keep it light. I loved how hard they fell for each other and I don't often enjoy insta-love stories. This worked for me. There is a constant rumble of sexual tension between Dre and Kai so I am really looking forward to an explosive story next in the series.

I am completely obsessed with this series and Cruz & Logan’s story was a perfect addition. The way the author approaches the healing Logan needs to do is so wonderfully real and Remington Place is such an amazing, unique place. The characters are bruised and battered by life but never broken. An excellent addition to the series and I can’t wait to read the next!

This was a great read. I absolutely love this series as a whole.
I loved the story line and the characters in this one. It was so well written. It is an easy book to fall in love with and not want to put it down.

Cruz and Logan both have some darkness in their past. They both have to overcome that on their own, which only makes them stronger together in the end.

This was a beautiful hurt/comfort, age gap romance. Both Cruz and Logan have suffered from different traumatic experiences. Logan I felt was truly broken but actually stronger than he thought. Both of the men's experiences unfortunately are believable. This was a fantastic story!

A great addition to the Remington Place series. Cruz and Logan had an immediate connection, but Logan's journey to happy was a bit complicated. Loved how it all worked out, with very mature decisions being made and supportive friends. Very enjoyable to read.

Cruz stopped two guys beating a young guy in an alley behind the bar he worked at. He helps the young guy out taking him to the boarding house where he lived. Logan doesn't trust anyone but maybe he can trust Cruz. I enjoyed this book.

Great!

Logan and Cruz are such an amazing couple, both scarred from their pasts and hopeful for their future. One thing they never doubt is the steamy attraction they feel for each other. Great story.

Easy fast read

The book was sweet and not so steamy. I mean it had steamy scenes but only a couple. I think it delt with trauma pretty nicely and the love between them was so cute.

Bad luck or good?

Yay for Logan. He's had the roughest time and lucked into the perfect place. Cruz who was still trying to get himself together was perfect.

I have to say that i found this book to have much more of a hurt/comfort theme than the others in this series. My heart broke for Logan and the heartbreakingly tough time he had as a kid. It was so sweet to see the Remington Place gang adopt him as one of their own. Cruz is so protective and loving towards him from the very start but is bruised and cautious in his own way. I loved watching Logan blossom and watching both men grow both inside and outside of their relationship.
