Nope.

Since these books are so short - 200 pages - and free on Kindle Unlimited, I gave it two books to see if it got its shit together. But no. The heroine is a grade-A dumbass, a snarky moron who leaps into every situation without thinking, and has to get her dumb ass bailed out. If she's got the fate of the world in her hands, then the world needs to end. Now.

The pacing of this book is ludicrous. I like a fast-paced book, but that's not what this is. A problem is introduced, and dealt with, in about 2 hours, and there are 6 major problems that come up and are ended on every given day. Nothing has buildup or weight to it, and I care about all of it as little as the heroine does.

It became unintentionally hilarious by the end, watching her epic stupidity, the repetitive (really, really repetitive) empty alpha snarling of Brock (if he snarled "You're pregnant!" less than 10 times in the 200 pages of this book, I'd be stunned), and the bumble-fuck way they staggered through every meaningless encounter. And then the heroine worrying about moving too fast in her relationship with Brock ... looooooooooooool. Everything about their behavior was "fated mates" even if the book didn't call it that. They met and were essentially mated within moments, and she was insta-pregnant. She was under his care within what, 2 days of meeting him? They professed their love within, what, a week? And when he wants her to move in, THEN she worries they are moving too fast? I laughed so hard I spit my coffee out.

This shit is terrible. I hope it isn't a sign of the quality I'll find in my brand-new Kindle Unlimited subscription, but I'm definitely concerned.

Co-writers Leia Stone and Lucía Ashta, have created a wonderful second book in the Supernatural Bounty Hunters series. There’s a lot more sexy times, emotion, battles and kitsune tails in this book. Overall it’s action packed from start to finish, with Evie never stopping for a moment.

I highly recommend Magic Sight, and I’m looking forward to the third book - Magic Touch.

Awesome, full of action and ass-kicking. I love how the relationships are developing and evolving.
And a series about a kitsune is just wonderful.

Good but dragged a bit

I feel like we are going going and Evie doesn’t have a chance to learn anything about herself. Seriously we learn more, and then barely get a chance to act on knowing more about herself before she has to go save someone or something. We don’t know much about what being a Kitsune means. I’m slightly annoyed by the action, it’s like they can’t even do something simple before a big bad is after them. Two steps forward and a battle, two steps forward and another battle. Like she almost died and barely got some R&R time. I take that back, she didn’t get R&R time.

I like Evies relationships with everyone including Brock. I just wish that the heritage and what she’s supposed to be doing or training to do would have been a bit more involved. I think I’d understand this rushing stuff if we had more on how a kitsune is supposed to do what they are supposed to do.

Also back to the big bads popping up at times when it should be down time how did they find her? How did they know she was with the Selkies when the one attacked? That wasn’t explained.

It’s just detailed enough to give you an outline but not detailed enough to give you more insight to make predictions.

Although I didn’t love this one quite as much as the first one, I still give a solid four stars because it’s so entertaining. I like the writing style because it isn’t repetitive or cliché. And although the FMC definitely makes some weird and borderline annoying decisions throughout, as does the MMC, I appreciate that their characters are so flawed and at times frustrating. There was also the implied twist from the first book, and the grand reveal about the grandmother, that I knew was coming but wasn’t expecting it to be executed exactly like this.

The side character, Cass, is still by far my favorite and the most entertaining.

Overall, I’m impressed these authors are able to pull off so much craziness with a pregnant MC. I’m excited to read the next book now.

Still really a fun read. Good action. Great side-kicks and love interest. Enjoying the series quite a bit. If you like UF with a snarky H then definitely give it a go. Not as good as Ilona Andrew's, but definitely still a good time.

Did not take a point off for a cliffhanger as I usually do as this is labelled Series in the title. These are pleasant enough, but it is a SERIAL where you’re reading chapters of one story for each book.

There’s a good bit of ‘on page’ sex in this series.

I still like the series, but not as much as I liked the first book.

I will give the third book a try.

It's really more like 3 and a quarter stars?

It was kind of ridiculous how she resisted moving in with Brock. They are having a baby together after all.

And I am SO TIRED of her calling him her "baby daddy." It is just way overused.

This was really tough to rate....

While I liked this book, I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first..

While Evie is a strong and independent character, which I really like; she also has a habit of just running into things head on without actually thinking or planning, and sometimes loses track of what she should be focusing on in dangerous situations - and for me it bordered on the too stupid to live line (which is a pet peeve of mine), especially when she's pregnant.
While there was a lot that happened in this book, and a lot of action; it didn't really seem as if the story progressed much. Where the ended up at the end of the book didn't seem far from where they started...

I do love the friendship between Evie and Cas, and really liking the chemistry and relationship between Evie and Brock. Cas and Tianna were an interesting addition and am curious to see whether things develop with Molly and the two warriors.

This second book was just as fun and an exciting read as the first book was. We got to see Brock & Evie's relationship develop more in this book. We also got to see more of Cass and Evie's close friendship and I love the way they are with each other, in fact I love Cass, he's a great character. Stuff gets a lot more real in this book and things are definitely going down. This book is action packed from the beginning and it's a fun read. I'm really enjoying this series so far from these co-authors and I'm looking forward to the next one. Five stars.

I think this was an excellent follow on to the first one in the series. Evie is a great lead character and the support characters are also very good. Unfortunately, I found the love scenes excessive and skipped through them.

2 Stars/5 Stars

Magic Sight is the second book in this series, which really should've been named something else, since they have literally only been after the same "villain" from book one, and even then there has been relatively little initiative taken on the chasing part until this book. My only reasoning for continuing on is that I already have the third (and final) book. I won't lie, there was definite potential in this series, I just feel it wasn't realized.

I like the characters, I just didn't fall in love with them the way I really wanted to. I don't get that emotional connection to them. I can see some of their bonds between others, but otherwise it's like Meh. I didn't get the chance to really get absorbed into their relationships with all the crap that's being thrown at them. Despite whatever is going on with Molly, Reo and Haru. Cass and Tianna or even Evie and Brock. Every time you blink shit is hitting the fan. They don't have time to process or care, so guess what? Neither do I.

This book had some character development (and then reversal) because Evie is admittedly an idiot who literally jumps into situations without thinking or having a plan. But what it really needed was a proper plot. Not this disorganized, thrown-together mishap. From murders, ex-boyfriends, crazy sirens, family secrets, Akuma's, vampire attacks, oh no somethings coming through the gate!, curses, rogue witches, pack, the baby, breaking swords, mysterious islands with healing water guarded by demonic selkies, Akuma!, Tsunami, Jail Breaks, Sirens, and back to the Gate, it seems the authors couldn't decide what they were writing about! It felt like the plot of several different books just shoved haphazardly together. Which means it was disjointed, at times confusing and nonsensical, with a lot of wtf just happened (why, how)? And a whole lot of no answers because it just moves onto the next disaster.

It only got saved because of the BFF relationship between Cass and Evie. Brock and Evie's kinda sorta improving relationship. So basically, the few moments I got between Evie and her crew, and sometimes just her crew were what made this story readable. We do get to see bonds here growing, I just wished there was more of it.

“Magic Sight” is book two in the Supernatural Bounty Hunter series co-authored by Leia Stone and Lucia Ashta.

I am really loving this series. I thought book one was really good but this book was a lot more exciting. Although this is co-written you are unable to tell the difference between the authors. They have done a fabulous job with executing the book. There is a few little mishaps with the characters doing or being somewhere but it is very minor.

This story continues on where book one “Magic Bite” ends so it is highly recommended that you read that book first.

With Evie’s Kitsune powers unlocking with every shift, she must continue to work with Tatiana to combine her Witch magic with her Kitsune Magic, so she will be able to close the gate to the underworld. But being constantly under attack by the siren or a demon from the underworld, Evie doesn’t have time to rest let alone learn to control her magic. Her new protectors must also train her to stop the underworld from coming through the gate as well. Her baby daddy Brock is always being the watchful, controlling, over protective alpha.

At first I though Evie was going to be this big bada** Bounty Hunter, especially from book 1 where she says that her and Cass are the best. But I felt that in this book she was a big let down. She’s supposed to be this all powerful hybrid Kitsune/witch with the training and abilities that she required from being a Supernatural Hunter. But she is always getting herself injured or nearly killed, but she is just getting ’lucky’.

Having said that I am really looking forward to reading book three “Magic Touch” to see how things are going to pan out for Evie, Cass, Brock and the rest of the group.

“Magic Sight” is a solid follow up to the first book in the Supernatural Bounty series. Evie is a kitsune, the last of her kind and she is also pregnant with Brock, the alpha’s baby. What is a kitsune? Well it comes from the Japanese lore of a fox creature with none tails in existence for the purpose of keeping the gate to the underworld close thus keeping the creatures from escaping and taking over this world.

As Evie comes to grips with the discovery she is not a magical dud, two Japanese warriors show up as her protectors and with the revelation that her father is paralyzed but alive. When they call upon a with/fae halfbreed to help train Evie Cass is more than smitten.

Of course, Brock is ecstatic about the baby and extremely protective. He and Evie are trying to figure out what they mean to each other. To complicate matters, they discover that Evie being on the werewolf territory is draining the strength from the alpha and Evie must do something about it.

Meanwhile, the siren Callista is at large and her powers have been enhanced with the aid of not one but three evil witches. My, my, my what a mess!

This read was chocked full of action, subterfuge, danger and hot monkey love. Yum! I gobbled down this read in no time. So, if I enjoyed it so much why did I only give it 4 out of 5 stars? Well, the vernacular of the characters became overly competitive and started to irritate me at times. I quickly grew weary of hearing ‘baby daddy’ over and over. There were other terms repeated to the point I wanted to scream, “Enough!”
This may seem like a small point but it was enough to affect my rating. Yet, I truly did enjoy this read otherwise.

3.5/5 stars.

This book has an affliction that I noticed in a number of books out there. This is actually one of my major pet peeves in books. It's the cultural generalization.

It keeps referring to some of the characters as 'Asians'. While it's true, it's very non-descript. Why? The main girl clearly half-Japanese. She wields a magic katana, a Japanese sword. The bodyguards sent by her father, Haru and Reo, clearly Japanese. So say it. Japanese. Japan. There are many countries in Asian culture and no, despite some of what ignorant people believe, they all don't live in one continent. If you want to 'elevate' Asian characters and doesn't want to pass as a racist, generalizing them is not the way. It's like referring German people or Scottish as 'white'. So there it is. I really hope future authors really learn their culture and please, please, do a bit of research before writing your books.

Regarding the book itself, it reminded me of Jane Yellowrock books. In the sense that the MC advertise herself as a 'badass' but half of the time she's either: almost die/lost the fight OR main girl always loses her weapons (like Dean Winchester) XD I don't know what kinda training she had (because apparently in this world setting there was a 'bounty hunter academy'), but they didn't teach anything about weapon safety or tactical combat. Get a proper holster for your gun and harness for your sword. Jesus.

Here's a quote from the main character:
"I didn’t have a plan; I wasn’t that type of fighter. I operated on instinct -"

What??? Lolz. How come she's the 'best' bounty hunter in town?

Book two has lots of action, and they also venture into the unknown territory to mend Evie's weapon. In this book, Evie is still being herself, unrestrained even with pregnancy and full of responsibility over her bounty hunter business and the latest one to protect the gate. Yet, she still has much to learn about her magic sides.

Meanwhile, Molly showcases a high level of usefulness in this book. She is brilliant, quick-thinking, and brave, and her willingness to self-sacrifice is admirable. Cass has also proven his fierce loyalty by his readiness to trade his life for Evie. I'm glad both of them play a significant role in the story. It's their unique personalities that bring the story to life.

I hope the last book will see less bedroom activity for Evie and Brock and more focus on sharpening her magic skills. I wonder if her dad will show up as the Akuma has already found out about her, so there's no need for her dad to continue being absent. Maybe if he shows up, the two will behave!

Nevertheless, the question remains. Can Evie seal the gate before the triplets break the gate with the underworld army, and if so, at what cost? I'm eager to find out how the story ends. I'm sure the last book will be even more intense.

Action all the way through this one, making it an easy read.
Following on directly from Magic Bite, Evie is forced to deal with the fact that she is a rare and very important kitsune shifter tasked with protecting the world from demons and monsters. Of course, she is also pregnant with a shifter baby whose father is overly protective and she has to close a magical gate that no one else can see.
Also, her last bounty has escaped and her boss needs to her to go collect this wicked siren again. No stress.
I have enjoyed this world from Stone & Ashta as it is detailed and layered with a hodgepodge of different characters with different personalities that must work together to survive. Sometimes it is difficult to keep track of who the different side characters are, but the main band is relatively static.
I would like Evie to be able to learn more about her powers as she goes but, time is short and the action is non-stop here. She jumps in head first, yes, but that is to ensure her friends aren't harmed and she seems to land on her feet in most cases- where she doesn't, proving her humanity, her friends are there to bail her out most of the time.

Crazy Fun & Lots Love and Magic!!😀💘✨🐾
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)

This series is so much fun!! I love the way all of the characters interact together. Tianna, a new character, is a fantastic addition. She's fierce & another magical hybrid like Evie is. She's there to try & help her tap into her witch & kitsune magic 👍🐶

Evie's Alpha & baby daddy is becoming ever more protective, which drives her nuts but makes her want to jump him constantly 😂🔥😍 Their love is growing 💘🐾🐶🐺 Actually love seems to be in the air in this book 😉😍💕

Calista, the Siren, is out to cause more havoc. Our group/Family/pack need to put it all on the line to try & stop more demons escaping onto Earth before Evie can close the gate to the Underworld!!😱

This was an action packed, fun & steamy read. These authors have really hit on a fabulous storyline with a character driven plot that just ticks all of my boxes!🌟 I'm really looking forward to book #3 🎉🐾

Holy flounder fish Batman! If you want to keep the image of gorgeous long haired singing mermaids who save humans, stick with Disney, bc the sirens in this book are for adults and they pack some crazy power for the heroine to combat. Granted she’s quite the badass herself and Evie proves it on multiple occasions in this action packed book! She’s absolutely up to the challenges thrown at her... Not to mention the steam her werewolf baby daddy throws her way! Hubba hubba! These two aren’t the only ones with a budding romance though! Can’t wait to see where the relationships with her partner Cass and his new love interest go in the next book and I’m dying to see more of Molly and her two warrior hotties! Loved this book and can’t wait to see what happens in the next! Fingers crossed Evie finds a way to save the world!

Boom!

We hit the ground running right where we left off! Immediate shockers follow with the revelation of new characters. Constant motion is the theme of book two. There were a lot of twisted turns that were impossible to foreshadow due to the extreme creativity of the writer. Evie, Cass and Brock all have their same intense and wonderful personalities in tact. Sometimes that can get lost between books but not here. I love love love the fact Evie is identifying who Brock is and treating him better. I don't like the peril Evie is constantly in because she's pregnant. I love her rag tag group of loyal fighters. I can't even try to predict what's going to happen in the next book because the creativity is off the charts. The only thing I can say is the when book 3 comes out, I will be ready. Seatbelt and all.

It was hard to stick with this book. The action was relentless and repetitive. A baddie attacks, the team kills it, Evie gets bailed out from some resulting disaster. They worry about the baby. They sit down for dinner/go to bed and immediately another emergency begins. Rinse and repeat.

There are too many bad guys. The evil vampires, the various gate monsters, the sirens, not one, but three witches, selkies, the Akuna, the sirens again.

There are too many good guys. Cass, Brock, the bounty hunter duo, Tiana, the other witch, Molly, the two bodyguards. They just keep getting introduced to fill various roles, but without any thought from the author as to whether or not that role could have been filled by an existing character.

The constant bombardment of action replaces world building or character development.

Magic Sight is book 2 in the Supernatural Bounty Hunter series created by Lucia Astha and Leia Stone. The storyline is interesting, the characters exceptionally well developed, and each additional book in the series is better than the last. This is an extremely fast paced read, almost non-stop action. This story is well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat and turning pages non stop as you need to know what is coming. Each of the characters are interesting and well-developed. I loved Evie and Brock and their developing relationship. Am so looking forward to the next book to see what these two exceptionally gifted authors have in store for us. I highly recommend this book and series. Received a copy and this is my voluntary and honest review.

So book two follows on and we learn more about brooks protective side now that he knows he is going to be a daddy. This shows a kinder side of him but also strength when he needs to be there. The book explores the new character Tiana and her relationship with Cass and how quickly they firm a bond. Tiana is fierce and I love the strength of her character. We also learn more about Molly and her loyal friendship and despite not being a supernatural this doesn’t stop her. Calista and her sisters are out to cause havoc and open the gate. I wish there had been more action in the fight as I was looking forward to it and the lead up was good but seems to fizzle out. The big test is how they all fight the forthcoming war so looking forward to the next book

It was okay like the first. Everything was way too easy and I failed to see any danger, even though it was said it was dangerous at some points. I just didn't feel it. I also lost some respect for this book because of this line, "his sexy man bun," Sorry I don't think that fad is remoetly sexy at all and think it stupid ... can't respect a dude with a man bum no matter if he's supposed to be an uber warrior.
Everything was just too easy and everything was just too much good or bad--there didn't seem to be a balance for it.
I don't think I would've read this is it weren't KU and easy for me to just say okay to reading the next one. They cater too much to the lazy....
