Anna King has been through hell and back. She still managed to survive. She is a King after all. A baby hardly seemed anything to worry about, but just when she thought her life would return to normal, a greater threat enters Small Town, and snatches Anna from under Ryder's protection.
Will she be strong enough to face the monsters from her past all on her own?
My name is Jessica, and I am a twenty four year old self published author.
At the moment, I am working on my twelfth novel, which I hope to finish and publish by the end of the year. I am very passionate about literature, creative writing and reading books. In my spare time, I love to be outdoors, going for walks, visiting new places, reading, writing and playing with my two gorgeous cats, Dolly and Pippin. I also enjoy reviewing Korean dramas on my YouTube channel.
I never thought I was going to be a writer. It didn't even cross my mind that writing books was something I was ever going to do. When I was sixteen years old, I was studying Performing Arts in college, preparing for a future in acting. It took me two years to realize that acting wasn't something I wanted to do. At the beginning of the course, my heart was set on becoming an actor, but by the third year, I completely lost interest in it. Acting didn't bring a smile to my face anymore. I think at that point, I started asking myself what it is that I enjoyed doing, and I couldn't think of anything other than reading books.
I believe that everyone can write a story, whether it's a short story or a four hundred page story. The things that our minds come up with is just unbelievable. You are going to have people who either love your book or hate it, but don't let things like that discourage you, because, in the end, you can say that you've written a book. By yourself.
I need one hell of a large glass of wine after this!
This book is now available on Amazon!
This book has taken me over a year to finish! It's so embarrassing to say that I feel almost drained after writing this book. I think the reason why it's taken me so long to finish was because I didn't want the story to finish, and say goodbye to some of my favourite characters. I'm so sad to see this series coming to an end, but it's also a time to be happy because I can now work on something else. Chasing the Omega, was the very first written piece I'd written, and I never thought I'd finish it, let alone go to write eight more books. I've found something that I really love doing, and I can't wait to continue releasing books for you, and introduce you to new characters.
Happy reading everyone! Now, I can go back to watching Korean dramas!
I have received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
YAY I GOT MORE ALICE AND SAM!
Truth: Part 2 was so freaking good. Although it did have it moments where I was definitely annoyed with a certain character or two. Heck, maybe even the whole cast at one point.
Overall, I was super excited when I got my hands on this book. Now I'm sad because I devoured it. Oh lord, what am I going to do with my life now? Maybe re-read this series until I die? Maybe wait for Jessica to write another book for me to read? Ugh, the torture of waiting!
I've been following this series since it first came out in 2017, and was so grateful when Jessica emailed me a finished copy of this book! I could finally conclude this series!
Overall, I am a sucker for the found family trope - and was thankful we ended up there. I think the characters and the plotline of this entire series were so interesting, and book 5 definitely had the most action and mystery packed into it! Minor spelling errors and setting points aside, I can easily indulge in this series repeatedly.
Looking forward to reading more from Jess in the future!
I loved this series in general. But I think I like the beginning with Ryder and Alice the most and I think I would have been happy if the whole series stayed in their perspective. It would have been nice to see more Alice and hear her thoughts more in this book. I feel like it all started with her and I could have used a little more of her in the book. That being said the book was a great finish to the series. I would have loved even more in the series. I’m left wondering what to read now.

What Jessica Edwards does so well is keep me hooked. Right from the start of the book, I was back into the story, happy with the characters, and wanting to know what happened next. It was fun to reconnect with the boys in the pack, and I was happy to see Sam and Alice again. This story was much more disturbing than the earlier Small Town books, though. There seemed to be a lot more cursing, many more sexual references, and more intense violence. Some scenes were pretty difficult to read, especially the violent ones. Yet, even the violent scenes were entertaining and made me wonder what the outcome would be. I have to say the only thing I REALLY didn't like about this book was the epilogue. I wish it had been left off because...it's like a Shakespearean ending where everyone gets married, only . The big mystery is resolved in a satisfying way, and there are some other conclusions and big celebrations that I really enjoyed reading. I liked following these characters on their journeys over 5 books, and I have to say that, even though I'm not a paranormal fan, I was impressed with Jessica Edwards' storytelling. She kept me hooked through five books!!
