Dragon Tails #2

Song of Dragons

Rate this book
Every lore of every clan, across time and space, dreamed of dragons. Did you ever wonder why?

Erebu and Sorin fought through countless lifetimes of trials and tribulations to find one another again. They even conquered death.

But Ere’s rebirth requires a price: he must answer the Celestial Summons when it comes and faithfully complete each task the Jade Emperor sets before him.

On the bright side, he doesn’t have to perform miracles alone. Sorin will be right there with him. One the not so bright side, his Fate, the Fate of all dragon Kind, and by extension, the Universal Balance, depend on the successful execution of each quest.

No pressure.

His second task is find and retrieve the Song of Destiny.

Location
: Unknown. Time travel will be required.
Clues: Too few. But there may be a few harpies, a centaur, a giant Chinese Tibetan Mastiff and other mythical monsters along the way.
Accompaniments: His beloved Sorin (who is all he needs!) A spoiled, vain, high maintenance she-dragon (who he doesn't need). But whose enchantment spells have their uses from time to time.
Timing: ASAP. Determined by an arbitrary Sandglass in the Jade Emperor’s possession.

The end of the world may be just around the corner. Along the way, enemies may become lovers, reluctant friendships may form, and lots of hot, desperate, this-may-be-the-last-time-we-have-sex sex will definitely be had.

And who knows, you too may fall under the enchantment of…

SONG OF DRAGONS.

Re-read before release date on Xmas eve!! Can't wait!!

I loved this one, folks. I mean, there is not ONE SINGLE book written by this author that I don't love. She just scratches ALL my itches. And so many of my fave things in romance are here. See also my shelves above:

1. Sexy alpha male (who's a VIRGIN!! but MAN can he dirty talk like GAH! all that innocence AND manliness. It's the BOMB!)

(but you know, without the clothes and with longer hair, think past his butt)

2. DRAGONS!

3. Ere and Sorin!!!

4. HOT, eyebrow-singeing, emotional, intense, deeply moving SEX. My FAVE kind of sex!!! Soooooo goooodddd...

5. Intrigue, fast-paced action

6. witty banter (go Ere! but seriously my fave scene might be Divina's little chat with the virginal maidens...)

7. ancient GREECE!!! LOVE Greek mythology!!

8. CHEWIE!!!!

9. ANDROS is soooooo yummy... OMG (yes I mentioned him before but DAYYYMMMM)

10. The HEA is to DIE for!!!

That's all I'm gonna say.

READ IT!

Gazillion stars!!!! 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️😋😋😋🤤🤤🤤

ANDROS!!! MINE!!! (and I'm done with my review, enuf said :P)

Seriously...

I CLAIMED HIM!!! Check it!! https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

No, truly seriously...

I will cut a bitch (to quote Mar) if any of the rest of you hussies come near my man! Centaur! Stallion! PERSON!!

Anywho...

I LOVE Andros!!!

And unlike some of my fellow Addicts/ Muses, I don't dislike our heroine Divina. I like her actually. I didn't used to like Old Hollywood bombshells who slept around and were over the top and seemed flaky and airheaded etc., but they grew on me. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter alone make me smile.

Andros and Divina together? FLAWLESS!

And of course we've got my FAVE COUPLE IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE ACROSS ALL ROMANCE GENRES: SORIN AND ERE. So what's not to love about this book?

My fellow Muses say it better, check theirs out:

I'll conclude by saying: if you want an adventure full of true-love-induced-hot-sex, wit, action and suspense, look no further!!

BEST SERIES EVER!

I honestly don't know where to begin.

I've been telling everyone since the beginning that this writer is a genius. From the characters, the plot, the intermingling of worlds, the mythology, the history, the intricate details that make the big picture... I CANNOT GET ENOUGH!!

It all happens in ancient Greece, during a time when myth and legend were real and fundamental. I had so much fun with the rich world the author created and found myself desperate not to finish this story.

First of all, there's more Ere and Sorin. Anyone who is anyone has gotta love these guys. Ere is always a guaranteed hoot, no exception. And Sorin, with his stoicism and silent support, is always perfection. Together, these men make my day each and every time!

Then we get the task, which is hilarious when I know I should be taking things seriously. From the vagueness of the mission to the elusive hourglass, I'm over here giggling my tail off.

At first, I didn't think I'd like Divina, which would suck because she'd be the first heroine I couldn't stand. She came off very superficial and flighty and it was an ordeal to try to take her seriously. However, I quickly learned there was so much more brewing beneath her surface. As a celestial dragon, she never really had to feel or suffer or long for anything. Then she meets Andros and her whole world, shoot everything she believed in, came crashing down. And who could really blame her? Andros was everything!!!!!

Speaking of Andros... this male had so much going for him. Gorgeous looks, long beautiful hair, luminous purple eyes... and HE WAS A FREAKING CENTAUR!! I wasn't sure how these two were gonna get busy, but the author solved that dilemma right quick and it was so effing hot. I mean 'oh lawd my virgin eyes' kinda hot. Yes, these two had me feeling like a born-again blushing virgin for all that they had going on and I loved it!! What won me over from the start though was his heart. He was such a kind, thoughtful, sweet soul who only wanted someone to call his own. For someone to know him. To love him as he would love them. He only wanted Divina.

Seriously, if you can't tell by all of my exclamation points, take my silly advice and start reading these books. If you love paranormal romance, mythology, the best heroes in the game, their equally to-die-for heroines, and stories that will keep you guessing, shrieking, sighing, fanning yourself, and definitely paying attention... GET TO READING!!

I just read the sample in hopes of getting a glimpse of JE and/or Merlin. Guess, I'll have to wait for Merlin some more 🥺🥺

Well, if one wanted to stick to details, he made the bargain with the Pure Goddess. But that deity appeared to be in cahoots with the JE.

Is Pure Goddess still alive? 🤔 Was she the good or the evil one?? Why do I always forget some important info?! 😅🤦‍♀️ Anyway, don't mind me. I'm just here trying to invent a love story for JE out of thin air 😌

But Shifu is a mouthful, don’t you think? I just call him Fufu.

I'm pretty sure I made the right decision to skip this one because it was only one chapter and I already lost all tolerance for Divina and her OTT-ness 🤯 can someone explain to me how 'shifu' is a mouthful, while 'fufu' is not?? It's literally one letter difference!!! 😵 and now I'm gonna go and try to erase 'fufu' out of my brain 🙄

P.S. Ok, I did a little research and found out different meanings for 'fufu' in Chinese and now I'm really curious if Divina knows that, lol. There's probably some inside joke I don't get, so I'm voting that she calls him 'clothes' 😂😂😂😂

After bèta reading another one of Aja’s beauties, with all it’s moments of fun, anxiety, agony and finally happiness,i enjoyed reading the ARC in one go. Having the story in full always gives reading it a very different experience, and i’m so glad it does! Because now, when things turn bad,i have the remedy.
Which is só much better for my poor battered heart….

Ere and Sorin are back for their second quest, and this time they’re going to ancient Greece. With the most extravagant dragon possible!
A quetzalcoatl dragon by the name of Divina, who loves love in all it’s forms. Embraces it,nurtures it. She surprises them from the moment they meet with the way she handles not only Cloud, but Shifu and the Jade Emperor as well!
But nobody is more surprised than Divina herself when she finds out who the horse is she saves from certain death.
And how she feels about him….
Because this isn’t simply a magnificent horse. This is Andros, son of Apollo and Stilbe, daughter of the river god Peneus. And he is a centaur.
A very innocent centaur, one she can’t just have fun with and move on…..even if she wanted to. Because he evokes feelings she’s afraid to acknowledge.
Especially knowing she can’t stay…right?
Only, even though she doesn’t want to hurt his feelings, she does exactly that…..

He still promises to help them with their quest.
But he needs to retake his throne first.
And the best way to start is with the Rite of Hippodameia.
Those virgins need help picking a centaur, and those centaurs need help with the way to convince the virgins they’re a good match.
Guess who knows exactly about the how and what.
And lowers her own defenses in the process?

Imagine the horror when things go horribly wrong after he defeats his enemy!
Don’t think she is ready to let her man go….not when she just found him!
No,she will fight for him,do anything to get him back!
But can she fulfill the demand Hades himself makes?

This is a Greek tragedy,if ever i saw one…and Aja gave it twists and turns that made me ache for Divina and Andros.
That made me cry to the heavens in a desperate plea to stop the agonizing pain.
That made me smile when, finally, there was light at the end of tunnel.

But at the same time, left me worried because of the ominous signs there is more to these quests than meets the eye.
And now i find i am in a desperate need of a certain Wish…..

I have received this ARC from the author and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Song of Dragons is the second installment in the Dragon Tails series. In it, you will meet Ere, Sorin, Divina, and Andros. If you've read the previous book, you would already know who Ere and Sorin actually are. So it's safe to state that Divina is new to this group and I couldn't wait to dive into their Greek adventure!

From the very beginning, I just knew that I was going to be a fan of hers. I mean she's a freaking animal lover. Plus she has Chewie and I secretly want to steal him for myself. I can also see how she can easily rub someone the wrong way based on what happened for most of this book. It's the whole will she admit her feelings or just keep them trapped inside of her until the very last second kind of thing. I wouldn't necessarily say she's overdramatic but in some cases.. I did want to shake or slap her. Just to .. ya know.. snap her out of whatever funk she was currently in.

As for her love interest? Uh, excuse me - can I have? Or borrow? Because ohmydamn I absolutely loved Andros. Now he is someone that needs to be cherished every freaking day and night. These two just had that one of a kind chemistry. Yeah, it was rough in the beginning, and then hot during the right moments, but I had a feeling that things were going to work out in the end. Even after all the drama unfolded.

So much drama.

Other than that, so many things happened in this book. Ere and Sorin being unapologetically themselves. Ugh, love them so freaking much! Also seeing Hades and Cerberus definitely took me down the Hercules route. I may or may not have geeked a bit when they came into the story but then again - this was a Greek adventure! I just don't think it would have been the same without them being in the story - ya know?

In the end, I devoured this book when I was a beta reader and once again with the actual ARC. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my life while I'm waiting for the next book.. maybe knitting? Or rereading the books all over again? I'm up for anything!
___________________________________________
Since I was a beta reader for the chapters, I will write the most semi-amazing review after the actual ARC. All I'm going to say is that I loved the entire adventure and I can't wait to see who their next partner will be.

The previous book Dream of Dragons introduced this author to me. Since I enjoyed that book I was really looking forward to this one. And for the most part it didn’t disappoint.

I love these quests, Ere and Sorin, Chewie of course and I absolutely adored Andros.

My only problem was Divina.
So it took her a long time to win me over but she did. Until the whole…

“I like you,” she settled on replying. “I think we could make good friends.”

This section was just ridiculous. I understand her fears and her thinking but she’d just won me over and then lost me again. I was so annoyed with her I stopped reading for awhile. Where had the confident woman gone?

But despite my issues with Divina this was another good emotional and entertaining read. I loved the way the two stories built and then came together. I just couldn’t put my kindle down.
Now I’m just waiting for the next one Wish of Dragons. While I’m waiting I think I might have to check out the Pure/Dark Ones.

I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by NetGalley.

When I started writing this book, I only knew that I wanted the setting to be ancient Greece. I am a huge fan of all kinds of mythologies, and Greek mythology is one of my favorites. I didn’t know I would be writing about centaurs, however.

But once the idea came into my mind, I knew I wanted to recreate the centaur mythology. Like Divina, I think horses are the most beautiful, noble, majestic animals. Deeply loyal and pure. But for some reason, centaurs were primarily villainized in Greek mythology. Across all of the research I did, only a couple of centaurs were “good.” Chiron was one of them.

This simply doesn’t make sense to me. And, so, I rewrote the mythology, making centaurs the heroes of the story. This is why I love what I do. ;)

Hope you enjoyed it!

Book 2 in the Dragon Tails Series from Aja James.
My fellow Muses have written much better reviews than I think I can for this book. I'll list them below.
I give it five stars because this is Aja James, and I love her books, her style, and her imagination.
This book, however, was not my favorite from her, but DO NOT let that deter you. I still waited with bated breath each week for my BETA chapters from AJ. It's still a stellar Aja James book; my feelings are purely just a taste thing. I'm not all that drawn into Greek Mythology. My sister goes nuts for it and I've already recommended this book to her. I prefer PNR more than fantasy, I guess. This book has both, but because the story unfolds in ancient Greece with Centaurs and other mythical creatures, it landed more in a Fantasy category for me.

Also, Divina is not my fave heroine. I love AJ's other heroines in differing degrees, tho, so this one just didn't ring my bell, I guess. But she is strong in her own way, and gets stronger throughout the book, which, for me, is the number one qualification for an FMC in a romance book. I don't have a problem with "Marilyn Monroe types", so that's not the problem. I dunno. Just didn't resonate with Divina. I loved Sophia, the Pure Queen, in Aja James' The Pure & Dark Ones Series, and a bunch of people took issue with her, so *shrugs*...

Andros, on the other hand, is one STUD of a hero.
He's a virgin, Centaur prince. But man, is he hot. His innate sexuality and commanding way is to freaking die for. Divina did earn him in the end, and that warmed me to her a lot. I'd read this book a hundred times over for the Andros sex scenes alone!

And that's another check on the never-ending list of Yeah Babys from Aja James. The sex is HOT. This book does not deviate from that tradition! And it has humor, lots of humor. There's a scene with a group of blushing virgin sacrifices and Divina that had me spitting a mouthful of water at my laptop! Hilarious.

Ere and Sorin, the m/m couple from the last book in The Pure & Dark Ones Series, Dark Purity, are again stewards of this quest and journey that they all must go on. They are... sighhhhh. Perfection. And that I get to read about them in this new series is a treat. For that alone, I recommend this book.

I'm on pins and needles, worrying about the foreboding words from the Seventh Sister and from Hades about Sorin. He's mine. I claimed him along with PUC and Starrfish, so if anyone lays hands on him, we're coming for them! And Ere! Oh. No one can hurt him.

Dive in, if you love PNR, Fantasy, and Greek Mythology, you'll love this book. Start with the first in this new series, Dream of Dragons. Or better yet, go back to the very beginning with the first book in The Pure/Dark Series by Aja James, Pure Healing. You won't regret it!!!

Here are some amazing reviews from my fellow Muses (BETA readers) if you need more info. Though, if you're on the fence, I say, try it! You can't decide for yourself unless you READ!

What an amazing tale of another super entertaining quest! I loved the intersection of two time lines & an HEA couple from different Ages~ Andros & Divina. Andros, son of Apollo, was a centaur/warrior prince in Ancient Greece, Age of Heroes. I was spellbound by vivid images of Ancient Greece. A visit to the Underworld and an appearance of Hades was super creepy yet magical. Divina was from the Celestial Realm, present time.

I loved everything about Andros, especially his heroic feats and his true heart. (Talking about a rare one-woman man❣️) His two battles mentioned in the story were both Epic Wins‼️ Sadly, though the second one was triumphant, it was more tragic 💦 It was also a major spoiler. I could only say that it was the turning point for me because I didn't care for Divina much until then. She ended up saving his life as well as being the one who completed the quest‼️ So yeah ~ I had to fall crazy in love with her❣️

How Andros and Divina ended up happily ever after was fantastic beyond words! Seriously!

OMG!!! I really don't know what to say about her book. It feels to put my entire TBR on hold and read all her books. More so to know the story of Ere and Sorin. I have come to love them and they immense love they share for each other makes me happy. Not knowing about them feels like I am missing out.

This book has introduced us to Divina and Andros. Another amazing characters well written and developed. Divina is your extravagant, fun, cheerful dragon in human form. She is so likeable and will make you smile throughout the journey.

Andros!! Okay, you will love him or come to love him. He is a centaur with such an innocence about him but also the alpha male dominance that makes him hot and you need to meet him.

Aja James writing skills and imagination is worth praising. She takes us through an entertaining ride filled with adventure, action, fantasy, steam, love and so much more. The banter, plot, fast paced flow, twists and turns taking place in Greece did not let me put the book down.

The way it ended seemed mysterious as if the quest and problems have just begin and there is lot more to come which we might dread on behalf characters and keep rooting for them. Ere and Sorin has something huge coming up their way and that is keeping me on edge. Can't wait for the next in the series.

I highly recommend this series for all fantasy lovers out there.

Another 5 star right here!

I loved the storyline. Divina is a beautiful character with so much love to give but was scared to have the real thing herself. Ere sure hit the bullseye when he tried to get her out of her depressed funk. Andros is a survivor who was destined to lead his people. He fell hard and fast and gave himself wholly and freely to love. Divina and Andros are just too precious together and hot. Like, HOT DAMN. Thank gods and goddesses Ere asked the question I also wanted to ask after Andros came out of that lake.
description

Ere and Sorin technically completed the mission in the end even though they didn't know it. I feel like that's going to be a pattern with their next missions?? There's a bit of foreshadowing in this book in regards of the true purpose of their missions and also with Sorin. Like, who tf else wants to own his soul and for what purpose? I pity whoever will try to come after the Black Dragon's soulmate.
description

Can't wait for the rest of series!!!`

There’s a boatload of sex in this story…like…a whole lot…pages and pages…with a Hero who has the stamina of a…horse…literally cause he is one…and he’s a virgin so he is on fire 24x7 like an eager little pony.

So you’d think this Kindle-porn reader who has no time to read right now due to cray-cray work would l o v e this tale of love, sex, death, sex and a big Mastiff side-kick let alone any story that includes Ere, aka My C. Well, I did. But not for these reasons actually.

I loved this story because of the heroine, Divina. She is a hoot and she’s shaped like Jessica Rabbit. From how it takes her 15 suitcases to light-pack for a few days travel ( she is my fictional soul-sister, I need 3 suitcases just for an overnight trip ! ) to her pet-names for The Bossman, to her classic lines of simple truth in her Marilyn Monroe girlie voice ( Marilyn Monroe is one of my icons ):

“So many curves.” - “Yes,” Divina agreed, “I am excessively…round.”

Divina and her Travels were so fun, the romance was - hate me - secondary for me and Mr Stallion could have been any big guy with a big dick and a kind heart, it was Divina I was invested in. There’s a scene where she’s encouraging a bunch of women to share tales of how they…get off to help prepare them for teaching their new ponies how to please them that is side splitting…even when the story gets dark towards the end, Divina comes through…as does James and her humor especially with Hades, who of course excites this Reader with his bad boy alpha asshat ways…as he falls for his new pet, said Mastiff and the currency Divina uses to cross the river into Hell. Laughing brilliance, Aja James style.

Each chapter starts with a quote by a famous Hollywood beauty…Monroe, West, Garbo…I’d suggest Rabbit be added in classic fashion : ‘I’m not bad. I’m just drawn that way.’ I hope some future Dragon Tales include a visit with Divina…she may not be My C, but I’m her fan.

( with thanks to the author for the gift of the arc)

Ah…

I’m in a tough spot right now. I really like — occasionally even love — AJ’s stories, but try as I might, I did not enjoy this one. 😩

My biggest problem? The heroine, Divina. Gah. Even her name makes me cringe, and it’s the most low-key thing about her. From the get-go, she was childish and obnoxious (in that super-cute way), and in addition to being an animal whisperer(!), she fancied herself some sort of sex-goddess (to that I say: Bitch please, you have nothing on Jade Cicada). When she wasn’t seducing everyone on her path — innocently, of course! — she was teaching sex-ed to the virgins of Ancient Greece. 😳 I kid you not!

That brings me to my second complaint — so many virgins (of the horny, sexually frustrated variety)!! Aja’s always liked the virginal hero/heroine trope, and I admit to being swept up in all that a couple of times, but come on, I think we’ve reached double-digits here? The virgin sacrifice was a BIG part of this story.

Which in turn brings me to our virginal™ hero. In all the previous AJ books, I’ve always liked at least one half of the main couple, even if the other one was annoying af. Um. Not the case here! Andros did not steal my heart, nor did he ignite my panties — which is kind of what I expect from these, you know? — he did, however, make me roll my eyes. I had no patience for all his commanding, ordering, “my woman” this, “my female” that. Waaay too much Neanderthal in him for my liking! I know he’s a big, strong centaur, but this was just excessive. And I thought Goya the Tiger King was possessive?

Eh.

The adventure was pretty interesting, and of course I adore Ere and Sorin (who make every story better!), but reading a book with two unlikable (for me) MCs is just exhausting.

If Aja won’t introduce more strong, likable heroines like 👉Aella,👈 Jade, Inanna, Eveline (or even Rui from the previous book), I will have to bow out, sorry.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

5 AJ...You Make Diva Look Good Stars!

We are back in the Dragon Tails fantastical world with the second quest to locate the Song of Destiny. Ere and Sorin are joined this time by the spirited and frisky Divina and her noble steed Chewie. The Jade Emperor has once again given little information for their journey but they have a limited amount of time to do it. Dropped into a potentially perilous time and place, it's up to them to use their wits and gifts to complete their quest.

Ere and Sorin are still the hottest and never fail to make me swoon at the passionate bond they share. Divina? Well...admittedly I did not care for her bouncy and boisterous personality at first. She’s like a glass of aged whisky...you don’t get the full experience and beauty until it sits on your palate. While she may have been hard for me to connect with at first, she grew on me quickly and I loved who she became with Andros.

Who is Andros you ask? Well, when their journey begins, Divina meets the complex and beautiful Andros who is horse/centaur/man (and a few other things) and all her feminine parts know he is hers despite her head telling her differently. As a fertility dragon, she never saw herself claiming one mate but Andros proves her wrong and tears her walls down at every turn. She is powerless to stop the overwhelming attraction they share and her reluctance to go all in speaks to her need to protect even if it doesn’t come off that way at first. Andros, while a man of few words, was the ultimate alpha male. When he did speak, he spoke with purpose. When he spoke to Divina, the meaning behind every word held conviction and unbridled heat. They were the perfect combination of personality and their interactions left me breathless every time.

But Divina isn’t from Andros’ world and locating the Song of Destiny is proving to be more difficult than the crew thought. Danger and pain is on the horizon and no one knows how this could possibly end happily for every single party. Especially when Hades, Cerberus, Harpies, stolen maidens, other centaurs and battles find their way into their treacherous journey. AJ weaves such an intriguing tale and I couldn’t put this book down.

Will Ere, Sorin and Divina locate that of which they seek? Can Divina and Andros be together or will they fall away from each other like the sands of time? Will Ere, Sorin and Chewie get out unscathed? What will the future hold when there is so much ominous foreshadowing? So many questions but to find the answers you’ll have to read this steamy and suspenseful expedition yourself because spoiling it here would be a grave injustice.

On a final note, if you haven’t already, go back and read the Pure/Dark Ones series and then dive into this wonderful series...it’s just so good I could cry.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fun, sexy, clever, fast-paced and I didn't want to put it down. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is the book 2 in the Dragon Tails series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as others by this author.

A truly fun-filled, action-packed and super-steamy follow up to Dream of Dragons. Each book is a complete story/romance but I believe that to best enjoy this story you should previously have read book #1 where the over-arching quest is outlined in more detail.

I enjoyed this more than book #1, whether that was because I understood the world, and the occasionally irritating Ere, better or the story suited my tastes more I'm not sure. However, I quickly found myself caught up in the story and enamoured by Andros and Davinia. I loved that the hero and heroine were very different to the protagonists of the previous book whilst the "any place, any time" aspect of the series also allowed the setting to be unrelated. There is nothing cookie-cutter about these stories!

The characters were well written, detailed, complicated, flawed and so utterly likeable. The plot moved with a good pace, holding my interest, taking me on several side-trips and rarely predictable. This is becoming a wonderful series!

This book was SO. MUCH. FUN. Since reading Dream of Dragons, the first book in this series, I had to go read the Pure/Dark one series and did that within a span of about a week and a half because I just couldn't stop. Those books aren't necessary to enjoy this book but this book does mention some of the events from that series. After all, Ere and Sorin are still a part of this series (and forever more, please, because they are one of my favorite couples of all time in any paranormal series).

Ere and Sorin are tasked to take on a quest because Ere agreed to do these tasks in order to be resurrected and to be with his eternal mate. Throughout the story, the reader gets peeks into their love and every single time, I swoon. I love these two characters and their love- Sorin's protectiveness and adoration and Ere's absolute obsession with Sorin (replete with hilarious observations, as expected from Ere) made me smile. Honestly, almost everything about Ere makes me smile. I love him.

To complete this task, which is to find and bring back the Song of Destiny, they bring along the Quetzalcoatl dragon, Divina. At first, she seems flighty. However, throughout the story, you see her strength and absolute dedication to what is most important to her- love. (she is the fertility dragon, after all). She has so many humorous moments and as a character, I really enjoyed getting to know her and see her growth.

They meet the centaur Andros and they take on the quest together. The relationship between Andros and Divina is fantastic- sensual, as expected, but also with an emotional strength. He was such a strong and swoon-worthy character. (as were all the good Centaurs because, Centaurs...haha) Another fantastic couple in this world that Aja James has created.

Even more so, I found myself really fascinated with the Greek mythos introduced in this story, as well as really invested in how the quest is going to play out (a bit of a mystery to piece together- similarly to the first story). The description of the environment was detailed and well written. And, there is Chewie the dog. (I'm a total dog lover- read the book and you'll want to hug this dog too- I admit I googled what a Giant Chinese Tibetan Mastiff looks like). Once I started this story, I couldn't stop, similar to the other books by Aja James. I can't wait for the next installment! Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an early copy.

Are you even surprised that Aja James has slayed yet another book? This woman (if she's even human) is a writing machine, and she churns out pure gold every time.

This book, obvi, is no exception. I have to admit, when I first found out it was about centaurs, I was wary. I mean, I love me a non-human H as much as the next gal... but horse parts. HORSE PARTS.

If you share this fear - fear not! There is nothing involving horse parts and still plenty of sexy sexytimes. Very sexy sexy sexytimes to satisfy all urges for sexy sexytimes!

Andros is the perfect balance of dominant alpha male and virgin beast-man. So in other words H-A-W-T. So HAWT I claimed him for myself, in fact. (Okay, so I share him with Starr, but we worked out a sufficient arrangement that I believe satisfies both parties.)

As for Divina.... dun dun dun....... I actually learned to like her! I know the Muses know I wasn't a fan of her in the beginning, but on the second readthrough, I don't know. Something just clicked. She didn't annoy me. Perhaps it was because I was able to read it quicker and her failings were resolved within hours instead of weeks. (Reading weekly chapters can be quite trying at times!)

Either way, I was 100% satisfied.

EXCEPT WHAT WAS WITH THE SCARY FORESHADOWING? Don't mess with Ere and Sorin! They've been through enough!!!!!!! I'm officially terrified for the future now.

First of all thanks so no much to the talented author for the ARC.
This book was everything I needed, Ere and Sorin are on a new quest with a very sexy female named Divina, she loves animals and can persuade people to follow her lead.
They travel to an ancient time, where they find mythical creatures and an ancient God.
Divina finds a perfect male, Andros, he is a natural leader. The romance is amazing, the hot scenes are sexy and the action is very entertaining.
Once I started to read I couldn't put this book down.
If you're looking for a sexy romance, with unexpected characters in a fantastic world, this is for you .

Song of dragon by Aja James.
Dragon Tails book 2.
Every lore of every clan, across time and space, dreamed of dragons. Did you ever wonder why?
Erebu and Sorin fought through countless lifetimes of trials and tribulations to find one another again. They even conquered death.
A lovely read. I enjoyed this book. Great story and characters. I loved the cover. That's what drew me to this book. 5*.

Aja is brilliant!

Anyone that can make me cry over a book, is an amazing writer!
When A lost that fight, I was SHOCKED, steaming and BAWLING that there wasn't a happy ever after right away and D....my goodness you had my good feels in the literal toilet! I balled like a baby...my poor husband lol. It was our anniversary, he's like, "why are you crying" ......errrrr
.
I felt ALL of Ds pain, ALL OF IT. Poor Ere and Sorin...I think if you take Sorin and/or Ere away from each other I might just toss my kindle in the trash. I see the hints being tossed our way. Their love and devotion is eternal. If you break it, I will ugly cry for days!!!

It's like you are sticking your finger inside 7th sister's well and like stiring the pot!

End of whine.......I absolutely LOVED this book and am enabered with this series and Aja! I didn't have to hide in a supply closet this time to finish. I finished this book after a night shift at work (midnight) and couldn't put it down until 4 in the morning! Great world building, fantastic strong female and a hawt, sexy, smoldering Centaur, toss in our couple of Dragons with a Phoenix, and a cute as heck liondog pup, all on a quest and you have a story so very difficult to put down!

Good luck and bring tissues (or TP in my case, just sayin)!

4 moraki mou stars!

I love Aja James, her writing style and storytelling are a dream, so effortless and captivating.
Andros is The Male, no other words needed to describe him and I felt Divina came up short.

Also loved the refreshing angle to Greek myths, being a Greek myself, God are they brutal and heart wrenching most of the time, so yeah, really enjoyed this one.

You cannot go wrong with Ms James, you want to keep on reading and stay in her unique universe for ever. So I shall.

See you on her next book. Enjoy.

So I was going to give this book 4 stars - it's entertaining and I enjoyed the story. I struggle a bit with the whimsical and childlike behaviors the women portray in the series. However tonight after I decided to treat myself to tacos from my favorite restaurant, I was very excited to take that few minutes while I waited for my food to finish this book. And then...I realized I had already finished it. And was profoundly disappointed there wasn't more to the story. So, it is getting bumped up to 5 stars. It's ok if you didn't read any of Aja James' other books - there is enough background story to catch you up without being overly repetitive. Ere/Sorin clearly have more left to their story as it is ever being entwined with others on their quests. The story line is enough to keep you engaged, the sex is hot enough to make it steamy and the frustration of the characters is real. I'll probably start reading it again just to pretend I can continue the story until the next book comes out.

Thanks to the author for allowing me to read it! I received it as an ARC in exchange for my review.

*I received a copy in exchange for a review.*

The second in the Dragon Tails series, Song of Dragons is another fun, sexy romp through time with plenty of magic — we’ve got dragons, centaurs, Hades, and the Jade Emperor all in one. Again Ere and Sorin are sent out on another mission to retrieve yet another cryptic treasure — this time they go with Divina, a fertility dragon, in search of the Song of Destiny. Along the way, they meet Andros, a centaur who is the only one who can properly lead his fellow centaurs.

The sex was hot. The characters fun and believable. Overall a good read.

My only critique is that the storyline of Andros taking over as leader of the centaurs felt a bit rushed. We saw bits and pieces of it but it was a little anticlimactic. It’s only tangentially related to the story so it didn’t take away from the main plot but I would have liked more of it since it was an important subplot.

I’m looking forward to the next in the series and am officially an Aja James fan!

EDIT: To the people who've left nasty comments, this book wasn't on KU when I had the notification about the book. Now that it is on KU I will happily leave a 5 star review.
I pay a monthly subscription to read books so I will not be purchasing anything extra no matter how much I love the authors work, I'm not made of money.

The comment made regarding the author gets paid very little from Amazon, that's their choice to publish through them and nothing to do with me or anyone else.

Leave all the bitchy comments you like, I won't be responding.

This book isn't on Kindle Unlimited as all of the other books were. Hopefully it will be soon, until then I will not be reading, very disappointed as I was looking forward to it.

5+++STALLION STARS

Aja James has totally outdone herself with this masterpiece. Her stories never cease to amaze me and she always surpasses my expectations. I went through so many emotions as I read this I can't even name them all. This book was written so well I couldn't put the Arc down, the characters were amazing especially a certain Centaur but alas he has already been claimed by a fellow beta reader.

The fact that before I started reading this book I was looking for a book set in Greece with their gods and culture and BOOM Aja serves me this fantastic book. I could not be any happier. The Grecian theme made me giddy because I absolutely adore the Greeks, their history and their culture.

The characters were so amazing. I was smiling as I read about Divina because I loved her character development so much. I usually don't like bitchy, divalicious characters but Aja made her likeable and eventually lovable. I can't wait to read about what other main characters she manages to come up with. I was about to write about Andros in this paragraph but he deserves a paragraph by himself.

If I was to use three words to describe Andros it would be Alpha, SEXY, and Delicious. Andros is so hot I was mentally and physically burning up as I read about him and the sexual tension between him and Divina set my ovaries on fire. The fact that he was a virgin but knew dirty talk is beyond me because that is the hottest thing I have ever read. I definitely need more Andros chapters because his pov was always so interesting. I have no idea how I will be able to read my next book without comparing Andros to the Hero.

The fact that Ere and Sorin were in this story made it so much better I definitely missed my favourite M/M couple.

The last thing I want to say is that I have a bad feeling about the seventh sister based on the fact that she was trying to flirt with Sorin.

I recommend this to everyone who loves paranormal romance.

**RECEIVED AS AN ARC FROM NETGALLEY**

This is the second book in this series. We are with Ere and Sorin as they go through this journey. A gorgeous centaur by the name of Andros is involved in this one. You won't be able to put it down after reading the opening paragraph. I will continue with this series and I cannot wait to see where it goes.

Really liked this series.
In this book the structure is similar to the first book, but the story is totaly diferent and is nice that it follows the same structure, so the feel that is all part of the same story is stronger despite being two separate quests.
The mystery of the why this weird quests take places grows and makes you want to have the next books in the story asap, and gives you lots of questions tho ponder about during the wait.
I love the dynamic  between Ere and divina, appearances are deceiving and even tho they don't have the best of friendship it is nice to see the evolution. It is also nice to have a quetzalcoatl as is not a variety of dragon usually seen in fantasy books and it is refreshing.
This book is also way more sexy than the previous, or at least for me, the erotica is beautiful explanatory and made my ears almost go up in flames.
The only thing is the feeling that there is something you are missing. Some of the characters are part of a previous series and even when some references make you want to grab the other  books and read them hungrily. I find that this book have a bit to much reference to a previous story that I don't know and that make me feel I'm missing part of the story, and it is a bit annoying. But still not enough to ruin the book. This is a great read and will be expectanly waiting for the next installment.
