Composing Molly

Rate this book
Rebecca Rose, author of A Garden for Allegra, weaves her magic again in Composing Molly. In this second in a series, we now follow Allegra in her new life as she discovers the true meaning of family in the collectively composed and delightfully chaotic Gilly household. Everyone needs saving in this wildly original historical fiction; a story told with endearing whimsy as it examines one family's unique life in the idyllic countryside of 1930's England.

As the author of this book, I am slightly prejudiced! I do want to mention how fun this book was to write, and feel I should point out that if you enjoyed the quiet, dreamy atmosphere of my first book 'A Garden for Allegra', this next in the series may come as a bit of a shock. :o) But I really didn't want to write the same story, over and over again. Allegra and Molly are two very different people, though sisters. (oops, was that a spoiler??) There is a lot of energy, life, and fun in this book.
