I'm pretty sure I've said it before but this is another hit by CJ Morrow.
This story is set mainly in Devon. It's the story of Lily trying to get control of her life and decide what she wants. She meets a charming man and starts a 'no past, no future' holiday fling. The charming man then appears in her real life. There is a little twinkling of magic too
The story is so well written and the characters instantly likeable, although I'm not sure about Damion, that you feel very quickly that you know them and are invested in Lily's life. There are definitely some proper laugh out loud moments, especially with Gemma.
I'd definitely recommend everyone to read CJ's books.

I absolutely LOVED this book. It combines all the factors that (in my opinion) make a great book: romance, humor, surprising twists, and a strong female character.
I enjoyed the story so much and fell in love with Lily and Jackson.
2020 had been a yikes year. I didn't enjoy it, but the one of the few good things it brought me is the time to discover C.J Morrow's books. I've read four of them so far, and I loved them all. Thanks C.J for giving me some fun escape stories for this crazy time we are experiencing.

I enjoyed this fun story of a career woman in England who breaks up with her longtime boyfriend when he fails to make a commitment, and then goes off with her girlfriend on a beach adventure to get over it. In the process she decides to have a no-strings fling with a handsome man who rescues her from the ocean. Imagine her horror when she arrives back at the office after the vacation to discover he is her new boss, having gotten the job she had interviewed for just before going on vacation! An enjoyable story with a satisfactory ending.

British quirky romance is a favorite of mine, so enjoyed this book which is a fun light read. Liked the main character and enjoyed the best friends and the semi-protagonist friend as well. Characters were developed enough that the reader could develop an affinity for them and feel a part of this story. Plot was predictable but still well written, so wasn't boring going along for the ride.
