Nightmares are memories that we don’t want to remember
Evelyn has been found by the perfect family after she was rescued, lost and confused, in the forest. A head injury was the only explanation for her memory loss, and there were no other indicators of who she was or where she was from, and no missing persons meeting her description. But she couldn’t be happier as her new little family moves into a beautiful home in the more rural parts. New challenges arise, it’s not just about navigating new siblings, but blackouts and waking up with blood on her hands. Who was she before she lost her memory? Who was Kiara? And why is there a figure in the mirror haunting her?
The fitting sequel to Ensnared. If you’re looking for a graphic young adult horror with a twist, one click now.
Born in South Africa, in the heart of Johannesburg, Sian Claven grew up with a vivid imagination. When she wasn't immersing herself in books, she was actively creating her own stories.
At 29 years old, left to her own devices after her sister immigrated, Sian, wrote her first horror book Ensnared and dared to publish it under the guidance of indie authors Toni Cox and Ashleigh Giannaccaro.
Now she has released more than ten books including a thriller and sci-fi fantasy.
In 2019, Sian took up the challenge of publishing 11 books in 11 months.
Sian came second place in the First Annual Indie Awards for Favourite African Author.
Sian's book, Sylvana, the final book in her Butcher series, made the Amazon top 100 best sellers list in several categories across three countries.
In her spare time, Sian is an avid Harry Potter fan, pop collector and Bingo addict. She resides in Johannesburg with her 2 best friends, their daughter, their 6 dogs and 2 cats.
Claven does it again! This story is creepy and bloody and perfect for a short, engaging read! I will admit that at certain places, it did get a bit predictable, but other than that, I really enjoyed this story. Claven is perfect for a good horror book and she keeps proving it book after book. And the cover! I easily recommend this book for horror lovers!
I highly recommend you read Enslaved first before picking up this one.
Karen and Aubrey adopt Evelyn and think that all is perfect and she was everything that could want in a daughter that is until Evelyn starts to have dreams or are they memories about her past? who is she really? all will be revealed.
Another great read by this author. I am not going to go into details as the book is short but I love how Sian fits so much into a short story and it all makes sense. I really enjoyed this one. and can't wait to see what the author brings us next.
A great follow-on to Ensnared, which was Sian's first novel. In Liberation, the story continues, unravelling the mystery in a horrifying sequence of events. True to Claven's style, be prepared to expect the unexpected, and an ending you won't see coming.
Evelyn getting adopted from the orphanage she was the smallest for her age, getting a new family taking care of the siblings while Mom and Dad work... turns out to be the start of everything.. little things happen bringing back memories. pieces here and there blacking out now and then waking up not knowing what has happened... but soon the memories start to flow through things that happened with this girl well you must read ensnared.... before reading this one liberation both books are totally amazing and I must say you'll want to read them back-to-back they're that good they go together you'll understand more of what this girl is all about what she can do and what she does to a family how many more will go through the things she's willing to do dark evil things I love reading books by this author she has the best stories ever thank you.. Sian Claven...💜📚
First I want to say that I absolutely adore this cover. It is in true keeping with the whole horror aspect of the book. Sian is dominating the horror genre and with Liberation she doesn’t hold back. The creepy factor hits 100% and just be cautious when looking in the mirror. That all I’m going to be saying as I don’t want to give anything away with the outcome of the story. So for a quick read, this is for you.
A shirt and fast read. And because of it’s length, it feels like some parts are rushed. I like it and reminds me of a movie i once read but the last 10% i can do without.
What a sequel to the Ensnared story. I for sure won't want a Kiara in my life she is the evils of all evils. And the scary part is she hides it very well with that angel face. She was definitely something.
