About the author

　　原籍南京。香港大學中文系博士畢業，現任香港浸會大學副教授。作品出版於兩岸三地，著有小說《北鳶》、《朱雀》、《七聲》、《戲年》、《謎鴉》、《浣熊》，文化隨筆《繪色》、《小山河》，學術論著《此心安處亦吾鄉》等。部分作品譯為英、法、俄、日、韓等國文字。

　　長篇小說《朱雀》獲選「亞洲週刊華文十大小說」，二○一六年以新作《北鳶》再獲此榮譽，並斬獲各項大獎。包括二○一六年度「中國好書」、「華文好書」評委會特別大獎、當代長篇小說年度五佳、二○一六年中版十大中文好書等。作者獲頒《南方人物週刊》「二○一六年度中國人物」。

　　曾獲首屆香港書獎、香港藝術發展獎、臺灣聯合文學小說獎首獎、臺灣梁實秋文學獎等獎項。作品入選「當代小說家書系」、「二十一世紀中國文學大系」、「二○○八、二○○九、二○一五中國小說排行榜」、「二○一五年度誠品中文選書」。

本書有三篇，第三篇的瓦貓故事很有張力。天高地闊，但人找個安身的去處卻不容易。

3篇關於技藝匠師的故事，分別是古籍修復師、理髮師、瓦貓製作，理論上這種傷物、懷古應該是滿會打動我的，但這本讀來真的很無感...尤其最後一篇同名短篇更是洋洋灑灑前後幾十年回顧，最後仍僅略懂略懂，看了豆瓣的討論發現情節跟我原先想的一樣，那何苦情節在某一段（最後托人送信的藏族老婦部分）故意晦澀起來，簡直大可不必。
