Operation: Sleeping With the Enemy

Rate this book
In this enemies-to-lovers romantic thriller, two international spies must put their differences aside and work together to stop a terrorist out for revenge.
As one of the top assassins in the world, Naomi Singer is a lone wolf. She doesn't let anyone get close. Family, country, honor...they're all that matter.
Except when a smart-talking, Marine-turned-spy makes her question her mission. He's under her skin, in her dreams.
He's also her target.
Josh Devons doesn't trust the beautiful assassin in his bed, but that doesn't stop him from wanting her. The risk is life or death, but the rewards... They're too great to resist.
When the two discover a sinister plot manipulating both their countries, it's up to Josh to keep Naomi safe from the very agency who trained her. He'll sacrifice everything to convince her of his love, even if it means becoming a traitor-or dying at her hands.

The Art of Betrayal is wonderful traditional cozy mystery with an American main character and a strong British feel. This third novel in the Kate Hamilton Mysteries by Connie Berry held me in its grasp throughout. I loved it even more than the first two, that makes three out of three winners! I can't call it fast-paced because it takes time for Kate and Tom to put the whole mystery together but there is so much action that it feels like a dash from end to end; I was barely able to catch my breath. The plot is well constructed which is really important with a book this complex. I love most of the characters and appreciate not only the romantic relationship between Tom and Kate but the amount of respect he shows in her interest in the case.

My thanks to NetGalley and Crooked Lane for allowing me to read an ARC of The Art of Betrayal. As a big fan of the series, I had to make that request and am more than happy to share my thoughts about the book. I always do when I love a book. Now I am anxious to see what is next for Kate and Tom.

I am in love with this Super Agent Series and have been since the very beginning! Conrad Flynn continues to train/select great spies for his army and I love watching him interact with them. It seems Josh needs a little oversight right now from his boss, Director Flynn. After all, Josh does have a soft spot for the enemy (Naomi) which is fun to watch play out. Their interactions are easy between them, but you never know when you can trust either of them. I often was worried Josh would be taken advantage of, but there is a reason he works for the CIA. They don't hire dummies!

Evans writes great stories with well developed characters, a unique plot and a great balance of drama, romance, and comedic moments. While Operation: Sleeping with the Enemy is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone, so give it a try! Sexy spies, entertaining characters, and an intriguing plot make this a pager turner of a book!

I love this author and series. Misty never fails to keeps you hanging on till the end. Naomi works alone as an assassin. She is ready to get out of the family business of working for Mossad but her grandfather is the leader and he blackmails her to do one last job. She is to set up her enemy and lover Josh to take the fall for a government weapon that she is going to steal. Josh doesn't trust Naomi but is unable to keep his hands off her. When a bomb goes off things go sideways and they must work together to figure out whats going on. A must read story. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

Operation Sleeping with the Enemy

WOW! Another FANTASTIC story by Misty! This story is about Josh and Naomi. It's amazing how a CIA operative and a Missed operative get together to solve the bombing and to clear herself and her grandfather. The culprit was someone that Naomi thought she had killed. Once the bombing was solved and the culprit was caught, Josh and Naomi started to work on their happily ever after once she was out of the hospital. FANTASTIC job Misty! I would highly recommend this book! Can't wait for the next book!

Operation: Sleeping with the Enemy is the seventh book in Misty Evans’s Super Agent series. If you love romantic suspense, this book is for you. It was fun watching Josh and Naomi dance around their feelings. Add in the suspense that Ms. Evan is well known for writing and Operation: Sleeping with the Enemy is a winner in so many ways. It is a quick read and definitely a standalone but I suggest reading the other books in the series. You won’t be disappointed. I received an advance copy and this is my honest review.

Awesome, story

I agree with Flynn, no two spies have ever been more made for each other.
Spies and assassins don't mix!!! Or do they??
I love the playfulness of this couple, their banter is fun simmering and explosive all at once but they still take their jobs seriously.

Another winner by one of my favorite authors! This fast moving romantic suspense follows Naomi and Josh as they follow a twisting trail of clues in their efforts to keep their countries safe. Their story is sexy and engaging as they work at cross purposes during the day and sleep together at night. I loved their characters and found myself invested in their story.

If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book - put it on your TBR list. The author is on my must read authors' list.
