After Wallace MacLeod scandalizes his family in a brazen attempt to put a stop to the wedding of the woman he thinks he loves, Wallace flees to the small cottage he's built on land his father left him on Loch Coruisk. There, he intends to make good on his dream to raise and train the finest racers. Women can just be damned. Or, at least, he says that...until he is reacquainted with Lady Catriona Gordon, and falls head over heels in love.
Lady Catriona Gordon discerns that the rumors of the wild Wallace MacLeod are just that—rumors. She finds him handsome, generous and deliciously wicked. She also knows he is dangerous to her reputation but throws caution to the wind, falling madly in love with Wallace.
Twists and turns become a way of life as the couple settles into their new life. Who is behind the accidents and destruction that seem to follow them? Is it a jilted suitor who was not at all happy with her choice of a husband, or is it someone closer to the young pair?
The Wicked Seduction of Wallace MacLeod is the fifth book in the MacLeods of Skye series. Each book is a standalone and can be enjoyed out of order.
I've always been a creative individual. Writing is just a facet of that creativity...
My careers in public relations in and around the entertainment industry, photography, editing, artist management, modeling and special event planning all elevated my passion for writing, not to mention gave me a treasure trove for story lines.
I write historical romance (as JR Salisbury) and contemporary (as Jamie Salisbury) I am fortunate enough that writing (and marketing of said product(s)) is my full-time job, although I always have one or two other projects going at the same time.
I now live in a suburb of Atlanta when I'm not in the UK. Some of my other interests include photography, equestrianism, reading, and of course, travel.
I sincerely hope my writing will entertain, enlighten, and inspire others to pick up the pen and pursue their own dreams. I love to be contacted by readers, writers, and history buffs.
Wallace and Cat absolutely adorable and this book. I loved them from their courtship to their romantic love affair. I give high praises to the writer for creating a story that actually had the readers enjoy a relaxing story to be carried away in. I would like for the heroines age range to be twenty four or older or maybe suggesting that she’s of age, rather then stating that she’s twenty one. For me this book flowed easily. There was not one moment where the book seem to slow down. I’m not saying that the book reads at fast pace, but the writer filled the book with so much interesting entertainment. For me this made the book well worth the read. I like how the writer made the book an easy read. The book also reads with realism. There are some moments in the book were readers could relate to some issues of the story. There other things that brings reality to the book, such as how the writer describes the scenes, the land, cottages, what the characters are eating, even to what they are wearing. The characters personalities are entertaining and brings delight and charm to the story.
This is a wonderful romance between two very different people. Wallace MacLeod is the youngest of five brothers so has grown up with lots of teasing from all of them. The oldest Rory is not only his brother but also the Laird of Clan MacLeod. Wallace embarrasses the whole family in Church by trying to stop his cousins wedding to a girl he thought loved him. Rory was going to send him away till he decided to run away to a cottage on land his dad left him. Planning to stay away till everyone clams down. Ah but the brothers know where he is and soon let him know. Lady Catriona Gordon is the only daughter of Hamish Gordon a wealthy older family. He is a MP and very involved in Parliament. Wallace knew her when she was younger but she is all grown up now !! Catriona has heard all the rumors about how wild Wallace has become but doesn't believe them. She finds Wallace to be not only very handsome but also kind and wicked too. Making her think of all kinds of things... he is dangerous to her reputation but mostly to her heart. When Wallace asks to court her, her dad also let other man court her too. Timothy MacKenzie is the son of one of her father's friends. He is also broke an needs her dowry. He tells her she is going to marry him period. There is a lot going on behind the scenes both with the couples and evil forces that want to keep them apart. This is an easy read story but one that will have you not wanting to put it down. The author makes you feel everything that is happening, the rain, the travel the smells everything. This is a wonderful story which will have you both laughing and also crying too. I hope you get a copy and enjoy. I received an ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it...
JR Salisbury’s “The Wicked Seduction of Wallace MacLeod: A steamy historical Victorian romance” is book 5 in the MacLeods of Skye Series.

Thinking he was in love, Wallace MacLeod attempted to stop the wedding of the woman of his affections. After causing scandal to his family, Wallace has retired to a small cottage he's built on land his father left him on Loch Coruisk. Done with women, he’s focused on raising racers. Until… Lady Catriona Gordon.
This is a sweet love story with likable characters. I enjoyed the relationship between Wallace and Catriona and found it interesting to watch them overcome the obstacles to their happily ever after.
Nicely done! Wallace is the youngest brother of a Duke. He is constantly being the brunt of his older brothers jokes and teasing. Catriona is a young lady who knows who and what she wants from life. She has decided she wants to marry Wallace and luckily he feels the same way. Their relationship will not be without its detractors and struggles. The story has wonderful characters and a strong plot.
I initially really loved this family, but the later books starting with Lily have been disappointing. Whereas Lily's story just departed from all of the foundations laid in the preceding books, this one did not. The problem with this story is that there wasn't much of a story. The romance is resolved within the first third of the book and the mystery really isn't a mystery since we all know who the villain is. It was a simple sweet story, but not what I expected nor would pay to read.
I loved how this love story developed. You followed Wallace and Cat as they navigate marriage and hard work for their dream. But someone is out to sabatoge them. A former suitor of Cat's is determined to steal her away from Wallace. Their strong love for each other will withstand through it all.
The fifth book in the MacLeods of Skye series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Lady Catriona Gordon marries Wallace MacLeod they will have a lot to overcome. There is suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, a really nasty villain, arson, and romance. The story was well worth reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
