I had a great night of drinkin’ and went back to the hotel with a gorgeous woman. Prettier than anyone I’ve ever seen before. We had mind-blowing sex, and I mean mind blowing. So good I’ve had dreams about her ever since.
Hell, I told all my brother’s about the piece of ass I nailed at the concert and they told me I was a fool for lettin’ her get away. They were right. I was the world’s biggest idiot. I shouldn’t have ever let her walk outta that hotel room that mornin’ but I was asleep when she left.
I didn’t think I’d ever run into her, but I did in the most surprising of places. Only, when we found each other again everything clicked. Every memory came rushing back to the front of my mind.
This wasn’t just any woman. She was my wife. I married a woman when I was drunk, and from the look on her face, she must’ve remembered and that’s why she was nowhere to be found in the mornin’. My brother’s said lettin’ her go was a mistake, so I’ll make damn sure I don’t let it happen again.
I’m a huge Land fan. A huge fan. I get all the books as soon as they become available but now these books are becoming trite. There was so much wrong from the get go. And their relationship was completely unbelievable.
Spoilers:
He takes her virginity and knows she was drugged (which was not his fault) but then he screws her in her shower and then leaves for a week with no contact as he’s talking to her family behind her back and basically forcing her to be with him and he even says he uses sex to make her agree when he knows she is completely clueless to her body and just started having sex to begin with. Also she’s REALLY shy but then when I sweet butt comes onto him she gets really sassy and rude out of no where. That’s unbelievable. Instead he should have pulled the club whore off him and been a man instead of letting a young neive girl fight his battles.
I could say that this is an anomaly in her books lately but it’s not. Lately they have been thrown together just to have more than a 100 words to push out a book. Also the hatred this author has for women who sleep around is astounding. Yes club girls are par for the course in an MC but the way these ol ladies basically scream and abuse them is not okay. If you’re that insecure than you need to be in a better relationship and not quick to beat a woman for looking at your man. Of course most of these men blatantly admit to sleeping with these women before so it’s not just on the club girls.
Really enjoyed Whip and Harper's story. A one night stand that neither can remember, Whip wakes with a beautiful stranger in a hotel bed with a wedding ring on his finger, he leaves to go get them coffee so they can sort out what happened the night before. While he's gone Harper wakes with no idea where she is or how she got there, sore and wearing a wedding ring. She quickly flees without knowing who she was with or what the hell happened.
A few months later Harper moves to a new town for a new teaching job and when Whip drops off his nephew at school one day he comes face to face with his one-night stand and wife. Harper doesn't recognise Whip and has no idea that she's meeting her husband.
The two have to figure out if they are actually married and what to do about it. Whip decides pretty quickly he wants to keep Harper but a dangerous stalker and family will have to be dealt with first.
This series of books are a great quick read. Most I can get through in a couple of hours so when you're short on time and want a good story with alpha men who'll do anything for the woman they love then these books are for you. You get a great story, with some drama and a nice HEA to finish it off. Bonus you get to see the characters pop up in other stories.
I do recommend reading them in order, as the characters overlap over the different series and MC clubs. You'll be lost with who some people are without the background.

Will Whip and his brothers be able save her in time or will they be too late? This was a fast paced loving romance story full of wit, steamy moments, suspense and drama as only E.C. Land can give her readers. Love the interation with the Devil's Riot brothers and their women as this series about love and family gets better with each addition. Can't wait to see what E.C. Land has in store for us next!
Seems like half a story. I'm not usually a fan of novella length books because there's no opportunity for character development or plot and world building, but I've fallen in love with EC Land's overarching storyline in her books. This one however fell short for me. We didn't learn anything new about Whip other than what we already knew from his sister Brielle's story (see Ryder's Rush). All we really learned about Harper is that she's an elementary school teacher, her brother Hart served in the army with Whip, and she has very dubious choice in friends. It feels like we actually learned more about Viper, who has a story coming soon than we did about either Harper or Whip. It felt very rushed and incomplete, much more so than is usual for this author.
Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of EC Land and her crossover co-author Elizabeth Knox. In fact, after I got used to the novella length of their stories, I became engrossed with the total saga. I just had to come to terms with the fact that each story released is more like a chapter in a long epic tale. I even created a spreadsheet to track timelines, continuing story arcs from other stories, family relations, and connections with other characters and stories. I update this spreadsheet with every new chapter in this chronicle. I can sort this by series, character, villain, family, and more. I am fully committed to discovering what's next by this author, and I've read every word she's ever published. I just wish there was more actual "meat" with this story.

Harper Wilde doesn't remember anything about that night, just that she was drugged and woke up in a hotel room with a wedding band. She's scared and angry at the same time, because the people who she should be able to trust were the ones who betrayed her. Struggling with the reality that she's married, Harper does the only thing she can, move away and continue on with her life.
Whip woke up confused after a party one night. The only thingngl he remembers is that his wife is gloriously beautiful. Then she disappeared. Imagine the shock when taking his brother's son to school and he comes face to face with his beautiful wife. Double that shock to find out he served with her brother in Afghanistan.
The story between Whip and Harper is sweeter than most. Yes there is conflict. Yes there is danger. But Whip and Harper work together to smooth out the rough edges. They form a bond that not only bolsters trust, but brings hope for their future.
This was a well written book, a perfect continuation of the Devil's Riot MC series. You won't be able to put it down. It's definitely worth the read.

This was a refreshing addition to the series because Harper's trouble had nothing to do with tie ins from the other books! As I've said before these books are standalone per couple but for sure are interconnected within the series and within the authors other series so it was fun when Harper was introduced as a never before seen character who's trouble had nothing to do with the main plot lines that have run through the rest of the series. We still got glimpses of the other members of the club and their 'ol ladies while getting a new story line. Harper is a good girl from a good family who keeps her nose clean so she is shocked to learn she has a stalker!
After an odd 1 night stand where Whip cant remember much but knows hes now married to a mysterious woman who disappears in the morning he tries to forget it, Shock of it all to run into her 2 months later dropping his nephew off at school!
These 2 Have some ups and downs for sure. especially when whip realizes his connection to Harper, but he straightens up and shows her they are meant to be.
Some editing and grammar issues are present and some repetition within statements, also if you are following the series there is a name mistake when mentioning a past character, but overall its a relatively smooth read!

Harper was at the event with her friends but didn't really want to be...she is talking with them when Whip comes up and starts talking to her...they share a drink. When Harper wakes up the next morning and Whip is gone she hightails it out of the hotel room....but not before she realizes she has a ring on her finger. The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Devils Riot MC: Originals series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Harper went out, got drunk or drugged more like it and woke up in a hotel room not remembering anything with a wedding ring on. Whip remembers that not and the great time he had but he also had a wedding ring out thus starting the adventure of trying to find out who /where this amazing women could be. She actually finds him knowing she is married to him and he to her but she has another problem a stalker is after her will he protect her, will he step up to be a husband even though he has never wanted to be married and can they find happiness?
This is the 11th book in this amazing series and is Whip and Harper’s story. When these two meets they have a great time, but unknown to them Harper’s friends drug them by spiking their drinks, and when Harley wakes up the next morning, she looks at the man next to her and discovering they may be married, she runs. Whip is left to try and find Harper which is no easy feat. Harper is upset with her friends and ask her brothers to help her move out, and on her first day teaching in the small town she cross’ paths with Whip who is dropping off one of her students. Whip is determined that they need to talk and wants to convince her that he wants to stay married, but when he is in danger, he will do whatever he must to keep her protected and safe. This is a well written flawless story which is intense, and filled with passion, witty banter, loyalty, family, friendships, fun, humor, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I almost didn’t review. I hate leaving bad reviews but I have been with this author since the beginning of this series of 12 books! We are at 11, almost at the end and ‘flop’. I don’t know if the author got tired or if this was a mistake but without getting into spoilers there should have been a serious warning about sexual scenes where absolutely NO consent is given but then it’s as if it never happened which completely confused me. As well, this book is so full of mistakes that it was unreadable, at at the very least, unenjoyable. There were far, far too many times when the wrong word was thrown in, obviously auto correct issues which weren’t caught because it wasn’t proofread. Auto correct is not good enough as any author knows. The previous books had enough proofing errors to be mildly frustrating as it was, but this was beyond the pale and in my opinion, unacceptable and unprofessional period. I could hardly read it and have to believe those that gave 5 stars didn’t read it!
Whip (AKA Bryan) was at Charity event put on by Franklin Chapter of Devil's Riot M/C, seeing and meeting Harper...She was with her roommates, who brought her a drink...Whip drank it down after offering to buy her another...but next thing he remembered was waking up, going for coffee to bring back to room to find out what was going on with beautiful woman in bed with him.. He got back and she was gone...but both wearing wedding rings. Harper graduated from college and accepted job at small community school, moved and was teaching, with Venom's son being one of her students. Whip brought Linc to school, saw Harper and recognized her instantly, but she didn't seem to know him...wanting answers, called Nerd to find out more about his elusive "bride" and then Franklin Chapter to see what happened the night of the charity gig...but you will need to read this intriguing story to see what happens...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Whip's Breath by E.C. Land is a Devils Riot Original book 11. I have really gotten into reading this series. I enjoy the characters. They feel well developed, like I know them. Whip is an interesting character that I like however I don't really like the direction of this book. I am an E.C. Land fan but this story had me shaking my head.
Anyone that drugs me certainly is not friend and I am disappointed that the situation was taken advantage of. I closed the book after the last chapter and was wondering what was the point. Each book touches back on the facets of a character and we look at it from a different angle. With this story I was wondering what was the point. I didn't learn too much more about the characters. I hate to harp on and on. I will leave it saying the story feels under developed and would be greatly improved with an edit and additional story.
Whip is at the Franklin chapter pulling security during the annual concert. After the concert he meets Harper and they are instantly drawn to each ither. Turns out the drink Harler had was spiked with drugs by her so called friends. Both she and Whip drink from the drink and black out. The next morning they wake up and do not realize what happened the night before. Whip takes off to get coffee for them before Harper wakes up. Then they are going to talk to find out what happened and if they are truelt married. When he returns Harper is gone and he does not even remember her name. They meet up again a month later and delve into the details. Follow along as they grow to love each other and discover that she has a stalker. Will he be able to keep her safe? Will they be able to work out their love? Great characters and as always great storyline.

Triggers: forced drugging, kidnapping
Spoilers: Whip, joined the MC after a stint in the Army. Because of the way he grew up, he figured he would not have a family of his own. Meets a blonde one night but the next morning, wakes up next to her and see's a ring on his finger. He leaves to grab coffee and when he comes back, mystery woman is gone.
Harper, shy, schoolteacher. Goes out with her roommates and unbeknownst to her, they drug her so she will "have fun". She wakes up the next day in a hotel alone and quickly leaves.
This is a fast MC romance. A bit of conflict that is quickly resolved. I wish there had been more character development. Whip and Harper individually seemed okay. HEAfn
I am going to say something very controversial: not every book needs a kidnapping, near death or crazy stalker.
Specially a book like this one. There was plenty of content from the whole «got married and doesn’t remember it» and about the military background that would have been enough for this story, just expand a little more on it?!
Also they had no connection, were actual strangers, and as a reader I didn’t get to be there as they built their relationship, and just told to accept that they now randomly love each other?
Lastly, this reads more like smut than a full fledged novel. Nothing wrong with it being smut, but had I known that I would have read it with different expectations and not expected so much from the plotline outside of their *bedroom acrivities*.

I loved Harper and Whip’s story by EC Land. Imagine the horror when you wake up after a drunken night and realise that you are married to a complete stranger and don’t remember anything because both your drinks were spiked. Well that is what happened to our lead characters and ever though how they came to be a couple is totally insane, they have amazing chemistry and totally make it work. Whip is a super alpha male and when Harper has a stalker he does everything in his power to keep Harper safe and protect her any way he can. This is book eleven in the Devil’s Riot MC series and it was a great read that had all the drama and romance that I have come to love from EC Land. Highly recommend this series.
I received an arc copy via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I love this series and it gets better with each book they are short enough that you don't get bogged down but long enough that you don't feel cheated
Whip had a wonderful night with a stranger bur woke up the next morning with her gone but he can't forget her and is constantly taking about her to his brothers He wants to find her again but has no idea where to start Then he comes across her by accident and finds our one important thing they not only had a night of passion but they married one another. Whip is determined to keep Harper and make her is old lady but can he convince her that he means what he says, Harper may be shy and quite but she has a core of steel When a stalker goes after Whips all bets are off he will do whatever he needs to in an effort to keep her safe and make her his permanently
When Whip helps out at the Franklin charters event he never expects to find a woman like Harper, if only they could remember it. Harper discovers she was drugged by her so called friends and the next morning she wakes up sore and with a wedding ring! Not expecting to see the man from the party again she gets the surprise of her life when he drops Vemons son Linc off at her school. But theres more than just marriage linking the two, will they make a go of their marriage? Can Whip keep Harper safe when some one comes after her? Well written a great addition to the series. An engaging storyline and sizzling hot characters! With desires, second chances, twists and more!

Absolutely love Whip! Damn, that man is amazing and even though he messed up when they met back up, Whip set out to prove to Harper that he was serious about their marriage and wasted no time claiming her. For a guy that didn't want to ever be married he sure became an amazing husband/ol' man. While Harper was shy and a bit reserved she was not weak, even though that's how she sometimes viewed herself. She handled her first trip to the clubhouse by showing her strength and standing by her man. Whip never gave her a reason to doubt him and he constantly showed Harper he loves her. Now eagerly waiting for Viper's story.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a short and steamy addition to the Devils Riot MC Originals series. It is about a second chance for Whip and Harper. After a night of drinks and being drugged, these two wake up separately but married. Neither of them can stop thinking of the other though. They meet up again when he shows up with Lincoln at school. Harper has a closer connection to Whip than either realizes. They both make mistakes but the time for running is over. Whip knows that he has to show her how much he wants the relationship. If he can keep her safe, they have a chance at a happy future together.

Harper wakes up in a hotel room and doesn't remember the night before. Turns out her roommates drugged her so that she would have some "fun". We were introduced to Whip in Venom's story and it turns out that he was the one who disappeared from her hotel room. After running into each other again when Harper takes a new job, the hot, steamy, insta-love relationship begins. There is a ton of steam, as always, and some action. I will say that the stalker/kidnapping aspect of this story felt thrown together and not all together necessary for the book. That being said, I've enjoyed this series and look forward to the next brothers book.

I loved this book! It is one that grabbed my attention right away and never let me go till I had read the last word. I was on the edge of my seat while reading! I needed to know what was going to happen next with Whip and Harper’s story. It is one that has action, suspense, surprises, chemistry and some twists and turns I didn't see coming...lol. These two meet at Izzy’s charity and something big and shocking happens. From that point on both Whip and Harper have a lot to think about, decide on and is never ever now? Only way to find out the answer is to read this fantastic story. I am ready for the next book in this series! So good! It makes waiting hard and so worth it when you get your hands on it!!! Just sayin...
Whip is part of the Disciples MC wanting to live and party until!!!!! One night of partying he sees Harper and they talk. Waking up the next morning no one around to talk to and No memory of what happen. Harper leaves. She then starts her new life as a teacher. Trying to remember the night also trying to forget. Then Whip shows up at her school . They both need to talk now because they are married. Read their story about all the karma pushing them together because they belong together!!!!!!! Even when Harper has a stalker after her! Given the chance will they say they really do love each other in a every short time. A quick exciting read for everyone who loves happy endings.
I absolutely love when booksprout sends me a notice that EC Land has a new book. She guarantees a quick and thoroughly enjoyable read. Whip’s Breath definitely falls in that category. Love that Whip is getting his own story and can’t think of anyone more perfect for him than Harper. These two have a crazy start but soon realize they’re meant for each other. No EC Land book would be complete without some crazed psycho thrown in the mix…definitely ramps up the excitement factor. Great lead characters and of course old friends supporting…another amazing story! Keep ‘em coming Ms. Land!

First I will say that the blurb on here isn’t accurate to the story, however the story was great. Whip and Harper meet up after a concert and end up in a hotel room. Harper wakes up the next morning not knowing what happened other than she had sex and was married. Whip has it a little better since he remembers her face but not much else. He knows he married her but not who she is or where she went while he was gone from the hotel. Not sure why he didn’t try to find out who he married before he ran into her again some time later.
Now he has to convince her that he wants to keep her as well as keep her safe from a stalker. Quick and easy read.

This book is the 11th in the Wings of Diablo MC Originals series. The plot was very entertaining and enjoyable to read. Whip is the Chaplain for the club. He is at Twister's club helping at an event. Harper is an elementary teacher. She goes out with her roommates to the event and they drug her drink. Whip notices her from across the room and asks her to dance and unknowingly drinks the rest of her drink. Whip and Harper have amazing chemistry. Loads of suspense, drama and MC action to be had for all. To find out what all what happens you need to read this story.

Harper’s two roommates had drugged her drink one night while they were out because they wanted her to loosen up and have some fun. Not only did she leave them and moved to her new job location for her first teaching job but she also found out that she was married that night. She just didn’t have any idea who she married.
Whip is a part of the MC and he meets his friend’s son’s teacher and its non-other than his wife. Yep, you guessed it…Harper is Nicholas’s teacher and Whip’s wife. Only one little thing, Harper has no idea who she married.
I have to say that this book drew me in right away and had me turning page after page. There is suspense, surprises and steam.
Whip values his family, and his brother's in the MC. Most of the brothers in the MC served in the military. When Whip goes to a Rock concert, he never expects to meet the woman of his dreams. A few months pass and he comes face to face with Harper. Only Harper doesn't remember too much, except for waking up alone the next day. As these two get to know each other, Whip finds out that Harper has a stalker. He will do anything to protect her.
I recommend this book. Great characters, great MC, and a passionate couple.

Book 11 in the Devils Riot MC series. This couple meets at a bar and are drugged by her friends. They have a one-night stand after that but both no idea what happened. She is gone when he wakes up. Now he has seen something that causes him to go to his brothers for help. He needs to find her. Come to find out it is one of his military friend's sister that the MC was asked to look out for. Holy crap, now what. Things get complicated for a while in the story but these two have such chemistry for sure. What will happen when her brother finds out about these two? Are they going to have a HEA?

Another great book in the series. This is the story of Whip and Harper. He's at another chapter of the MC doing them a favor when him and Harper hook up. thinking it's a one night stand, he wakes up the next morning with a ring on his finger and heads back to his own chapter. Harper wakes up to the same thing and the marriage certificate to prove that she's married. He never thought he'd run into her again, but she's a teacher at Venom's son Linc's school. When someone is after her, he's all into protecting her and not letting her go a 2nd time. This is his/their chance at a HEA.
