After her divorce, Hermione decides to get out of town to recover from the pain of her lost relationship and the miscarriage she suffered a year previously. She arrives in the Cotswolds depressed and aimless but compiles a list of things to do that she hopes will help her get back on her feet. In the midst of her journey to find healing she keeps running into Draco Malfoy, who is nothing like she remembered him. He invites her into his world, and Hermione finds exactly what she was looking for - in the place she least expected it.

My Thoughts:
The List is an enjoyable, easy to read Dramione fanfic that's perfect if you're looking for something fluffy with a hint of drama and dash of spice.
I'm 100% certain the author was inspired by the film, The Holiday. After a bad breakup, Hermione (aka Amanda Woods played by Cameron Diaz) heads to the countryside to get away and falls quickly and madly in love with a local DILF. The little details of the story aren't exactly the same, and after the first few chapters there's some notable differences, but it's obvious that The Holiday was the blueprint.
Draco is a DILF. Didn't think I'd be into this but apparently I am. Dad Draco is HOT. I repeat. Dad Draco is HOT!!! 🔥 He's the best dad - caring, protective, loving, playful - and all these amazing characteristics transfer to his relationship with Hermione. I'd also like to add that this Draco has scruff, shaggy hair, tattoos on forearms, and wears plaid. Yes, please!
Hermione's & Draco's relationship with Scorpius. ❤️ This was the cutest part of the whole story. I love their little family unit and all of their adorable interactions together. My heart swelled with love whenever they would all snuggle or when Scorpius tells Hermione he loves her. 🥺
Characters were out of character (OOC) but still fun. This Draco was way more mature and not a pure-blood elitist, which is most likely attributed to him having a child and being in his 30s. It was actually a refreshing take on Draco. Hermione is a successful writer and recently divorced. Unfortunately, she suffers from PTSD from the war as well as from her emotionally traumatizing relationship with Ron. This Hermione seems weaker and in need of saving/healing through the love of someone else, which is fine, but I just don't think this is what canon Hermione would do. However, I really enjoyed seeing her healing journey after the miscarriage and divorce.
I wasn't a fan of the Hermione/Ron divorce drama. I won't say much because it'll spoil the story, but the author's portrayal of Ron is extremely OOC. I don't exactly like canon Ron, but this Ron is so far from his original character that it's ridiculous. In fact, he was acting so insane that it just made this part of the story unrealistic in regards to it being part of the HP universe. Also, why didn't Harry, Ginny, and the rest of the Weasley's step in or be more supportive go Hermione throughout her relationship with Ron and after the divorce? This aspect of the story is what really led to me giving it a lower rating.
Overall, The List is a sweet Dramione fanfic with a little angst and a happy ending. It's a great story to check out if you've just finished reading something with dark themes. I don't think this is a fanfic I'll re-read but I'm glad I checked it out.

I've been in the mood for some Single Dad Dramione fanfic. This was great. Angsty, fluffy, hilarious 💙 The trauma was heartbreaking but the drawings, lists, Draco and Scorpius were perfect 💫
4.5 ⭐️ One of the cutest fics I’ve read! If you like the movie The Holiday, this fic is a Dramione version but with enough differences. I didn’t want to put this down! Draco is a HOOOOT DILF and leads a life 180° life from his time at Hogwarts. Calloused hands, plaid, longer hair, tattoos, glasses…?!? Ahhh… Hermione is recovering from her divorce and runs into him while on holiday. So adorable, the romance plot is 👌🏼and the story involving Scorpio is pretty realistic when it comes to kids. I love the relationship Hermione builds with him! Muggle things were used a lot in the story but with an excellent reason. I need an epilogue or even better- a whole other installment it was that good! The only reason it’s not a 5 star is bc the Malfoys are pretty out of character, as well as Ron. Expect a baaaad, scummy Ron. Worth the read?: YES Reread?: YES

3 stars specifically for the grammatical errors and the modern slang (“ya” instead of “yes” and “mo” as a shortened version of “moment”) that felt so very OOC and far too juvenile for Draco and Hermione. The plot, while not unique in this genre, was enjoyable, and I loved the sweet moments between Draco and Hermione. Had this undergone additional editing, I could see this being a stellar fic! As it is, I can’t rate more than 3 stars.
The perfect remedy after a darker fic. It’s the most out of character fic I’ve read, but if you need something sweet, wholesome and healing without having to work for it - this is it. There’s funny moments, there’s some darker moments that deal with trauma, but overall it’s a massive love fest that’ll have you smiling.
This one was super sweet with that perfect amount of angst. Man oh man Hermione cried a lot. She had so much trauma to deal with and could appreciate how she dealt with it.
Notes: cottage core, DILF, cinnamon roll Draco, cute Scorp, Ron bashing. Supportive friends and family (comes late in fic as it’s just the 3 of them through most of this)
Hermione just wants a little refresh in her life. She needs some time away after her divorce. She visits Cotswolds for a change in scenery. She would have never guessed that she would run into Draco Malfoy her first day there.
We don’t rate fanfictions in this house because that is hella disrespectful to these authors that write for free in their free time. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
2.5 stars. It was okay! Not anything great! But cute. I'm all for a fluffy seasonal love story. But the characters were far too different from who they're supposed to be. I didn't love that. And you know how I feel about insta-love.
3.75 Stars. 3 Spice Fall vibes/the holiday vibes Draco is a dad. Divorced from Astoria Hermiones husband (Ron) cheated, she had a miscarriage The story jumped right into Draco telling hermione he wants her, no tension building, no pining Felt rushed.

It was cute, but it that was a form of insta love and super traumatic stuff that I couldn't really enjoy The Ron plot was imo really over the top and way OOC. Normally I can handle OOCness but in this case it didn't really felt quite right.
If you like super fluff you'll be happy with this one
“You know we would never be pinned to your murder - it’s not like anyone would ever find a body,” Draco laughed
Up until its established that Draco is a multiple murderer, it such a f'n Hallmark Movie. It got divorced DILF Draco living in Muggle England with Scorp. Book Author Hermione on a post divorce vacation that has them meeting up and instant chemistry. And plenty of Ron Slander. TW: prior marital rape, emotional abuse and miscarriage. The smut is fantastic as well. Plus Draci has tattoos. Honestly someone needs to illustrate this one.
