Marvel East is flighty.

Quick and sweet

Oh the sorrows of misunderstandings. Marvel and Milo have a huge one. This sends Marvel on a vacation to get away. Milo chases her to set things right. Super short and sweet. HEA.

This one was pretty short I do wish it was a little longer. But it had sorta semi ex's and little steam.

Marvel is confused why her unicorn boyfriend broke up with her out of the blue so she does what any girl does. Gets drunk and books a trip. But little did she know Milo (the ex and our H) books a flight to win her back because he's a dumbo who misunderstood something thinking Marvel the girl he's know since they were 12 cheated on him. Which she didn't... I wish he would have groveld more.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, tiny drama,, sexy times, no virgins

Milo (the unicorn boyfriend) breaks up with Marvel out of the blue one day and doesn’t explain why. They have been with each other since they were 12 and now she’s heartbroken. So what does she do? Gets drunk and books a flight to Iceland to find a real unicorn. Milo quickly realizes his mistake and goes to win her back only to find out she’s booked a flight. So he gets on that same flight to explain to her what happened and get his forever back.
I wanted Milo to be more alpha instead of breaking up over something you “saw”. Then I wanted him to grovel more.
Overall it was a good book. Not my favorite Shaw Hart book (and I do love her books).

I absolutely adored this “second chance” story. The depth of their love was never in question, even though there was plenty to sort out. It’s nice especially awesome to have a bit of angst tucked into a fluffy feel good story.

Milo needed to grovel a lot more than he had to.

Ftr there was no cheating (there's a stupid misunderstanding that any other couple in a healthy, long-term relationship should be able to talk about), Milo & Marvel were each other's first & only everything.

What a sweet little semi-second chance story. Only semi-second chance as they broke up the day before Milo realizes the HUGE mistake and misunderstanding in breaking up with Marvel and surprises her on the plane to Iceland.

I normally don't like to read romance where the h gets back together with the H after he breaks her heart but man oh man Shaw Hart really knows how to not only write grovel but a H's POV that expresses TRUE REMORSE and genuine reflection of why they did what they did.

You know those stories where the Author clearly writes a doormat h that is easily manipulated or coerced into forgiving the H after heartbreak? Yeah none of that here. Only a emotionally mature H that learns from his mistakes and expresses his regret genuinely and grovels (pride be damned) for his one and only h.

Love that he genuinely felt panic and remorse on how his rash thinking and action could cost him his love of his life. I also absolutely love how strong Marvel was in knowing her worth and taking the time to at least try not to let her heartbreak ruin how much she wanted to see Iceland and find her unicorn. Little did she know she already found him, he was just heartbroken and acting like a young 22 year old dude who thought he saw something terrible.
He explains to her what he saw and how that made him feel.
Marvel listens to his explanation then asks for a little time and after refection she does agree if she saw the same thing that Milo saw she would have been so devastated and heartbroken she would have just fled and felt the same way he did.

Hart did a wonderful job in creating such a beautiful bond with these two and actually having the H not only learn from his mistakes and express genuine remorse but he also understood how his actions hurt the h. Too often we see authors write Heros that invalidate the h's feelings and move on from hurt they cause usually with kisses, sex, or other manipulation as quickly as possible.

I really like that Hart didn't write her h as a doormat or just accepting the H back just because she doesn't want to be alone or that classic 'he's all that she's ever know so she just takes him back'.

This was such a lovely short read. :D

Marvel and Milo high school sweethearts.. Marvel is a free spirit and can't make up her mind... Milo on the other hand, he like to have everything planed out and knows exactly what he wants... Marvel thought she and Milo would get married one but out of the blue he broke up with her... That night Marvel dreams of Unicorns... She didn't really know what it meant, but she took as that she was supposed to go find her a Unicorn.. But she thought that Milo was her Unicorn... Milo had seen Marvel with some guy, he thought that she was be hanging out with her friends... But when he was at the mall buying her an engagement ring he saw her with a different guy... Once he saw her with that different guy he came home and broke up with her... Marvel was heart broken, that night of the brake up she books herself a vacation to Iceland... Marvel was trying to surprise Milo by becoming a teacher's aid and the guy that she was with was helping her pass the test so that she become a teacher's aid.. When Milo sees the guy again he asked him confront him but the guy tells Milo that he was help her pass a test so that she could become a teacher's aid... Milo wanted to apologize to Marvel and beg for forgiveness and he wants her to take him back... Milo finds out that Marvel had planed a trip to Iceland because her email was still set up on his phone... So, once Milo find out the truth about why she was acting so strange lately he booked the same fight and hotel as Marvel to try to win her back... Marvel tried to cancel her ticket but it was nonrefundable... When she got one the plane she left Milo's presents and started looking around for him, she finally spots and was hopping that they weren't in the same row no such luck they where in the same row.. ...

I love all the different twists that Shaw Hart uses when writing this Folklore series! Things are never straightforward, and each story is lovely and unique. Well written, well thought out, passionate and fun, you CANNOT go wrong reading these books!
Marvel is mercurial and whimsical, Milo is steady and dependable. They've been together since high school, but when Milo sees something his misinterprets, things blow up. Milo and Marvel part ways. Marvel decides that Milo was a frog so she's going to Iceland to find her unicorn. Even she admits it doesn't make much sense, LOL! But meanwhile, Milo comes to his sense and decides to chase after his unicorn, Marvel. In Iceland, these two finally talk openly and honestly, reconnecting and recommitting to their future.
I love that while the title is Chasing Her Unicorn, in actuality, both Milo and Marvel are chasing each other. I love that these two balance each other, need each other, and are willing to work out their issues. A good life lesson set amid a fun and whimsical setting. Sweet and sexy, I really loved this story!

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Chasing her unicorn is book five in the ‘’Folklore’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Milo makes the biggest mistake of his life he ends up chasing his woman. After a misunderstanding Milo breaks his girls heart. When she makes a rash vacation booking, he follows in order to win his girl back.
The chemistry between Milo and Marvel is clear to see and I loved them together. They made a cute couple.
I love the heroines name in this story.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Loved it!
This short and safe instalove story took a different path and I can only congratulate Shaw Hart for it.
The book starts with the heroine and the hero already in a relationship and sure that the other is “their one”. However, the Hero suddenly breaks up with the heroine, leaving her in need of something to do to get over her broken heart. I really liked this twist.
She decides to take a trip to Iceland and, surprisingly, the hero is on the same flight as her.
The whole story is short and great if you want something light to read.

No cheating whatsoever.
The reason of the hero breaking up with the heroine is very stupid, but I was fine with it as it went well with the lightness of the book.
It is not very steamy, as there is only one sex scene (as long as I remember).

What does a girl do when the love of her life breaks up with her out of the blue? Why, she books a trip to Iceland to look for a unicorn, of course. Marvel marches to the beat of her own drum, in fact she marches to a whole band. So, knowing he hates the cold and she needs an adventure, she plans a trip to Iceland. Only, who should be on the flight in the seat right next to hers but the man who broke her heart and shattered her dreams. What is he doing there? Should she even listen to what he has to say? I love this story, it's realistic but yet still fun drama. Milo screwed up big time, he knew it almost immediately and sets out to fix it. Gah, how romantic is that? Loved it, can't wait for more from the amazing Shaw Hart!

Marvel and Milo had been together for years, high school sweethearts. Until one day when a misunderstanding gets between them. Trying to pick herself up and try to move on from her heartbreak, Marvel decides to go looking for a better boyfriend, a unicorn. Where she chooses, is somewhere she'd never think Milo would go. But Milo realized he made a mistake and chased Marvel across the world, to the colds of Iceland, just to be with Marvel. Will the two be able to fix what was broken? No spoilers here, you gotta read it for yourself. Chasing her Unicorn is another amazing book in the Folklore series. It's a quick, fun read. It's an adorable story of a boy loves girl, does something stupid and bends over backwards to get her back. Who doesn't love a story like this?

Super sweet

This was a very fast, fun and cute read about a young couple who have been together since HS rediscovering their love after a misunderstanding.

When milo thinks his girl has cheated on him, he breaks up with her. Only to realize his mistake and chase after her..all the way across the world.

This is a novella that took me 30 mins to read so not a lot of character development, but it was still an enjoyable read. I would’ve preferred more dialogue between two to set up the angst and hurt between them, but it was still ok. I loved how both MCs were each other’s first and only’s and the HEA with epilogue is 10 years out and lovely. No ow/om, no cheating, no abuse.

She is outgoing, feisty and flighty, she’s organized chaos - the polar opposite to Milo’s straight laced, by the books personality. Together they work, that is until a misunderstanding tears them apart. Marvel takes off to Iceland to escape heartbreak and Milo follows her because no sooner did he end things, did he realize, he made the biggest mistake of his life. From misunderstanding to engagement all under the effects of the northern lights, true love finds its way and they get their happily ever after. TBR and enjoy.

Loved it! Beautiful Iceland setting.

- Ow/om drama: 2 guys hit on the fmc but she's not interested in them. The second time, the mmc tells off the guy showing his possessive jealous side.
-Breakup reason: The mmc thought the fmc was cheating on him because she said she'd hang with her girlfriends and then he catches her meets a guy. Turns out it was a misunderstanding and she was just trying to surprise him with her new job.
-Epilogue(Ten years later): Married, Twin boys, one younger daughter.

So to get over the heartbreak, Marvel decides to take a vacation and look for a new perfect boyfriend aka her unicorn. She chooses that last place Milo would go, Iceland since he hates the cold. Well to her surprise, who is sitting next to her on the plane? It’s none other than the man who dumped her Milo. Let the fun start. I enjoyed this fun, sweet, entertaining romance. Super cute story about Marvel and Milo, who Marvel believes is her soulmate, her unicorn. Due to a misunderstanding Milo breaks up with Marvel and regrets it a few days later. Meanwhile, Marvel hurting decides to go away, Milo sees her plans in an email and joins her for the trip. Misunderstanding is cleared up and the two are back together again. Why not 5 stars? I know Marvel was hurting but she thinks about having a vacation fling and even looks for a unicorn while out. (No cheating happens)

This one absolutely wasn't my favorite of the collection.
Marvel is known as the kind of girl who can never make up her mind. She changes her hair color and job every month. Milo knew this about Marvel, but he still loves her.
After YEARS together, yes years, Milo thinks Marvel is cheating on him and breaks up with her. When he realizes his mistake he travels to Iceland, chasing after Marvel to grovel. Not quite sure how the whole unicorn aspect was suppose fit into this and I think that's what annoyed me about it.

Milo brought me to tears on how apologetic he felt towards Marvel. I felt Marvel’s pain because she just wanted to know why Milo broke up with her. They were so cute together! I loved how it all came together in the end , I was crying happy tears by the end ♥️ I just wished it was a bit longer and had another epilogue.

This book is different from the others, more emotional and sweet and I enjoyed it a lot.
Marvel's heartbroken when the love of her life breaks up with her, so she decides to book a flight to Iceland and search for her unicorn. Just to find that her ex occupies the seat next to her on the plane. Milo's insecurities made him make a mistake but he's set on fixing it.

This was a super cute read. This is a second chance book when the two MCs just broke up. Marvel and Milo are super cute together. Being apart is a nightmare for both Marvel and Milo but little does Marvel know, Milo will do anything to get Marvel back and including going to someplace he hates to win her back. I would recommend this book since its a quick, cute read that will leaving you smiling!

Not sure how I feel about this one. Milo mistook something he saw and broke Marvels heart. She tried to take a trip to forget him and find her new one. Milo follows her after realizing his mistake. Trying to win her back, he pushes and tries to explain. Marvel is a better person than me, she forgives him and they have a couple of wonderful HEA epilogues.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. MIlo broke Marvel''s heart even though he loved her, and he knew she was it for him. Instead of talking to her about something he saw, he decided to leave her, then decided to get her back by going on the same vacation as her. He still takes his sweet time to talk to her about something he saw. I mean, he doubted her feeling for him, and instead of talking, he left her and broke her heart. While this book had good scenes, I feel like I needed more.

Chasing Her Unicorn is a slight departure from the majority of Shaw Hart's writing. The main couple, Marvel and Milo, are already in a relationship when the book begins. They are going through a rough patch however, and Milo is trying to fix it. It was a great way to close out her Folklore series. Very sweet, safe, and steamy! The couple are each other's one and only, no ow/om drama, and a HEA with a 10 year epilogue!

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable once you find out Milo's reasons. The characters were interesting and likable. Marvel and Milo have been together a long time. Out of nowhere, Milo breaks up with Marvel. Marvel decides to take a trip (with the help of some alcohol) to try to get over her heartbreak. Milo ends up on the same trip with Marvel. Milo and Marvel have a bit of an adventure. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

He made a stupid mistake and lost the love of his life and now he has to chase her while she is determined to chase a unicorn (perfect mate).
He hates the cold but still follows her to Iceland in November. That is love.
