He’s seen up close and personal how love can ruin your life and he’s vowed to stay far away from that emotion. Armed with a set of rules to keep him safe, he’s been going through life just fine. Then Indie Hearst comes bouncing into Eye Candy Ink and turns his whole world upside down.

Suddenly, he’s breaking every one of his rules, but it’s okay. He’s not even close to falling for Indie.

AHHHHHHHHHHH we finally have indie and Mischa book we got a tiny taste of these two in the last Ink book and some already drama near the end. This was a good read, some steamy and low drama. Also we get few chapters what Indie and Mischa were doing during Atlas..

Mischa has rules since he was younger set in place so he would never get his heart broken from anyone. But little did he know he was breaking these rules for Indie when he first met her. And boy he enjoyed breaking them all. Their relationship was cute and fun and very sexual tension. They even started a friends with benefits type of deal. But Indie.. bless her heart told Mischa the truth she wanted more from him she wanted a real relationship. Lots of heart break from both sides. Even the crew at the ink showed Mischa they love him they are a family. Now he needs to man up and go get his girl.

I was glad Indie stuck to her guns and wanted more she did let him grovel alittle for pushing her away. And i enjoyed she didnt back down from her answer before.

And let me tell you.. mischa does alot of push away. So be prepared for that. But he was always faithful to his girl.

Looks like Sam amd Maxwell are the next couple?? From their little spark at the club. I cant wait for Zeke and Nico story to!!

Low angst, no ow/om drama, No cheating, Slight drama, sexy times, Virgin gal & no manwhore (he had past and she mentioned dating in their povs)

So I picked up Atlas on a whim and loved it, so naturally when I saw that Mischa was released on KU I immediately one clicked it. For reasonably short novels these books have given me some great characters.

Mischa was so broken when it came to relationships. He was like a kicked puppy, that I just wanted to realise that he was safe. And watching him try to live within the rules that he had created to keep himself safe made my heart hurt.

Indie was so patient with him and his ghosts. But I loved her even more for knowing what she wanted and fighting for it. This being set in the same time as Altas and Darcy just made it all the sweeter and that epilogue was just the rolled ice cream for lunch.

I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of the crew fall.

Holy pushing away, Batman. Mischa spends most of this book convincing himself he doesn't have real feelings for Indie. She spends most of this book chasing after him, pining for him and trying to convince him to love her. Deeeeesperate. Indie deserved better because she was actually pretty cool.

Safe, I knew going into this that I wasn't going to love it but I wanted to read our because I liked the first one and wanted th keep up with the series. I knew I wasn't going to like it because I don't like hero's who don't think that they are good enough. My thing. Nothing wrong with the story if that doesn't bother you. Don't care for voyeurism either.

I've read books by this author before and I absolutely love reading her work. This book series is absolutely fantastic, this book is a must read. This is book #2 in the Eye Candy Ink Series.

Book #1 Atlas
Book #2 Mischa.

Indie is a very sexy, independent woman who knows exactly where she's going and what she wants in life, she works with computers. She is Darcy's best friend and their friendship is so cool to watch and I wish I had a BFF like her. Indie is sometimes very goofy and this is what makes her different from other women she doesn't take herself to seriously.

Mischa is a very cool laid back kind of man that has had things quite tough where his heart is concerned, he's so vulnerable yet so strong at the same time. Mischa has put walls up around his heart and he has rules that he follows to protect himself. He is broken inside but can Indie help him heal?

I absolutely loved these characters in this book and my heart breaks do much for him and just when you think Indie has gotten through. This author writes fantastically and I love her characters they are so relatable and the reader can really connect with them.
He finds it very difficult to trust and Indie speaks to his heart and he can't believe it as he's a commitment phobe. I was really rooting for these two characters as I thought they were great together to.
I loved seeing past characters to and what there up to and the epilogue is so beautiful, it's awesome.

I absolutely can't wait to dive straight into Sam's story and I highly recommend that everyone reads these two books first.

This book is out now.

4-4.5⭐️

sigh, this series don't work for me.
I think i might have a problem with the writing style :(
I don't like the dialogues, all of them are kind of forced and don't flow well.
Other than that i'm not able and i don't feel any connection or anything for them,
this sucks cuz i wished i liked it,i like the idea of this story but it's not developed enough for my liking. It's poorly delivered unfortunately.

If the Ferris wheel’s a rocking keep on walking! I’m not a huge fan of the ride, but I’d go for a spin with sexy, heights fearing Mischa any time! In Book 2 of Shaw Hart’s Eye Candy Ink Series we watch as commitment phobic Mischa falls unknowingly head over heels in love with carefree, sassy pants Indie. Beautifully damaged man that he is doesn’t even realize that the pain in his chest and his self imposed rule breaking tendencies are all brought on by his growing feelings for his friends with benefits partner Indie. For her part Indie is fully aware of her growing feelings for the sexy as sin, closed off tattoo artist. She’s all in but when she realizes she deserves more she takes a step back. Forced to confront his fears, Mischa takes a chance on love and let’s himself fall for his sexy pixie. A fantastic happily ever after read. TBR and enjoy. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)

Sooo. I didn’t necessarily loved this one. I think it was… it was good, but then Mischa and his “feelings” that “didn’t exist” just throw me of my page. This guy will definitely keep you on your toes because he doesn’t figure out his shit till almost the end of the book. His all rule breaking was so fun to see. Honestly. He had this list for girls and what he shouldn’t do with her and he broke at least 5 so fast that u couldn’t even blink and then he says that he’s not in love with our heroine? Well. No.
Indie is a cutie, I loved how thoughtful she was and that she was taking things step by step. Also she had the courage to admit that she has feelings for Mischa. I really admire her for that.

Mischa doesn't believe in love, but there is just something about Indy. The moment Indy went into Eye Candy Ink, there was something about Mischa she's drawn to but she knows he's got a wall up. She's happy, outgoing, and opposite of Mischa but they click.

I love these two when they're together. Mischa was driving me nuts a bit but, its all worth it to get to the happily ever after. These two are on fire!!! I am really looking forward to Sam's book!!! The snippet of her love interest gets me all giddy!!!!

I loved Atlas so much that I was so excited to read Mischa’s story. I didn’t like this one as much because of the back and forth of Mischa and India. Not to mention there was a lot of retelling of book 1 in my opinion. Broken down characters are a favorite of mine and to watch their growth and finding something they thought they would have is wonderful. I do like this series overall and am looking forward to Sam’s story.

WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.

Mischa meets Indie when she comes into the tattoo parlor he works at to get a tattoo, she's had the appointment for months. When Darcy comes in for her tattoo, Indie comes with and to give them privacy Indie asks him to grab a pretzel with her. As they walk around Indie has him about his past he doesn't want to say much so he asks her about hers. The next day Indie goes in to Eye Candy Ink and helps with computer problems. Zeke tries to get Mischa to take Indie out for something to eat but Mischa tells him he just going to work on a design. Zeke tells him he's an idiot for not taking Indie out for something to eat. Mischa tells him he has some rules, he doesn't do relationship and Indie is a relationship type. Mischa takes off early to head to talk to Darcy, since they are broken up, he feels he needs to let her know Atlas isn't the cheating type. When Indie gets home Darcy wants to go out, so they head to the bar. Indie makes sure that Darcy sees Atlas shrugging off other girls advances, then they head over to their table. After Atlas and Darcy leave Mischa and Indie talk, he tells her he's not a relationship kind of guy, he doesn't date. Indie suggest that they just have sex then, so they head back to her apartment. When they get inside Mischa grabs Indie and presses her against the wall. When Mischa thrust into Indie he stills for a moment, it's then he realizes she's a virgin. When he questions her she tells him she's not anymore because he just took it. Then Indie leads him to her bedroom when they hear Atlas and Indie coming. Mischa wakes the next morning and can't figure out what he did. It's another one of his rules, never to stay the night. He heads out and grabs her a muffin and coffee. Mischa tells her that maybe they can do this again. Over the next couple of day they text each other back and forth. Then decide since Darcy is staying at Atlas's, Indie invites Mischa over. When he picks her up and carries her back to his room, he tells her to undress. She tells him it's his turn but he tells her he doesn't like to take off his shirt. Mischa starts to open up to Indie about his past and why he has all his rules. After Indie pleasures him he tells her to ride him. After Indie asks him to stay and he tells her he can't he needs to leave. A few days later they text each other everyday. At work when he has clients he can only think about Indie. When Indie messages him to come over he responds he'll be there. Darcy comes to tell Indie that Atlas when her to move in with him. When Indie realizes she is falling in love with Mischa, she tells him she wants a relationship with him. Indie tells him she wants more with him, he tells her he can't do this with her. He doesn't want a relationship, he can't do more. Indie tells him she can't do this anymore he needs to leave. When they all help Darcy move in with Atlas and all Mischa can do is watch Indie, but she avoids him. Two weeks later, Darcy comes by to have a girls night, he lets Indie know Mischa has been asking about her. Zeke comes in to talk to Mischa but is called away. Nico shows up next, he tells him he's being an idiot, he was happy with Indie. Then Atlas comes in, and Nico leaves. Atlas tells Mischa he's messing his relationship up, Darcy has been staying with Indie since they broke up. Then Sam walk in and tells them it's her turn, Mischa tells her he's heard it all already. Sam tells him no he hasn't and tells him she loves him. Then Atlas tells him he loves him, then Nico tells him he loves him, then Zeke tells him he loves him also. Then they all hug Mischa, after they break apart Zeke tells Mischa he doesn't have to be afraid of love, they'll be there to help him pick up the pieces. Later that night Mischa gets a little tipsy and heads over to Indie's apartment. He lets it slip that he misses her, and messed up. Mischa asks Indie why he fell in love with him. Indie tells him they can't choose who they fall in love with. When Indie tells him she needs to get to bed, Mischa goes to her bed and falls asleep in her bed. Indie has no choice but to get in next to him. The next morning Indie wakes to a note left by Mischa with just I'm sorry on it. Sam takes Mischa out to a new bar. Indie heads out with Darcy and Atlas to the carnival but it feels awkward being the third wheel. When Indie asks what ride they want to go on next, Darcy spots Mischa coming towards them. Mischa tells Indie they need to talk, Indie tells him she doesn't want to talk. When she turns and walks away he follows her, Indie gets on the Ferris wheel and Mischa climbs in behind her. Indie finds out Mischa doesn't like heights, when the Ferris wheel stops at the top and they need to fix something. Indie slowly goes to his side of the cart and slides into his lap, she stares at him and tells him she's got him. Mischa confesses he's fallen for her too, he doesn't know when it happened. Mischa tells Indie he loves her. As slowly as they can they make love on the cart of the Ferris wheel. After Darcy and Atlas move into their own apartment, Indie makes the suggestion that she move in with Mischa. It takes him a moment but they he realizes they are practically living together, he agrees. Two years later, Indie comes home from work and wants to go see Darcy. Mischa shows Indie his rules he wrote when he was a kid. He tells her when he broke all they rules, she asks why he's showing her this, he tells her there's one last rule to flip it over. When she does he goes down on one knee and asks her to marry him, she says yes. His one last rule, meet Indie and forget all his rules. Three years later, they head out to grab some ice cream. Indie is pregnant they are expecting a son, Rooney. When they get inside and Mischa goes for her ice cream, she calls after him telling him her water broke. They rush to the hospital Mischa tells Indie he loves her and she tells him she loves him too. Mischa tells Indie yeah let's do this thang.

A good continuation of the series! I liked it a bit less than the first one, because I prefer my men to be alpha and the agressor in the relationship. Instead in this story Mischa is a commitment phobe and he almost needs to be convinced that he loved Indie and wants a relationship with her..not really swoon worthy to me. I do love Indie though, she is wonderfully quirky and smart. I also really liked seeing the rest of the ECI employees again. The smut was once again scorching *fans herself*. Looking forward to reading Sam’s story next! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

It honestly started out rough for me because I didn't quite connect with the H. I almost wanted to roll my eyes at him. However, as the story went on I was able to connect as the couple did. I loved them together! There was some really touching moments with the Eye Candy Ink family I won't soon forget. I loved the H's emotional journey and the end was sweet.

After book 2 of Eye Candy Ink (First Gen), I'm now more positive then ever that this is Shaw Hart's magnum opus. These books are going to be up there with my favourite series of all time. It feels like I'm re-reading the Reed Brother's series again for the first time. You've got family (found or biological), tattoos, and some of the sweetest love declarations I've ever read.

I love how each character in this book not only has there own characteristics, way-of-thinking, and thoughts towards love, but each relationship is so unique in it's journey towards love and it's dynamics throughout the courtship.

Mischa is an archetypal commitment-phobe, but Hart really took the time to flush out not only why those feelings are there (with backstory and exposition) but there were tons of scenes of Mischa battling with this as his feelings towards Indie grew. I normally find characters like this to be disingenuous and not fun to read, but Mischa's battles with himself were incredibly understandable and sympathy-inducing. He was never intentionally mean to Indie to distance her (a classic move of the trope), he was a better person then that. He was too kind and too far gone when it came to Indie to ever pull shit like that.

Indie as well was really the 'day' to Darcy's 'night'. She was so effervescent and quick-witted; she was the perfect match for Mischa's jokester, dark-horse energy. The fact she loved him with all his "sharp edges"was just the best way to tell someone like him that. She didn't overly flatter him or love-bomb him, she knew from the beginning this love was going to be the kind that needed to be gently cared for to bloom.

Their journey, all the way through to their HEA, was fucking awesome. And that final list of rules at the end will forever be remembered. This is a fucking re-read for sureeeeee.

I don't think 2 people could've been better paired together than Mischa and Indie.
For years Mischa has lived by 10 rules. Rules that will keep him safe and never falling in love. After all he's seen first hand what loving someone so much can do to a person when that love either isn't returned or gone. He's Eye Candy Ink's resident ladies man and he believes it's a happy life. That is until Indie walks in and all his rules are slowly being broken and Mischa finds himself in a place where he never thought nor wanted to be.
Indie is a funny and quirky kind of woman. She makes no apologies for how she lives her life. After finally getting in for an appointment at Eye Candy Ink she finds herself drawn to the jokester of the bunch. However, he doesn't do relationships and Indie has marriage and white picket fence written all over her. But to keep Mischa in her life and maybe slowly chip away at the jokester personal Mischa gives off, Indie will play the friends with benefits game.

Is Mischa finally ready to give up his playboy lifestyle? Is he ready to put himself out there and hope Indie means what she says when she told him she'd never leave him?

This is the second book I've read in this series by Author Shaw Hart and I absolutely love it. Mischa a tattoo artist at Eye Candy Ink by day , all round commitment phobe by night. I loved his character he was flawed in so many ways due to his childhood yet he formed bonds with the people at Eye Candy Ink ,family bonds he didn't even realise he had done over the years he worked there and Atlas being his best friend he believed he didn't need anyone else. He had a list of rules he followed with an iron fist , safe rules , rules that would not see him get hurt . But that all went out the window when he met Indie .
I adored Indies character she was so funny and confident self assured independent and a workaholic all tied up in a tiny little package she was just herself and Mischa didn't know what hit him.
I loved their story and I loved how Atlas and Darcy were also prominent in the book yet didn't take away from the story that was Mischa and Indie. I can't wait to read Sam's book something tells me she is a fiesty one . I will definitely be collecting these in paperback.

I really liked this book, I liked that it went back to the beginning for Mischa and Indie and that their relationship was still a love story but it didn't look exactly like Atlas and Darcy's. I was hesitant at first because I am so sick of the promisuous hero trope (it seriously feels like it's almost impossible to avoid it especially if it isn't a super short novella) but he seemed to be maybe more of a reformed manwhore kind of hero and it didn't really go into his past except to talk about stuff he's never done before and most of it was intimacy related. Plus there weren't any scenes with ow or mental flashbacks to past hookups or anything like there tends to be with that trope so bonus points! I also liked how the hero actually got the help he needed instead of just continuing to ignore his problems. So far, this is shaping up to be a really good series.

Never let a man tell you more than once that he doesn’t want you.

We get it!!! Mischa’s had trauma and emotional abuse as a child but HOW WAS THAT INDIE’S RESPONSIBILITY??

So sick of the old “I’m a damaged man so I’m going treat every woman like trash even it it’s my parents that fucked me up” GO👏🏽 TO 👏🏽THERAPY 👏🏽DUDE👏🏽.

Indie was so cool and it sucked to see her reduced to such a flimsy doormat heroine. 🫤 She literally just takes any crumb that Mischa gives her and boy does he heap on the verbal jabs and cruelty.

Fuck dude, how much emotional punching can one girl take before she’s had enough?

- Virgin h/ Manwhore H
-Not really OW drama but two of the girls H is tattooing proposition him to a threesome and he considers it before h texts him to come over 👎🏽
-Exhibitionism/ Public Sex

Let's meet Mischa. Here you have a man who has a plan to keep everyone at arms length literally. With a solid list of ten rules to follow to keep him out of love and relationships. Now here comes Indie. Vibrant, kind and a steamroller of energy. Mischa tattoo's Indie and she starts to runs over and flattens this 10 rules list Mischa has. One thing to another starts the ball rolling to more. I will say I do like how our author has touched on Mischa's background and his issues without getting in to deep or heavy. I won't ruin the rest for you. This is Book 2 in the Eye Candy Ink world. I do suggest that you read one as there are cross over characters through out this whole series that round out these books. Enjoy, I know I did.
