Sam Kavan has grown up learning to be tough, at least on the outside. Raised by her dad and two brothers, she’s always seemed to fit in more as one of the guys. Maybe that’s why she's seen as either one of the boys or as a little sister. When she moves to Pittsburgh and starts at Eye Candy Ink, she fits in perfectly, and soon she’s found another family in the men who work at the shop with her.

Like everyone else at Eye Candy Ink, she’s not interested in falling in love. In fact, after a string of failed dates, she's grown disillusioned with dating. She doesn't want to go out with boys who send her dick pics or who text at midnight looking to hook up. She wants someone that she can rely on—someone who loves and wants her for her.

She wants a real man.

Then she meets Maxwell Schulz, and she wonders if she’s finally met her match.

We are back with book 3 in this series and we have Sam turn. This was pretty fun and little steam.

We get little prequel to Sam was doing (in Mischa book) first 2 chapters and our guy Maxwell and how he was already spung for our girl. And his reaction to when she lied to him at the club. That doesnt stop Max knowing Sam has her heart guarded and boyyyy the sexual tension is hawtt!! Since Max did kinda yelling at Sam when he was at work.. (girl dont go into kitchen health risk) but he does apologize and it was right away didnt wait weeks. GOO MAX!! I also enjoy how he apologized to sam and let her pierce him.. and what a place to get it 🤣🤣🤣.

But hold on.. Max wasnt the one who annoyed me.. nope. that was all Sam.. i enjoyed her in book 1 and 2 but some of the things she did to Max was just plain rude and childish.

I really cant wait for Zeke and Nico stories!! I think Zeke is next..

No ow/om drama, no cheating, Slight secondary chara, sexy times, no virgins and no manwhore

“Sam” Book 3 of Shaw Hart’s Eye Candy Ink Series is a delicious slow burn romance. In it we get to know spunky Samantha and what makes her tick. She’s a tough nut to crack and after swearing off boys she meets a man. The man. Max. Max is older, wiser, mature - he’s hot and ready for love and Samantha does it for him. He’s wildly attracted to her and will not take no for an answer. I’m Team Max all the way. He’s perfect for Sam and he goes after her with a single minded intensity that works for me. Watching Sam and Max fall in love and get their happily ever after makes this novella length read a must. Add it to your TBR list and enjoy. If you haven’t read Book 1 and 2, Atlas and Mischa, add those as well.

Ok, so this is really hard for me to do.

I love Shaw Hart and I really like the other books in this series, but not this one so much. Sam just came off as too b*tchy for me. Come on, someone thinks enough of you to send flowers and you destroy them and send them back? Then he sends food and you send pictures eating something else? That's not testing someone that's just being an ill mannered jerk. Being a strong woman is one thing, total rudeness to a nice guy is another. I really liked Sam in the other books but in this one not so much at all. If a guy had treated me the way she treated Max I would never have spoken to him again, especially after the nightclub incident. I love Shaw Hart's books but this one is a no for me.

I liked this book but not as much as I thought I would. I really liked Max. He was a great guy and was all in with Sam. I wasn’t too keen on Sam. She played to many games. She played with Max’s emotions too much and that wasn’t cool. I liked her more once they were together. They made a good couple. I liked visiting with all the other characters. Can’t wait for Zeke and Nico’s books.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. No ow/om drama even though there is a scene where h tries to make H jealous with Misha from the previous book. Nothing going on between the two, she was testing the H. Both celibate for a while, both not virgins. No abuse.

Safe, 9 1\2 times out of 10 something about the H will ruin my enjoyment of a book. Not this time, it was all Sam.
Their first time together he ties her hands and feet also blindfold her. Not my thing

Sam kept saying how she didn't want to date immature "boys" anymore but she came across just as immature! These so called "tests" she put the H through were ridiculous and felt more like she was playing games. She didn't come off as a strong independent woman. She came off as childish, manipulative and unlikeable. Why the H was so devoted to her I don't know. They had no basis for a relationship. I just didn't feel the connection.

I've read this book is one sitting as it was awesome. This book is book #3 in the Eye Candy Ink Series and this is Sam's story. I been dying to read about Sam her being the only woman to work with the guys at the Eye Candy Ink and she looks fabulous too.

Book #1 Atlas
Book #2 Mischa
Book #3 Sam

Sam is a very tough, straight talking woman who is no push over. She is a woman that is totally different from everyone else with her quirkiness and her eye catching hair colors which are awesome. She's worked with the guys a while and they all always protect her and make sure that she is doing okay.

When Max comes on to the scene and sees her he knows that she is different and already loves that about her. Ma is a very independent businessman who is very confident in himself. Max is older that Sam and that she is worth all the hard work that she's putting him through. Sam puts Max through some tests but I think that she just wasn't to make sure that he isn't going to hurt her and that was just her way.

There love story is a very slow burn romance and I think that Sam treats Max in away to try and put him of because at first I think that she is scared of getting hurt. That's why I think she comes across as sort of youngish. But when she decides to give him a shot I was cheering into my book. I do love the characters that this author writes and I really love her style of writing and cant get enough of this series, its absolutely fantastic.

This book is a real insta love book that was a great installment into the series.
This book is out now.

Sam is the best heroine I’ve read in 2020. Hands down.

So far, Atlas has been my favorite Eye Candy series book, and to be honest I didn’t foresee that changing until Nico. Confession time, Sam blew my out of the water! A strong, capable woman with enough experience to know what she wanted (and deserved), Sam set a high bar for those who want to be in her life, and Max will need to rise to every challenge if he really wants to claim her. Mature and confident in himself, Max is able to apologize and work for foreignness when he needs to, and able to pushback against San when she’s being too hard headed. This was an *outstanding* read.

Sam is fierce and strong and doesn’t take crap from anyone and I love that about her. So when Max has his eye on her, and asks her out, she of course says no. Max doesn’t give up though, he even tells her he will play whatever game she wants and pass all her tests. Their banter is great, and of course the eye candy ink crew is a part of it all too.

I’m so torn about this because I love Eye Candy Ink and all the guys and Sam has been pretty cool in the previous books but I just did not like her at all in this one. She was too immature and wanted to play too many games. I kept telling myself it is because of her age but at 25 , you should have your shit together. Like when she busted up in the kitchen at Max’s restaurant and it not only scared him but made him almost drop a plate of food. Then he tells her she can not be back there bc if the health regulations, she gets pissed and storms out and then Max has to be the one to apologize. I wanted to reach in the book and bitch slap her. Max is too good for her! Will I read the rest of the series? Hell Yes! Shaw Hart is really amazing if you think about it because she can write a book so well that when you finish you are still mad at the character! Lol

I was so looking forward to reading this book . I love Sam and her independent, Wild ,crazy colourful hair personality.
Raised by her dad and two older brothers she was protected and loved like no other . Sam is the piercer at Eye Candy Ink and had had a bad run in the dating field so decided that she was not going to date anymore.
Enter Max handsome rich just as independent and craved control . One look at Sam and he new he found his forever after , if only Sam would get on board with that it would make his life so much easier however Sam wasn't going to be told what to do or how to do it and put Max through his paces . Looking forward to Zeke's story which I hope is next.

WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.

Max meets Sam when he comes into Eye Candy Ink, he is Zeke's friend from childhood and a silent owner. When they go back to Zeke's office Max tells him to tell him more about Sam. Later Zeke tells Sam that Max was asking about her and that he's a good guy. When Max's text Sam later and asks her out on a date she turns him down. Sam is afraid that if things go bad between them she won't have a job. Max sends Sam roses and food when he know she is working late, she relies with the roses in the garbage and eating food from the vending machine. Max tries to send her a message everyday asking about her day, but Sam doesn't reply. Sam and Mischa head out to Club Se7en, it's a club Max's owns, so he gets them in without waiting. Sam searches for Max but doesn't find him until he comes up behind her. Sam tells Max that Mischa wanted to take her out tonight, then wraps herself around him. Max has to leave because of another problem, when he leave Mischa tells her he's not interested, and she tells him she's not either. They both head home, Max follows Sam. Max asks Sam if Mischa is here and she tells him no. Max tells her it's enough with the games she is playing. Sam tells Max she doesn't want him, he calls her a liar. Max tells her he wants her but he won't take her unless she wants him, he tells her not to wait to long. Three weeks later, Max is questioning whether or not he's was reading Sam correctly. One of Max's chefs quits on him so he has to filling in on a busy night. Sam comes bursting through to the kitchen Max is working in, he tells her she can't be in there, if the health inspector sees her he'll be shut down. Max then realizes when Sam turns and walks away that he really messed up. When Max comes to the tattoo parlor to apologies to Sam she tells him that's not good enough. Max offers to take her out and she tells him no. Sam tells Max she has plans and he asks her what she is doing, she tells him she is dyeing her hair. Max asks her how he can make it up to her and she tells him to let her pierce him, he agrees. Sam asks Max what type of piercing he wants and he tells her what ever she wants, so she gives him the apadravya. Max will have to wait three months for it to heal and he believes this is another test she is giving him. The next night Max comes into the parlor and walks Sam to her car. Sam asks him what's in the bag and he tells her he thought they could have supper together and dye her hair, after she thinks about it she agrees. As they eat and dye Sam's hair they talk about their families and what starter she dyeing her hair. When they starting kissing, Max gets his piercing caught on his jeans and needs some help, then they fall asleep together. The next day when Max arrives at Eye Candy Ink, Mischa and Atlas come out and get in his car. Then Zeke slides inside next to Atlas. Soon Nico is climbing inside next to Zeke. They tells Max they need to talk to him, in private. They want to know that Max is going to treat Sam right. Max tells them he loves Sam and is never going to hurt her. Max asks Mischa how Indie is then asks Atlas how Darcy is. Atlas tells everyone that he's planning on proposing to her. Everyone congratulated him. When Max turns he sees Sam standing outside his car. Max opens his door and pulls Sam onto his lap, she asks what they are all doing. Max tells her he is here to bring her breakfast. Then Mischa tells her that Atlas is getting married. Max takes Sam out to a nice seafood restaurant, but she's allergic. When he finds out he apologies and they leave. Sam tells him she wants Chinese so she orders and he picks it up. They head back to Sam's apartment, when they get inside Sam's father and brother's are waiting for her to come home. They want to know who Max is so Sam tells them they've been seeing each other for a few months. Her dad asks her to give them a few moments alone with Max. When she comes back her father lets her know they approve of Max then they leave. Max tells her he like her family, then tells her he loves her. Sam tells Max she loves him too then he pleasures her. Max takes Sam to his place and makes her dinner. After dinner Sam goes to use the bathroom, but when she's not back when Max is done cleaning up he goes to look for her. Max finds Sam in his bedroom watching porn and pleasuring herself. Max strips his clothes off and then Sam pleasures him. He stops her taking control, he finds some of his ties and uses them on her. They both comes harder then they ever have before. In the middle of a conference call Sam comes busting in the door. She tells Max he has to come with her, seeing she's not hurt he asks her what's going on. Sam tells Max they need to get to the courthouse Atlas and Darcy are getting married. Six months later Max and Sam get married, when he proposed it was the first time she ever cried. One month later Sam finds out she is pregnant. Five years later, they have their daughter Catherine 'Cat' now she is in preschool, no longer coming into work with her parents. She wants to watch her Uncle Nico, but her parents want her to go with Aunt Indie, who's going to show her how to hack into someone's account. Sam asks Max how he thinks their daughter is going to take the news. Max asks her what news and she tells him Cat is going to be a big sister. Max calls Sam a brat and asks her when did she find out. Sam asks Max if he's happy, he tells her it's the happiest he's ever been. He tells her he loves her and she tells him she loves him more.

Yikes! What happened to Sam?!?
Reading about Sam in the Atlas and Misha's story I really thought I would like her.
She's a strong woman who can seem to hold her own with the guys are Eye Candy Ink and the rude and sometimes egotistical customers who might try to hit on her.
But yikes, she goes on about how she doesn't want to date immature boys anymore. Yet when Max actually starts to show interest and asks her own she starts playing her own games, acting immature, and at times just flat out mean.
Hell she even had Zeke and Nico both telling her she should give Max a chance and that he was a good guy. For someone who says the guys were like her family and she trusted them, that just seems like she actually doesn't trust them.
All the tests she made Max go through to prove he was really there for the long haul?? I can't help but wonder why all of sudden was she convinced she had to do these tests. Why not oh I don't know any of the other 500 guys she says that were immature and only there for her body. Sounds like Sam should've figured out what she wanted long before Max came along and kept her legs closed while she was at it.

Sam and Max

I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this book. We have been introduced to Sam, if brevely, in previous books in this series a bit grumpy and short tempered. And the first few chapters didn't endeared her to me....she really played hard to get and tested poor Max, going as far as to get him a dick piercing. But when she finally let's her guard down and let's him in we are taken in their journey of getting to know each other. It was refreshing the lack of drama and just unadulterated friendship, love and red hot romance. Highly recommended

Another great couple in the Eye Candy Ink series, I didn't want it to end! Sam is like a sister to all the guys, working the front desk and doing the piercing for the shop. She doesn't date, has no interest in it. That changes when Max comes in to visit his friend Zeke, Eye Candy's owner. She is so attracted to him and he to her but she doesn't make it easy for him. Sam is so feisty and Max stumbles a time or two but redeems himself. A fun and fast read, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Loved Max and Sam; now off to read Zeke's book.

Skip this book

I enjoyed all the other books except this one. I couldn't finish it. The heroine was childish and bitchy. She complained about how she hated when boys played "games" with her but, that's exactly what she did. She jerked around the hero for the first half of the book for no reason...he seemed like a nice guy. The author never gave us any substantial background as to why the heroione would behave this way. I got to 47% and just couldn't stand it anymore and stopped reading.

I think for now I liked Sam’s and Max’s story the best so far.
When you read books there’s this pattern when “the girl is all interested” and the guy “is having double thoughts” and I was so glad that I finally got to see the reverse situation.
Sam was not so sure about Max, and she definitely did show him that. Sometimes her behavior was childish and just dumb, but I still like her. Maxwell was like a obsessed golden retriever boy which I loved so much! This guy would do anything for him girl and you can tell. They both fit so well with each other.

I cant wait to read the next book!

I feel like I say I love every book but I did love this book. The only thing that let it down was how short it was, it kinda felt like the author had given up on this one and just quickly written it to get it over with. It’s a lovely story but only made for a short read.

Max is obsessed with Sam and wanted to win her over. She finally let him in by getting his p*n*s pierced as a test and since then, it was smooth sailing. I wouldn’t say there was a drama part where there is meant to be but overall, a good book

Welcome to book three in the Eye Candy Ink series. If you are coming to this book as a reader of book one and two then welcome. If you have not read book one or two, then I would suggest you do so before this one. There is a lot of wrap around characters and information that sets the tone for this book. I really enjoyed this one. Samantha and Maxwell meet and Sam gives him a run for his money. Max isn't deterred and soon wears down our girl Sam. There is a lot of fun and frustration to be had here. Enjoy!

I had fun with this read. I love a read that is quick, spicy but has a good story that keeps you pulled in. Sam is a strong minded woman that has a fiery personality. Max is a little older, and has amazing patience. I loved her "tests" and she will keep everyone on their toes. I've really enjoyed this series and hoping to get more!

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I want to be Sam!!!!

I love this series and was dying for Sam’s story. She was everything I wanted her to be...tough, smart, sexy and confident. Max was the perfect guy for her...she needed someone who would challenge her but always show that he would always be there for her. I liked the push/pull and how Sam made Max work for that first date and for her. This is steamy and that ending!!!!! Can’t wait for next book in series.

Colorfully fabulous

Just like her hair, Samantha is a bright colorful woman who is looking for a man who can handle her differences. Max knows he is that man and sets out to prove it to her. Shaw Hart has written an awesome addition to this series. You don't have to read the others but you would be missing a hole lot of awesomeness expect when you see Atlas and Mishca in these books. They are a strong family who would do anything for eachother.

I read it but only to get to the next story

I read both Atlas and Mischa’s books and liked them, but this one just didn’t do it for me. I liked Sam fine in the other two books but in this one (her own story) she comes across as childish, mean, self-centered and vindictive. And Max should have just walked away honestly. I felt sorry for the guy and thought he deserved better. I’d have told her to F* off when proving I cared meant piercing my privates.
