It was a random pick and my shallowness probably got the better of me here, because that cute guy on the cover plus his description in the blurb just pulled me in. 

Well, I don't know if this was a good example of this author's work, but the whole book felt like a retelling of a story through the characters. You know, when there is just lots of telling and not showing? The characters did not experience anything, they kind of told us about things... And those things weren't even interesting.


It was flatly written, quite uneventful, very cliché and sadly boring... - just like this sentence.

We have finally come to the end of this boom series and its pretty fluffy and sweet with some steam.

Nico is the last guy in their crew to find his love and it happened when he was tattooing a VIP guest. Edie a interpreter who is annoyed with her client but she enjoys being around Nico a tall dark and silent alpha that sends shivers down her spine. Nico is already sprung for her also, as he takes her home and have a couple dates when she's in town.

Few parts are flashforward and they are the only couple in this series to do a long distance relationship due to Edie work. Lots of family time with the Ink crew. And I do love this close family. Plus the little bundle that has Nico and Edie happy for.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary chsras, sexy times, no virgins or manwhore

The last book of the Eye Candy Ink series tells us the story of Nico the quiet, brooding gentle giant.
I did not really enjoy the story I think the plot is rush and I did not feel the build up of the relationship between Edie and Nico like I am expecting more from Nico he is one of the best artist and with his personality it should have been more and the LDR did not really work for me.
Maybe I am also sad to say goodbye to this fun, weird and cool people of Pittsburgh.. Yah I will miss all of them and their Thang! ❤️

Argumento:

Es del tipo fuerte y silencioso.

La mayoría de la gente se asusta un poco de Nico cuando lo conoce, pero no tarda en ver que, aunque pueda parecer aterrador, con su ceño casi permanente, sus tatuajes y su tamaño, en realidad es un oso de peluche gigante.

En realidad, no le importa lo que la gente piense de él, y prefiere pasar su tiempo a solas con su cuaderno de dibujo.

Hasta que conoce a Edie West.
Ella es inteligente, exitosa, impulsiva y la cosa más hermosa que él ha visto. Aunque hable demasiado.

Edie es una traductora a la que le encanta viajar por todo el mundo por su trabajo. Nunca quiso sentar cabeza ni ser ama de casa. Quiere experimentarlo todo en la vida.

Mi humilde opinión:

Nico fue una historia rápida con un amor a larga distancia y un bebé en camino. Un instalove con momentos divertidos por parte de una gran familia de tatuadores.

Nico y Edie fueron lindos PERO...

Si bien me gustó cómo manejaron su relación a larga distancia. Era algo realista? Pienso que no porque no todo es tan perfecto en la vida real cuando una pareja está en una relación de este tipo y me hubiera gustado algún, aunque sea, pequeño conflicto. También esperaba algo más de carne en la historia, no sucede mucho aquí. Sé que es un insta y que es una lectura corta pero podría haber sido mucho mejor.

Esperaba exageración y en este caso lo que sucede con los protagonistas fue totalmente exagerado. Nico y Edie están cenando, primera cita, hablando de su niñez en un tono muy tranquilo cuando de repente están teniendo sexo sin antes darse el primer beso. Esto fue chocante porque me quedé pensando qué acaba de pasar!? Aunque el romance fue dulce y sexy y me interesaba cómo manejarían su relación a larga distancia, faltó más conexión, no lo sentí realmente.

Nico es mí tatuador favorito de la serie y siempre me intrigó pero esperaba algo más de su historia.

El librito estuvo ok pero no me encantó.

Nico is a gentle giant, he’s tall, dark, handsome and quiet; and you know what they say, it’s the quiet ones you need to watch out for 😉! Nico’s life takes an interesting turn when he meets sweet, sexy, curvaceous Edie. Their attraction to one another is immediate and Nico is quick to snatch up the sexy translator. Their whirlwind romance burns bright and they rock at the long distance relationship thang, until Edie becomes pregnant. With a baby on its way, Edie moves in with Nico and the two start their new life together. Their happily ever after is sweet and the epilogues in this book will make you smile. Nico is the final book in Shaw Hart’s Eye Candy Ink Series and I really wish there were more. If you haven’t read Atlas, Mischa, Sam and/or Zeke, be sure to TBR those along with Nico. Enjoy!

I love Nick’s quiet self! It’s such a rare treat to read a hero who is quiet and reserved not because of dark trauma, and Nico delivers! He doesn’t talk much, but when he does, it’s powerful and caring of those he loves. He’s not a mean tough guy, just a tough guy. I love the way he was willing to push himself out of his own way to support her, and it didn’t take angst or fighting to get there. This is a book you read when you want to be reminded that there ARE good guys out there and they ARE wonderful to fall in love with.

aunque no son los mejores libros del mundo y medio que da cringe todo el instalove amé muchísimo a todo el grupo de eye candy ink, la forma en que se apoyan y se boludean entre sí, como ellos dicen son una familia y si sintió así, mischa terminó siendo mi favorito por lejos aunque los amé a todos (tanto a los chicos como a las chicas) para resumir si me gustó la serie no me arrepiento de leerla para nada y los voy a extrañar a todos y a su dinámica de abrazo grupal mientras mischa intenta escapar.

I was so excited to read this one but it just disappointed me. I don’t feel the connection between Nico and his girl. They were cute yes, but the book is the last one in the serie and I wanted to see all of them spending time together. I don’t know there’s just something missing :/

L’histoire de Nico m’intriguais, c’est le plus silencieux de tous, donc dans son tome on va vraiment le découvrir.

Très grande surprise Nico, dans les autres tomes ils étaient effacés mais là on découvre vraiment que c’est un homme d’action, qui sait ce qu’il veut et qu’il hésite pas.
Edie aussi est mignonne, elle essaye vraiment d’être là meilleure personne possible, elle est forte.
J’aime bien le couple.
Comme pour chaque tome, c’est un coup de foudre, donc c’est toujours assez rapide. Mais on s’y fait et c’est pas tant dérangeant.

Par compte je trouve vraiment que l’histoire est en accéléré et c’est dommage j’aurais aimé en avoir plus.


L’épilogue avec les enfants est cool et ça fait une ouverture pour la série spin off sur les enfants.
C’est toujours sympa de voir à quel point ils sont tous toujours une famille et que ça va perdurer avec leurs enfants.


Au final c’était une série vraiment sympa, sans prise de tête, rapide à lire mais vraiment on rentre direct dans l’histoire et on s’en lasse pas.

I picked this book up after I saw the author post about it, something about that cover called to me. Mind you that I am reading backwards because I am a rebel and well I really really wanted to read this story. That said, this was definitely something different for me. Since it is a NEW TO ME author and their style is usual from what I read, it was refreshing to me. That said, this story was little fast pace, it felt a little un-detailed meaning things between H&H just progressed a lot faster without the in between's. Very sweet, I loved the hero and heroine, their fit very well together and it was very cute.

I must say I am sad to see this series end. I love these books the characters , the storyline , they are so relatable and you can connect with them on every level.

Nico and Edie as a couple were amazing they bounced off of each other and the love they had for each other showed in the pages of this book. I loved the ending and hopefully fingers crossed Shaw will maybe continue on with the next generation of Eye Candy Ink .

I loved this book. Although I loved all the books in this series, I think this ones my favourite. The storyline was sweet and entertaining, but also halarious. It had me laughing out loud more than a few times, especially the engagement. The characters, loved each one of them. I was really looking forward to reading Nico’s story and I was not disappointed. Ths tattoo family is the best, who wouldn’t want a family like theirs. A really great read.

Nico was the last one standing at Eye Candy Ink, and after one VIP client comes in with their interpreter - Edie, he’s gone. Edie and Nico start a long distance relationship and see how it goes as she travels all over and he works long hours at the shop. Once again the found family is one of my favorite things about this series, esp the end of this one. I can’t wait to read the second generation now.

I love this story as it was sweet and steamy at the same time. I love the play on words between Nico and Edie. He is just so BIg and Sweet and just all around good guy. The way their relationship took off and just the combustible steam that these two exude between each other. I really enjoyed this story!

I LOVE THIS

The whole series is amazing and I have loved every character but Nick was the one I always had a soft spot for. I loved this story and the development of his relationship. I really hope there is more to come. Watching these characters evolve and grow has just been incredible. I really just hope it continues and I have no doubt I will read this again and again!

WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.

Nico meets Edie when she comes into the tattoo parlor with a client who she has to translate for. When the client leaves Edie is left and Nico takes her back to her hotel, he grabs her a bit to eat when he sees her looking at the fast food places. Edie asks Nico questions about where he grew up, and he asks her the same. Nico asks Edie if she would like to have dinner with him and she tells him she would. The next morning Edie wakes and goes to a coffee shop to grab breakfast, then she walks around the city of Pittsburg. Edie grabs a pretzel and sits on a bench in a park, she spots Nico on a bench a few feet away from her sketching on his pad. Nico asks her if she eaten and she waves the pretzel at him, he tells her she needs more to eat than that. Nico grabs Edie and rushes her back to his truck, picking her up along the way when he sees she's only wearing flip flops. She asks him where they're going and he tells her he's giving her a driving tour of the city. Edie falls asleep and Nico stop at one of Max's restaurants when he sees he's there, and grabs some food. When Nico gets to Edie's hotel she wakes and asks him what smells so good, he tells her he grabbed them dinner. She invites him up and tells him she was surprised he asked her out, he tells her she is gorgeous. Edie tells him he hardly talked to her when she was at Eye Candy Ink, he tells her he doesn't talk much because his parents are both therapist. They talk about their parents, as they eat their dinner, when Edie asks Nico what's for dessert he tells her her. Nico pleasures her then they get physical. The next six months fly by, they are making the long distant relationship work. They text everyday and make sure to call each other every night. Sam, Mischa, Zeke and Atlas all notice that Nico is a lot happier and smiles a lot more. Edie notices she's been getting sick lately, noticing she isn't able to shake this flu she notices a few other symptoms she is having. Edie heads to the store to buy a pregnancy test or three. All of them say positive, she tries to think of a way she can tell him. Nico has a bad day at the tattoo parlor, when he has a VIP patient who won't sit still for his tattoo and keeps wanting to take breaks. Mischa and Atlas come to help Nico when it's taking longer than it suppose to. After the client leaves Nico goes to clean his room but Mischa and Atlas already have it done for him. They all leave together but a cab pulls up outside the parlor when the door swings open Edie steps out. Nico pays the cab and asks her what she's doing there, she tells him she needed to see him and tell him something. Nico tells Edie she can tell him anything and she tells him she is pregnant. Nico tells her that's the best news and she asks him if he's upset, he tells her no. Nico tells Edie that he loves her and she tells him she loves him too. When Edie wakes the next morning Nico comes in with some things to help with her nausea, he ran to the store. Nico and Edie talk about whether or not she should continue to work and he tells her if she gets a job someplace else he'll move for her. They spend two weeks together before Edie has a job in NYC. When she is back home they go to meet Nico parents. Then they head to Zeke's to meet his other family. When they leave Edie tells Nico she doesn't want him to leave either one of his families, she'll move to Pittsburg permanently. Edie arrives home and is meet with a room full of flowers, candles and food all over the counter. When Edie asks him what's all this, Nico drops to one knee and tells her he loves her she's the best thing that's happened to him, and asks her to marry him. she tells him yes. The pantry door busts open and Mischa and Indie poke their heads out and asks what she say. Edie hears Atlas whisper to them poking his head out of the front closet, Darcy pulls him back in. Zeke asks if they can come out from the spare bedroom and they hear Trixie giggle. Zeke steps out and walks down the hall knocking on the bathroom door. Sam and Max poke their heads out. Sam asks what did Edie say as she rushes past Zeke go hug Edie. Edie hold her hand up and tells them she said yes. Mischa rushes over to Edie and whispers to her that he's glad Nico found her. Zeke, Atlas and Max all hug Edie and welcome her to the family. Indie asks if they can eat and Edie asks if that's what all the food is for, Nico tells her that they all insisted on coming over when he told them he was going to propose. Nico tells her Max and Sam brought the food, while Atlas and Darcy brought the flowers, and of course the balloons are from Indie and Mischa. Zeke tells her that him and Trixie got them something but it's work. After everyone eats Edie thanks them all for coming, and Nico carries her to bed. When Edie's mom comes to town they pick her up at the airport. Nico heads to work but orders dinner to be delivered to them while he's working. Zeke shows Nico his office where he has two cribs set up and all kinds of baby things around his office. Since Trixie is working at Eye Candy Ink they'll be bring their baby to work and tell Nico he can bring his baby also. Zeke also surprises all of them by making each of them a partner at Eye Candy Ink. Nico finds out his last client of the day canceled on his so he heads home. Nico walks in and hears Edie talking to her mom about being a failure in her eyes, her mother assures her she could never be a failure. Nico stopped by and picked up the delivery and when he walks back inside he makes sure they hear him so he's not eavesdropping on their conversation. A few months later, Nico and Edie get married at a small ceremony with everyone from Eye Candy Ink, her mom and Nico's parents. A few months later, Edie heads to Eye Candy Ink to surprise Nico, she's been having pains but the doctor assured her that they were Braxton Hicks Contractions. When Mischa comes to hug Edie she cries out in pain as a contraction hits. Mischa calls for Zeke, because Nico isn't around he took off to go and get the car seat they ordered. Zeke tells Mischa to go get his car since it's the lowest to the ground. Sam calls Nico and tells him to head to the hospital. Zeke helps Edie into the back seat and instructs her to do her breathing. Mischa rushes them to the hospital, when they arrive Nico come up behind them, he rushes out and pick up Edie rushing her inside. The doctor rushes in and ask them if they are ready to have their baby. Eighteen years later, it's prom night and everyone is at Zeke and Trixie's place to take pictures. Nico and Edie's son Grayson is taking Zeke and Trixie's oldest daughter, Nicole. They opened up a second location of Eye Candy Ink further uptown and Nico and Mischa help to run that one. Edie and Nico decided one kid was enough for them, the birth was hard and he didn't like seeing her in pain. When Grayson was born Edie know his name should be Grayson Zeke Mischa Mitchell after the two men who helped her get to the hospital. Everyone gets together for a group hug as Nico looks over his completely dysfunctional, crazy, total perfect family that he found. 😭 😭 😭!!!

I will admit that after book 2 I was just hate reading the series. Everyone ends up happily married and pregnant. This book ends with all of those kids in their late teens and a few about to start working at the studio. I rolled my eyes so damn much…I’m going to take a Tylenol and a fucking nap

This is the last book in this series and awe it has been one hell of a ride. I loved reading all the characters and how there lives have changed and how they each found each other and themselves and love. This is book #5 in the series and it was a really enjoyable read.

Nico is a very quiet reserved sort of guy and he is the guy that has a great talent like the others at the tattoo shop. Nico is a big guy at nearly 7 feet tall and is a real gentle giant but deep inside him he is so lovely and sweet.

Edie is a beautiful lady who works as an interpreter and when she first meets Nico at Eye Candy Ink something passes between them both and they have an instant attraction. When they start to see each other they have to do the long distance thing because of there jobs but there love is strong and sweet.
They have good chemistry and when fate takes hold and Edie becomes pregnant they both start there lives together.

This series is one of the best book series that I have ever read. I absolutely love the way that this author writes and her story lines always flow. The charters in this book and the others were fabulous and the reader could really connect to them and once you start this series you will not ever want it to finish. The epilogues in all these books have been amazing and so was the one in this book. This book is a real sweet Insta love story and I really enjoyed it. I highly highly recommend that everyone reads this book series and in order so you really get to know who everyone is. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.

While I have been eagerly waiting for Nico's story, I'm also kinda sad to see it published. I've loved reading about all the characters at Eye Candy Ink, and I don't want the series to be over! I'll definitely be binge reading this whole series now! All that aside, I loved getting to know Nico better. We've always known he is a gentle giant, a teddy bear inside that massive tattooed body. Now we get to learn his history and find out what makes him tick. And Edie was a pleasant surprise. She comes across as pretty much Nico's complete opposite, but these two fit like missing pieces. I love how seamlessly she fits into his family, while giving Nico someone of his own to love. Low angst, no drama, just boy meets girl, they fall in love, and end up spending their lives together. And no spoilers, but the epilogue is amazing!

From the minute I finished reading Atlas (the first in the Eye Candy Ink series), Nico was a character I was quite interested in. I mean who wouldn't want to know more about the 6'8 giant who may look scary but is just a giant teddy bear??
Well sadly this book did not live up to the hype I may have built in my head about Nico's story.
I was really disappointed with the lack of actual story. I mean this one reads just like a series of event that happen, but there's no real connection, no chance for the readers to get a feel for these characters, and the kind of relationship they are building.
Overall it was bland and quite boring to read. What started out as a good series really became a letdown with the last two books. Which is sad because Zeke and Nico are the ones I think many readers really want to see happy and what kind of woman it takes to turn these guys heads.

Okay so first of all, everyone says not to judge a book by its cover. However in the case of Nico by Shaw Hart - judge all you want!!! The cover is beautiful and so is the story inside. Nico serves as the conclusion to Shaw's 5 five book Eye Candy Ink series. Nico and Edie are a great couple to close the series and say good bye to the other four wonderful couples. Nico may be the quietest of the tattoo artists at Eye Candy Ink, however it's his soul that says so much. I love that he kept his relationship with Edie real close to his heart, not wanting to share their short, precious times together with anyone. He definitely put her comfort and well-being above all others. I loved the entire series, Nico, Edie, and each and every one of these characters. I am very sad to see them go.

Ich finde die Reihe in sich wirklich gut!
Der eine Charakter spricht einen mehr an, der andere weniger, aber das ist wohl einfach persönliche Sympathiesache! Schön ist es zu sehen, wie die Geschichten ineinander greifen und jeder den richtigen Partner aus den unterschiedlichsten Motivationen und Situationen für sich findet! Ich habe die Bücher nicht der Reihe nach und das Buch von Mischa erst fast zum Schluss gelesen, weil mich sein Charakter in den anderen Büchern weniger angesprochen hat, aber sein Buch hat mir mit dem Buch von Sam aus dieser Reihe mit am besten gefallen!! Das Buch von Nico hat mich wieder weniger angesprochen, wobei mich genau dieser Charakter in den anderen Bücher wieder gereizt hat!! Man soll eben nie voreingenommen sein und jedem Buch eine Chance geben ;-)

This one felt very rushed. Honestly, on their first date they're eating and taking about their childhood and literally the next breath they're ripping each other's clothes off? And like 2 licks later she's coming? Nah. Good amount of typos which doesn't overly bother me, what did bother me though was that after they had their first date, it skipped ahead 6 whole months? AND WHY DID NO ONE IN THIS SERIES TALK ABOUT SAFE S*X BEFORE GETTING INTO IT? I couldn't read the scenes without cringing because none of them ever used protection. Couldn't connect with these characters, though I did love all the friend group dynamics. They were amusing. Skipped the last few chapters because I was just over it.

Nico and Eddie
Nico and Eddie's love affair was fast, sweet and red hot. Eddie works as a translator and travels a lot but they make it work until she unexpectedly falls pregnant. I totally fell in love with the big and silent teddy bear that is Nico. This two are so perfect for each other. Love the epilogue that give us a glimpse into the gang 's HEA after 18 years together. Eye Candy Ink has become my number 1 series of all times. Great writing, fantastic plots with likeable characters and red hot romance it made it a great series. I urge you to give this whole series a go. I promise you won't regret it. Highly recommended

Shaw hart definitely saved the best for last. Way to end such an amazing series! Nico was such a teddy bear and oh so amazing. When he meets Edie, he knows he as to know her better, and he realizes that she is different and the one for him. He convinces her to start a long-distance relationship because die travels a lot because of her work. He is more than willing to make it work and make her see that they can build a life together. A beautiful ending to a great series and such a sweet epilogue. Although this book can be read a standalone, I would recommend the rest of the series. All books are just as amazing, and all include a HEA.

Nico was a great story. I couldn't put it down. Shaw Hart did a great job on it. The plot and characters were strong. From the moment Edie and Nico laid eyes on each other, they were drawn to one another. They were perfect for each other. Loved the protectiveness and obsessiveness.
The connection between NIco and Edie was strong, their chemistry was off the charts, it was sexy and sweet. They were great together. I enjoyed their journey.
This was a great story, I'd suggest reading it.
Looking forward to reading more of Shaw Hart's stories. I've really enjoyed them.

Nico is the quietest tattooer artist at Eye Candy Inc. He's 6'8 which scares most people but when you know him he's a big teddy bear.. Edie is also attracted to Nico and when he gives her a ride back to her hotel they stop and get a quick meal. I love how these two make their relationship work. They are so cute together and work off each other. Wonderful short story with some steam and lots of love. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Tenía muchas ganas de conocer a Nico que me encanto el insta love con edi😍 realmente vi la química las chispas y el amor en el aire, el verlos ser el complemento fue lo que más me enamoro de la pareja me encanta el ver como se fueron ayudando a superar miedos que ellos no se habían dado cuenta que tenían pero verlos crecer eso es lo que más te encanta, es un libro corto donde el amor sobreabunda y los suspiros no faltan. Es un hombre que lees y no crees que exista pero tienes la semilla de que si aún están pero son pocos😍 aún sigo en una nube por este hombre increíble y lo que muero por leer a la segunda generación 💖
