Concealed by Olivia Paters is part of K.Bromberg's Everyday Heroes world.
It is a standalone written in dual POV with tropes as small town, forced proximity, and roommates to lovers.

This couple was made for each other! Their chemistry is obvious from the moment they meet, and it only gets stronger throughout the story.
Rebecca was such a strong woman! I loved following her blossom and getting more confident.
Wyat knew perfectly where to push Rebecca and where to give her time. He treated Rebecca with so much respect but without making her feel like she was a victim. Wyatt wasn't only hot alpha but also super sweet, kind, and respectful. I loved reading how he discovered he could have both a career and a serious relationship.
There is lots of build-up to the moment this couple has sex, the anticipation ran high, and I wasn't disappointed at all. The steamy scenes were hot, descriptive, and sexy.

I like Olivia Peters's writing style, it has lots of inner monologues but is fluent and easy to read. Her characters are complete people who are relatable, and she creates a realistic world.

Concealed is filled with suspense, angst, steam, and swoonworthy moments. It's a story that drew me in and didn't let me go till I finished it. It's a perfect story for lovers of forced proximity and roommates to lovers.

I received an ARC from the author but am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I love when a book from a new-to-me author hits every single check box on my romantic suspense list. Characters developed beautifully through description as well dialogue and interactions with other characters: check. A fast paced main storyline that builds the suspense but doesn’t feel rushed, plus a subplot that enhances my understanding of the characters: check. A broken but spirited heroine determined to be her own savior and an intense, imperfect, dirty talking hero resolved on helping her heal without being an overbearing alphahole: check. Plus, heavy subject matter handled beautifully without sounding self-righteous or preachy: double check! Olivia Peters hits all the right notes in Concealed, including the perfect amount of angst revolving around a well-developed external conflict that culminates in the anticipated and coveted HEA I craved. Even though this story is part of K. Bromberg's Everyday Heroes World I did not in any way feel I was missing out on details relevant to the characters or storyline. This is a perfectly crafted standalone with the ideal amount of heat and intensity, plus a serious book boyfriend contender and an engaging and sympathetic heroine.

Olivia writes a slow-burn, suspenseful, small-town romance that has you unable to put it down. Concealed has your heart beating faster as you read about Rebecca's past and how Wyatt is there for her.

Wyatt is a police officer that had to leave his previous station because of beating up a pedophile and it seems he is a bit of a hothead. He is sent to Sunnyville and is accepted right from the start. Gabe, his friend asks him to take in a friend that needs a place to lay low for a while. Wyatt agrees but is unaware that this friend is a female and has a haunted past. He makes it his job to take care of her, but he is also attracted to her. His job is stressful and when tragedy strikes twice will he survive? Can Wyatt and Rebecca survive as a couple?

Rebecca is running from an abusive relationship and the last place that she wants to be is at a cop's house, however, that is exactly where she ends up. Gabe, her family friend sends her to Wyatt for her to lay low. She is living with the thought that all men are abusive and is always looking over her shoulder. She finally realizes that Wyatt is not like other men and lets him break down her walls a bit. When she thinks she sees someone from her past, she has a panic attack. Can she be seeing things are is he really there? What happens when tragedy strikes both her and Wyatt?

Olivia does an amazing job of keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout this book. I highly recommend this novel.

This was such a good small town story.
There was so much angst, and theyre so magnetic when they're together.

Rebecca is tossed into Wyatt's life over night, little did they both know that they were exactly what the other needed. Wyatt being a police officer who dedicated his every waking moment to bring the best cop he can be, has no time for a love life. Rebecca who is running away from her demons and over coming extreme trauma finds her happiness in the one person she was sure she could never love because of her past.

My eyes couldn’t move across the page fast enough! I loved watching Rebecca fight for her independence and could feel how hard she was struggling to leave her past where it belongs. Wyatt was the perfect man to help her out of her shell! And wowzer when they came together it was H O T! Throw in a missing persons case that is so intense I couldn’t put the book down! Be prepared for the book hangover!

I received an ARC of this book from the author. I’m leaving my honest review. I loved this book. Okay so the spice was *chefs kiss*. So many spicy scenes but there were some really cute moments too. I’m a sucker for a romance with some suspense and this book gave just that. I started reading it and had a hard time stopping. I love both of the main characters but Wyatt was very swoon worthy. The way he treated the MC with respect and made sure not to push her was so sweet. I just loved this book. If you’re looking for a book that has some romance, spice, and some suspense then look no further.

Oh my what a wonderfully good book by Olivia who is becoming one of my favourite authors! This new book was so well written and it’s now my favourite book by her! Rebecca is needing a safe place and a mutual friend offers Wyatt’s place. Things aren’t as they seem as Rebecca hides and relocates and Wyatt has his own problems but they can’t deny their chemistry. I devoured this book wanting to know what would happen next with so many twists and turns. I am so glad that I found Olivia and her books! I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion but you really need to read this splendid book that will have you enthralled!

Olivia Peters has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Rebecca and Wyatt. Wyatt has just moved to Sunnyville to start his job with the police department. On his first day, he gets a message from his friend Gabe asking for a favor. The favor was allowing a friend to stay with Wyatt. Wyatt said it was fine. Wyatt asked what time the friend should arrive and was told by 8 p.m. Wyatt said he should be home by then and if not for Gabe to give his friend Wyatt's number and he would go and let them in. When Wyatt gets off, he has a message from Gabe saying not to kill him when he got home. When he gets home, he sees a car loaded with stuff and a petite blond standing there. As he gets out of his truck, she walks over to him and said "Wyatt?" He said "Guilty as charged. And you are?" The woman said that she was Rebecca Vance. Gabe's friend. Wyatt is shocked that Gabe would send a woman to stay with him but he must have a good reason. Wyatt takes Rebecca into his apartment and shows her around. She takes off her sunglasses and Wyatt sees she has been hit in the face. Wyatt has seen enough abused women and knows what has happened to Rebecca and how to treat her. The more he treats her as a person instead of a victim, the more she comes out of her shell. Rebecca has come to stay with Wyatt because of her ex-boyfriend Matt. Matt has abused Rebecca and the police won't help her since he is a police officer. Rebecca is falling for Wyatt and things are going well for them. She has gone running alone and she thinks she has seen Matt. She runs to Wyatt's and locks all the doors and windows. She calls her friend Gabe and has him talk to her until he shows up. Wyatt is on the task force and they are on a stakeout to catch a bad guy when Matt catches Rebecca at the store. He hears from some other officer that his friend was at his house and Wyatt asked if it was Gabe and was told no, it was Matt. Wyatt rushes home and sees Matt has Rebecca in his grasp. Wyatt tells Matt to let Rebecca go. Matt said that he and Rebecca are going back home together. Wyatt tries to get Rebecca to walk to him but she tells him that she and Matt worked things out and she is going back home with him. She knows that this might be the time that Matt kills her but she wanted to protect Wyatt's job and his life. Wyatt knows that this is not what Rebecca wants so he goes to his boss and tells him what is going on. Wyatt gets his boss to call someone he trusts to go and check on Rebecca at Matt's. When Wyatt and his boss get to Matt's the officers there are saying they aren't home. Wyatt goes to Matt's car and feels the hood and said it was hot, so they must be home. Wyatt goes in the back and hears a woman cry out. He knows it's Rebecca so he breaks in. When he finds Rebecca, Matt is over her with a gun beside him.
Will Wyatt be able to save Rebecca?
Will Rebecca press charges against Matt?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Olivia Peters is a relatively new to me author and this book did not disappoint. I liked both Wyatt and Rebecca as characters and them together. Wyatt is a cop starting over in a new town due to a couple of mistakes he made, and Rebecca has just gotten out of a bad situation. This book touches on human trafficking and domestic abuse but primarily from the law enforcement side trying to stop it. Through her writing Olivia shows us the intense emotions between Wyatt and Rebecca as they fall in love and deal with the events in both of their pasts to come out stronger together.

Holy hot cop, Batman! Wyatt is one fine specimen. Wyatt and Rebecca are thrown together after some unfortunate circumstances for both of them. He is sulking and she is hiding. Close quarters bring to life feelings that neither of them have felt before. But can she open up again, and to a cop no less? Does he want to give up his dream for some chick with baggage? Those questions get answered for them and their connection is undeniable. I loved watching how caring Wyatt was towards her and how Rebecca opened up when she felt safe. This story was incredible with a few twists and turns. So very glad I found Olivia Peters!

Wyatt is sent to the Police Department in Sunnyvale lucky to still have a job after what he did. He doesn't want to be there but has to suck it up. He is helping out his friend which is how he meets Rebecca. Their story is raw she was abused by her boyfriend and he is starting over. It is relatable, intense, they have great chemistry. Olivia did a fantastic job, the writing was great kept me invested. A definite page turner.

While you are making your Christmas reading list. Add this book to it. Olivia Peters does not disappoint with her newest book. I loved Rebecca and Wyatt. They brought the heat. Wyatt from Concealed by Olivia Peters will have you dreaming of a man in uniform as your next book boyfriend!

Rebecca was going through some things from a past relationship that was causing her some PTSD and to have her walls up. Yet, Wyatt did not push her. He supported her and slowly allowed her to let her guard down and to trust Wyatt. Once that happened, the sparks were flying between Rebecca and Wyatt. Readers who are looking for their next troupe story do need to pick up a copy of this book.

Suspense until the end of the book. Story picks up from the beginning and can't put this book down.
Rebecca and Wyatt needed second chance in the small city and they found what they needed with twists and turns.
Wyatt screw up in big time in LA so he moved Sunnyville and starting over. He had big dreams of becoming detective but his temper got in the way of his case and had to move away to small town to start over. He was determined to make it wherever he ended up.
Rebecca had to hide far away as possible from Vegas where no one knows where she is. She never thought she would be a roommate to a cop. She knew he was different but it's not easy to forget since her ex was a cop who abused her mentally and physically.
Now Wyatt would do anything to protect Rebecca and keeping his head in the game at the police station as well.
Rebecca was vibrant and carefree girl before her ex-boyfriend kept her away and now she is slowly finding her footing with Wyatt's help. Wyatt was willing to patiently wait for Rebecca and they finally find their happiness until Becca's past comes back.
I really enjoyed this book. Pace was quick and kept you on your toes, never a dull moment.
Thank to Olivia Peters for my ARC. I can't wait to dive into other books by you!!!

He is a cop.
She is his partner's friend.
She also has tons of skeletons in her closet she'd love to hide.

As their relationship progresses, the skeletons keep coming out.
Will that affect what they've built?

Wyatt and Rebecca are interesting. They're broken, but willing to grow.
And that's what made this a good novel.

This book is so unbelievably good. I literally couldn’t stop reading. Rebecca is on the run from her past abusive relationship and ends up at Wyatts. He doesn’t know her exact story but can tell that it’s not good based on her bruises and skittish behavior. They instantly are attracted to each other and there growing relationship is what she needs even if she fights it. I loved how they came together and how he was protective of her. He had his own issues to deal with but made her a priority which melted my heart.

Is sensual suspense a thing? Well it is now! This book was a FEAST for the emotions! There’s some heavy subject matter, but it is handled perfectly, and Olivia Peters clearly did her very thorough research for this book! Beyond that, Wyatt and Rebecca are multi-faceted, well developed characters with explosive chemistry that just drags you into their hearts and minds. I loved this story! I also need a book for Gabe! 😍😍

I received a copy of this book an as arc red form the author and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Wyatt is a police officer. He messed up somewhere in his career and got downgraded to the Sunnyville Police Department. A quaint small town miles away from Los Angeles. He has a great ride-or-die friend, Gabe, from the old force who happens to ask a favor on short notice, of course. Oh, interesting, his dad is the governor. Even more interesting is the story behind the reason he was transferred. He seems to have a temper problem. After a long day, he goes down to meet his old partners' friend. Who turns out to be she, her name is Rebecca.

Rebecca is a timid, shy female with a smoking body and clearly some hidden skeletons in the closet. She is moving in with him for a while. She is slightly intimated by him and definitely running from something. I would hazard a guess at an abusive relationship. Rebecca is very broken. Her actions and thoughts definitely confirm my earlier theory. She isn't looking for a savior, just a new start, and she really doesn't trust men of cops. They are off to a rocky start.

This book gets steamy as they both explore beyond just friends. A lot of her truth comes out, and it sucks. She is a little hot and cold, but he is a patient man. He really is swoon-worthy in his treatment of her and his soft, gentle touch and praise. A lot of this story is also focused on his work and the task force he is on. This man really does his job a lot.

Everything is going great between them; she is adapting to her location and overcoming her fears until she is confronted with them one day. She does the right thing but, of course, is still shaken. Her sexy cop is busy, so of course, a friend comes to help her. They get super-steamy as things seem to settle out. We are finally starting to see Rebecca as a confident, independent woman. The author will surprise you, though, and I was genuinely shocked by that twist. I kinda figured something was coming.

I'm even more surprised she went willingly. But at the last second, she changes her mind and decides to fight; unfortunately, it is too late. I honestly thought that the story at this point would end in tragedy. Our hero does come thru even though he puts himself at risk. This does revolve around a huge conflict in the story that was hanging over the heads of our main characters. Yes, this ends happily, and it does time jump at the end of the story.

Wyatt is a really sweet, protective, and an honorable guy. He has strong feelings about right and wrong and can't help but act not always to the letter of the law. Rebecca is very broken at the start of this book. She does, over time, start to become a totally different, more confident version of herself. She is a survivor. He is a hero with a heart. The skeletons do all come out of her closet eventually. This book is action-packed and full of a sweet loving romance. The author doesn't go into extreme details on the issues Rebecca has with he ex. I don't feel it needs a trigger warning but beware; she gets into sensitive subjects and scenarios.

I really enjoyed both main characters discovering life again. I loved that even though Rebecca was broken, she was trying to rebuild and trust again. Wyatt certainly took steps to show his character not just to her but also in his work. This was a fascinating story of recovering from your past mistakes and finding a new, unexpected future.
