While this is still a series I love, this volume was a little disappointing to me. Kamishiro is still ridiculously hot, and I adore both his sexy scenes and his more tender ones, but Miku was especially frustrating in here. It's so obvious she is not a good fit to be a mistress that I will be shocked if she ever is able to successfully "be" with anyone who isn't Kamishiro (though I am proud of the way she turned the situation around with Sakuto). It's not that I want Miku to end up with someone else, but since that is the premise of the series, I'd like to think her achieving her goal is even slightly believable. I have some theories as to why Kamishiro decided to give Miku lessons in the first place, but I'll have to see how that plays out,
Everyone is so melodramatic. The injuries, the flailing around and yelling. Their outfits weren't becoming when casual so I'm glad we move on to her flirting w. the benefactor's son but she's so annoyingly fickle. She either wants to earn money or not and the guy she was w/ looks so much like S but is nicer and richer so there should be no issue. She says he always comes to her rescue but if he's so near and always listening, why does he always wait so long? Sooo repetitive.
Very beautiful flower/butterfly details on the tops, the weddingy negligee, the moonlit feathers. He needs to teach her how to relax and think of memorable conversation. She's become a shell, a lame stuttering trope. He should also have taught her manners and taken her shopping since he's always pointing out how she doesn't fit in. Always the same lame three second base moves, like copy-paste. She's never done anything to him so this whole premise of "training" makes no sense.
We still know nothing about her family or hobbies or past, the benefactor or even the mansion. Did she actually quit her jobs, what about all the creeps she dealt w/ before? These last two issues have gone nowhere when the first one held such promise.
Miku continues to fall further while her mistress training continues, but she remains determined to do her best, impressive even her skeptical teacher. There are moments, especially when Miku needs extra care or attention, that especially make Kamishiro's motives seem like they might be more than just being a good butler and teacher. Might be slightly concerning to see what would have happened had things gone badly with the test date earlier, which leaves a lot of questions for how this first job will go.
