Act 1: Seed On Fire, is the first book in the Moore Family Saga by Michele Sims. This was cleverly written and a delight to dive into to. The author did an amazing job building character and a setting that grabs the readers. This book had it all from adventure, romance, and to a strong family dynamic. This was my first read by this author and I will say this will not be MY LAST. She is an excellent author that I highly recommend.
This story follows Kaiden and Alicia who are newly married couple living in NYC and already expecting a new baby that was conceived on their honeymoon. While they go through so much with the twist and turns they have such strong family dynamics. They show that together, strong family bonds are important with all that they face.
I give this book 5 stars and I impatiently await the next book in this series!

Act I: Seed on Fire is book one in the Moore Family Saga by Michele Sims. As a new author to me, I went in blind and not knowing what to expect, how the author wrote, or if the story and its content would entertain me. I was delighted to find it was a fantastic read and the author can spin a tale extremely well and I was taken along for an exciting and delicious ride.

Kaiden and Alicia embarked on an adventure and had a few little surprises along the way. These two were engaging and a pleasure to read about. The story flowed along brilliantly and passionately. I could not ask for more in a romance. 5 stars.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It is full of romance, family and even has a twist that kept me wanting more. The characters are strong, connectable and made the story come to life for me. Kaiden and Alicia’s journey is one of emotion, romance and excitement for the new addition to their family. Life has a way of throwing you lemons but it’s how you cope with them is what matters. I highly recommend this book, find out how they cope with life.

Seed on Fire is Book One in the Moore Family Saga series of books. We are introduced to Kaiden, a musician, and Alicia Moore, a young couple that fall head over heels in love and soon become married after a whirlwind romance. Alicia unexpectedly becomes pregnant on their honeymoon, something which threatens to tear Cade and Alicia apart. Kaiden, or Cade as his friends call him, and Alicia, or Lecia as her close friends call her, find their relationship put to the test with this revelation.

Cade never expected to settle down but that all changed when he met Lecia. He is now struggling with the sudden life changes and his impending fatherhood. Lecia finds herself overjoyed and cannot wait to become a mother but is struggling with the loss of her career because of her impending motherhood. These life changes cause a rift between Cade and Lecia but soon a series of horrific events not only threatens to break them apart but also puts the life of their unborn child in danger. Will their love be strong enough to endure the threats and hardships put before them?

This book was full of action, adventure, romance, danger and ultimately the family ties that bind. The author does a great job of tackling the difficult topics of the sacrifices and the often-difficult concept of forgiveness that most couples are faced with throughout their relationship. The characters of Kaiden and Alicia were described so well so you could not help but feel that you knew them. I loved the relationship that they had and the lengths that they would go to remain together. No matter what they went through and who tried to tear them apart their love for each other was undeniable and unbreakable. From the very first few pages I was hooked, and I needed to learn more about this couple and what was going to become of them and their relationship and ultimately what would become of their unborn child. I was hooked and not only quickly devoured Book One but immediately moved onto Book Two in the series, Playing With Fire, followed up by the next few books in the series. I highly recommend the Moore Family Saga series of books.

Kaiden and Alicia Moore are newlyweds and soon to be new parents are going through a lot of different feelings, emotions, and changes. They both feel like they are loosing each other until a series of events bring them closer to each other.

This storyline has a lot of different situations going on that will have you thinking hard and re evaluating your life. This book had my emotions all over the place, I identified with two of the characters, this story grabbed me from the beginning and held me until the very end. I recommend this book.

Act I: Seed on Fire (Moore Family Saga) by Michele Sims
5 out of 5 stars

Act I: Seed on Fire is book one in the Moore Family Saga written by Michele Sims. This is also the first book that I have read by this author and I will be reading more of her work. The characters are well written with strong personalities while the secondary characters helped with their quirkiness. The storyline was great and different and the way this author described the scenes made it seem like I was there. There were a few twist and bumps in their road but they made it through this together.
Kaiden and Alicia Moore, originally from North Carolina, are enjoying a life full of love and passion. As a young, professional couple who had made their home in New York City, they were busy balancing their careers with the demands of their new marriage which as fate would have it, included an unexpected bundle of joy. They got pregnant on their honeymoon and so began their adventure.
Nothing in their lives together has ever been typical and their relationship will forever be changed by a series of nightmares that threaten their love and the life of their unborn child. Will their commitment to each other and support of their family be enough to cope with their challenges? Will they support each other or walk away from each other?
You have to read this amazing story….

I received this book on May 20, 2019 and could not seem to put the book down, so I slept a few hours and finished the book the very next day. Michele Sims did a superior job of showing how love, family dynamics, hatred, and jealousy can invade the privacy of a beautiful marriage; and then demonstrated how a marriage that is built on trust, respect, faith, and love can endure any hardships encountered. This book captured my interest from the first page to last. I couldn't wait to get to the next chapter to see what was going to happen. Michele included family dynamics that are so important when a couple marries, that can impact a marriage, especially when different cultures are involved. This book captured the true essence of how a marriage may be struck with difficult situations, but by a couple staying faithful to each other and believing in each other and the vows taken before God, family and friends can lead to a successful and enduring marriage, regardless of roadblocks that may occur. I can't wait to read Act II of the Moore Family Saga!

Holy Buckets!! So I'll start with, this is my first read by this author and I enjoyed it so much that I couldn't stand walking away from it until I finished. It flowed in a way that made it a really quick read and I didnt want it to end.

I don't even know where to start with this review as I am so afraid I'll give too much away, but I can tell you that Cade and Lecia were awesome characters and I love that this all started out with them already married and expecting a baby, a baby that was conceived on their honeymoon which I find awesome since I was born almost 9 months to the day my parents got married :)

The journey through their pregnancy was filled with alot of normal reality and I loved how that was all written but then the past comes slamming into the story knocking me completely off kilter. The twists and turns were totally unexpected and took this story in a whole different direction and I'll admit scared the bejesus out of me. Everything gets put to the test and I just can't even imagine.

I loved the family dynamic in this book from both Cade and Lecia’s sides. Strong family bonds always draw me in and this one was everything I love. I can't even tell you how much I can not wait for the next in this series.

Awesome!!

Act I: Seed on Fire
By Michele Sims

I love it when you go into a book with little expectation and it completely blows you away – this is exactly what happened with Act I: Seed on Fire! I read the blurb and wasn’t quite sure but what a read! I loved it and couldn’t put it down! It was also a wonderful introduction to Michele Sims as an author – one whose work I will definitely be reading more of in the future!
The story was really well written and felt very real at times. The characters were really relatable and I can imagine some readers definitely being able to relate to some of the things Kaiden and Alicia went through. I felt like I really understood the depth of the relationship that these two had – this story really was an absolute pleasure to read. I loved reading the ups and downs of this newly married couple and watch them overcome the problems that arise. I felt like I was on this journey with them!
I am definitely eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!

Act I: Seed On Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 1)
By: Michele Sims
5 out of 5 stars

The story Act I: Seed On Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 1) by Michele Sims is a book that I loved reading. I loved both the characters and the storyline. You are taken on a journey into the lives of Kaiden and Alicia Moore. They are a couple who are balancing their careers and the arrival of their first child. The story has many emotional moments and dialogue. There are times when it is suspenseful and you wonder what will happen next and others when you feel the depth of love between Kaiden and Alicia. They are characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. I also loved reading about the additional characters in the book. Many of them are family and it is interesting to read about the family dynamics that occur. This couple has a support system. Kaiden and Alicia have challenges that they must face. Read this story to find out their amazing journey. This is a book that once I started, I didn’t want to put down until I had finished the last page. Highly recommended reading.

Act I: Seed On Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 1) by Michele Sims is a story of love
and passion, uncertainty and expectations, fear and loss, hope and surprises. It is a
quick and engrossing read that is full of the unexpected, it is also an emotional
rollercoaster ride and yes there were tears. The story is of a couple that are madly in
love and are trying to juggle their careers, each other and the impending arrival of
their first baby and what it means for them. There are some ups and downs and
some unbelievable moments when you didn’t know what the outcome would be
which had you on the edge of the seat. The main characters were delightful but some
others not so much but they all made their part in the story. The romance between
the main characters if off the charts and you can help but fall in love with them even
in times when things are a little rocky.
I can’t wait to see what Michele brings us with the next installment to the series.

Act 1: Seed On Fire
Moore Family Saga
Book 1
By Michele Sims
☆☆☆☆☆
This story is about family as well as suspenseful. Great story! I see movie in the future!

Kaiden and Alicia are seen as the perfect couple. Getting pregnant on their honeymoon, the child is earlier than they expected. But as they struggle to adapt, many things unfortunately cause bumps in the road. The ups and downs are faced head on. Is family support enough to get this couple threw what could destroy their young family? Only reading the book will tell you.

Michele Sims has put this young family, in a situation that seems so real. The story in it self, keeps you reading. I love the characters, and their feelings. The suspense in this book is a rollercoaster of a ride. I'm looking forward to reading more from her. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. Way to keep it real Michele Sims.!

Act I: Seed on Fire is the first book in the Moore Family Saga by Michele Sims. It is the first book I have read by her, and I enjoyed it. I liked most of the characters in the book. Cade was a little too controlling for my liking, but he has good redeeming qualities. He loves his family and will do anything for them. The supporting characters are wonderful. At first, I thought it was just going to be a typical romantic story of 2 people in love, and starting a family. The book summary talked about events threatening Cade and Lecia's love and family. I assumed that to be Cade's controlling tendencies and fears about being a father. I was not prepared for the horrors that actually happened. I wont give any spoilers, read for yourself!

Act I: Seed On Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 1) by Michele Sims. This is such a quick read so be prepared to finish it when you start. Its such a good story full of love and passion. Its the story of Kaiden & Alicia Moore who have moved from North Carolina to New York City. They are the busy "Power" couple who are balancing marriage and careers. A big surprise for them was Alicia getting pregnant on their honeymoon. So add a baby to the craziness of their lives and its a wild ride. Oh did I mention they are a bi-racial couple? So that adds another level of stress. Will their love be enough to keep them all together as they await the birth of their baby Miles? Read Act I to find out. Can't wait for Act II!

Act 1: Seed on Fire by Michele Sims

4-stars

This romance read is the first book in the Moore Family Saga, and it completely took me by surprise, it was nothing like I expected. This storyline was detailed, action-packed, unpredictable, twisted, steamy and dark! From the beginning I was hooked, the author wrote with so much detail that made it easy to picture everything playing out, which at times made me emotional. I enjoyed how real and raw Kaiden and Alicia’s relationship was, I could easily feel for both of them in their times of struggle.

I can’t wait to continue with this series and get answers to all of my questions!

Drama At it's Best

This is my first read by Michele Sims, I was blown away from the first two paragraphs. Love is in the air between Kaiden and Alicia Moore, life couldn't be better. In steps, Satan, lies, jealousy, and drama, which you do not see coming. Follow the story of Kaiden and Alicia to see how they deal with the fire that comes into their lives. On to book two of the Moore family saga. Michelle Sims' debut novel is worth the read, and she is an author to follow.

This is my first read with this author and wasn’t sure what to expect before diving in. The cover and title piqued my interest and the story kept me turning the pages.

Kaiden and Alicia Moore are newlyweds and before they've had the chance to focus on just being married, they return from the honeymoon with the news of being pregnant. This young couple is quickly thrown into the adjustments of expecting a child so soon after being wed.

With their unique family dynamic, it becomes apparent that ALMOST everyone is happy for this news of the expected new addition. The author plots an interesting story of romance, suspense, covert operations mixed with an element of fantasy to keep you engaged until the very end.

The Network and the book’s supporting characters made this story complete. I am looking forward to what comes next.

I recommend this to any fellow reader that enjoy a romance sprinkled with an element of fantasy.

Kaiden and Alicia Moore are a power couple, they are both in their twenties and recently happily married, she is a nurse practitioner and he is a successful jazz musician who live in New York and the world is their oyster. A few months after their honeymoon, they find out that they are expecting and it is a new joy that they now feel and as time passes, they become more and more excited about it.

As they time comes for baby showers and gifts galore enter their house Kaiden is feeling a little overwhelmed as the furniture starts to move in and take over his space, it starts to affect his behaviour, but when it takes a toll on their relationship it makes things a little awkward. As communication breaks down and they try to work things out, gifts continue to pour in and external factors are not making things any easier, but this is the least of their worries.

As the due date approaches, other forces conspire to break their marriage apart and threaten their lives, as well as that of their unborn child, when danger raises its head and causes problems for everyone, but will their relationship be able to stand the test of time and overcome the obstacles in their way, or will things break before they have even had time to begin? This is a fast paced and thrilling romance where there are more ups and downs than a rollercoaster ride and plenty of emotional swings throughout.

ACKNOWLEDGING BIAS: When consuming my review, note that I was raised by a single Mother; therefore, the presence of a patriarchal household is off-putting. While my bias influenced how I engaged with the text, I understand more “traditional” familial circumstances can be healthy as opposed to malicious. In one-on-one conversation, the author articulated this point well.
__
Set in New York City, the fast-paced text tests the Moore family’s trust, love, + resilience as the parents’ world is abruptly halted with the abduction of their newborn. For assistance, Kaiden and his wife, Alicia, employ “the Network,” an Illuminati-esque organization with more than questionable business practices. If successful, the pair must navigate parenting’s nuances + seek justice, all while acclimating a newborn to the family. If unsuccessful, the pair will be forced to recognize what binds them to each other: Parenthood? Family? Love?
__
As the text is told from Kaiden’s perspective, character development was initially slow. Near midway, the reader better understands Alicia and forms an opinion on the couple’s dynamic. Within the glimpse, the reader is brought into the beauty of unconditional love for one’s spouse and child.
__
On a personal note, I found the marriage to be patriarchal; however, others [via published reviews] found the dynamic to be falsely-patriarchal [i.e. Alicia allows Kaiden to believe he wields power while she holds the reigns]. Nevertheless, the dynamic left me uneasy and informed the mid-tier review.

ACT 1: SEED ON FIRE is the first book in the "Moore Family Saga". This is a multidimensional story with several story lines running at the same time.

The writing was very detailed and it is obvious the author plotted the story rather than writing a stream of consciousness. The story flows from beginning to end in a slow, even pace even though there is A LOT going on.

Because this is a spoiler free review I will not give specifics yet I will say that the whole thing was a bit over the top. Each story line on its own would be a decent read (dysfunctional sibling relationships, secret societies, stereotypical characters) but put together in such a detailed way had me.speeding through most of the book. At around 53% I almost DNF but really wanted to see how it all concluded.

I always always appreciate an author putting their ideas on paper. This book is well edited, had no plot holes and a very defined beginning, middle and end.
