I am excited to have discovered and been able to purchase several of the World Explorers biographies! They are easy to read, perfect for children who need something just a little more advanced than easy readers but are not yet ready for middle-grade books, but who want true stories. As with the others in the series, this one tells an amazing story of exploration that held my interest all the way through. It has illustrations every few pages, with large type and plenty of white space to make it easy for children just starting to read chapter books.
