Dragon Hoard #3

Dragon Treasure

Rate this book
Dragon shifter Tyson has been hearing a distant call for months now, a lonely cry that he hopes is his mate. All he has to do is find out where it's coming from. When the mournful voice screams for help, Tyson leaves his home and his brothers in the mountains of Colorado to rescue Myc, another dragon who's in a terrible and dangerous situation. Nursing Myc and his niece and twin nephews back to health, Tyson knows he's found what he's looking for, but he doesn't want to push. He's waited this long. He can wait until Myc is ready to mate with him.

Myc knows Tyson is the one for him, but he's lost his home and his family, and he's not sure he knows how to convince Tyson he's not shy or fragile. He also knows he's added three more kids to Tyson's rapidly growing family, and he's afraid to ask Tyson to mate with him and have more.

Tyson and Myc have to fight the past, their own fears, and their deep, stubborn notions of what's right to come together with the kind of love they both know they can make.

3.5 stars. I was really happy that Tyson finally found his mate. He has been hearing him call for help & hasn't been able to find him. He finally finds Myk & he is in a very bad way. He & brother's children were being held by DiMarco, the evil vampire who has been shadowing them over the other two books. What I didn't like, is they basically waltz in, kill the vamps & save Myk & the children. After the build up, there really isn't a battle, and this all happens within the first 5% of the book. The balance of the book is Tyson & company, helping to heal Myk both physically and mentally & them working on their bond. Tyson & the rest do mess up a bit with Myk, but that is resolved rather quickly. I felt that the book centered more around the children then Tyson & Myk.

One would have to delve into the Dragon Hoard Universe for lore. All I understand is that vampires hunt them. Couples consist with the father having a knot. Once they find their mate. Well their collection takes a back seat. They live in the mountains.

These three brothers were raised by nannies that magic sent. If they are in danger a hell hound shows up. One of them has a cat. That also showed up!

Ohhh, I love dragons...

My favorites are the fire ones, but I can be flexible! I liked the different affinities in this book, since they made each character extra special. Their powers were as varied as their personalities and it was very interesting to learn about them. The hoards were also fascinating. I mean, where there is a dragon, there must be a hoard, right?

Okay, my dragon obsession aside, this was a nice if a heartbreaking story. Myk was through so much before his mate came and rescued him. It was sad and heartbreaking to read about all that he lost and had to endure, but also sweet and touching to read about his healing. I liked how it wasn't rushed and we got to see how one slowly overcomes grief and loss, how it does not happen in a blink, but is instead a long process. His mate's support was invaluable. They were very sweet together, even when drowning in babies from all sides. It was a nice story.
However, the writing style did not agree with me. It felt too.. choppy? disjointed? fragmented? It lacked a certain flow, so it slowed my progress and made me way too confused at some parts. I just couldn't get used to it, the flow of the story was frequently interrupted by random fragment or a random switch from one topic to another, not to mention the lack of linking between some topics and scenes, like letting us know characters moved to another place or changed positions or topics. It was like one of those old style movies, that run like 1000 flash cards per minute to make it look like the picture moves, but in this case a few of those cards were missing, so the actions and dialogues were a bit jumpy and missing some links that would ensure smooth transitions.

Admittedly, that kind of dampened my enjoyment, but I still enjoyed the story about these two beautiful dragons. Yes, I am back to fan-Girling about dragons, shush.

On it’s own - 4.5 stars, but as the end of this trilogy - 2 stars

I have mixed feelings about this book. As the end of this trilogy, I’m disappointed. The whole point of the events of the previous books was that they were fulfilling prophecy and brining a resurgence of magic to the world. To find out that it was all based on a misunderstanding and that there are dragons throughout the world was not in keeping with the prior books, and felt artificially introduced to be able to make a spin-off series.

Is it really believable that 3 dragons who are, we now find out, ancient and legendary among their kind, don’t know anything about their kind? That they’ve never once, in hundreds of years, encountered any evidence of not being the only dragons? They’ve clearly known of other paranormal creatures. Wouldn’t younger dragons have heard of the ancient ones and come to check them out?

On the other hand, if I hadn’t had the expectations from Brand and Eagan’s books. I actually liked the development of Ty and Myk’s relationship the best. I loved that Ty made assumptions that he needed to protect Myk after his horrible torture, only to find out that Myk assumed that such an old dragon must not value having a young mate. I loved that they learned to work together; to communicate and to make common goals.

I’m also curious about this new world of dragons and what new characters and relationships will come in future books. I just wish that the introduction to this wider world didn’t feel so forced.

I am so happy! Grumpy Tyson finally finds his mate in Myk. The difference we have here is that Myk knows he is a dragon. He has been living with his brothers as one big happy family with their mates and children. Don’t read this one if you haven’t read the first two though because you might not understand the references to the past. You also won’t understand who the vampire is that is present at the beginning of the book. While Tyson and his brothers were keeping Devon and Ollie safe, the vampires attacked an easier target: Myk and his brothers’ family. There isn’t the fear of discovery or harm in this book since the vampires are dispatched and they are all living at Tyson’s home high in the mountains. There is room for everyone. Tyson is so used to being on his own that it takes some adjustment on his part to think of having a mate. Myk feels guilty that he has survived, even though he managed to save his niece and nephews. The four dragons rescued have to heal, and the village that is Tyson and his brothers and their mates make everything so much easier. There are so many babies to love in this book!! They are absolutely adorable and I love how all of the adults and the babies all glom onto each other as one huge unit. This is a happy book, full of happy baby squeals and love galore. It is a truly great way to end this series. I will be rereading this set often!!!

It was kinda cute, but distinctly lacking in story. It's basically just a bunch of guys hanging around with a bunch of babies. Babies use "baby talk," guys say "I love you" to each other and the children over and over, and will you look at that? Another baby. Who would have guessed. Sweet but pointless.

Myc is in the hands of vampires with his niece and nephews. He calls out for help. His mate, Tyson, answers with a rescue. Love can be a hurdle!

There was a definite let down to this last book in the trilogy. There were a lot of ways Tyson's story could have gone, to give him his romance wrap up the plot threads. What I found was underwhelming. I thought the "prophecy" and conflict with the vampires just fizzled out (and certainly too early on) and Tyson was a shadow of what I hoped he would be. Myc felt only half formed as a character, mostly wrapped up in all the kids. While the kids were adorable, they took over the story instead of a focus on the romance and intrigue. The book was fine, but I just felt a bit disappointed by the way things ended.

This is the 3rd and final book in the Dragon Hoard series. We spent 2 books learning about this threat that the author wipes out in the first 4 pages of the book and never brings it up again. There was a lot of time dedicated to the threat in the past books for it to be removed so quickly and with very little effort. This book was also primarily just a chance for us to see all of the children all the time. At least 50% of this book was just kids talking or adults picking up children. This book was also a bit disjointed, the end of one scene and the move to the next was very unclear at multiple points in the book. We also spent 3 entire books trying to figure out this prophecy to be told VERY casually that it was fake and we never discussed it again...so that wasn't great.

I did like learning more about each dragon's powers. That was very interesting!

This book was better than book 2 but overall it was just kind of meh.

My favorite of the series. I loved both of the MCs. I loved the interaction between all the characters and loved the little children. A bit sad that there wasn’t more brothers for the author to write about.

Rating (All ratings use a Scale of 1-5) = 2 stars: ALL the action is done within the 1st 5% of the story (literally). Lots of potential but poor execution. More follows below.

Blurb = 3
My Genre Scale = 5 stars for dragons, 3 for mpreg
Odds if not your genre = 1

Development of: =
*World = 3
*Plot = 2
*Characters = 3.5

What stood out = "Danger Mouse"

Mood Type / Appeal to those looking for = Braincandy with no action, extremely heavy on sex, but has cute kids and strong family bonds.

Warnings = mPreg, and a ton of sex scenes if that is not your thing (Until they got repetitive, these were done pretty well.)

HFN/HEA = Definitely

Series Notes = 3rd of 3
*Reading on? Nope. I would not. Nor will I go back for the 1st 2
*Reading back to back? N/a, Did not read the others
*Can be easily read without the previous? Yes, for a laid back reader for sure. At times I was a little confused to who was married to whom and/or to whom the kids belonged, but this was not really an issue.

Rating Notes = (SubPlots, thoughts, etc... ) I am only going to list a few of the major issues, because I am not one who believes in just tearing down an author or book. But on the other hand, reviews are to guide people towards whether or not to purchase a book.

The writing did not flow. To say it was choppy is putting it mildly. Plus, I had to stop and reread sections a lot to: figure out meanings, to parse out speakers in unclear conversations, or decipher "baby talk"etc...

A lot of the issues did not feel "organic" but instead sudden plot devices which was further hampered that we are "told" more than we are shown.

I had a true "WTF?" moment in relation to the prophecy. I have a feeling if I had read the previous 2 I might have been even pissed. And... What was the purpose of the animals that just showed up?

There is more that I could add. This should have been a good easy read. I was really excited about this book; yet I found it extremely difficult: to follow the writing, to stay engaged, and to finish reading.

Since my mother had a major stroke (while we were in the starting stages of moving from GA to SC) , I really haven't been able to find the time or energy to review. I've also been doing a lot of rereading. I'm going to try and get back into the "swing" of things. Just maybe not at my usual pace
**************
Below is my philosophy on reviewing!
***************
1. I try to take into account and note common pet peeves often bemoaned by others.
2. "Brain candy' does not necessarily carry a negative connotation. (What is brain candy? Publishing industry 's version of pop music - Typically: formulaic, from a prolific author published often and quickly (like monthly), things escalate fast, and are often solved easily etc..)  It has its uses: to pass time whet tired, on the beach, etc...  The problem comes  when "brain candy" is unexpected or even disguised.
3. Blurb rating purpose:
Like many readers, I do not like to think I'm reading one kind of story; just to end up with another. But...I also don't think a book should be docked stars for being as stated. If I don't like stories about "_________", and I choose to read it; I shouldn't give it 2 stars based JUST on my preferences. Unless... it wasn't clear in the blurb.
4. Other Factors that effect my perspective when reviewing:
Since 2009, I have exclusively read m/m. My 1st was in 2007. I am a Kindle diehard, and I never do audio for m/m. I read at least 100+ books a year - with an average length of 220± pages; but the total number of books is usually much higher. My Goodreads lifetime rating (at the start of 2021) was a 3.64 average for 1527 books. Which considering, one should be better at picking out books the more one reads, I feel is an accurate average. I have over 795 reviews within the m/m genre here on Goodreads.

There’s a lot to like about this book, particularly for fans of true mates, mpreg, and cute dragon children. It’s really the culmination of the trilogy, with each of the three dragon brothers achieving their HEAs and settling down.
If you remember from book 2, the last dragon brother, Tyson, is longing for his mate, who he thinks has been calling to him telepathically. I went into the book expecting this to be the plot, which it was—but only for about the first 10% of the book! After that, Tyson has rescued his mate, Myk, and they settle down together in the compound with the other dragons. The rest of the book is the day to day life of three dragons, their mates, and a ton of children living together. Sure, there’s the growing romance between Tyson and Myk as they gain their happily ever after and Myk recovers from trauma, complete with some hot scenes as Tyson claims and breeds his mate. However, most of the book is dominated by descriptions of the children and babies. Plus, it had seemed as though the plotline with the vampires had been building over the trilogy, and I felt let down by how that was wrapped up.
I was overwhelmed by the amount of characters in the book—yes, I know we’ve met most of them before, but it felt like a lot of the attention was drawn away from the two MC’s romance, and there were details from the last books that I was struggling to remember that also impacted how much I understood this one, such as the brownies and whatever was going on with the dogs. I read each book as it came out, so it had been long enough that I could have used some reminders. Overall, I wish that this book had been more like the other two, in that there was more of a focus on Tyson and Myk, the two main characters, and less on the children and big cast of characters.
Readers who are a fan of cute dragon babies and descriptions of mpreg domestic life, this one is for you! However, shifter/mpreg readers like myself who aren't particularly into those aspects of the genre, you may find this not to your taste.

A HEA for the trilogy and Tyson and Myk– more time on just them would have taken this from great to amazing

I really wanted to love this book and, in many ways, I did – Tyson and Myk find their HEA, the bad guys are vanquished and the brothers all live HEA with their mates/children. I love books where you actually get to see the MCs live some of their HEA as it gives a true sense of them being okay and finding their happiness (which I think is especially nice when one or more of the MCs has gone through something traumatic). Unfortunately, I think in this the balance was a little off. Tyson finds and rescues Myk and the children and vanquishes the baddies very quickly in the book (I’m not 100% but I’d say it’s easily all over by about 10 – 15% into the book). That, in and of itself, isn’t a problem but it felt like there was a lot of focus spent on others, not just Myk and Tyson for the remainder of the book. That’s not to say that it isn’t adorable seeing all the babies, seeing the kids start to heal (as well as poor Myk) and watching Tyson adjusting to suddenly there being a lot of people in his space. I just felt the book was off balance and that left a kind of off-kilter feeling at the end.

It sounds like I didn’t love the book, and I did, I just didn’t really love it (which I’m a bit bummed about because Tyson is my favourite). The writing was still the amazing style that I’ve come to expect from Minerva Howe (and fits PRN fiction so, so well in my view). In any event, I’d definitely recommend it (I mean, there are dragons and babies and HEAs – what more can you want?!).

Tyson, the eldest and final brother, has finally found his mate. In the last book we learned Tyson had been hearing a voice calling for him. He believed he was meant to find them and that this person must be his mate. Well Tyson was right on both counts. Myk desperately needed rescuing and he most certainly was Tysons mate.

I was happy Tyson found his mate, but not happy about what happened to poor Myk. He had lots of healing to do once he came back with Tyson, not to mention he came with a set of twin baby dragonets and a preteen niece. Tyson didn't miss a beat. This was his mate and therefore they were all now his. Like his brothers before him, Tyson was used to being alone so it did take some getting used to and multiple nudges from his mate before Tyson realized he couldn't hide away all the time. Myk was no shrinking violet. When it came down to it, he made his feelings known.

Though I enjoyed the story, and there was far less near constant sexy times in this one ( which I liked), I felt the writing was sort of...busy I guess? At times I felt like it read like a stream of consciousness and I would get confused and have to re read. There would be a lot going on and I found it hard to follow. Then it would slow down and go back to normal. I picked up on this a few times throughout so I decided to mention it. Other than that little niggle I was happy to have seen the final brother mated and happy.

The eldest Drake brother, Tyson, finds his long awaited mate, Mykel Ladon, captured by vampires and held prisoner with his niece and two nephews. But rescuing his mate is only the first step to becoming a family.

Hmm. The third and final book in the Dragon Hoard trilogy fails to include the best parts of the first two books - the family dynamics. The easy loving banter between the siblings and their mates was absent and it fell flat because of it. I didn't like Oliver or Devon much at all in this and Brand and Eagan are basically non-entities. I mean the first two books there was a lot of miscommunication but the final book takes it to a new level with not only a lack of communication between Tyson and Myk but also between everyone else.

Ty's retreat into his workshop was also ridiculous. The first two books he whinged about wanting a mate and then he gets one and proceeds to ignore him. It was dumb and it irritated me. As far as the whole "prophecy" mystery

The only redeeming part were the kids. The kids were hilarious. Arielle and Nevedah were cute. And the animals. The dogs just showing up. They were the best parts. I really wanted this to end on a strong note but it was a bit of a miss unfortunately. That said it wasn't all bad, just somewhat senseless. 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3.

A story of saving family no matter what the cost.
Mykel Ladon and his niece Nevada & twin nephews Sydney & Leonard have been captured and tortured by vampires. Myk's call of "Find me. Love me" to the mate he knows exists is getting weaker the longer he's chained up. Tyson has been hearing this whisper in his dreams for some time. It's an enticing call that leaves his skin tingling. Tyson finally acts on imperative yearning and takes off searching for the source. The vampires led by DiMarco had killed the children's parents, kidnapped those who survived because of their strong need for the dragon magic that was being drained from those left behind. Into this emerging scene flys Tyson who sweeps up the vamps' lives and disposes them niftily. This is a story of two close knit families coming together to create familial connections of the best kind. I enjoyed that Myk knew Ty was his life mate. There wasn't any hesitation on either of their parts to know their "other". Though Ty treated Myk with kid gloves because Ty believed Myk had too much of burden raising Nevade, Sydney, and Leonard to take on more responsibility than he was already shouldering. I haven't had the chance to read the other two books in this series but this 3rd gave enough background that I knew the strong motivations coming from Ty's brothers and their respective mates. Sacrifice I believe is the bonding element throughout this whole series. This review is for the ARC I received.

We've reached the final book in this amazing triple installment series.

Tyson finally gets his mate, and they are truly perfect for one another. However, their meeting was sadly, dangerous and full of sorrow.

His mate, Mykel Ladon a fellow dragon, was mentally calling out to him for much needed help. He, his niece, and twin nephews, were kidnapped by vampires. All of his other family had been killed. Weakened and so close to death, it took everything he had to reach out. But did his mate hear him?

Tyson continues to hear this voice but he didn't know where it was coming from and who it belonged to, initially. Finally, there is a breakthrough. Tyson enters into his dragon form and seeks to rescue this man who has dominated his thoughts. To his surprise, there were also three children.

Seeing their current physical state completely broke his heart. He knew that nursing them all back to health was far more important than trying to claim him right away. Tyson also needed to convince Mykel that he was worthy of love, a family, a home, and a mate who truly loved his new family.

Dealing with the past, fighting inner demons, broken communication barriers and expanding their family, all needed to be dealt with for them to find their well deserved HEA.
Fitting in with the other brothers, mates and kids further proved to be a challenge.

Not to mention the growing number of non-traditional family pets, who seemed to surface for the right person and at the right time.

Wow this book starts right off with the action of Tyson saving Myk and his nieces and nephews from Vampires! The story then becomes a very slow burn Hurt and comfort romance since it takes Myk quite a bit of time to heal from what happened to him with the vampires
It is wonderful to experience how Tyson's entire family jumps in to help. The parts with the young kids are cuteness overload! Loved how they spoke in kid talk. Tyson is a big lovable and caring dragon and takes his time with Myk, holding him and nursing him back. I also appreciate that we can see that Myk is also a very strong and dedicated male as he heals. .
This is told from both Tyson and Myk's POV so you can feel everything along with them. I think one of my other favorite things is all the vivid descriptions of their surroundings and world. We also get beautiful descriptions of their Dragon Forms! I received and ARC copy of this book for my honest opinion. I definitely recommend this story to those looking for great world building, carrying over of family and characters and a very touching Hurt Comfort romance with some sweet and very steamy times! I read this as as standalone but I am going back reading the first two books in the series!!!

I have been waiting for Tyson to find his mate!!  Tyson has been hearing his mate call to him, needing his help and this was a terrific buildup to this story.  The first part of this book was great, finding Tyson's mate Myk. Dealing with the evil vampire DiMarco seemed too simple to me for such a great buildup.  I wanted an epic battle since the buildup has been going on for two books or some kind of hard won victory over evil.  I had really grown to want to know more about Tyson from the first books and I didn't find what I wanted here in this story.

Tyson and Myk focus much of their time on the children and I wanted more of the bonding and on their time together. We have so many amazing member's of this family (with the mates) that I wanted more of their individual talents and personalities.  I did like that Myk was willing to help Tyson really become part of the family and not hide in his workshop.  He helped Tyson become engaged with the nephews and niece.  This was a book of healing for Myk and it did bring a happy conclusion for our Dragon family.

This book is  the final book of the Dragon Hoard trilogy and really for most enjoyment should be read in sequence.

I received a copy for an honest review.

Finally Tyson has his own story. After centuries of loneliness, Tyson finally started hearing his mate call out to him in "Dragon Collector, book 2". Now his mates calls are more urgent. Tyson must find him fast.

Tyson finally finds his mate, held captive and tortured by vampires. Mykel (Myk) has lost almost everything. His brothers and their mates killed by those vampires and his niece and twin nephews captured alongside him. He tried to escape and protect the children but was overwhelmed by vampires. Myk is being drained of his blood and dragon magic and so are the children. He must escape before they're all killed. He calls out to the voice in his head for held and gathers the little strength remaining to set himself free. Finally his calls are answered when an amethyst colored dragon crashes to the roof and slays all the vampires with his help. It is his mate, Tyson.

Tyson must help Myk through his loss and make him realize that he still has family that loves him and that he's wanted. Tyson must also learn to be present and not hide away when he has doubts.

The dragon family grows by leaps and bounds, adding more dragonets, helpers and pets. It's a very full house. Thank goodness it's a castle fortress.

Tyson and Mykel's romance was sweet, but there was too much baby talk for me to fully enjoy the story. I understand why the little ones were such a big part of this book, but I wish I'd gotten to see more bonding moments between Tyson and Mykel. I felt like their relationship was squeezed into the gaps left behind by the rest of the family instead of being the main focus. Part of the reason I struggled to get into this story was the writing style--something about it missed the mark for me and I had a difficult time connecting to the characters because of it. I usually love an action-packed storyline, but in this case I wish there had been less going on so I could focus on getting to know the characters better. I did enjoy how steamy Tyson and Mykel's relationship got once the two of them were settled, and there was something fascinating about seeing how their dragon powers worked. All in all, I didn't hate the conclusion to this trilogy but I can't say it was my favorite of the series.

I WAS SO EXCITED THAT TYSON FINALLY GOT HIS STORY. Buuuuuut… Buuuuuut… sigh. I mean, it is a sweet story with minimal angst and tons of lack of communication and assumptions. So the start of the book was a bit of a letdown tbh.

These are the highlights for me; good and bad and meh.
- BAD: – this is my rant. I mean, WTH. This was a major letdown for me.
- GOOD: The budding relationship between Myk and Ty. Also, seeing everyone and how the relationships have grown.
- MEH: The book is centered heavily around the children than anything else.
I really wished that this book was more like the first one, which is my favorite. Sigh. I mean, Brand and Tyson are my favorite character and for a character like Tyson, this book fell flat.

POV: Dual First Person
Standalone or Series: 3rd in series: Dragon Hoard

The voice in your head, listen to it! Tyson kept hearing a voice requesting his help. He wondered about it until one day he felt the urgent need to act. He asked a question in his head and the voice responded! He followed his gut, and at the end he found Myk and three adorable children in extremely dire straights! He had to get aggressive with some dead creatures, but he won and rescued the small group. Myk had attempted to rescue his nephews a niece but got captured. They were tortured and in his despair, he mentally called out. He was surprised and hopeful, when he heard a response. The characters in the story are fun and delightful. Myk, is dragging a ton of baggage, but he's trying to lay it down for the kids. There is hope and despair, guilt and insecurity and love. Lotsa love! Will Myk and the kids recover? Will they get PTSD? How will Tyson and his brothers handle the addition to the family? Will his brothers welcome Myk and his brood? Good story. I got confused sometime as to who was talking. Fun group of people and absolutely adorable kids. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed the first two books in this trilogy, but this third one was kind of meh. In the first two, vampires were actively coming after the dragons. In this one, we start off with Myk imprisoned by the vampires, along with his niece and twin nephews. Tyson bursts in and rescues them and brings them back to his castle, where his two brothers, their mates, and their forty-eleven children are living. And that was it. No more vampires.

But also no plot or tension. Myk and Tyson predictably and seamlessly fall in love. The niece and nephews settle right in with this huge family of strangers, with only one minor outburst from a young girl who lost her entire family, including her parents, and was then tortured by vampires. Oh, and by the way, the story that Tyson's family believed was a prophesy about them and their children? Myk took one look at it and told them it was just a common children's story. So there went what could have been a storyline for the book. It was stupid anticlimactic.

And then there's a ton more smooching, Myk gets pregnant, and everyone lives happily ever after. Blah.

Tyson finally found his mate!!

I was super excited for the final book in this series! Tyson has been hearing his mate since the first book, knowing that he is out there but can't put his finger on where to find him. Tyson is used to being by himself, but finding Myc reminds him that he needs to be present.

Myc's character was strong from the very first time we meet him. He is pushing himself to get out of captivity to save his niece and nephews no matter the cost to himself.

It was great to see Tyson get his mate and children. I do with that the prophecy that the first 2 books were based upon came into play more in this book. It kinds seemed like the vampire issue and the prophecy that they were working on was tied up quickly and brushed under the rug. If the prophecy wasn't a read thing, it would have been nice to see Myc get time with all the brothers and mates to share some history as the group had previously come together. I did enjoy the book though and it was a nice ending to a great series!

Dragon Treasure by author Minerva Howe is the third and final book in the Dragon Hoard series. This story is told in Dual Pov which really helps me understand both men better. There is a lot to take in with this book. I feel the overall world that has been established really suffers from this being a three-book trilogy. There are a lot of unanswered questions and well inconsistencies. However, if you can look past that, there is a beautiful story inside these pages.

I would suggest reading these books in order. Since this is basically the end for now.

Tyson and Myk are a great couple. Myk is a tortured soul recovering from horrific events. He is brave and stronger than even he knows he is.

Tyson is a lovable and caring dragon. I think he is perfect for Myk.

I liked this ending to the series. Again, there are some inconsistencies and questions left unanswered. So, for me this was good. I am happy to have read it.

This book is amazing!!! Tyson will finally get his turn for his happily ever after when he is finally able to answer the call of his mate. Myk and his family are in grave danger. His brothers and their mates gone, he and his brothers’ children are being held by vampires. He is weakening but manages to finally reach Tyson through their mate call. Tyson answers and arrives in time to save them. Tyson is angry that Myk and the children have been so badly hurt and is desperate to prove to his mate that things will only get better. It takes Myk a while to feel like he fits in with Tyson and his brothers. The large family will come together in the best way to all chip in to help raise all the children in the house. Soon, Tyson and Myk have their own baby on the way and it will be amazing when she makes her entrance into their wonderful yet crazy family.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

OMG I totally loved the final book in this series. Tyson, our favorite elder brother finds his mate. We've been getting glimpses of the mate from Tyson, since he was hearing him, but we didn't know who he was. Myc is a fellow dragon that is being held captive by the baddie from book 1. And Tyson, hearing his distress call barges in and saves him and the little kiddies he is trying to protect. Once we get back to the compound we watch their love bloom.

This was a great ending to this series. We get to see all the brothers together with their mates and kids and trying to come together as a family. Because of Myc we are giving glimpses of what a normal dragon family is like and find out some interesting truths about the prophesy.

I definitely recommend this book. You need to the read the others to fully enjoy this book.

Tyson finally finds the voice that has been calling out to him and while it is mired in horrific sadness it brings about something special. Myk came with children because his family was slaughtered and is still trying to cope so he doesn't sense the feelings at first. I'm so happy for Ty that he got his long awaited happy ending. Arielle was absolutely a precocious darling and added so much needed comedy. I was a bit miffed that Myk wasn't welcomed into the family straight away and the kids all dumped with him. I loved how he pointed out the true origin of the legacy everyone was trying to deliver. A fantastic send off for this series for which I would love to read about the kids one day and finding their mates. With the big bad defeated this story focused on bonding and building connections with all the family.
