Wonderful story
I loved this book and all of the characters. As with all of the books in this series, there are compelling issues that are addressed. King was dealing with his past and betrayal from a woman who framed him for getting her pregnant. He didn't trust women, and then he met Claire, who is his friends sister. They have a rocky beginning, but amazing chemistry. Claire gets help from the Steel Patriots to u cover a horrible mystery of missing animals, experiments with creating new species, and a conspiracy. Mary Kennedy writes beautifully and creates great and complicated characters with interesting storylines. I always am excited for the next story and adventure.

Omg she didn't again.
Mary Kennedy has away of being real life issue alive in her books From abused , sex trafficking, criminal politicians to animals. Things we hear about in the news. Claire and King's story was such a pleasure to read and heart breaking to read on what was being done to such beautiful animals. Like all the Patriots before him King fell hard and fast for Claire. King reluctant at first because of a past experience but Claire was determine to get her man. Grant plays an important part in this book, he is now a team member and Claire's hero. Can't wait for his book. The Patriots and Reapers together fighting justice and fingers crossed if Ghost decides living in one state. Can't wait for Grant and Eve story

King and Claire
Another great story and I was really glad that the team and Claire were able to figure out what was happening with these amazing animals from the animal preserve that she worked at and ugh on poor Grants hand, but wow with the elephant and the gorilla and I loved that they recognized her and were being protective of her. These monsters that hunt and hurt these amazing creatures for sport or whatever just totally disgust me and I can only imagine how many rich and famous people or even politicians play a role in these horrendous activities. I will also say that Ms Kennedy has a very creative and vivid imagination to write some of her stories, but I haven't read one yet that I didn't enjoy, so Happy reading.

I hated the chip that King had on his shoulder at the start of this one, even if there was a good reason it was there. Glad that Claire didn't let that stop her and she let King know she was interesting in him in a good way, a way that he wouldn't be able to misinterpret. It was also interesting to see all the guys give advice to King about missing a good thing with Claire.
The trouble that following Claire was a bit crazy, a bit fantastical. I did love how the REAPER and Steel Patriots worked together and could potentially merge at some point. These 2 groups would be great together.
It sucked what happened to Grant, but I liked how Claire's words seemed to light a fire under him and not be so "oh woe is me". He proved in the end, he could do what needed to be done.

Great!
I chose this rating because this was actually a really good book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book of protection, compassion, kindness, and being a good person. I really enjoyed King and Claire story. I think the author did an amazing job In coming up with the characters for this book. I am really enjoying this series tremendous. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.

What's Happening To The Animals?
I've read each book in the series and loved each. Since I love animals I had to read this one. I cried a bit when I found out what the poor creatures went through. So sad, but the bad guys got what they deserved. And now we have a new hero in Grant. A big Thank you to the author for continuing the series. Please keep them coming. These are great!!

Unexpected
I initially thought this book would be covering the very tough topic of animal smuggling and it did but in a way that had not occurred to me. There are always so many threads being drawn in with your novels, old friends to catch up with, wondering where they will take us next. Looking forward to Grant's book and what a strong character this man has become.

Hot Bodied King
Claire and King were an instant attraction. Claire straight forward and King reluctant because of past issues. Claire pressed forward letting him know she wasn't going to use him. King finally let his guard down and it was on. They faced a lot of danger together and with the rest of the MC. Great read

Very interesting
Really liked this story, very different from the other books in this series. Good suspense and good love story as usual. I hope there are more books to come! Love this series, as I have written many times :).

I love these books. I gravitate to books in a series foremost, but it is made better when the previous book's characters are still upfront in the storyline. Mary's books include it all, strong women, alpha males, dramatic storylines, and best of all, hot romance. Love them all.

Another great story
I loved King and Claire’s story. I was happy to revisit all the other characters we have all come to love. I can’t wait for Grant now!
