A mate bond is stronger than any other force in the world.

At least, that's what they say.

But what Titus and I have is... unique. Especially as, even though we'd been reborn so many times, the dragon has never had a mate. No one knows what to expect.

Outside of that, everything with Damen, Julian, and Miles is not all fun and games. Things are different now, and while that's natural, I'm not entirely sure I'm ready to make that next level of commitment.

However, we might not have a choice.

When Titus's investigation ramps up, becoming entangled with my debut case, I've run out of all other options. The reality is, my usual methods of coping won't work anymore. But to live is to grow, and to change.

Change is the sixth book in the Grimm Cases series, and it’s another addictive addition to the series. You cannot read this one unless you have read the prior books, as the story is continuing throughout, so be sure to go and start at Origins if you’ve yet to.

A lot happens in Change, with plenty of details coming to light that will have a big impact upon the events that happen going forward. I’ll be honest and say there were a few points in this one where I felt things dragged a little, but it was not enough to take away my enjoyment of the story. There were plenty of details introduced that made for gripping reading, details that have me theorising about all that will happen in the future books.

In fact, some of the details in this have left me with the need to go and start the Red trilogy. I was planning on waiting until the trilogy was complete, but the stories are interacting more, and I need to know more about those characters. Plus, it’ll tide me over until I can dive into the next book.

All in all, Change was a wonderful addition to the series that has left me desperate for book seven.

I remember quite vividly how I started reading this series while traveling to and from work. During my bike ride from the station to the office and back the guys and the story were constantly on my mind. I already read a few reverse harems before reading this one, but the story felt special and most of all different. I'm therefore really happy that the author trusts me with an arc for this series and that I can already dive into the new book while waiting for its release date.

What I love and hate at the same time is how Lyla Oweds takes her time to build everything up. Sometimes it feels like we're waiting quite long for a breakthrough or for pieces of the puzzle to click, but every time it eventually does pay off it's amazing and spectacular and it was totally worth the wait. Because in the end it's the build up and the waiting that makes the finale all the better and all the more emotional.

Bianca's journey is far from an easy one. She's a unique character, a character you will not find in any other book. She's also growing a lot and learning so much. And all those character traits that were just weird quirks in the previous books are now blossoming into beautiful and useful qualities. She's smart, she's observing, she's amazingly good at reading people and knowing what's going on deep down and now she has learned to speak her mind more often.

And not just that. This book is all about empowerment. The title of the book is in that way a big giveaway. Change is coming, change is happening and Bianca is ready to deal with everything that has happened to her, with all the hurt and the pain and with her future and destiny. I really can't wait to see where this will lead to in future books. The mythology is complicated and amazingly rich, Mu's plans are still a little secretive and there is so much more to discover! BRING IT ON!

Bianca has grown and is starting to have more confidence in standing up for herself, but of course life can’t go smoothly. I love that this is the Titus-centric book. I love the scene where they semi-recreate their meeting. I’m kind of worried about Belial and what he may be up to. What I love most about this series is the attention to detail and how mottled hints from past book play out. I can’t wait for Bond to see how Bianca deals with Damen and Thanksgiving :)

4.5 rounded up

A lot happens in this installment, some of it good, some of it bad - but all of it aimed at stepping forward. Bianca is growing, as are the guys - though it’s hard on all of them. The background plot is becoming clearer, and their roles more defined.

I have just enjoyed this series from the start, my interest has only grown with each installment.

So much was looking forward to getting more insight into everyone, especially Titus! Can I also just say that to watch characters grow over a course of a series, is just really one of the best reads.

If you are looking for a good series that will keep you wondering what will happen next, this is it!!

Everyone's back together again, but that doesn't mean it's smooth sailing.

My favorite aspect of Change is that we don't have so much of the distance that its predecessor did. Sure, Damen's being a pain in the @$$ because he doesn't quite understand how to restart and strengthen his connection with Bianca, Miles is still a little bit of a fluttery scatterbrained mess, but Julian and Titus are still fabulous, and there are some great signs of progress with Brayden and Bryce. Plus, I know he's not everyone's favorite, but there's even some lovely and funny moments with Finn.

Now, I enjoyed book five, but the crew as a whole just has this chemistry that draws me in. The way they play off each other, help each other, bicker, and even sometimes hate each other gives me life and laughs, and it was really wonderful to have them all back again. And we also get some Gloria Protean and Maria moments that had me hysterical and just dying to have more girl power in Bianca's life.

Now, there's a blend of Oweds' usual slow and steadiness in some aspects, but that's because Bianca's relationship with each of her men progresses at an individual pace. I think it will take a long time until they're all in an "equal" sort of place, but that's okay. In Change, Titus really gets the opportunity to shine, and I think he has a really strong grasp of Bianca that the others aren't really aware of/valuing yet. The dynamic between the two of them is moving forward and growing, where they're getting an adorable (and even a tiny bit steamy) dynamic where there's something truly special for the two of them.

Now, for my other favorite, Julian, oh, I just love him. We learn a little more about him in Change, and I think there are some big walls that he's started to leave the tiniest cracks in. Now he's just got to be willing to break them down so that he can get the connection with Bianca that Miles and Titus have begun creating.

Overall, we see more about Bianca's powers, her coming into her own and showing a bit more steel in that spine, and there are developments for her having more time spent away from the guys and developing some independence and outside relationships. As long as you've got that patience for the slow burn (which I do), then this series is still a great investment and adventure that you'll keep coming back to.

In the sixth installment, while we still mostly see the story unfold through Bianca's eyes, we also get insight from the viewpoints of her quintet - Damen, Julian, Titus and Miles. This unique take on the five elements (air, fire, earth, water, wood) and their supernatural attributes still fascinate me. I couldn't stop reading (as usual), and where, with the previous books, I could easily follow the plot, this one was fast-paced and so exciting to the very last page. In fact, putting this book down was basically impossible...

Lyla's writing improves in leaps and bounds with every new release. I still see quite a bit of typos and grammatical errors, but they still don't detract from the story being told. The unique take on the supernatural world is the best part. Her characters are consistent in their growth and the path they are following changes with the growth.

I still wish I could learn more about their past lives, although we did get to see more in this book that truly made an impact to the story.

Since this is the sixth book in the Grimm Cases series, I'm not going to delve into the plot itself. While I will mention is that this book answers a lot of questions, and opens a lot of new ideas to the reader. This was undoubtedly the best book thus far.

Thanks to @lyla.oweds and @lolasblogtours for the book to read.

Firstly, I received an ARC copy of this book, however my review is based on my honest opinions and thoughts.

Change was a wonderful edition to the Grimm Cases series. Miss Oweds story building continues to unfurl and the plot continues to thicken in this witty, charming and emotionally reeling book.

Bianca’s continued growth is really highlighted in Change, she is faced with old hurts, future surprises and new relationships. Where she once would have run, she stands a bit more steady on her feet and it’s clear she’s slowly overcoming her own fears.

The boys, ah we love them so much. Change’s is Titus’ book and we learn a bit more about his dragon this time around. However all the boys get time to shine and either help answer or expand the mystery of their pasts.

Bianca’s family relations and friendships get even more growth in Change and how I do love me some good Bryce, Bayden, and Finn time. If you enjoy their stories and time this book doesn’t disappoint.

The journey continues with Change and it’s only getting better. I already cannot wait for the next one! I highly recommend getting into this as soon as possible, you won’t be disappointed.

I received an ARC copy of this book, but my review is based on my honest opinion.

Slight Spoilers:
I really loved this book. I really love seeing the character development from book one till now. Bianca has grown so much yet still remains the adorable, funny character she was in the first book. Her willingness to do some things in this book that she absolutely refused to do in the previous books shows that really well. I’m excited to see her growth in the books to come. And her telling the girl off in the gym, while also giving her a confidence boost, while also unconsciously using her powers was awesome. I can’t wait to see her get better control on them and use it in future books, especially with her new development.

Titus honestly became my second favorite in this books. His conversations with Bianca were just really refreshing. I love how he was holding her accountable in terms of her being a leader (after the hospital incident with Bryce). He wasn’t being mean but he didn’t sugar coat it either on what she would need to do. Honestly every scene he was in with Bianca was top tier and I’m glad he overcame his issue in Chapter 28.

This is sorta becoming a Bianca and Titus love note lol. All in all this book was really amazing and I’m super excited for the next one!!!

Madly in love with this book 😍

' this isn't the greatest place for a beautiful young woman like yourself '

This in the next book in the grimm series, the main aim in this book is Bianca and Titus and their development as mates.
So much happens in this book, Bianca manages to get into trouble yet again. But this time she has to save herself and those ... which she does.
This book we get a look into Finns feelings for bianca, he truely did care for her.
Julian opens up about his childhood, also learns some dark truths about his own grandfather.
Miles gets Bianca jealous and then get lucky after 😘
But Titus just moves my heart in this book, he does his research on how to pleasure woman... and he uses it 🔥 she finally accepts becoming his mate! He gives her a taste of what is to come, but he also opens up regarding his childhood - his dad and touches on about why his mother ran away

Highly recommended this book 😍

I read this all in one sitting and I can say that this series is definitely a guilty pleasure. It was especially a pleasure to see Bianca finally own up to her own need for growth. She faces a lot of things in this book and although she was scared, Bianca finally showed some of her quintet she’s not so delicate and in need of protection.

Tbh I’m buzzed writing this on the beach but I will say I did enjoy Bianca in this book. She had some backbone unlike before and is showing her calculated side. I loved Miles and Titus in this book. The Miles scene at the soccer practice? DAMN. And Titus is my fav boi.

Anyway, going to read the other book now!

Bianca is a character that is constantly developing in such amazing ways. The little snippets of her thoughts that we are gifted with can be so outlandish that you can't help but laugh and be in awe of her. I was happy to read in this installment that Bianca is gaining more confidence in her relationships with Mu, her family, her mate and her Quintet.
With every new book my fascination with Bianca and this story grows and I can't wait to read more and see where the prophecy leads this everyone.

Another fantastic instalment of this series, bianca is the type of character I’ve never come across before, she’s so very strange yet perfect, funny yet sometimes annoying, and a whole list of attributes that shouldn’t work as a main character, but I find myself loving her more and more after each book! This book focuses more on Titus the dragon and how having a mate changes all the past rebirths and honestly loved it! Cannot wait for the next one really hope Lylas writing quickly as I’m just so impatient to read the next one!

When I started this series I wasn’t expecting some of the depth and convoluted plot lines that come with it but I haven’t been disappointed. Bianca is definitely an acquired taste, but once you get used to her, every book reveals new parts of her and we get more and more insight into her thought process. I love the developing relationships with the guys and I can’t wait for everything with Damon to come to a head. If you’ve been enjoying the series so far, you won’t be disappointed by this book. :)

Great mid series book!

This book has missing in the last five books. To follow this series is such an amazing journey I really like how the characters are developing. In the sixth book Bianca really comes into her own by the end of the story and I really love where these characters are going. I cannot wait until Bond comes out.

But I want MORE

Feeling a little Veruca Salt… “don’t care how! I want it now!” I love this author, this series, these characters, this is world. Every word. I don’t ever want it to end but also I want to read over the authors shoulder, pick her brain and know NOW what is happening. Reasonable right?

Amazing

I absolutely love this series. It’s amazing to watch the growth and changes with each character. You could reread these books multiple times and find something you missed each time. Meeting more of the secondary character was nice and I hope they show up more in the next book. These books have so much depth and twist and turns. It’s an amazing read.

I am not even sure where to begin with this review. So many things happened in this book and there is a lot to process.

So, I said in my review of the last book that I was starting to feel sorry for Finn. That is still true in this book. I feel like we understand him and his motives so much better in this installment. It turns out that he isn't really such a bad guy after all. I am also, shipping him and Bryce at this point. I would love to see that relationship develop.

Speaking of Bryce, I hated him at first because he was a giant douch canoe. However, I really liked him and Brayden in this book. They really want to support Bianca and love her immensely. Bryce in particular seems to need to work on his people skills.

Damen is currently my least favorite character. He is a whiny, privileged ass hat. I am hoping his character development improves his attitude and reactions.

Miles and Julian had some development in this book, but I learned more about them in the other books. I am really looking forward to Julian and what is going to happen between him and Bianca once he pulls his head out of his ass. He is currently my favorite.

And Titus, holy hot damn Titus. He is going to be a phenomenal mate. He. Is all about pushing Bianca while keeping her from harm and he loves her fiercely.

Bianca went through so much in this book and in her life. I am thankful to see her come out stronger, fiercer, and more determined to stand on her own two feet. She is an amazing heroine and her inner monologs are hilarious. I am hoping to see her truly work through her trauma like she promised.

All in all this was a fantastic installment in this series. Lyla really has a way of making the characters come to life. I am looking forward to the next book.

Don’t start this series because the author has already said she will not be completing it. The author has instead started writing a “re-imagining” that is loosely based on this incomplete series.
