Sire climbed the ladder of success in the streets, building a profitable organization in the process. Unfortunately, his love life hasn't been quite as successful. Things are about to change when the quietly beautiful Maia walks into his life.
This author is new to me and this book is good. I enjoyed the plot. There was a lot of attention to detail that added to the world without feeling like too much. A few criticisms but nothing major enough to discuss. I would recommend it.
First, it's really short. Like, too short for a part two. But, it's well-written. This type of story isn't my usual. I'm more of a romance/suspense reader but I was bored so I took a chance on this. It wasn't just simple words on the page, which I expected. The story moved really fast, so I didn't connect with any of the characters or feel what they were feeling. However, the writing style was great and I'm going to check out the author's other works.
While I do believe this storyline has something really going for it, I felt that it wasn’t developed enough. Because it’s so short it felt rushed and like the author was trying to hurry up and get parts in. Additionally, there were some typos/grammatical errors as well.
Hopefully when book 2 comes out on 1/26/21, there will be a little more depth into the storyline and it’s characters.
I read a lot, actually I read a lot of urban lit written by women so I didn't k ow what to expect. This story was direct and to the point, kind of like who men are 😁. I feel that there is a snake in the camp, and its close to Sire. Also, Andrea is going to pose a problem I see it already, because Sire is going to fall for Maia HARD. I'm excited for part 2. What a great book
The cover and synopsis definitely pulled my interest. I didn't imagine Sire and Maia meeting the way they did. I thought it was odd how Maia was asked to step in for her brother. I'm curious to see how the story plays out. Andrea is an interesting character I want to see how her role plays out too.
This was my first read by this author and I was impressed. He packed so much into this short read but I didnt feel like anything was left out. I am excited to see what part 2 brings I need to see what will happen.
I like the main character Siri he's smart and compassionate but he will also do what is necessary to protect what he has built it will be interesting to see how this love story will end.
First time read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. Storyline flowed, very descriptive. A quick read but a page turner. Definitely a cliffhanger so of course I'm ready for part 2.
This was a very quick read and in eagerly anticipating Part 2. I would've liked a little more details about what happened during Sire's downtime. Hopefully it'll get answers in Part 2.
Great storty. My only complaint is the length of the book. It felt short to me. I devoured the book in one sitting. But other than that great plot, character development and story line. Can't wait to see how the next book is.
Way too short, was like a really long intro. Book is called Sire but you are in the minds of multiples characters. Near the end the grammar and spelling errors increased. Good concept but need a fully developed story.
I like how this story is unfolding. Love that Sire is a thinker, Maia is her own person and the slow burn between the two of them. Really want to see how this plays out!
I just finished Sire. My first urban fiction read lol I liked it. I liked it even more as I read. Really liked the ending, but feel that there MUST be a Sire - Book 2 at some point :)
A lot of ppl thought it was too short, but it was the perfect length to me. Lots of interesting characters, so he can create several books based on them in the future.
