Ten years in a cage would change any man, but for an alpha like Jax, a decade of chains was enough to turn him into a beast.
All Victoria Hyde ever wanted was to help eradicate the worst diseases plaguing beta-kind. Still, she can’t believe her luck, when right after earning her doctorate in genetic engineering, she manages to land her dream job in a top laboratory.
But the rosy illusion quickly vanishes the moment she comes face to face with her new research subject—a wild alpha bound in chains.
Suddenly, Victoria is faced with a terrifying dilemma—follow her orders or follow her heart…even if it means freeing a dangerous creature who may be more beast than man.
Welcome to the Boundarylands. A place where the only way to know your true nature is to feel the touch of an Alpha. Omegas may be rare, but every woman knows their fates are hellish—held captive, broken, mated, knotted, and bred.
Vonn is the fifteenth book in The Boundaryland Omegaverse, a hot new ABO romance series featuring knotting, heats, and possession. Wear gloves, cause this sh*t is hot.
Ever since she was little, Callie Rhodes' imagination has been landing her in trouble. From daydreaming about far off worlds in class, to escaping into the made up stories of her mind in the meeting room, she's been creating tales to take her away from the real world for as long as she can remember. Now she lives among the tall trees of Northern California, and has found a way to make a living off her fantasies.
This series started as one thing and morphed into something so much better. I get so excited each time the next installment comes out. I am loving this storyline. I'm sad that The Boundarylands are over but I'm super stoked for the The Unchained. Squeeeee!!! I mean super modified alphas?! What are we about to go through?!
I just have to add...poor sweet Jax, melt my freaking heart. What a sweet couple for the series ending. Well done!!

Jax de Callie Rhodes Serie The Boundarylands libro 15
Argumento:
I feel like I've read this before... Is this where it ends? Seems like a strange end to this book series. Jax is held in a black site and Victoria is an unwilling beta scientist.
This book didn't gel as well as other books in the series for me. I felt like the timeline was very rushed and the bad guys were essentially twirling their mustaches within a day of the heroine Victoria's arrival at her new job at a top-secret government lab. I did like the immediate and building connection between Victoria and Jax, but the pace of the story and the way that Victoria was expected to somehow produce results within a few days after her arrival was highly unrealistic.
I also, frankly, missed the Boundarylands. I felt like this book should be the start of the new series, as it really didn't have any connection to the previous books in the series. That felt jarring to me; I kept waiting for elements of previous books to appear, and they didn't.
Thank heavens that Victoria and Jax are really great characters. Their strength and connection is what made this book work overall for me.
Romance genre: omegaverse Part of a series: Yes (The Boundarylands) Length: 178 pages
Plot: Victoria is a scientist who specializes in some sort of genetic something or other, and she's gotten this amazing job dealing with immunology or infectious diseases or something (it's obvious that my special skill is science, yeah?). But on her way to the new job, she's spending the night at a hotel, and her new boss shows up and forces her in a car, and they go to the new site. Once she gets there, she realizes the job is not quite what it seems. She'll be basically held in a basement while she works on a project involving Alphas. She's appalled because this isn't what she agreed to, she believes (correctly) that she won't make it out of there alive, and she's a decent person who wouldn't experiment on people. And then she meets Alpha 23 - Jax. There's a connection there that she can't explain, but before she can make sense of it, she has to get them out of there alive.
Character development: To start, this story actually reminded me of a much less dark Feral (which is my all-time favorite omegaverse). So - pretty standard as far as omegaverse, I think, but also really great! There was a much more involved plot than previous books in the serious, with on-page villains (who were caricatures, yes, but they were going to die anyways, so...). Victoria was really smart, and I'm glad that her academic curiosity didn't overtake her compassion. I liked having Jax be unable to talk as well - although I imagine it might be a skill he can gain back - because it means that they had to rely on other knowledge and a deeper communication. They were a good fit for each other. I can't wait to get Ransom's story as well.
Would I read more from this author/in this series: yes Next book in the series:Ransom
This was very predictable and I found that I was skipping pages at a time to get through the book. This was very similar to a series that I read three years ago but this storyline was condensed into one book instead of the 3-book series that I read. This wasn't nearly as steamy as the first 12 books in this series.
I think this may just be my favorite in the series. I loved Jax and Victoria and it was a nice change of pace that it took place outside of the Boundarylands; a nice introduction into the new series! Looking forward to reading the escaped alphas' stories.
Zumindest will sie fest daran glauben.
Tremendously excited about her new job, Victoria gets the shock of her life when she’s basically kidnapped by her new boss, brought to an underground bunker, and led into a room where a naked alpha is being kept in a cage.
Fulmer is back in this book and his atrocities are on full display. The horrors he has wrought over untold numbers of innocents are beyond belief, and Victoria realizes she is going to be just one more added to the ever growing number.
From the moment she sees Jax, they have a connection. Never having seen an Alpha before, she’s not sure what it is or how to explain it.
The book is the culmination of the Boundarylands series and everything comes together with a bang. Victoria and Jax are a great couple. It was great to have a book in this series where the woman was actually trying to help the alphas instead of being afraid of them.
If you’ve not read the rest of the series, I strongly recommend reading those books before this one. While this book can stand on its own, the power of it makes more sense when you know what comes before.
I have been anxiously awaiting the newest installment of the Boundarylands series and boy oh boy, it did not disappoint. This was by far the most intense, plot-heavy book in the series and it perfectly opened up Rhodes’ omegaverse to new territory. So far, the books focused first on the two different sections of the American Boundarylands, but now we’ll be following the actions of the escaped Alphas. I honestly have no idea what the next books will be like, and I am here for it!!!
Every one of these books has the perfect storm of romance, steam, and thrill. I love that they’re short enough to read in an afternoon, yet Rhodes expertly maintains continuous plot lines such that the stakes get higher and higher with each book. Ugh I don’t know how I’ll wait until June for the next one!!!
🐺 “It was as if their bond had existed even before they'd ever met. As if they were always meant to be.” ~~~ What an epic finale!
Victoria is a smart, brave, ethical and selfless beta. And she’s willing to sacrifice everything, even her life, to save the Alphas in the research facility.
Jax is strong, protective and honorable. It’s amazing he still has his humanity even after everything he’s been through the past ten years.
I loved their relationship - despite the evil that they face, they are so caring, protective and supportive of each other. Their chemistry is great and so hot.
Overall, the story is a wonderful read filled with action, danger, angst, drama, steam, twists, turns and strong and amazing characters.
Jax's book has us entering a new destination. We enter into a place that is hundreds of feet below ground. A place where experimentation is done on mainly Alpha but also Omegas with a few Betas thrown in. Right now 112 Alphas are being held in their prison cells being exposed to any and every kind of torture imaginable. Victoria is a beta scientist who is brought in to help combat rare diseases, or so she believes. When she sees what is actually happening she is sickened. She wants to help the Alphas if she can but she is drawn to one Alpha in particular, Jax. Read to find out what turn this series is taking. This one is filled with more action than the others. It also has a few scenes that may be objectionable to some people.
I love that this final book in this series continues to a new series of awesome reading. I loved this story as it tells about the alphas stuck in a hidden research lab where they struggle to survive the testing done to them. The growing romance between Victoria and Jax is sweet and intense, bringing to light their bonding and Victoria to become an omega new and wholly Jax's. Their escape with the other alphas is a perfect promise to the future series I look forward to getting. Thank you Ms. Callie Rhodes for these wonderful stories that have entertained my imagination and kept my sanity during difficult times in my life. Praise to you and your wonderful storytelling. I'm forever grateful!
This romance had very high stakes and plenty of action. The hero was devoted and caring and the heroine was really smart and ethical, so she was deeply sympathetic. The world building was vivid, with the alternate United States coming to life. The development of the romantic relationship was hot and deeply romantic. I really look forward to reading the series featuring the test subject Alphas. I really like the direction that this series is going in, with a tight overarching series plot and increasingly high stakes.
Callie Rhodes is one of the best author I have had the pleasure of reading her books
I have read the entire series from book 1 all the way till Jax. I couldn't put the books down. Every book is incredible. The Alpha's are all sexy, kind, powerful, and gentle All the Omegas are independent, strong, beautiful inside and out. I cant wait till Callie finishes the next portion of the series. Thank Callie for helping me to be part of your book. I felt the love of family and friends through out each book.
Ya sé cómo funciona lo del celo y toda la vaina, but man, that was the most obviously thing to do, primero liberar a los demás y después fuck pero pues ya. Solo eso tenía que decir.
This one is different, it leads us to a new series about the Alphas that are in an underground research facility. Victoria only wanted to find a cure for diseases that have taken loved ones and ruined families. she enters the facility and quickly realizes that she is expendable. Jax draws her to him, she doesn't know why, bit she wants to save him. There are some typos, but it is well written.
This was probably my favorite in the series. Toward the ending my suspension of disbelief crumbled when instead of escaping they decided sexy time was priority number 1. I lost it to the point I had to put it down TWICE! Other than that my inner science nerd enjoyed the majority of the book. Like the others in the series there was a large need for editing but it was easy to correct and read around it.
This had one of the strongest storylines of the series. The heroine was clever and determined. The ending was a bit abrupt, but it was a decent read. Mostly.
**Spoiler** I’m still not sure about the heroine touching the hero as soon as she was able. I kinda thought they’d free the other alphas first, before indulging their ‘natures’ - but I can see how that would’ve caused issues with the storyline.
I usually enjoy the boundary lands got hooked on the first one. I wish she would of stuck to same format and as I’ve read others I’ve enjoyed this one was a hard read. The beginning kept going over Victorias fears of being stuck in the underground lab and how she got there was so hard to get through and jax just was a money on a cage barely any depth to him I just didn’t care for this one at all
What a great ending to the original Boundary lands crew. Not only did we get to see the master escape and the likely downfall of this project. We also got an explanation for the only betaxalpha mating from earlier. The tests are crap and more than half the world could be omega\alphas thanks to gene passives. Certainly a far cry from the "they are rare" nonsense the beta government spills. Ransom I bet is the bomb.
After the last couple of books, I was a bit apprehensive about finishing the series. But I'm glad I finished it! This one was one of my favorite of the series. From the get go Victoria and Jax have this automatic connection, even though she is not an omega. I think Callie Rhodes did an excellent job of balancing the overall plot of the series and the romance between Victoria and Jax. I would love to have an epilogue to see how they are living on their own. But great wrap up to the series.
Whew!!! This world took on a whole new journey!! I was on pins and needles wondering what Victoria was going to do bring in that lab with Jax. Callie Rhodes did not disappoint with the action, storyline, angst, and smexy times!!! She has now given us more Alphas that we need to meet!!!
A very welcome change of setting and plot formula. Although I enjoyed reading them, the Boundarylands stories were predictable and getting a bit worn out. I'm looking forward to the new series, starting with Ransom. As always, this author needs an editor, or a proofreader, or at the very least, spellcheck. Nevertheless, I'll keep reading. These books are fun.
Short, sweet, and fun read that helped get me out of my book slump! I like that these boundaryland books are all very different in terms of background story. Also, while many omegaverse books make me drepressed, these ones don't. They are a bit dark sometimes without making me feel like the hero is abusive, so thanks for that!
Loved Jax and Victoria story. Plenty of action and romance even though the lead characters had to improvised. Was a little worried about how the beta female was going to transition but you really made it work. I highly recommend this story. Can't wait for Ransom's adventure!
HEA Series, not standalone Jax has been kept prisoner for ten years in the secret facility the beta gvnmnt uses to test and torture people. When a new scientist is brought in, she knows she isn't getting out alive unless she does the impossible and saves the prisoners. This book really just sets up the next series, which I hope has better editing.
